A smaller venue than some of the luau’s. This was fine. Food was great and dancers were very good. We were 15-20 feet from the stage so that was fun. I’d recommend this luau.

Itinerary
The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.

We enjoyed the food and show, but the experience lasted only 1.5 hours instead of the advertised 3. Dinner was rushed, and the show started before we could get a second serving or a desert. Overall, far too expensive for such a short experience.
We enjoyed the Luau it was my twins birthday celebration. I selected this Luau because of the location very close to where we stayed.
The show was fun to watch. It was convenient, since it was at our hotel and highly rated. Dinner was ok, but not worth the price we paid. We paid for VIP and I was expecting a view, but we were seated at a long table where view was obstructed by others standing in front of you taking videos and pictures. I would advise to research luau options before booking.
The show was very good. My wife and I paid $440 for VIP tickets. Hands down not worth the money. The wait staff was terrible - our table especially. They're were 6 people seated at our table before us and around 12 after us and they all had drinks but we did not. I was finally able to flag down a waiter - he nodded and waved but never stopped or came by, our told our waitress. I then flagged down the waitress from the next table - she said our waitress would be right with us - she was wrong. She finally came by and took our drink order as they were announcing it was time to eat. I read many comments about how great the wait staff was - we did not experience that at all. We both had 3 drink tickets each. When the waitress finally came back around, she was announcing last call. So we left with 2 drink tickets in our pockets. The waitress at the next table over announced last call 20 minutes after our waitress did. The buffet was around the corner and it was ok at best - adequate maybe. All of the food was cold - including the prime rib. The desserts were good. The hand painted temporary tattoos were roll-on - literally 3 seconds start to finish. If it weren't for the show, we would have left way early and eaten elsewhere. You have to pay for the food otherwise your seats would be so far seat from the stage that you wouldn't be able to see much. Nothing about the experience lived up to the hype or the comments- again the show was good, but we paid for the expensive seats so we were close enough to enjoy the show. Spend your money on a different luau. The couple across from us left early.
Great value for money and the overall experience was fabulous. The dancers and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
We had the best time. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed the Polynesian food and Laua Certaimu enjoyed the dancers and the dancers with the flames
Wonderful experience! Loved learning and experiencing part of cultural heritage. It is a must do on your vacation list.
We had a wonderful time at the Pa'ina Waikiki Luau! Every single performance was absolutely beautiful, and the performers brought so much incredible energy to the stage. The food was delicious with so many amazing choices—the prime rib was a standout and truly superb! While it is a bit of an investment, the experience created a memorable evening. Incredible touch for the rain to hold off until the end of the show.
This is our 40th anniversary. The luau was the icing on the cake. Awesome performances and spectacular food.
This was sooo much fun. Buffé dinner. It tasted really good.
Great show I liked the ambience it felt cozy and didn’t want to do beach luau the food was ok but dinner felt a little rushed
We enjoyed everything about it. Even the rain didn't bother us. They gave out rain covers! Great adventure!
It is really nice and well organized. The show team is excellent, the show host is humorous and the food is good
I booked this luau not realizing it would be at the hotel I had booked separately. At first I thought it might be subpar since it was at a hotel rather than a "true Hawaiian" venue (whatever that means), but the convenience was great. And when we arrived and were greeted warmly and got fresh orchid leis and were seated near the stage and given a cold fruit drink, it was really nice. Then the MC/singer came out and gave a great welcome, while we were directed to a great buffet with several kinds of meats and fish, lots of vegetables, salads, fruits and desserts, including pineapple upside-down cake just like my mom used to make. When everyone had been served, the show began. The first dance was ok, but every dance after that was fantastic, including the fire dancers. We had bought the more expensive tickets, and I think it was absolutely worth it because we could see the stage easily, while the people in the less expensive seats basically saw just one dancer on a small platform, with the main stage farther away. But they could probably see the main stage when the small platform wasn't in use. I think it was a great way to end our trip to Hawaii and highly recommend it.
Food snd entertainment were excellent.
The main show for our luau was unfortunately washed out but tickets to a replacement show were arranged with no fuss at all. The second show continued on from the first and was a great experience with interaction from the audience, a great compare and smooth behind the scenes work from all of the support crew.
Fun evening, amazing show…good food..good history lesson.. entertainment excellent!
Show was very good, food was average at best, drink selection was limited. Your first was no choice ( mai tai), after that you could choose among 4-5 options. You had travel across the poop deck to get to serving area. Once again the the was great, the MC was great, food not so great.
Was better than expected. We booked at our hotel and the experience was great. We took our 11 year old who enjoyed the food and the show.
Great show and wonderful buffet.
Great experience overall. Excellent food, drinks were good and the performers were excellent. The VIP seating didn’t feel very VIP. There were two rows of 4 very long rectangle tables placed parallel to each other, each with one short side toward the stage. Being in the “VIP” section just meant you were in one of the front four tables. With “VIP” seats arriving at 5pm, we were seated at the end of the left-most table, against a wall, at the end furthest from the stage. To top it off, a large pole blocked our view. Not the end of the world, but not what I expected for VIP pricing. I would think the VIP section should’ve been only the two front middle tables and the tables on the end should have been regular price.
The featured band, MC and entertainment phenomenal! The meal marginal.
Wonderful experience. Exceptional show with great music, singing, authentic hulu and fire performances and history of the Hawaiian islands. We had the VIP package and it was definitely worth it. The food was unexpectedly good for a buffet, including fresh fish, prime rib, salads, fruit and desserts.
