Overall experience was great. Minus a few unforseen hiccups. That were taken care of. By far Pearl Harbor is a must see. The Polynesian Center excursion was the highlight for us. The shows we're culturally informative and educational. The Tonga show with the three gentleman from Texas, Connecticut & South Korea who participated made it worth our while and entertaining. We want to give a big shout out to our shuttle driver Summer Gibson who was the best. Had us singing pointed out every site we need to look at so we wouldn't miss a thing. A real people person. She made our experience memorable.

Summer was a very good tour guide. I had a very great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would recommend this tour.
Loved the Polynesian center and the scenic route Junior took us on around the island seeing the blowhole, Diamond head and more. He was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the island. We were not fans of the lunch that seemed to be our only food option at a local food truck with only 6 items to choose from. After lunch we went to the Polynesian center with many more food trucks and restaurants we could’ve chosen to eat at instead if we had known. The Pearl Harbor tour is only to visit USS Arizona it doesn’t include touring the USS Missouri or the submarine which I think would’ve been really neat to see. The dole plantation we were only there for 25 minutes so you didn’t really get a “tour” just a self guided walk around. We spent the whole day there we got picked up at 6:15am and spent get back til after 6:00pm.
Thank to Will we had an amazing day, starting with Pearl Harbor, very moving. Polynesian Culture center has lots to do & yummy Dole Whip at Plantation! Will stopped at great spot for shrimp scampi lunch & beach across street had Mama Monk Seal with month old pup for us to admire! Will took us to a North shore macadamia nut co that was very unique, delicious nuts & coffee to sample! Mahalo for a very memorable day Will😘
Had an amazing time… Summer was our tour guide and she went above and beyond…. Took us to all of our stops on time. And picked us up and dropped us off on time. Made sure we pre ordered our lunch and had all of our tickets for each site. She was very knowledgeable about Hawaii and each historical site. We visited would definitely recommend 100 out of 10.
Summer was fabulous. Very informative about the history of Hawaii and the events of Pearl Harbor. All the locations were great. Timing was perfect. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves
We had a wonderful time on our tour! Pearl Harbor was sobering and touching. The Polynesian cultural center was amazing! The pineapple whip at the dole plantation was so delicious! I highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide, Summer, was so knowledgeable and made the tour fun!
Need better communication on pick up time. Reservation said 7 but driver called, 5 mins out at 6:28. Pearl harbor and Polynesian Center was good. 1 hour at the Dole Plantation is not long enough. Train is 20 mins and the line had a 30 min wait. So only got done whip and gift shop. The Lunch stop had WAY too much garlic (like a full garlic bulb)and where lots of flies. I would rather have eaten at the Polynesian Center. Our driver Summer was informative.
Overall tour was great. A little disappointed that we didn't get a tour in the pineapple fields. Summer, our tour guide was fantastic. Such a wealth of knowledge and fun to be with. Highly recommend her as a guide.
Half circle island tour. Allows more time at each stop. Our tour guide, Summer, was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history of Hawaii in general and about all the sights we were seeing. She also took the time to take pictures of us at various places and then sent them to us. Way better than selfies.
We enjoyed this tour very much. Our tour guide Summer and her assistant Sara where very knowledgeable and helpful.
Sunshine tours canceled this tour the night before it was scheduled because they said they needed 2 more people
Summer was our tour guide. I cannot imagine getting a better tour guide. Our tour started at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. Ho Hum!!!!!!!!! We then moved on something referenced as a tour of Dole’s pineapple plantation - WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!! A day later and I still do not know what a pineapple plant looks like!!!!!!! This turned in a trip to the grocery store that had to benefit Viator. Our third stop was at the Polynesian Center - well worth the trip. Too much too soon - wish we spent more time here. Our last stop was at a macadamian farm - another commercial stop. A day later and I have no clue what a macadamian tree or unopened nut looks like.
We had the best time! Our guide Papa P was simply amazing and so awesome with providing everything under the sun. Great wealth of information and history/culture of the island.
This excursion was perfect. Our tour guide. Summer was amazing. Very knowledgeable! A perfect wayto knock out all the must do when you come to Honolulu in one day worked great for our family highly recommend.
Summer is a great tour guide with extensive knowledge of the island in general, and the specific locations on the tour. It is a long day, so plan accordingly.
