Very educational and humbling. We loved the experience and knowledge of how the war started was very informative.

Most important see this. The most powerfull hostorical place
Information was super Number system was great Our family would take your again Gift shop for excellent
It is heart wrenching. The thought that many people lost their lives unnecessarily because one person trivialized a warning ," Don't worry about it, it's just a drill." To have all the equipment and tech of the time, but still not be able to save the service people trapped in the ships is awful and heartbreaking. Much respect for all whom serve and protect our country.
Definitely not what I was expecting. Ruined the day and definitely won’t be booking through this company
First of all don’t buy tickets in advance. To visit the Arizona Memorial is totally free. All you need to do is take an Uber if you didn’t rent a car. It’s either all morning or all afternoon visit. Everyone will learn something new even if you visited in the past. I did!
Make sure you research all activities before hand. It was a great experience and we all enjoyed the experience.
The boat ride and seeing the remains of the USS Arizona . Also, the audio tour was very informative.
The audio presentation and the virtual reality were excellent. Very solemn experience. Would recommend to anyone.
No parking. Did not see the memorial. Total waste of time and money. Way over crowded. Very boring displays. Need to update all displays.
No need to purchase ahead of time. This does not include timed access to USS Arizona (the ONLY way to purchase tickets is through the Park service). You can go to USS Arizona without a timed ticket. You can wait in the standby to take the boat out-line gets long quickly. If your traveling with luggage can check for a fee (all purses have to be checked-so if you can leave them in the car). The self guided audio tour was very informative and the VR experience was very cool too-this was included in this ticket. However, you can just pay day of going. Unless you want a timed ticket to view the USS Arizona, buying tickets in advance is not necessary. Beautifully done museum. Glad we went. The living history interviews of WW2 vets and civilians were best part.
I paid 115 for things that were free at the experience. Very disappointed. Will not book with viator again
Memorial was very nice and provided lots of history. Everyone should see this memorial. Great for all ages.
This tour was cancelled and no one told me why. Very frustrating when I called asking about it. I was also told that my money had been refunded when it actually had not. The morning of the tour I received an email stating that the trip had been cancelled.
As a US Navy veteran, I was a little disappointed. The tour of the USS Arizona was very moving, but very quick (too quick). There's not enough time to contemplate and absorb the enormity of the attack and the associated casualties. The boat ride is almost longer than the time at the memorial. This is not a complaint, just an observation. This is a VERY popular place, and there's not enough time to allow everyone to spend whatever time you want. I would have liked to spend more time.
The tour is mostly for those who have some connection to the ship. There wasn't much to see. The history of the Battle of Hawaii can be read at the museum
Complete and total scam. It costs nothing to go to the USS Arizona, the ticket was not for a guided tour but $38 for a stupid recorder you put in your ear which we did not use or pick up at the counter. Don't be scammed!
This place is a must to visit when in Oahu. The opportunity to visit and show our respects was a must for me. The way they present this memorial is perfect and very respectful to the men/women who lost their lives on this sad day in our history.
To be there and to see and hear all the stories about the battle . It was very interesting and powerful
Enjoyed the sites, your recordings and the boat ride to the Arizona memorial site. This is a special place for the family because so many died so unfairly. Our trip to Hawaii would never be complete without the visit to the Arizona memorial site.
Paid for something that is free. Would never recommend it. Sketchy would not recommend. Done if this company doesn’t like what you say, they ask you to keep riding more about your review not gonna change my mind sketchy
A memorial well done amd emotional for sure. We used the narrated tour by headphone. It was well worth it and made the tour more understandable and meaningful. The full tour lasted about 2 hours depending on the number of stops/pauses. Everything was easy with Viator from booking the tour, to entry and obtaining the headphones right to the end. I highly recommend using Viator and selecting this narrated tour.
