Private One Piece Glassblowing Lesson For 1 Or 2 People

I can't add much more than the other reviewers have said about how unique and interesting an experience this was. Pricey but worth it and I wanted them to have my 5 stars. Thank you, Vito (Victor), for being so patient and helpful while still letting us do the work.

We had a surfing lesson cancelled due to weather. So glad it was, as we were able to stop by and learn about glass blowing. Dan from the front desk was very knowledgeable and had a genuine love of sharing it. After watching a few of the artists work on a piece, we decided to book our own session. At first I thought it was a little pricey, but figured why not try something for the first time?! Victor was our instructor and he was fantastic! We chose a blowfish and he got everyone involved. It was a lot more hands on than I anticipated. They allowed us to take videos of the entire session, and now we have an amazing keepsake to remember our trip to Maui! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

We decided to add glass blowing to our most recent Hawaii vacation and it exceeded every possible expectation! I've been intrigued by Moana Glass for years and since we had an extended stay in Maui, I knew doing the glass blowing class and making our own glass sculpture was an activity that I was super interested in. It did not disappoint. First, upon check in, Dan was just awesome. Explaining to us the choices and options we had in front of us and carefully explaining how everything would work and what the process would be like. When it was time to start, we were introduced to our teacher, Yashu, and he was amazing. He was so patient with us and he walked us through each and every step, answered every question, and was just an exceptional teacher and person. We had an incredible experience and we're so proud of our new glass fish! This is truly a unique experience and I can't recommend the activity any higher, it was incredible and so much fun! Thank you, Dan, Ryan, Paul, and Yashu for this awesome adventure!

The glassblowing class was a unique and fun experience. We shared the process of making a glass figurine and learned a lot about the different techniques in glassmaking. The guide was very friendly and patient. We recommend this activity for anyone visiting the area.

100% recommend this activity. It's an experience you won't soon further. Hank was a great glass guide. I will do this every time I go to Maui. Been going for 26 years and just found these guys. This was an amazing experience. Really got to participate and feel like I actually made it. Paul was an excellent teacher and I created a piece of art the I will have for ever. I did the fish and it was worth the upgrade.

Amazing experience! The entire process was fascinating and Vito was a great instructor who helped us feel safe and comfortable through each step. Everyone we encountered was friendly and knowledgable. My mom and I made a heart and a Christmas ornament that we will have as keepsakes of our special time in Maui! While visiting Maui, we did the Moana Glass blowing private lessons for two for my husband and myself. It was absolutely fantastic! We had a 2-hour session and with the wonderful help of our instructors, Victor and Louie, we created the most beautiful turtle and large glass vase. Victor and Louie were amazing instructors and coached us through each piece. We loved that they really let us do most of the 'work' while guiding us. It truly was an amazing experience and even more wonderful that we ended up with 2 special mementos from our time on Maui. They shipped our pieces to us, and they were packaged extremely well and arrived very quickly. Also, a shoutout to Sue who was incredibly helpful in booking our session! Highly recommend!!

Booked a lesson to make a large starfish. Booking was easy, direct thru the website, so no problems there! Arrived early for the lesson to browse the Art Gallery, beautiful pieces of art! The lesson was amazing, very informative all throughout the session. Had a wonderful experience, fully recommend to anyone interested in getting up close and personal with glass blowing. I was Blown Away :)

We made puffer fish and had an amazing time! Louie was our instructor and very fun to work with. Definitely recommend doing this!

It was totally worth it!!! The booking covered some smaller pieces, but I LOVED our option to upgrade!! My husband and I made a fish and are so excited to pick it up on our way out!!💕🐠

Oh my goodness, there is not enough space to tell you how AMAZING this experience was. From the moment Sue greeted us to the tour at the end and meeting Ryan Staub it was incredible. I cannot say enough about our Artist Paul who was patient, kind, funny, encouraging and so very talented! He helped me create the most beautiful fish and I walked away with a love for glass blowing that I never knew was in me. I seriously wanted to do more and more! We had been looking to purchase a glass piece and passed by the Art Gallery when Sue offered a private class to make our own. I am so thankful she did! Maui is beautiful and has a lot to offer but this was the highlight of our trip. That’s saying a lot as we did a lot! I highly recommend Moana Glass if you are looking for a special piece of glass or metal art and of course for this experience of creating your own. It turned out beautifully and the memories will last my lifetime. Thank you so much Paul, Sue and Ryan for your Aloha and many blessings as you continue to build your new space! We will be back! An unexpected, delightful excursion away from the Ritz Carlton resort. Everyone at Moana was wonderful and our instructor Victor was a really nice guy and so talented. We just received our glass and it’s more beautiful than we remembered when making it.

My 7 year old said the class to make a starfish here was his favorite part of the trip - that's pretty high praise :) We drove past coming down the bypass on a rainy day and lucked out with a walk in (but I recommend booking on their website). Victor was our teacher, he did a great job of taking my son through the steps, simplifying where it was necessary and offered lots of explanations for endless questions. My kid has a lot of anxiety about fire and Victor's calm confidence really helped the experience become more than we expected - therapeutic. I cannot tell you how proud he was to pick up the starfish the next day - and then make a list of all the shapes he was going to make on our next trip. Awesome experience!

