From start to finish, our excursion with Peg and Heidi was absolutely incredible. Peg called us the night before to confirm our reservation and walked us through every detail we needed to arrive on time and without any stress. When we showed up to the meeting point, she greeted us with the warmest smile and even gave us a quick paddleboarding lesson on dry land before we headed out. We’re a family of five with three young kids, and only a couple of us had ever tried paddleboarding. Peg and Heidi made us feel completely safe and confident from the moment we stepped into the water. Their patience, kindness, and friendly personalities made the whole experience even better. Once out on the ocean, they taught us so much—not just about paddleboarding, but also about Maui’s history, culture, and marine life. We even got to snorkel, saw several turtles, and were lucky enough to spot a seal! It was truly unforgettable. We would definitely do this excursion again, and we’ve already recommended Peg and Heidi to friends visiting the island at the same time. This was such an incredible experience! It was my first time on a paddleboard, and I was honestly nervous even to try—but Peg was amazing. She coached me through every step and had me standing before I knew it! The setting was beautiful, and after paddle boarding we went snorkeling and saw so many fish—and even had a turtle swim right underneath us. To top it all off, Peg ended the tour with a surprise “Party on the Ocean,” which was absolutely delightful! An unforgettable morning on the water in Maui and a wonderful confidence boost for someone who’s usually a little scared of the ocean. Highly recommend!

We have done the turtle town paddle many times… Britney, the greatest instructor ever, is always wonderful and keeps us safe. She works with us and always ensures we see all the great wildlife. Make sure you hit the food trucks afterward!

I honestly cannot say enough about Paddle On! My bestie and I were celebrating our 50th birthdays with a girls' trip so wanted to try something new! Peg, the owner, was a stellar teacher for the two of us, who are, admittedly, not the most graceful and coordinated gals! She started with a lesson on the beach and then we paddled into the crystal clear Pacific. We both stood up on the first try with Peg's instruction, patience, and encouragement!!! It's harder than it looks, and we ended up in the water more than once but got back up every single time. It didn't matter that we fell off, the water was PERFECT! Midway through, we rafted up and Peg had the most lovely and thoughtful birthday toast on the water. After, we snorkeled for a bit. We saw countless fish, several turtles and even a ray!!! She took amazing pictures throughout which was incredible considering we were first-timers and a bit unsteady. After paddling back to the beach, Peg told us about the area. She sent us a carefully cultivated list of places to eat, drink, and celebrate. We took her advice and we were not disappointed. She knows her stuff!!!! I honestly feel like I've made a friend on Maui and I cannot wait to come back and Paddle On! with Peg again!

Wow! We booked a little last minute (the week of) and it absolutely worth it. Peg called the night before like she said she would and confirmed all details, and made a suggestion that we go a little earlier because the weather had been better then. And THEN she sent her own picks for local food and souvenirs! It was an absolutely perfect morning on the water. Chris, the guide, was fantastic and everyone was up and paddling about quickly. He had so much patience for the slightly anxious person too. Then came the snorkeling. My kids were in LOVE. Chris pointed out some amazing creatures, turtles, sea urchins, octopi, it was great! It's 2 weeks later and my kids STILL rave about their experience here. Mahalo nui loa!

Awesome tour. Perfect for beginner. Free and easy parking. Tristen is very patient and guided me step by step. I was able to stand up on the paddle board the first time! I also saw a sea turtle popped its head out to breathe in the air. So cute!

We had the most amazing experience with John and Emilly. It was my first time Paddle boarding and they made me feel so comfortable. We had hump back whales come close to our paddle board and it was once in a lifetime experience to see them up so close to us. John took some amazing videos of us and the whales for our memories. We also saw Hawaiian Monk Seal and Turtles while Paddle Boarding. Overall amazing experience and definitely recommend them 100%

Peg was great, she taught us how to paddle board with a lot of patience and very accommodating with the snorkeling part. She brought us over to two reefs and taught us about the surrounding islands. We had a great time.

