Absolute best way to experience the island. Our pilot, Stefan, was knowledgeable and entertaining; we particularly liked the appropriately themed music throughout our flight. “Doors off” flight was so worth it and Stefan made sure we were comfortable the whole flight. I’ve been on other helicopter tours of the island, and this one was better. Highly recommended!

Amazing!!! Stefan was a great pilot. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Do wear long pants and a jacket if sitting in the back of the helicopter if going doors off. It did get quite chilly up there. It was awesome to see all the places we visited during the week from up above. A must do!! Well worth the $!

Wear a wind breaker. Make sure volume is up so you can hear pilot’s narration. Why do I need to keep adding?

Jim was an exceptional tour guide. He was funny and charming and worked really hard to make us feel at ease. Everything about the flight was excellent from the instructions to landing were very clear and easy to follow. But our favorite part was Jim and the Hidden Falls. Might need to learn to fly a helicopter and move to Honolulu now.

The pilot was great. Thank you Stefan! It was so cool to see all the sights that we saw on land from the air. Also-Take an Uber to the meeting point if you find have a car.

For my first time in a helicopter it was wonderful for both me and my friend. Our pilot was exceptional.

Best part of our one week long vacation. Smooth ride, lots to see, absolutely spectacular views. Got to see lots of turtles, a whale and lots of surfers. We recommend going with the doors off!

We did the 60 minute tour with the doors off.  This was the first time experiencing that, and it was fabulous!  Stephan did a great job showing us the sights and was an excellent pilot throughout.  Doors off is definitely the way to go, if you are on the fence.  It wasn't as windy inside as I was expecting.  My wife and I both felt safe the entire flight.  Plus, you get nice, clear pictures.  There is even a heater onboard, which was helpful when it got chillier (evening time through the mountains). Also, before booking, I compared tours.  These guys have a 100% safety rating, which is why we decided to go with them.  Not all helicopter tour companies can say that.  We highly recommend them.  The tour, especially with the doors off, is fun and a great way to see Ohau from a different perspective.

Tip: The meeting point is at the end of the Lagoon road. There is a car park and a gate. You need to be able to text the helicopter company and you need photo ID. You can’t take anything on the helicopter, so don’t bring anything you will not need. They provide lanyard for your phone and sunglasses if you need them. The helicopter is open so it can be windy, but we went with just our tee shirts and it was fine. Alex (our pilot) made the journey really enjoyable, great flying and expert commentary. I 100% recommend this tour.

First time experience open door helicopter tour, it makes the memories go beyond. How to put your best level to enjoy the sunset and wind blow in your hair.! I am thrilled to do this and you should get the experience when you are in Oahu. I did 60mins at 4:30 pm time frame. This tour wouldn’t happen without Pilot Alex! Thanks to him, the tour is smooth and enjoyable. Plus he played my favorite songs the whole time!!!

We loved our pilot Stefan. He was knowledgeable about the island and was a very experienced pilot. He even made us aware of the island air currents that could give us a little turbulence prior to entering that area. I would highly recommend this trip especially with the doors off. This was a once in a lifetime experience! I’ve done a helicopter tour in Hawaii before but this is an EXPERIENCE and so much fun!!!! Our pilot was super friendly and accommodating. I had sprained my ankle the day before and still wanted to ride, so he made sure I was supported and assisted me along the way! The drive to the airstrip is near the Honolulu airport and you’ll end at a parking lot where you will be picked up via golf buggy (which already felt bougie/fun). Then your taken to the hanger where you’ll be briefed on the safety protocols and given snacks and drinks! This is more intimate than the more commercial helicopter rides you can book and I 100% believe this is worth the price! If you splurge on one thing DO THIS! You will have the most amazing experience and plenty of pictures and photos to show off!!

We had Stefan as our pilot. He was great - very friendly and informative. We felt very safe with him, the flight was mainly stable but he did checkin with us if anything was expected. The tour was well worth doing and would recommend this as a priority above other things. It really showcased the beauty of the island.

If you get the opportunity to try this we highly recommend. You get to see the beautiful island from a different perspective which was absolutely incredible. Stefan our pilot was great, had a lot of knowledge regarding the island and truly made our experience perfect. We even had the doors off which added to the excitement.