What a great tour! Our guide Summer was so informative and knowledgeable. We will definitely use this company and Summer as our guide again!
This was an amazing day! Summer made it such fun. She share incredible information with everyone. Summer is definitely the best tour guide we have ever experienced. Her guidance was perfect and helped us have the best experience possible. The Pearl Harbor tour was very emotional, educational and moving. Lunch was tasty and efficiently provided. The Polynesian Culture Center went beyond our expectations. Truly beautiful and informative. We definitely recommend this tour!!!
This is a good tour to see the highlights of the island. We were disappointed that the Arizona Memorial was closed due to construction, but Pearl Harbor was interesting. Dole plantation was good and the Dole pineapple whip was soooo good! The Polynesian center was entertaining and all the other experiences were good! Our tour guide, Summer, was very friendly and nice! I would recommend this tour, but one thing to keep in mind is the tour is about 12 hours from pick up to drop off!
Summer with Aloha Tours is so knowledgeable. What an amazing experience. Everything was awesome. Pearl Harbor, The Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation, and Macadamia Nut Farm. Mahalo Summer!
The driver was weaving in and out of traffic’s almost causing several accidents while talking on the phone. Most of information given was negative political blab. We did enjoy the places we went to
Great experience with Johnny Aloha. He took us to all the sites and a lot got information. Great demeanor and shared his own experiences as well across his life in Hawaii
We had such a wonderful time our tour guy was Amazing His name PAPA P!!! He gives the best tours ❤️ 🌟
long day but so worth it. hits all the high spots. polynesian cultural center recommend grab food eat and go inside to spend as much time as possible. our guide Summer was fantastic! we were tired but so enjoyed this tour and our guide Summer
Summer was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the island. It would’ve been nice to ask more questions instead of her just continuously talking. The Dole plantation was a money grab, it could be eliminated from this tour as we did not learn anything about pineapples, but saw a lot of pineapple merchandise. more time should be given to Pearl Harbor, there wasn’t enough time to see all of the museum. By eliminating the dole plantation more time could be spent at the museum at Pearl Harbor after the visit to the USS Arizona.
The music was played very loud and the AC was broken so the ride was warm and uncomfortable . The worst part was a 10 hour tour turned into a 12 hour tour ruining out plans. Bad time management. Overall, not good.
Great day paced really well. Summer our tour guide / bus driver was very friendly knowledgeable and went over & beyond to make our day very special
This was a fantastic tour and Johhny our tour guide with his knowledge of a wide variety of subjects was fantastic Can definitely recommend this tour and hopefully you'll be lucky enough to get Johnny as your guide
Leena did a great job hosting this tour she’s very knowledgeable about the island and its history! Amazing tour
The bus was cramped and very hot. Air conditioner did not reach the back of the bus. We were dropped off at each location. I wanted a tour, if you want a tour don't choose this trip. Dole Plantation is a tourist trap. It was a waste of time. The hour we spend at Dole should have been used at Pearl Harbor. The Polynesian Cultural Center is not a place to go without a tour guide.
Great way to see some major sights all in one day. Our tour guide was local, born and raised, and had great insight. The lines for all attractions were reasonable. I would have loved for more options to be included in the cost. You'll need to be prepared to pay for all attractions at Dole and food at Polynesian Cultural Center. But it was still a great experience. Lena was a great tour guide with so much historical knowledge.
We were scheduled for a 930am Pearl Harbor tour and knowing our ship didn’t dock until 9am we missed our time slot we had a party of 12 and all the could get was ticket for 10 people so 2 of us didn’t get to see it VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE THAT WE PURCHASED AND WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND ALSO ASKED GOR MORE TIME AT DOLE PLANTATION WELL WE DIDNT GET THAT EITHER
Excellent trip to multiple locations in 1 day, professional and knowledgeable drive, cousin Guy, who provides lots of history about Hawaii. Educational trip. He is very well organized and always make sure we as travelers receive all information we need
It was super cool to get to explore quite a bit of the island. We got to Pearl Harbor at the perfect time it wasn’t busy and we were able to quickly see what we wanted to without waiting. The Polynesian Cultural center was super cool and learned tons about the culture on the islands.
Trip to Pearl Harbor with Rob was very informative. This is where I learned the true meaning of Aloa...Breath of life...Rob was funny and taught us some Hawaiian words and sang some hawaiian songs.