We booked this tour on the recommendation from a friend who had also taken the same tour when visiting Maui. Peg did a great job communicating with us about the tour. She checked the weather and contacted us a few days in advance as there was a storm and the weather on the day we had booked the tour may have made it impossible to paddleboard on the date we booked. As we were on vacation we weren't checking the weather but Peg was on top of everything. We weren't able to reschedule but she continued to communicate with us until the morning of the tour. Once we got there Pam did a great job with safely getting my husband and I on the water and safely guiding us on the paddleboards. They really care that you have a good experience. She took a lot of great photos of us which we purchased for a nominal fee and she emailed them to us after the tour. They are a great memory of a fun outdoor adventure in Maui.

A perfect outing. Chris was a great instructor and very flexible with us. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable on the boards and with the snorkel equipment. He shared fun info about the wildlife and Hawaiian culture. The weather happened to be amazing and we saw sea turtles, sea urchins, an octopus, and many fish. The trip exceeded my expectations.

Highlight of our Maui vacay! Since we had 2 kids with us (5 and 7 years) they provided 2 guides for our private session. We felt fully safe and taken care of, while my husband and I could really enjoy the paddle board and snorkeling. Our guides Peg (the owner) and Chris really allowed us to relax and soak in the moments. When my 5 year old got cranky, they made sure he got happy again (luckily had some snacks on the paddlebaord for him!) We were able to get some “National Geographic”-like shots with an octopus, starfish, and urchin, which btw the photo package is a MUST. The photo package also allows you to just enjoy, and let them be the ones to focus on the pics (which they also were amazing at). Just super impressed and happy with our experience and would def recommend them to our friends! Thanks so much Peg and Chris!

Peg and guide Chris are wonderful. Peg cares that her clients have a good experience, and sends some fun ideas of places to go and eat on Maui. We had guide Chris. Chris enthusiastically shares information of Maui's flora and fauna. He patiently took care of us when we were in challenging situations, stuck with us. Highly recommend the people you will be with!

This is a unique review since we did not get to experience the excursion due to Mother Nature not cooperating with us.- which we fully respect and honor. Everyone should be mindful that things like this will happen and it may be disappointing, however, when the organizer is really great about checking in and communicating it makes the experience less disappointing! Peg was so o. Top of her communication and flexibility offering g various options with alternated dates etc. She was also so gracious about texting a wonderful list of her local favorites and things to do in Maui. We actually hit three of her recommendations. Best tips were how to get in places without reservations! We both did our best to be flexible but unfortunately it did not happen this trip but I can guarantee that we will book with Peg next time around! I highly recommend to all my friends and family as well. I’m pretty sure the private lessons would’ve been quite an experience based on the attention Peg showed us. Mahalo!