Pilot Jim provided a safe, fun, exciting, and informative trip from start to finish. Jim's knowledge of the geography and points of interest, mixed with his humor and quick wit made for a memorable experience. We appreciated that we were told in advance of temperature changes and slight "bumps" along the way. The 60 minute tour is highly recommended!

Stefan was an awesome pilot and tour guide! We had a private 60 minute tour for just my wife and me. With a private tour we both had a window seat. I found that their private tours to be the same price as other helicopter guides’ non-private tours. My wife tends to get motion sickness and is afraid of heights but did fine with absolutely no problems. I also recommend the 60 minute tour that takes you around all of Oahu - it is definitely worth the price for the experience and amazing pictures. My guess is that if you take a shorter flight to save a few bucks that when you’re heading back you’ll wish that you would have gone for the 60 minute tour.

I write this review as my friend and had an amazing positive and exciting time with the helicopter tour with Pilot Jim. 😁. Before we left he sat us down and went over all the important info necessary to be safe and prepared. Stored our purses, gave us hair ties, and I was very nervous but he explained that he taught others how to fly and had tremendous experience. He was very funny, comforting and the best sense of humour. Went there nervous, was reassured successfully, enjoyed every moment and left their feeling that we got our moneys worth and beyond. The entire tour included detailed info about what we saw. He answered all my many questions and highly recommend it to anyone considering a daring sky view tour of Hawaii. I can honestly say if all the activities I experienced on entire trip, this one was at the top of the list with the beautiful time at beach following second. Recommend to all of you. We had booked a one hour private flight around the island. Our pilot Jim was a very nice guy and a very experienced pilot. He explained a lot about the different regions of the island and especially for me a lot of details about the helicopter. We enjoyed our flight very much and really can recommend it to anyone who wants to see this terrific island and it’s coast from above. Michelle did a great job as a pilot. She was very informative and very nice .The waterfalls and canyons are so beautiful. Even saw a whale. We had a great flight ! Highly recommended going and having fun.

Our pilot was outstanding (Stephan), giving us lots of history and making sure we saw all the sites that we could possibly see. The flight was a full hour, and a pleasant experience! We truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the historical sites. Take the recommended advice and bring a light jacket, some parts of the island are colder! We got absolutely gorgeous photos, saw a waterfall, USS Arizona from the aerial view, and ocean-life. Phenomenal experience, highly recommended!

We booked our trip to Oahu almost a year ago and doing a tour in a helicopter was a must do for us and our trip did not disappoint. Everything from the reservation, the communication to the final landing was excellent. We choose the “doors off” option. It was fantastic! Our pilot Stefan was very experienced and made us feel very comfortable and safe. He made sure that we were ok a few times during the duration of the flight. He was informative and also quite funny when pointing out highlights during our flight. Loved the music playlist! We would very highly recommend booking with Stefan and Honolulu Helicopters for any of their helicopter tour options. We will definitely be doing another one with them on our next trip!

Holy damn! My helicopter 🚁 ride-tour with Stefan was great! He’s a great pilot and he was very knowledgeable with the Island of Honolulu my girlfriend and i was very pleased and impressed by everything we saw. And with the things that Stefan showed us. We are definitely coming back for another tour and also take a flight lesson with Stefan

Me and brother took this helicopter ride today, it was amazing ! Stefan the pilot was very nice. He makes great conversation and plays wonderful music. My brother is a little scared of heights , but was surprised at how smooth everything went. It was a life changing experience ! I highly recommend.

Our ride was amazing! Being able to see so many views in an hour, was so worth it. Our favorite view was seeing the waterfall in the sacred area!

I have to say customer service was excellent from beginning to end. Ryan picked us up at the gate. He was super chill and told us everything we needed to know before the tour. It was just my mom and myself on this tour. Neither of us had ever been on a helicopter before. Stefan our pilot was professional and very kind. He made us feel safe and made sure we had a great time. Can’t wait to come back and take more family and friends on this tour!

Our 60min tour was amazing. Our pilot was great explained safety and made me feel comfortable. He checked in with my 9 year old who was up front with him to make sure she was doing alright through out the flight He was very knowledgeable about the island history, landmarks and fun facts. It was the best ending to our week stay.