Great class fun experience I'd do this again

I was honestly nervous when we arrived for our private lesson with Victor. I’ve never done glass blowing before and had no idea how this was going to go. My husband and I had so much, and I’m so happy with the result. I would definitely recommend and hope to go back someday.

This was a fun time. Luis was professional and knowledgeable. He helped us make a great piece. We would definitely do this again.

Partner and I saw this as we were driving by and decided to stop. We watched them making various items, and decided to do one of the “lessons”. They were booked up for the day, so, we came back the next day. This was a lot of fun! We would do this again!

This was a great time. Our instructor helped us great a great glass piece. It was not difficult and we were totally safe handling the hot material. We would definitely do this again.

Had the best experience making drinking glasses. Our instructor Louie and Vinnie were the best and had lot of fun. What a special way to spend my birthday with my daughter trying something new. The glasses we made came out amazing and will always be a special keepsake to remember our trip!!!

I surprised my husband Mark, with a class for his 50th Birthday. It was AMAZING! Jessie was the instructor and he was the best. He explained each step and was very welcoming. His approach to teaching was great! My husband truly enjoyed the class. This has been on my husband's bucket list for years and I am glad that I found an excellent company to work with.

Absolutely awesome experience!! My wife has wanted to do this for years and they gave her a real great experience! She absolutely loves her fish she made with the help of a wonderful teacher. We had it shipped and it was well packaged and it is now displayed on a mantel. Thank you for the excellent experience!!

Fantastic experience making my very own glass fish !! I loved the staff who did an excellent job teaching me to make a beautiful blue/green/ red fish. It May seem pricey but it’s cheaper than two people attending a luau and I take something home.

We had such a great time with this glass blowing experience. We make a turtle and a blowfish. They shipped them to our home since we were traveling on to another island and were worried about them breaking. They are beautiful and it was a great experience! Highly recommend.

We went to a couple of glass shops, and stopped on our way back to our condo. Seen some beautiful sinks, and I made a blue star fish. Con not recommended this place more. I had an awesome time.staff was great and open to deal on some items.

This was the most amazing experience, I purchased a beautiful octopus by Ryan and made my own Honu with Luis and Paul. I’m going to bring back my Granddaughters to do this, one of the best and coolest experiences I’ve had, I would recommend coming by and taking a lesson or just stop by to see their work, it’s beautiful!!

We chose to make a fish which was a $150 upgrade to the basic one piece price. We had a lot of fun making it. The instructor made sure it came out perfect.

What a great experience! I’ve blown glass before, and this was really special to blow glass in Maui with such amazing people from Moana! My Glass collaborator Paul was super cool and I can’t believe I made a glass blown fish within an hour. I definitely will be blowing glass again. Next time I visit the island. And also the art gallery really blew me away!

When I first arrived in Maui, I passed Moana Glass on the way to our Airbnb and I knew I had to do a class before returning home. On our last day in Maui, I took a chance and called to see if there was availability for one person and they took me right in and the process was simply amazing! Paul Petersen was knowledgeable and friendly and made me feel like a glass expert through the whole process. I made a gorgeous fish which will forever remind me of the natural beauty and spirit of Maui. It's a pricey activity, but worth every penny!

We had a fun and interesting experience creating a glass starfish with our funny and patient instructor, Jesse. I was stunned when reading their sign inviting everyone to blow their own piece of glass art and immediately scheduled a lesson. Our piece is absolutely gorgeous, if I don’t say so myself. Highly recommend this experience!!

We he had such a good time creating our beautiful Lava Fish. Lou was so fun and gave us a much control that was with in the safe zone. Would recommend this as a great couple activity.

I was a little intimidated by glass blowing but Paul made it so relaxed and easy! He was an amazing instructor and kept my fiance and I engaged and involved throughout the whole lesson, letting us each try every part of the process. Easily one of the most memorable experiences of our Hawaii trip!!

Glassblowing has been on my bucket list and what better place to do it than in Maui. We made a fish and a starfish that both turned out beautiful. I can't think of a better souvenir to bring home. Every time I look at those pieces it will remind me of our awesome vacation. There is also a beautiful Art Gallery if you would just like to purchase pieces. They even have glass pieces for the home including lights and sinks! I highly recommend this.

We collect art glass as a hobby and we thought we knew how difficult it is to make...well we didn't know just how difficult and how many steps there are in making art glass. We had a great time and it made us appreciate the talented artists that use this medium. One of the best excursions we had on Maui !

We are excited to receive our fish that we made via shipping. BE AWARE only book this if you are going to be on maui for 2-3 days after AND they will be open. We had to pay $85 to ship our fish back home because it was MLK and they would be closed so honestly that was a bit of a bait and switch. Our instructor was so charismatic and helped us create a beautiful fish. Which BTW we had to pay $150 for the upgrade. We were living in the moment and went forth. EXPENSIVE overall, but hopefully we will get the fish in one piece and will have an unforgettable keepsake until we are old and grey.