We had booked Paddle On! Maui in celebration of our Honeymoon to make for a memorable trip, and boy did they deliver. From the moment we arrived in Maui, Peg was in touch with us via phone call to confirm our excursion. She was not only interested in our story and excited for our experience, but truly cared to text us her recommendations for local favorite things to do in Maui such as Happy Hour, Restaurants with live bands and more! We were provided with thorough directions to meet with our Paddle Board Instructor and Guide, Lowe, who was warm and so easy to talk to from our first interaction. **My husband and I are athletic but not the most experienced paddle boarders and Lowe gave us great instructions on how to navigate the paddle board and offered us a life vest if needed to make us feel comfortable. We were feeling brave and felt very safe to snorkel while attached to our paddle boards with the ankle cord, and that says a lot coming from me, (someone that prefers to sun bathe on the beach over swimming)! The paddle boarding ended up being a great workout and allowed us to get to the multiple spots more efficiently than had we swam. Lowe showed us around the cove the start, and made great conversation to get to know us while also teaching us a lot about the history of the island and its marine life on our way. Once arriving in our first spot, we all got our goggles and snorkels on and began exploring the reef. We were greeted by sea turtle friends not too long after getting into the water. It was so beautiful to swim with the turtles while keeping a safe distance, and we also saw a lot of cool fish and reef life in this spot. Once we spent a bit of time with the turtles, Lowe asked our comfort level, and if we were okay with exploring deeper water! Although hesitant at first…we are thrilled that we trusted her and chose to proceed to the next spot. While paddling out to the deeper water, we were greeted by a pod of wild dolphins – about 30-40 of them! Right away we knew this was something special, and later learned it is a rare occurrence for wild dolphins to get close to people. They playfully "came to us", swimming underneath our boards and around us for what felt like 15-20 minutes. We made sure to stay on our boards to not disrupt the pod, but were able to stick our heads in from the edge of our boards and see them swimming underneath the waves. This was the most amazing moment of our day, and we felt truly special the dolphins chose us. We have heard since sharing our story from multiple people throughout the island that this only happens a handful of times and that it’s good luck. We are so grateful to share in such a special moment with the ocean during our first trip to Maui. The best part of this experience beyond the interaction with wildlife in their natural habitat, is that Lowe has a great underwater camera and took epic photos of my husband and I the entire time! She edited the photos and had them to us just 2 days later. For a nominal fee, having these photos is absolutely priceless. This add on allowed us to truly be in the moment and enjoy our experience together. Overall, this is our favorite thing we did in Maui! Thank you Lowe and Peg for truly giving us memories that will last a lifetime, and we can't wait to return.

My husband and seven year old had a great time with Peg for our SUP lesson and snorkel in turtle town. Peg was wonderful and so proactive with helpful communication prior to the trip. Her recommendations for places to go in Maui were super helpful. She was great with my daughter and had her on her SUP for the trip. The pictures that she took were a much appreciated souvenir from our adventure. She even let me and my daughter use her underwater camera to take pictures of turtles! Highly recommended for a private tour. Ask for Peg! Everyone on staff was great too.

The paddle and turtle town snorkel with Paddle On! was a major highlight of our two weeks in Maui. Peg and her crew tailored their paddling instructions perfectly to ensure our family of five (ages 10-60 at all different levels of experience) had a blast — and we saw more turtles on our snorkel than on the rest of our trip combined! Stunning location. 100% recommend.

My family had a wonderful time with Brittany. She was very calm, personable, and professional. She was able to say all the right things to get my 4yo to enjoy his time on the SUP. Her instructions on SUP were easy to follow and my husband and I picked it up relatively easily. Brittany also took photos for our family, and the turnaround as well as quality were excellent! Thank you for a wonderful tour! We hope to visit again soon.

I’m glad this ended up being the last thing we did on the island because nothing could have possibly topped this experience. Peg called to confirm and gave great directions to the meeting spot. She also texted me a long list of favorite places to eat and things to do. Brittany was our guide, and she gave great instructions, knew all the best spots, and even guided me through a few yoga poses on the board! We saw SO MANY turtles!! We’d seen a couple at Black Rock, as well as tons of fish, but the coral on this part of the island was new to us and beautiful. I can’t wait to get the pictures she took. The pictures are an extra $50. Completely worth it, I think, since you can’t really take them yourself while paddling, and I’ll have rare pictures of me and my daughter together, but good to know for budgeting purposes. (It’s probably in the description; I don’t remember.) I feel confident going out on an SUP myself next time, but I’d still book this same tour because it was such a wonderful experience. Just book it!!

We had such a great morning paddle boarding and snorkeling. Cole was a terrific guide. He knew so much about the fish and creatures we were seeing. He was always close by without hovering and made sure everyone in our group was having fun.