Everyone visiting Oahu should take this tour with Leena. She shared details about Hawaii’s history, agriculture and native language. She thoroughly prepped us for each tour site so we were ready to go and not miss a beat when we got there. We had a great day! Mahalo Leena!!!
Hidden gem stops off the beaten path Great tour guide Local food Lots of walking Immersed in the culture
We were told to meet at 6:20am at a different hotel to pick us up than the one we were staying at. The shuttle came and we went to get on and our names were not on the list to be picked up even though it was through the same touring company. I called and was told that the shuttle was on the way and that they were running late. The other driver from the first shuttle stated that we may be picked up on the other side of the hotel so when I called I asked where we were supposed to meet the driver and was told we would be picked up at the same area the first driver picked up the other couple up at. We waited and saw our driver drive by and go to the other side of the hotel, luckily it wasn’t too far away. The tour guides were amazing and knowledgable giving lots of information and we were able to learn a lot. My only issue was the bus was almost full and we were in the back of the shuttle where the air conditioning was not cooling us down and it was incredibly uncomfortable for most of the tour. I appreciated the additional stops we took to places that were not listed on the tour description. I wasn’t expecting to be taken somewhere to buy lunch because I was under the impression lunch would be provided at the Polynesian Cultural Center. By the time we got to the Polynesian Cultural Center we waited in the hot shuttle for the tickets to be given to us and when we finally got the tickets and headed towards the center we were so hot and uncomfortable we ended up not even going and opted to go to an air conditioned restaurant in the shopping center to cool down, relax and do a little shopping in the area. I am thankful we were able to see Pearl Harbor but the time allotted was a bit too long and there wasn’t enough time at the Dole plantation to really see anything. Both of those experiences I have come to find out are free and what we really were paying for was the Polynesian Culture Center which we didn’t even go to along with the transportation which was not comfortable and left us thinking we should have just ubered to the locations.
The staff was very friendly. The grounds were beautiful. The pineapple whip was incredibly delicious!
Pickup was almost an hour late. Driver left additional guests at our location. Had to double back. At another location, couple complained that they had been waiting over 90 minutes. Driver's response was to laugh.
I think we spend less time that we were supposed to on sites, but the tour guide did two additional stops (sites) not included on tour…
Lena, our tour guide, was great! She provided, not just tourist information, she provided a lot more about the agriculture and land makeup of Honolulu, which I found to be interesting.
Great tour, perfect amount of time at each stop. Our guide Lenna was great and made extra stops for Malasadas and macadamia nuts. It was a nice surprise
We had visited Pearl Harbor and the Memorial the day before on a longer tour, and we enjoyed the second visit with this tour. We heard different volunteers and park guides speak, and were very moved by their commentary and stories. You cannot visit Oahu and not go to the USS Arizona Memorial. Visiting the Dole Plantation we thought was a complete waste of time. We were only given 30 minutes there - and the train around the plantation takes 30 minutes. There was a long line - and not enough time to do it. Very frustrating. All we could do was to visit the gift shop in that amount of time. We wanted to see the plantation - NOT the gift shop. The Polynesian Cultural Center was very enjoyable - but again - NOT ENOUGH TIME HERE. We only got to see half of it. We recommend a whole day tour just here! The students who work the Center are all charming and give a good experience of Polynesian Culture. Our tour guide Johnny Aloha was entertaining. He added in 3 additional stops - at the Macademia Nut Farm, the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout and the Palace in Waikiki on our return journey. These additional stops made up for our disappointment at the Dole Plantation. He also drove the coastal road which was beautiful to see.
We wanted our children to experience Pearl Harbor. It is a somber reminder of sacrifices made for our freedom. The tour itself was great! Dole and Polynesian Center were also good.
This is a wonderful trip and I know everyone’s preferences are different, but personally I would have liked a longer time at the Dole Plantation (20 minutes wasn't long enough) and less time at the Polynesian Center. But over all a great day.
The driver Lena made my experience amazing she is very knowledgeable has warm and loving personality
Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide & driver (Rick). From the somber visit to Pearl Harbor to a multiple of various food stops providing more than enough fabulous food.
Rick was amazing!! Best tour ever! We learned so much! He was funny and very knowledgeable! We had a blast! We will recommend this tour to everyone! We were blown away with all the adventure ! Thank you Rick!
The Polynesian culture center was by far the best. Our tour guide,Rick, was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable.