Amazing food & show!! So worth it! Staff were very friendly. Service was great. Plenty of food options to choose from the buffet.
Very good experience, the food was wonderful, the host was great and the music and dancing exceeded my expectations I highly recommend this show
Excellent show. Good value for the money.
Even though this was not at the beach, this was an excellent show. You get a brief history on what the dances mean and how much their heritage means to them. Food was great, plenty to choose from!
The performance and food was spectacular- I only docked 1 star because we bought VIP and still had to sit back decently far so I prob wouldn’t recommend it unless you show up way early.
Fantastic! Excellent performance and food was great!
Amazing performances/delicious food, and amazing drinks. Worth the hype it was an educational experience learning about the people and the island. And to keep their traditions alive and well, and knowing how they let it blossom into something beautiful😁❤️
Went to luau to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The experience was not what I expected. The entertainers were good but the location made it hard to get the full experience. It atop of the hotel on the other side of the pool area. The food was absolutely amazing and the best we had in Hawaii. It was buffet style with lots of choices. You could go back for more if you wanted to. Overall I would recommend it to others.
We looked at a lot of luaus before choosing Pa'ina Waikiki Luau. I'm so happy with our choice. Everything about it was great. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We got our drink, our leis, a floral bracelet and I got a temporary tatoo to get us in the spirit of the event. The band was playing right from the start. Kamu was not only a wonderful master of ceremonies but he is a great singer too. The buffet was terrific with lots of choices. And the show was just wonderful. The dancers were so entertaining. The highlight was the 2 incredible fire knife dancers. We chose the luau because my wife has significant food allergies and they were the only ones who made a real effort to make us feel comfortable. Before they made the reservation for us, they discussed her allergies with the cook who assured that they could handle it. They noted her particular issues, we spoke to a manager that day to review it, and the moment we checked in they reviewed everything to make sure they had it right. She even had a special bracelet so the server would know to take extra care. I can't appreciate everything they did to take care of my wife. I would highly recommend this luau for anyone traveling to Oahu.
Paina Waikiki Luau at the Waikiki Beach Marriott was incredible. The show was engaging the entire time and offered a wonderful variety of performances. The seven year old fire performer was a highlight for me and something I had never seen before. The staff, food and drinks were delicious and the pricing felt right for Waikiki. I would definitely recommend this luau to anyone looking for a memorable experience.
Fab evening - lethal cocktails ! But thoroughly enjoyable
What an AMAZING experience! 🌺 From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of authentic flavors, and the entire show was incredible! The performers were so talented, energetic, and engaging, and you could really feel the culture and tradition throughout the evening.
First time in Hawaii and to a Luau The atmosphere was beautiful. Food, drinks and entertainment were incredible. Would def6ho again and recommend it. It was walking distance from our resort . We took photos with the entertainers after the event. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Would recommend and also do it again.
sucked!!!! it was cancelled because of the weather which was stupid… but hey yall lost money not me!!
Very good experience, shows an food was excellent the dances are really good, the fire dance was incredible
There is a black mesh screen between the fire dancers so you don’t get a clear view. Pineapple juice was on the menu, but they said the machine was broken and they were unwilling to get it from the bar behind the stage. If it rains you will get wet.
The luau was fun. It rained a bit but they provided ponchos which was nice. The food was good, plenty of selections. Our only complaint is that it felt more “commercial” compared to the other ones we’ve been to that felt more “authentic”. Other than that we enjoyed our experience. The fire show was awesome
Hostesses, food, drinks, and entertainment was terrific. I highly recommend this luau. You do not see the roasting of the pig but it was delicious.
How personable and accommodating the staff was. I was running late and they called me twice to make sure I was on the way and would not miss the event.
Great Luau. We had lots of space as there weren't many people there on a Wednesday night. Started out slow as expected. Good was delicious, plenty and well organized. The show after dinner was amazing!
Nice story and show! Good food!
Traveled w/my husband and this was our first ever luau, and time in Hawaii. It was great. Felt very welcomed. Loved the story telling and dancing. Received a Lei, Lei bracelet, and tattoo. Food was great. There was laughter and just overall a great time.
We were really looking forward to this luau, especially since we paid extra for VIP seating, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The food selection was extremely limited for anyone who doesn’t eat meat and only eats fish. There was just one fish option, and it wasn’t very good. The salad was essentially plain spring mix with only a few pieces of cucumber and tomato, and even the rice contained pork and chicken. The other three in our group who do eat meat, were also not impressed with the food. We also paid for VIP seats expecting a better view of the show, but my view of the stage was partially blocked by one of the structural posts. For the additional cost of VIP seating, that was particularly frustrating. The show itself was also quite short. I’ve attended other luaus and was expecting a much more immersive Hawaiian experience, so this one fell well short of expectations. If you’re traveling to Oʻahu and looking for a luau, I would recommend finding one on the beach that offers the traditional pig roasting and a more complete luau experience. There are much better ways to experience this special Hawaiian tradition.
I think there are better luaus on the island. It was just okay. They also don’t have signs for where to go. It’s on the third floor of a hotel.
Very entertaining. Food was great.Staff was very friendly and service was great. Bucket item crossed off.
This luau experience was so great. Food wonderful. Drinks Mmmmm. I love that we got a Lei. The show was so good. Highly recommend