What a great way to get on the water! From booking the tour, scheduling and rescheduling due to trip changes this operation was spot on! Brittany and Cole met us in the morning and Cole was our trip guide. He was amazing and we had so much fun! Our faves: * The fact that it was just the two of us with Cole, you will look around and see many large groups. This trip was personalized and personal! * Cole knows the reef and the area...and loves it! It shows! * Photos were great! This is the best way to snorkel and see turtles at Makena landing. Our family did a tour with Cole. We have a 9 year old and 4 year old. Cole was fantastic and so good with our kids. I was worried because my son isn’t a strong swimmer and Cole was with him the entire time and helped our daughter every step of the way. He is very skilled and knows what he is doing. He also has a ton of knowledge on sea life. I felt safe and never worried about my kiddos the entire time. I’m so glad we didn’t book a boat tour since all the turtles left once the boat came. On the paddle board the turtles will come right up to you! Cole has a camera and will take pictures to capture the moment, which is so nice. Paddle boarding was way more fun and we got much closer to the turtles. If you have young kids just make sure to call Peg in advance so you can ensure they have the right size snorkel and life vests for your kiddos (if you want them to wear one). She was extremely helpful. If you have any questions Peg can answer them. Highly highly recommend doing this even if you have never been on a board. I promise you won’t regret it! Ask for Cole. He was the best !

My sisters and I were first timers. Not being a strong swimmer, I wasn’t sure if this activity was suitable for me. I called Peg ahead of time and asked some questions.She was patient and friendly, and assured me that we would be safe, comfortable and having tons of fun. Boy, was she right! We booked the lesson for the second day of our trip. Peg provided detailed information on how to get to the meeting place at Makena Landing. And then we were greeted by Cole who was our guide and a super cool guy. He showed us some basic paddleboarding techniques on the shore, and then sent us out on the water one by one. At first, we were all a little nervous about getting on open water, but pretty soon we started standing up and paddling and enjoying the view. Sure we fell into the water a few times, but it was all part of the fun! We saw turtles and sea urchins. Cole shared some interesting facts about Maui with us. Overall we had a great time! Although there was a little mix-up on the snorkeling part, Peg and Cole handled it quickly and professionally. Even for the rest of our trip, Peg checked in with us a few times to see if we could fit in our schedule a makeup snorkeling session. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness. And the pictures Cole took were just amazing! We got them on the last day of our trip and it was just the perfect ending for our Christmas vacation. Thank you, Peg and Cole! We will definitely be back to the beautiful island and take more tours with you guys.

Had a blast and saw some turtles!! The paddle-board and snorkeling together made it lots of fun and easy, especially for anyone who is uncomfortable in the water. Peg and Sarah were informative and extremely patient with helping those who needed it! We were a group of 4 so with 2 instructors one could teach while the other stayed with the rest. Great experience - a “must do” for everyone!

Chris was an excellent instructor and very knowlegable! We had so much fun and did some snorkeling near the reef. He took so many amazing pictures of us! We did a sunrise SUP tour with a bit of bonus snorkeling with Amanda. We loved Amanda! She had truly the perfect energy for a guide. What a calm, beautiful excursion, and overall great experience. I am determined to SUP with the whales, so I’ll be back to Maui during whale season as soon as I can make it and will ask for Amanda specifically as my guide. Everything was perfect.

My friend and I were treated to one of the best guided experiences I've ever been on a few weeks ago. Brittany took us out SUP, snorkeling, and turtle viewing. At one point two sweet female tortoise came so close to my friend and I. It was precious, here we were too women being gently surrounded by two calm creatures of the sea. We kept our distance as everyone should do; yet, they came within inches of us. A memory I will have forever. Brittany was an excellent instructor. My friend wasn't too excited about being up on a SUP and Brittany helped her to build her confidence and calmly walked her through a perfect SUP experience. No one fell in...even though it would have been fine to fall in. Thanks Brittany and the crew at Paddle On. I'll be back!

