I've used Viator multiple times in the past. It has always been well organized and planned. This one was a mess, beginning with the last minute changes. It seemed as if you were short staffed/undermanned. I expected a group tour with a dedicated leader. This tour was essentially a driver dropping us off for a self guided tour. The visit at Pearl Harbor did not allow time to view the musuem. The experience didn't meet your standards.

Itinerary
Pearl Harbor the home of the USS Arizona Memorial, learn about one of the most pivotal moments in US history of WWII.
USS Bowfin is a fleet attack submarine that fought in the Pacific during WWII, and helped to make famous the term, “Silent Service.” Bowfin was launched on 7 December 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger, so it is fitting that her permanent home is at Pearl Harbor, Hawai’i.
The USS Missouri Memorial Association is dedicated to preserving the Battleship Missouri and sharing her story and place in history. The USS Missouri was the third U.S. Navy ship to be named after the Show Me state and the fourth American warship to bear the name - there was a Confederate Missouri that was captured by Union forces during the Civil War but never commissioned as a United States Ship.
An authentic World War II-era hangar, Aviation Museum Hangar 37 is home to the artifacts of our collection that tell the story of America’s involvement in World War II from the Dec 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor to the Battle of Midway and beyond.
Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Very good time. Saw all four major attractions (Arizona Memorial, Missouri Memorial, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, and Bowfin Submarine Museum). Arlaine was a knowledgeable and friendly guide.
This was one of the best tours I’ve taken in a long time! The guide “ Aireal “ was so knowledgeable and had answers for anything we threw at him! He made me and my son so welcomed as well as the rest of the group! If possible I will ask for him on any future tours! The Pearl Harbor complete package is the way to go to get the full experience of what happened in WW2! Thanks, Chuck
We had a wonderful and memorable experience at Pearl Harbor! Our guide, RoRo, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history. She made the experience even more meaningful and special. We highly recommend RoRo and this tour to anyone visiting Pearl Harbor! 🇺🇸Loved the tour!
Just completed an exceptional day with Karma tours and our brilliant guide Arial. It’s a full 8 hours of history from the locations stitched together with some excellent historical local and good to know facts from the guide. The pace of the day was good and there was enough time to cover the history at each location and get some food. Worth doing the full tour and we had a good local sites guide to the best of Waikiki and Honolulu on the way back.
A day fully immersed in history with an outstanding tour guide/driver Clift Amai (sp?) who provided a detailed itinerary and tips to get the most from the memorials and museums before sending us on our way to explore. He was a very safe and skillful driver as well, sharing lots of interesting tidbits as well as his own family’s experiences as native Hawaiians.
Wonderful experience. We loved it. It was very informative and special. Will definitely recommend it.
Pearl Harbor is huge, it is a tiring day. Our guide was Will who did a very good job. The excursion day is timetabled and well run so that you can see everything you are allowed to. There are no big bags allowed unless they are transparent.
Our guide was very knowledgeable on the Pearl Harbor attack attacked on December 7 He was also very good with all the information he gave us on the Hawaiian islands
Super fun and informative, The complete experience gives you a nice history of all of Hawaii’s involvement with WW2. Our tour guide, William, was very knowledgeable and friendly and pleasant to listen to while on the tour. We had a print out that listed the activities and times, which made everything easy to understand and follow, even when going to multiple locations
Haven't been yet, why you sending me this. Someone contact me asap. My experience when I go I'll let you know.
This was a great excursion. Getting the passport option provided us time and access to many addition places like the Aviation Museum and time to tour the Bowfin sub. Our driver, Shannon, was also great and provided us with some great information on the local attractions and landmarks on our ride. He explained what we would experience at the military checkpoints which I’m sure was helpful for anyone who may have gotten nervous or scared. Overall, 5 stars.
Our tour guide Shannon was very helpful and did a super job with the tour and information. You can tell he’s very proud of his Hawaiian heritage. Improvements: spend less time at the aviation museum and more time on the Missouri. Also, the Viator information needs to be updated for this experience. The information we received was that we would be picked up at our hotel when in fact it was a different location. I need to know ahead of time where I need to be so I can plan my route. Also, the Viator kept saying that our tickets would be at different locations. When in fact, the driver had our tickets all along. It was very confusing and Viator gave us misinformation and the description needs to updated on their site.
Long queues at certain exhibitions.Arlaine Lazo Tour Guide from Karma Tour Hawaii a brilliant informative Guide. The whole trip experience was amazing worth the money.
You are on a tight schedule so you may feel rushed to see all exhibits. Be prepared to see the destruction of our naval fleet. The death count of Americans was unbearable. The decision to disregard the onset of a possible attack was asinine. Human error was extremely costly. Maybe that had to happen to make our armed forces more aware.
There’s a lot of walking but it’s certainly worth it. A wheelchair rental would’ve been nice for the museums and gift shop.
A very worthwhile visit. The Arizona memorial is very solemn and I found it emotional to take in. We had a movie to watch before we boarded the ferry to memorial and found it really informative. USS Missouri is absolutely colossal- I didn’t realise how big it would be whilst on board. Make sure you’re attired with comfy clothing and footwear, as you go up and down ladders and through tight spaces. The aviation zone is a really great photo opportunity with many planes and helicopters from the various conflict eras. Bowfin submarine is another great attraction. Onsite staff give an in depth talk on the specifics of the war, the use of the vessels, aircraft and strategic operational notes from the war. There are lots of snacks shops, restrooms and gift shops along the way. You can purchase photos that the staff take from the desk at the end of the tour. Karma Tours are a fantastic operator and our guide Arlaine took should good care of us. She was a real hoot, engaging and knowledgeable of the area. The tour bus was very comfortable and brand new, very lucky to have the use of this transport.