Important: If you want to tour the actual USS Arizona Memorial on the water, you must have a reservation if you do not want to wait in the standby line!! The only place to get those reservations is off of the National Parks website/Recreation.gov. The reason I am adding this is because my friend was ensured he had the right tickets, but it was only for entrance into the main museum area. Therefore, we had to wait in the standby line. Sometimes, the reservations are hard to get because the site is overloaded (I've heard this from several people), so keep trying. If you do just show up without reservation tickets, the standby line is where you can wait in order to be placed in the boat after those who have reservations have been boarded. Granted, although the boat out to the memorial is a large boat, you can wait quite a while. We ended up waiting three hours, but it was well worth it. The earlier you get out to the memorial (without having reservation tickets) the better, because you never know how long the line is going to be. This portion of the tour is managed by park rangers and they do an excellent job of keeping everyone sorted and moving through the lines. Please be respectful to them as they're only doing their jobs. I recommend that if you're not entirely familiar with the history of Pearl Harbor and it's role in the United States' entry into WWII, you go through the museum portion of the memorial before actually going out to visit the memorial itself. There are several films that can be watched along with other exhibits which tell the story about that tragic day. I am a historian and have studied WWII, but I still found this part of the tour helpful as it was a refresher as to what happened that day and sets the stage for stepping onto the actual memorial from the water. I have no words for the actual memorial itself. To be standing on the place where so many men were entombed was very moving. On the tour I went with, you could almost hear a pin drop until the park ranger began speaking, such a significant gesture of honor and respect for those who perished there. Also, plan to visit the gift shop. There are a lot of neat items in there that you'll want to take home with you. Overall, an excellent, yet hallowing experience.
Learning so much history and having the opportunity to honor those who sacrificed their lives for this great country. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
This is very informative while being emotional. I would recommend that you go. Your heart bleeds for the men and women that lost they're life, as well as the family. My family is military and I have a lot of respect for people that give/gave their lives for us.
The website for the National Park is a mess. We were unable to get the correct information on the website or in person. We waited in line for the boat ride to the memorial only to be told that our boat ride was cancelled due to bad weather. The guide said that our tickets were good for 7 days. We don't have 7 days in Honolulu. The process needs to be streamlined for tourists.
Very emotional on-site at the USS Arizona. The narrated tour is a must to fully enjoy and appreciate the experience.
Don’t waste your money. Just show up and you can do the tour yourself. Also you don’t need tickets or reservations for the boat ride to the memorial that this pass doesn’t cover. We waited 10 mins on standby and got on the boat. The memorial is priceless!!
The Memorial it's self and the VR experience were my favorite, although we had to leave that day, so we didn't get to see even half of everything. I'd like to go back to experience it all. FYI, you don't actually have to pay to see most of this, including seeing the USS Arizona Memorial. We thought that's what we paid for and it turns out that we just paid for the VR experience and to have a device to narrate for us.
It’s a great experience. We loved that our kids enjoyed it and learned more about our history. We did the audio tour and that was good for our group as you’re able to listen to the stories.
Heart wrenching! I felt proud, angry and in disbelief as i moved through the museums, exhibits and memorial. Learning new information about the events that happened that day was great. Viewing the memorabilia was amazing. The VR experience was cool.
If you are desperately wanting to view this to pay your respects, free up your entire schedule and book daily to attend - as the wind stopped us seeing it. Very disappointing. I think they need to consider designing a better way to view the memorial as people travel from all over the world to see this and “high winds” stopped all afternoon tours that day. Hawaii is an island, wind is frequent and inevitable. Book a morning, wind isn’t always up in the mornings.
A very moving experience. No words to express appreciation for what these Sailors and Marines experienced.
Wonderful experience. Educational and informative, a great way to learn about Pearl Harbor. Interactive experience great for kids
Very disappointing. It isn’t clear that you are selling only an audio tour on a listening device. It is free to enter Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona, as a state park. I don’t feel like this was clearly described.
Very good tour to the memorial. Look at the wall of names carefully. I found my family name and possibly at relative who was on the Arizona.
The submarine was fascinating and the uss Arizona memorial was powerful. Next visit we will check out the battleship and the aircraft
We used Adventurein Hawaii. And they completely left us we wear at the stop they told us the bus stop but it was the trolley stop that we passed. And every thing they sent us was it was the bus stop. Stay away from this company they cheat you
Excellent! As a veteran, this is a must tour…to understand naval history & why we commentate Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, each year.