My husband and I went on the SUP Turtle Town Snorkel and had Brittany as our guide and had a blast! I was nervous since I’m not very athletic but Brittany was so patient and helpful and I was able to get up after a couple of tries. My husband had no problem. It was so peaceful and beautiful on the water the morning we went - a perfect time to learn! Brittany gave us tips and made us feel so encouraged and relaxed. The snorkeling was great - we found a large turtle getting “cleaned” by the fish around him and were able to get lots of pictures with him when he came up for air! The fresh fruit was great, too! Overall, this was a great experience that I’m so glad we decided to have! Highly recommend! Thank you, Brittany, for a great morning and great pics!!

I booked the SUP Turtle Town Snorkel tour for myself, my teenage niece & nephew and 5-year-old son while we were in Maui. We were all a bit nervous as this was the first time we've ever tried paddle boarding. By the end we did not want to leave! Brittany was our main guide - she was passionate, experienced, and an excellent instructor! Luna was great as well and came as a second guide to take my son out on her paddle board so that I could focus on getting comfortable and enjoying the experience. We saw over 20 sea turtles up close on our paddle boards as well as while we were snorkeling. It was such an amazing experience and I can't wait to do it again! I love that each tour is private so they can tailor it to your group's experience ...that made it extra special! If you're a beginner, I would recommend the 7am tour as the water is most calm at that time. If you are prone to motion sickness (like me), get some sea bands before you go and wear them ... I didn't get sick at all but probably would have had I forgotten them! And leave your camera at home... focus on the experience, spend the extra $50 for them to take photos and you will be blown away by how gorgeous they turn out!

Paddle Boarding and Snorkelling amongst the Turtles was one of the highlights of our Hawaii Trip! Peg and Brittany, our guides were absolutely lovely and made the trip so much fun! Although we were with children and not very experienced Paddle Boarders, we felt completely safe and in great hands. Seeing the Turtles and being so close to them was an amazing experience, one we will treasure forever. We will definitely do it again again next time we are in Maui. Highly Recommend!!!

Absolutely the highlight of our trip to Maui. We did an early morning SUP & Snorkeling in Turtle Town and we had the most amazing time. 10/10 recommend purchasing the pictures as well, they came out so great and will be wonderful to look back on far into the future. Peg made sure we felt so safe the entire time, giving us a very helpful & informative "training" prior to actually getting on the paddle boards, and stuck with us the whole time! Make sure this is on your to do list for your Maui trip, no matter how long you're in town!!

We were beginners, never been on a board before. Peg was our instructor and did a great job helping us, showing us the basics, and having much patience. We went on the second session, and the water was a little rough, but we were able to manage with Peg's help. She was concerned about our safety and we had to skip the snorkeling, but was kind enough to discount our cost. She also provided us with information about the area. Really friendly and accommodating.

This was the BEST excusion we did in Hawaii. Coming from Wisconsin we paddle board in lakes but this was the ultimate experince to do in the ocean. Peg, Scott and Sara were the BEST tour guides. Brittany took my husband, my 11 year old son and I out for a 7:15am tour and it’s an experience we will never forget! She was wonderful!!! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and patient. She pointed out the turtles as we snorkeled and was a great guide and help as we paddled! Right away we were greeted by a giant sea turtle! We lost count of the many turtles we swam with. Brittany made sure to take advantage of every photo opportunity, you’ll want to remember this so I highly recommend getting the photo package! Peg was incredibly helpful the day before our tour, recommending a time with calmer water and turning our brief confirmation call into a personal guide around the island. She has so many island todo’s and today after the tour so did Brittany! We couldn’t have been happier with our time today with Paddle On! Maui! Highest recommendations you do this on your stay!

I had a great experience doing the PaddleOn! SUP and Snorkel excursion with Peg on Earth Day. I saw and swam with SO MANY sea turtles and learned a lot about SUP techniques, snorkeling, and Maui. This was probably the highlight of my recent trip to Maui :-)

We are in Maui for such a short time this trip; spending a couple of hours with Peg, learning how to SUP and snorkel among the turtles this morning was chock-filled with fun and memories -- so was totally worth it. Peg was a great teacher, super patient with both me and my 12 year old son, and just a lot of fun to head out into the waters with. Thanks for a fantastic experience! My son is enthused to repeat asap :).

