Good day out. Very sombre and enlightening tour. Driver was a bit out there. Afternoon was a good time to go as the crowds were a bit thinner

The Arizona Memorial is the most visited attraction in the State of Hawaii. This memorial is built over the wreck of the battleship USS Arizona. It stands as a memorial to everyone who died in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This attack pulled the United States into WWII. The memorial is also a memorial to the 1,177 sailors and marines who died aboard the USS Arizona when a Japanese bomb detonated her ammunition magazine. Representing almost half of the 2,403 US military personnel who died in the attack. The Arizona Memorial spans the wreck of the battleship but does not touch it. The Arizona Memorial is only accessible by US Navy-operated shuttle boat. View the 23-minute documentary on the Pearl Harbor Attack. Take the US Navy operated shuttle boat to the Arizona Memorial. See the Memorial wall and the USS Arizona's "black tears." 90 minutes, Admission included
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is a federal cemetery built in the caldera of an extinct volcano. Known by the locals as Punchbowl Cemetery, the site is the final resting place of American soldiers and veterans of wars ranging from WWI to today. The centerpiece of this cemetery is the memorial to those veterans of wars involving America who are missing in action or were buried at sea. The central figure of this memorial is the statue of Lady Columbia. Below the sculpture is an excerpt from Abraham Lincoln's letter to Mrs. Bixby. Many of those who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor are buried in this cemetery, including many whose remains are unidentified.
State Capitol Building ( Pass By ) The Hawaii State Capitol Building was purpose-built to be the seat of power for the State of Hawaii. The State Capitol is a Bauhaus-inspired design with a lot of symbolism built into it. For example, the pillars represent the trunks of Royal Palms which are a Hawaiian symbol of governance. Each pillar represents a Hawaiian Island. The reflection pool represents the ocean that encircles Hawaii. The Capitol Building also houses a statue of Hawaii's Saint Damien.
Iolani Palace ( Pass By ) Commissioned by King David Kalakaua, Iolani palace is the only Royal Palace on American soil. Built in 1879, the palace served as the seat of power for the Kingdom of Hawaii until the overthrow of its last Queen in 1893. The palace then served as the Capitol Building for the Republic of Hawaii, the Territory of Hawaii, and the State of Hawaii until 1969. The palace was opened as a museum in 1978. Restoration work has taken place in the palace to restore it to its glory days as a Royal Palace.
Washington Place ( Pass By ) Was once the home of Hawaii's last monarch Queen Liliuokalani. The home was built in 1847 in the Greek Revival style, similar to many homes in the antebellum South. Washington Place was built by the Dominis family. John Dominis was the husband of Queen Liliuokalani. Upon his death, ownership of the residence passed to her. After the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy, Liliuolkalani lived the rest of her days in this house. After her death, it became the residence of Hawaii's Governors.
Statue of King Kamehameha In front of Aliiolani Hale, the home of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii is the golden statue of King Kamehameha the Great. Kamehameha the Great was the man who united the Islands of Hawaii under his rule, becoming Hawaii's first King and the founder of the Kingdom of Hawaii.
We will return you to the same location where you were picked up.

Was a very memorable experience visiting the resting place of so many young men who gave to ultimate sacrifice
When we signed up for this excursion, it appeared that we were to visit the USS Missouri along with the USS Arizona. However, the driver never mentioned going there. We visited the USS Arizona and waited for another hour and a half until he came back to pick us up. Not much seating or shade around there as well. There was no restaurant around to have a decent lunch. Very disappointing.
It was just OK. It’s good to visit this site due to its history, but, I was disappointed. It needs an upgrade, very tired & tatty considering the visitors & cost to visit and was such an important part of WW11.
No transportation included. You need to go to the visitors center and their take the free shuttle to Ford Island. The free shuttle also goes to the aviation museum which looked very good. If I went back I would go to Ford island just to see that museum with the lookout tower added on. The Missouri is very interesting. A lot to see. Guided tour recommended. Would like to see a tour with hotel pickup and both Missouri and Aviation museum included
We loved this visit. Great place to visit, experience the history and pay homage to fallen soldiers!
Very moving. Everyone who comes to Hawaii should visit
The guide kinda sucked, he came off rude and blunt definitely not what you want from a tour guide. He didn’t explain to any of us that we had to pay for the experiences that they provide in the pearl harbour. Don't know what we paid over $60 AUD for (which is the discounted price)? To enter the pearl harbour is free as well as the boat ride to the memorial, so we only payed for transportation and a little bit of information about Honolulu. You’re better off just getting a uber and saving your money to pay for the other experiences in the pearl harbour. Some answers to the questions we asked he rudely replied saying he doesn’t know what we are talking about. I left this tour not happy and I wish I never went on it. Don’t waste your time.
Our tour man was absolutely the worst tour director we have had. He kept mumbling while talking and a man behind me asked him to talk louder as they couldn't hear anything and he did not. There was a car of 14 people and not one person thought this man was worth the trip. Took a Waikiki trolley and had 3 different men who were absolutely amazing.
We visited Pearl Harbour Arizona Memorial from Waikiki. Pickup was seamless. The tour of Honolulu was an excellent finish.