Our guide Shannon was terrific! Very many volunteers moving experience on USS Missouri and seeing the Arizona was emotional. Must see place to visit while in Honolulu.
It’s hot and a lot of walking. We did the complete package and it helps to see the entire experience.
This is a long tour but it encompasses everything about Pearl Harbor. Come prepared to be learn about the history of Pearl Harbor.
Was an amazing tour. I would do it again
That everyone should do it Our guide Clift was fun and had lots of knowledge of the area since he grew up here.
We had an excellent guide taking us to the different sites - and explaining everything clearly so that we knew what time to meet him back at the van. The driver also gave us tips as far as how much time to give to each location that we stopped. It was a full day - but a great day! We did not get to see Attack Museum and the Road to War Museum because we ran out of time at the first stop.
Absolute surreal experience I highly recommend and Robert was excellent and very knowledgeable and easy going
It is a wonderful tour. Very heart breaking to see what happened and the fact that we lost so many men at one time.
Excellent tour. I wish we had more time to explore the entire grounds. My recommendation would be to extend the longevity of the tour to two days. Our driver was excellent and informative.
Great experience. Before going to the Arizona Memorial be sure to watch the film. Would recommend to anyone visiting.
Our guide was friendly, awesome, and a lot of fun. We enjoyed our excursion and would go with him on any excursion in the future. Thanks Clift
The only thing I’d tell other travelers is they limit the size of bags you can bring in. No backpacks and camera bags . Very small purses. But they do have lockers to rent for $7. Other than that it’s an incredible experience. Shannon, our driver, was the bomb. Very thorough and knowledgeable of the area. He’s the OG.
Robert was super kind and knowledgeable! He gave us a lot of in depth information as well as killer time management skills. Very communicative and thorough. My history buff family truly enjoyed and appreciated his time
Tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Wish there could have been more time at all the sites.
Great day - Jeff driver the best so knowledgeable and friendly- best day was on time and always there for pick up
Nice overall review of Pearl Harbor sites. Could have spent half a day at the US Missouri and less time at the aviator museum.
Our driver was great. She knew everyone's names and was very informative about everything about all the sights.
Great experience!! Best way to go. No driving and tickets right into the attraction and tour guide had lots of information to tell us about.
My family and I visited Pearl Harbor on 7/14 and could not have been more pleased with our Karma Guide, Arlane. Arlane was funny and authentic, knowledgeable and organized. Everything was booked for us and our tickets provided on site. The whole trip was seamless. We visited all four sites and had an unforgettable trip. Many thanks to Arlane for setting everything up and being so gracious. I hope I’ve spelled her name right and A Hui Hou!
If you visit Honolulu Hawaii, Pearl Harbor should be on your bucket list to visit. It is a great experience and also you learn a lot about World War II.
Covers all exhibits of the Pearl Harbor learning experience. Our guide ART, was the best!!! Very informative and asked each group at each stop how they were doing , what did they think , we had an elderly couple with our group that he kept an eye on with all the walking.
Our driver was Clift, who gave us his "Clift Notes" providing a detailed itinerary for seeing all of Pearl Harbor activities, making the day not only possible, but very smooth! He also taught us about Hawaiin traditions and the history of the island of Oahu and specific sites in Honolulu as we drove. Amazing experience!
Great experience to see all the aspects of Pearl Harbor and the venues, museums and shops. Very educational.
It was an amazing, rightfully somber and informative day. This was a long 8 hour day, but we got to experience all that Pearl Harbor had to offer.
Do the tour! It was super easy, extremely informative and allows you to enjoy the day without having to worry about knowing where to go or parking!
Arizona, Bow Fin and Missouri are great. Air Force museums is lacking. First hanger is good but rest is just parked planes. Also not fault of tour, I was looking for more RIMPAC merchandise while it was happening.
Excellent guide in Robert! Loved the experience and info. Definitely recommend booking if you want to take the worry out of planning your day!
Our tour guide Ariel was very friendly and a true professional. He was very knowledgeable about the Islands history and he went in great detail on the History of Pearl Harbor. It was a great experience all the way around. I highly recommend it. Thanks Karma Tours for a great experience.
We chose the whole day tour option that included the boat trip to the USS Arizona, USS Missouri, tours of the hangars and the USS Bowfin. Robert our tour guide was very good! He gave clear instructions, was always waiting where he said he’d be and gave us interesting information about the island as we drove.
What an humbling experience. Our only feedback was that the tour guide was bit too much. He didn’t give the passengers time to talk to one another and took his “teacher role” very seriously. He was super informative, and we learned a lot, but it was almost too much.
If you choose the passport option, be prepared with plenty of water and good walking shoes. Amazing and well worth the time. Shout out to Ro Ro for a great experience.
Our tour guide Will was fantastic! Got to see it all and was exactly as described. The only thing I wish was explained was the lunch situation. There wasn’t anything mentioned about lunch on a 9-10 hour tour. We were able to purchase snacks at the visitor center, but wish we would have known there was a hot dog stand. Besides not knowing if/what we were going to eat for lunch, everything else was great!
We were not staying at one of the designated hotels. Had to get shuttle bus from Honolulu 30 minutes past Pearl Harbor from our hotel with 10 other people at four additional stops and ride to pear harbor visitor center. Same on the way back. We could have saved 90 minutes on the shuttle bus and parked at visitor center. The shuttle bus was a complete waste on us and added no value.