Paddle On! Maui was a great experience from start to finish. Any initial anxiety is quickly diminished by knowledgeable instruction, helpful personalized hints and easy conversation. Brittany was a very engaging guide with an ease in her manner and a eye for small details that could make almost anyone a quick study. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed day of paddling, snorkeling, sea turtles and fun photo ops. We will definitely be back. Also, the photo option was more than worthwhile. You simply will not get better, more reasonably priced photos of you in action in and on the water.

We booked this as an excursion on a recent yoga retreat in Maui. It was one of the best experiences of the trip! Peg and her crew were excellent instructors for the beginners who had never done SUP before. We attempted some yoga on the boards, with their encouragement, which was incredibly challenging. They brought camera's and captured some great pics for us. It is really nice to have these memories and we didn't have to worry about carrying phones or dropping our own cameras at all. We saw a nice variety of fish while snorkeling and seeing the lava tubes under water was really interesting. We didn't have much luck with the sea turtles but it could have been the day or time of year? We did see a few on the beach near where we entered the water, though. That was pretty cool! Peg was extremely helpful with giving information about Turtle town. The location isn't far to paddle to the lava tubes (not able to be reached by land). You take off from a small beach by Makena beach. She also provided details also about her fellow neighboring businesses for kayaking. They are very careful with kids to make sure they are safe and the swells are calm enough before sending people out. Get there at 6:30 or 7 to make sure you get in the water before the tides pick up.

If you do anything on Maui, THIS is the activity to do. Peg and Brittany are amazing guides and the private tours are perfect! The day my fiance and I had scheduled got messed up due to rough surf (they really know their stuff about the surf conditions and are cautious about your safety), but the ladies quickly rescheduled us within our trip, and it was worth it. We got to talk about the history and culture of Hawaii as we paddled in the gorgeous ocean. Brittany took us to a few spots so we could snorkel and check out the wildlife. We were very thankful the water conditions were so perfect for this. Check these ladies out and make sure to ask about their photo package too!

Though a bit on the pricey side, SUP Turtle Town Snorkel was definitely worth it. Brittany was instantly welcoming and took excellent care of us the entire time. This was our first time paddle boarding, and Brittany was encouraging and super friendly. She was also very knowledgeable about the reef, wildlife and Hawaiian history. We opted for the photo add-on, and were so impressed with Brittany's commitment to snapping great shots with the right lighting. We had a blast and highly recommend!

My family had an amazing morning learning to paddle board and snorkeling. Bethany and Bridget were knowledgeable, professional and patient with all of us- aged 7-44. I could tell they are passionate about their job and also very proud and protective of the beautiful land and waters they call home. I highly recommend this business!!

Our family (2 teens and 2 adults) highly recommend the paddle boarding/snorkeling tour! We wanted to do both on our vacation but did not want to spend half the day on a boat for a snorkeling tour. Having only paddle boarded once many years ago in a lagoon, I was hesitant about paddle boarding in the ocean but Brittany and Bridgette did an excellent job teaching us to paddle board and putting me at ease. We saw several turtles and many fish when we snorkled. I'm glad we purchased the photo package as there are lots of cool photos that capture us snorkeling under water and paddle boarding. Definitely worth the extra $ for the photo package.

Brittany is a great instructor she is clear and concise and if you follow her directions you will catch on quickly. Peg the owner gives clear directions as to where to meet because there is a lot of activity at Makena landing. We paddled, had picnic in the water, saw turtles along the way and snorkeled. What a great way to spend a morning?

Our whole family loved trying stand up paddle boarding! We had an amazing team of guides to teach us how to stand up and how to paddle, and they led us to a beautiful area where we could enjoy the scenery, see some turtles, snorkel, and enjoy some fresh fruit (such a nice touch!). I will certainly take this tour again the next time I am able to visit Maui - it was truly incredible.