The actual visit to Pearl Harbor was good. The museum and film show were excellent. Without meaning to be disrespectful the viewing of the Arizona memorial wasn’t quite what we expected and we could have given that a miss to be honest. The disaster was the ride back to the hotel and the historic tour. Everyone was tired and had plans for the evening and were expecting the “tour” to be pointing things out as we sped by on the freeway. So when the driver turned off the freeway we were a bit confused and assumed that he knew a local route to avoid the traffic. So our hearts sank when he took us up the top of a hill to some memorial and we could see that we were miles away from the hotel. At the point people started to get frustrated and one guy made it very clear to the driver that he wanted to get back to the hotel pronto and everyone else was in agreement. However the driver continued with tour until people started complaining that they were having to cancel their dinner reservations. After that the driver did seem to speed up and get us back. I felt bad for him as he was only doing his job but nobody was in the mood for a long tour of Honolulu after a day at Pearl Harbor. I guess it’s our fault for not checking the details more thoroughly but I don’t recommend this particular trip if you just want to go to Pearl Harbor and get back to the Hotel.
It wasn’t about the tour itself, it is the company! People had 7:30am pickup time and tour van didn’t show up until 10:00am. The driver continued to tell us the same stories over and over. He stated he didn’t know about the 7:30am pickup! Communication is KEY. We get to our tour itself and driver continues to tell us what to do. He was wasting our precious time! We paid for a nice comfortable ride. Haha. We were packed into the van like sardines. Driver shut off the van, it took a good 20 minutes to cool down the entire van. Over booking and over packing people, is NOT cool!
Our guide was very friendly. He did a great job.
Operator decided to change timing of tour to 1 and half hour earlier in the last min . We never made it to a tour and it has completely ruined our plans .
Nice experience! Snacks were a nice touch. Knowledgeable driver but he lacked personality.
Our guide was punctual, professional and informative. We enjoyed the whole experience. We would recommend
Good way to visit Pearl Harbor. Timing just right. Clear, easy directions. Clemente Citron was a great guide - personable, informative, funny with a great laugh. Nice that he could share some Hawaiian heritage and words with us.
Very moving experience , glad I finally got there to see for myself. Good museum.Driver was on time and had info along the way.
I could have traveled on my own and got the same outcome as the tour provided
Our visit to Pearl Harbor was truly unforgettable. Our guides, Klem and Roland, were exceptional and made the experience even more meaningful. Not only did we visit Pearl Harbor, which stands as a powerful tribute in itself, but we also toured Honolulu and Waikiki, learning so much about the history and culture of the island along the way. This is a must-see experience for anyone visiting Oahu. The stories, history, and significance of Pearl Harbor left a lasting impression on us. Although I was too emotional to watch the movie presentation, the tour itself is something I will always remember, especially as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes. God bless America and the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. This tour is both educational and deeply moving, and I highly recommend it.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the cancellation of the “Pearl Harbor Tribute: Arizona Memorial and Honolulu City Tour,” scheduled for September 23, 2026. My brother-in-law booked this excursion through Tripadvisor under booking reference 1396116051. The evening before the excursion, we were notified that the tour company’s van had broken down and that our tour would be canceled. With so little notice, we had no reasonable opportunity to make other arrangements. We traveled approximately 2,000 miles to San Francisco and then spent six days cruising to Honolulu. Our ship was on Oahu for only one day before continuing to another island, so this cancellation cost us our only opportunity to visit the memorial during our trip. As a veteran who served for 20 years, visiting the USS Arizona Memorial held special meaning for me. It was one of my highest priorities while in Hawaii—an opportunity to honor those who served and sacrificed their lives at Pearl Harbor. I understand that vehicles can break down. However, a tour company accepting reservations should have a backup plan, whether through another vehicle or arrangements with another operator. Canceling the evening before, without providing an alternative, was unacceptable. We did receive a refund, which we appreciate. However, that refund cannot replace the opportunity we lost or make up for the disappointment of missing a memorial that meant so much to me. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this tour company. I ask Tripadvisor to investigate the cancellation, review the operator’s reliability and contingency procedures, and consider removing the company from your website. Please provide a written response explaining how this complaint will be addressed and what steps will be taken to help prevent other travelers from experiencing the same disappointment. Sincerely, Craig Smith
Pick up and transport to Pearl Harbour but no guide whilst you are there. The visit to the cemetery and downtown Honolulu is just a drive past. The bus does not stop and you cannot get out.
Moving moment to experience, don’t miss your chance to see this memorial. Take the time to read through all the plaques and show our respect and gratitude to those who lost their lives.
This was an excellent basic tour of Pearl Harbor and a drive thru Punchbowl Cemetery and downtown Honolulu. Was somewhat confused about timing as i booked the 930am time and the night before I received an email (thank you) saying I would be picked up at cruise port at 8am. (Later found out 930am was the reservation time for the boat to the actual memorial). Company replied quickly with email confirming 8am at cruise port pickup. Email even described the van to look for!! Excellent driver/guide and company to work with.