This package only gave us sound with earphones and a cellphone to hear what I can read in the wonderful free exhibition. IT didn’t include any boat trip to the USS Arizona Memorial like the name seems would be included. Be aware. They will not let you bring anything larger than a wallet sized purse or bag into the exhibit! I had to leave my wife’s purse in our car and our water bottles too! I never saw this on this package and had to go back to our car to redo as many other people. Please put notes in the lot about this. No kiosks either to pay $7.00 parking! Had to set up on my iPhone to pay it. Need license plate number to complete. To tour the memorial over the ship you do online a purchase if you can get them. They’re a lottery at 3:00pm on the day before you go.
This was a must see on our bucket list. Because tickets sell out quickly, make sure you have them booked in advance or you probably won’t get on the ferry ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. There is a stand by line that people wait in for a chance to get on if there is space. But, on the day we were there all tickets were sold out and our boat was full capacity. The tour was very informative and we felt honoured to be there. Everyone was quiet and respectful of the soldiers buried. The wall with all their names brought tears to my eyes. Looking down at the rusted parts of the ship and seeing the oil still coming to the surface from the sunken ship was definitely an eerie sight.
A moving experience, visiting Pearl Harbor and the Arizona. The historical narrative in the NPS museums provides the setting, you can envision the day and the position of the boats. Now ~80+ years later a visit to this final resting place and cemetery is a must do for everyone. Let Freedom Ring and Never Forget the day that will live in infamy!
Are tour was awesome and are tour guide/shuttle driver Art was absolutely amazing. If you can pick a guide ask for him 🤙
The memorial is poignant and a superb tribute to the tragic events and loss of life that occurred. The Navy guides were efficient and professional, however the whole booking process and options for visiting the monument does not properly or clearly explain how to get what you want. Visitors should know that you can actually just turn up at the centre and choose options when they’re rather than paying money for tours that may not be desired. The Navy run ferry to the monument can be booked online via ‘Recreation.com’ but you have to wait until 1500 the previous day, create an account and the tickets all go in minutes! What the online sites don’t tell you, is that you can just turn up and wait in line for a ferry and it’s pretty quick anyway. In fact you don’t need to book anything online. Just turn up and choose what you want to pay for. The kiosk staff are helpful and the lines short. The Arizona Memorial and the submarine Bowfin are both highlights I would say.
So easy and planned out from the beginning to the end. Our driver was Ben, he was wonderful! Definitely an emotional visit and tour. My father just passed and served 20+ years in the Navy. He would have loved this trip as he was stationed in Honolulu where I was born. This was my first time back since moving when I was 3 years old. I felt I was doing this tour for him.
Enjoyed the audio!!! Very well done. Wish a tour of the memorial was included. 😒 Thank you for the experience.
My father served in WW2 and was stationed at Pearl Harbor after the attack. I flew 3000k miles to see the Arizona. I stood in line, paid admisssion, and when it was time to board the Arizona they said the boat was cancelled beacuse "the Army/Navy football game was on.
It was a very emotional experience visiting the USS Arizona Memorial and seeing firsthand where so many Americans lost their lives. It is a very simple yet beautiful memorial.
Very moving. Freedom isn't free! Some sacrificed all. Everyone if able should visit. All very friendly staff and very helpful.
I consider this something you have to do if you visit Honolulu. The tour is really about the whole Pearl Harbor attack, and is mostly made up of exhibits covering all aspects from prewar tensions to the actual attack and its aftermath. It includes a boat trip to the actual Arizona, which is underwater, but in some ways is the least iforative part of the tour since there really isn't much to see. And if you can, you should also visit the Missouri, the battleship on which the surrender documents were signed in 1945. If you stand in the right place on the deck, just by the marker for the signing desk, you can take a photo that has the Arizona memorial and the Signing marker in the same photo, so you have the beginning and the end of the Pacific war in one shot.
