Open-air! Best Of Road To Hana Jungle Adventure Tour! (6 Hours)

Had such a great time! I joined this tour on Oct 31, we lucked out with the weather (heard it was cancelled due to rain the day before), and the waterfalls were full and flowing, everything was lush, and being in the rainforest was just amazing. I was lucky enough to join an awesome group of travelers and our fantastic guide, Colin, all enthusiasm and knowledge! It's a shorter trip (in duration) than other tours as we met the vehicle (not quite van, not quite jeep, open windows - the only tour that has this as far as I know, and also why I chose it - that allowed the journey to be immersive, no barriers. Great view/photos without needing to get out :) Pack a snack/lunch, you can get the banana bread at Aunt Sandy's and other snacks, if you're looking for a food trip, this is not it, but if you want to see a lot of gorgeous views and nature, yes!

We went in October and were in a group of 12. Got off the Pride Of America and easy to find. Colin was one of the most knowledgeable guides we met on our travels. He spoke with real interest and happy to answer all questions He would inform us when there were restrooms, how long it would take to each site. Great day for my husband and l from Australia!

Not short due to extensive itinerary but excellent. Tour guide/driver was excellent. Knowledgeable and personable. Couldn’t do enough to accommodate and educate us. Awesome experience.

We had the best time on our road to Hana trip. Our guide/now friend Colin,made it so interesting with his vast knowledge of Maui, it's history, the forest, the waterfalls, and lastly a trip to Aunt Sandy's banana bread stand. This trip is a must see.

Our guide , Colin made the trip so much fun! He was so knowledgeable, energetic and caring. The tour itself hit all the highlights. The vehicle is high end and makes you really feel like you are in the rainforest. Incredible trip!!! I’d book multiple days with Shaka and Colin if I came back!

What a blast! Colin was the perfect guide. He had all the info you would want about the road to Hana and the area around it. I've driven the road and wanted to be able to experience it without stressing about driving. Best decision ever.

Wow, what a tour. The Road to Hana Tour with Shaka Tours was way more than I expected, and I'm still buzzing from the experience whilst writing this review. Colin the tour guide was awesome from start to finish. He greeted us all at the pickup and I knew instantly, it was going to be a good day. Colin lives and breathes Maui and it shows in his tour. Everyone on board was involved in the tour experience. What Colin doesn't know about Maui and the Islands isn't worth knowing. We learned the history, the culture, the lifestyle, the had the full Maui experience. And it was fun. Stories were told, laughs had, and memories made. The Shaka Tour open window transporter is unique, and everywhere we stopped, all the other tour groups, stopped to check the vehicle out. You feel a part of the Maui landscape having the open window vehicle, not locked away in an air-conditioned vehicle looking through tinted glass. Definitely the vehicle to see and experience Maui in. Colin knows the area, knows the best vantage points, knows how to put the guests right in the Maui experience. He's awesome. If your thinking of doing a Maui tour, go with Shaka Tours, you won't regret it. Thank you Colin. 🤙🏼

This looked like an amazing way to spend a day on Maui but we wouldn’t know because they cancelled our tour. They stated road work on the Road to Hana but the tours through our ship operated. We booked a couple months out and were left with no options for a Hana tour when notified, on short notice, our tour would be scrapped (everything was full or too pricey by then). When you plan activities for a once in a lifetime trip you want to know the tour company is reliable. In our case, this company was not.

We have a rental car but the tour was definitely a better option. If I had driven, I’d have spent the entire drive watching the road and other cars. This way, I got to enjoy the trip. We chose the 6 hour trip because we are on vacation. The 9+ hour day option did not appeal. The open air van was perfect!

Our guide was fantastic and we learned so much about Hawaii and Maui in particular. Waterfalls were gorgeous. Highly recommend this tour.

Such a fun way to experience the Road to Hana! Riding in the open-air shuttle made the views even more amazing because you can feel the breeze and really take in the scenery. The guide was super friendly and shared cool facts about Maui along the way aswell as he made us laugh and brought the energy haha but I’d definitely recommend this tour if you want a relaxed and unique way to explore Hana. 🌺🚐

I’ve been to Maui several times and wanted something different. This Jungle Adventure felt fresh and intentional. Less time stuck in traffic, more time surrounded by jungle. We had a group with different energy levels, and everyone loved it. Shorter than a traditional Road to Hana day but still packed with waterfalls, rainforest, and beautiful stops.