Driver/guide was great! He shared historical as well as contemporary Hawaiian information. He had a great sense of humor as well. The Pearl Harbor experience was sobering. Although it was a horrific tragedy, there were many heartwarming stories of others rendering aid to their fellow humans.
1st time visitor. Cousin Roland was amazing and very informative. They definitely went the extra mile to welcome and make us comfortable!! Would definitely recommend going!!
Good tour if you have small children. It doesn’t take all day so the little ones don’t get bored. The tour spends the right amount of time at Pearl Harbor and the city tour portion hits the major highlights of the city.
Great tour, on time and very knowledgeable tour guide! He gave us local beverages, water and a snack! He was on time too!
Our tour guide made several distasteful comments during the tour, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, he did not share much additionally historical information, which was the reason we booked this tour.
Vanessa was knowledgeable and humorous guide. The amount of time allowed at Pearl Harbor is too short. It needs to be another 1 1/2 to 2 hours longer
The air conditioning was off until the driver started driving making the Van extremely uncomfortable upon entering. The Van was extremely uncomfortable too many people and very small seats. The tour guides was friendly, but his tour was not engaging. We were left at Pearl Harbor for a period of time well beyond what was required. Our experience was so miserable. We decided to leave the tour at this point.
Fenomenal service !!! Ronald was very polite, professional, and funny at the same time. Love booking with them.
Our group of 4 were picked up at the cruise port and forced into a van of 12 adults, which was crowded and uncomfortable. The last seat of the van had 4 seats and was very uncomfortable. There was another van that was starting to be filled and we asked if we could be placed in that van and were told "no", therefore we rode in an uncomfortable vehicle from the port to the Pearl Harbor Memorial grounds. Once there, we were given over 3 hours to explore the museum and wait for a scheduled boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. Once we were finished there wasn't a whole lot to do, unless you wanted to spend more money for other tours within the memorial grounds, which we did not. From that point we were stuck waiting around and it would have been over an hour if we didn't decide to take a $25 Uber out of there and back to the city (Honolulu). Very disappointed in this Viator tour!!
Watch excellent videos in two theaters and look at displays prior to getting on a boat for the Arizona memorial. Also, bring a brown bag lunch since although the booking includes lunch, you only get a bottle of water in the beginning and a can of soda in the end.
The time for this activity was changed to 2 hours earlier the night before without any explanation or communication. We thought it might be a mistake and found out in the middle of the night that it was due to weather. It was a major logistical challenge. Nevertheless the memorial was worth seeing.
This was a great experience. Pearl Harbor was very moving and the film was great. There was a volunteer that gave a presentation at the memorial and we could’ve spent more time there looking at the exhibits but we were on a schedule. Our tour guide was fantastic, Rick. Very knowledgeable. He even gave us great suggestions at the end of the tour for where to eat near our hotel.
Pearl Harbor is a superb place to honor the fallen, however this tour is not a good value as it was over packed in a van with people caughing constantly without masks. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. Do yourself a tour and probably save money as well.
Very moving/somber. While I like children, you may want to consider how your child will act Remember
Pick up was late. But once we got started on tour it was great Vanessa our guide was very informative
Our tour guide was really good but we didn't feel like we had enough time to see Pearl Harbor. We felt very rushed. We didn't get to see the movie first and that would have been much better. We also didnt have time to see the sub which we thought was part of the tour.
It is self guided. Tour was good value. The boat ride and memorial of Missouri was very good. Other displays were not as extensive as we anticipated. Extra cost to see sub and battleship which there would not be time to do on this tour. Don’t take any type of bag you will have to pay to check them in. One small shop sells snacks/drinks, one hot dog stand but no other food vendors which was much needed. Bus ride through local sites was a great way to end the tour. Tour guide was informative.
Roland was a great tour guide. We had a wonderful time at Pearl Harbor. Thank you for the excellent experience.
Good tour on time pickup tour inclthe memorial and a drive thru old Honolulu
The trip was canceled by the tour driver because of the medical emergency that that had . We were notified by text. Now we are waiting for a refund
This was a self guided tour of the Pearl Harbor Memorial. They were scheduled to pick us up between 9:30 and 10 o’clock. There was some confusion about exactly where they would pick us up and what the van that was picking us up would look like but ultimately they came at 10 and delivered us to the memorial. Later they came back at 1:30 and picked us up exactly on time and took us on a very short tour around some of Honolulu. Our driver was very knowledgeable and informative and overall I believe everyone on the Tour feels they got a very good value for what we paid.
The guide was great, well planned and small group (12 people). Had plenty of time. Recommend highly. Just a heads up- I will say that our tour time and pickup location were very inconveniently changed at the very last minute - not sure if our original time was overbooked or if the driver medical emergency was real. If real, why were we given the privilege to fill the last 2 available spots on the tour we took? What happened to all the other people on our original tour time! Strange! Otherwise, a great tour.
Trip to Pearl harbour was excellent, Vanessa was informative and knowledgeable. we thought we would have enough time to see everything but ended up rushing round to get main areas seen. tip: plan to go early but to stay longer
Had a really great tour our driver was super informative and funny loved the experience pearl harbour was amazing and the tour of city was really great
