Dole Plantation was fascinating and fun…very expensive, but very fun… the food truck area was kinda dirty and had very limited selection..and there were no easily accessible trash cans. Lov d, loved the village and the festival. Would recommef

The driver was fantastic! Enjoy the train ride through plantation and the gardens were beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the Dole Whip with pineapple!
We enjoyed the tour but felt the time at Dole Plantation was too long. Would have preferred another stop. The bus was comfortable and the driver, Marvie, was excellent- a good driver and commentator, and a very caring person.
Our experience to the Dole plantation and the North Shore was overall delightful. Our driver was informative of Oahu history and very sweet.
Extra expenses for Dole Plantation activities, food and shopping. Also lunch (shrimp from Jenny’s is delish and make sure to get a coffee or other drink at The Nest right next to Jenny’s truck in an old gas station. Get small bananas at fruit stand near the Nut house - so different and so delicious- and cheap)
Excellent experience! Our tour representative Victor was great. He kept us entertained and informed us of the history of Hawaii.
Wrong time and pickup location was given. When I called to check, the operator was very rude. Restroom on bus was out of order. Tour driver was good.
Kelly (Auntie Kelly) was our excellent guide. She went above and beyond the described tour. Plus, being native, she has an immense appreciation for her state’s history and more than happy to share her knowledge. We had a great time.
Hassle free tour of the NorthShore. Just sit and relax enjoy the amazing green landscape of the mountains. Our driver is very informative and gave us an extra place to see. It's worth getting these tour.
Fairly inexpensive for a day out in Hawaii! Our driver Auntie Kelly was great, very knowledgeable, and loved her personality. I do wish we would have had a little more time at the plantation (2 hours is not long enough to do everything and still shop). We were not able to quickly get to the food trucks on the north shore for Jenny’s Shrimp if we wanted to hit any of the shops so ended up at Jax Pizza instead (which was great). Overall a nice way to hear the history and be driven around!
This is a great budget trip. I would recommend you use your military id for additional discount at the Dole train ride snd garden experience. Be prepared to buy lots of stuff at the Dole store. The food places at the second stop was very varied. Great place for poke. The last stop was at a small macadamia nut place where you can sample befire you buy. Price was very reasonable.
It was Just is described. It was a round-trip to some sites north of Honolulu and it was great. The places we stopped, were interesting and the food choices were excellent
our driver marvie was awesome! he was knowledgable, and funny!! i would recommend this tour :)))))))
We had a good time! Jenny's shrimp was surprisingly good... Dole was cool. Macadamia nut farm was very good!
Very informative tour! Marvie was very enjoyable! I like that it was 6 hours and pick up was close to our hotel
Great trip for those who want a leisure pace!
Our driver was very informative, and this shuttle option enabled me to visit some of the locations i had missed on round island tours or wanted to revisit
The tour was good. But they could have left the macadamia nut farm part off the tour in my opinion.
Underwhelming. This was not really worth the money or the ride. The maze was just something to do and the train ride could have been an informational video.
The trip was just the right amount of time in each place. The driver did an excellent job of giving us information, history facts, and other interesting things about the location. He was personable and humorous! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
This was a great deal for a pretty full trip. My favorite part was the plantation and lunch. The gardens are the plantation are well worth it. The lunch was great. Our tour guide (I think his name was Marv) was excellent. He described things as we were driving. He drove well and made it an easy day for is.
1st Stop: The dole plantation was cool to see. We had never had dole whip so it was nice to have it for the first time at the original place! A huge gift shop. The 20 minute train ride was fun. 2nd Stop: Jenny's Shrimp truck. Honestly the Spicy Garlic shrimp was so delicious. We shared a plate and then went across the street and got shaved ice! 3rd Stop: a little shopping town and about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. More food options here if you don't want anything from the food trucks. Lots of shopping. On Wednesdays there is a farmers market. 4th stop: it was supposed to be the North Shore Macadamia Nut Company BUT the driver did not take us there because he wanted to beat traffic coming back. I was super bummed because I was planning on getting a specific gift to take back home to a friend. I requested a partial refund but the tour company denied it. Overall I give the tour 4 stars but will probably not book through this tour company again.
Great trip! Marvie was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the island of Oahu and provided a lot a tidbits that wouldn’t be known if you went alone. He was funny as well so he kept the trip fun!
This was a nice day where Marvie did all the driving.
Got to see non commercial side of Oahu the driver was excellent she knew history of Hawaii and communicated it in a fun way
Our expectations were exceeded. A very nice experience to see and enjoy some of what the island has to offer. A great value with a very comfortable bus and nothing to strenuous. The bus driver took really good care of us.
First time visit to NorthShore and Dole Plantation. The landscape was filled with lush green fields and mountains. The experience is great for new visitors.
We had a good time on this tour and felt that it was a good value for the money. Marvie was our driver and he was a great guide, he narrated while driving and pointed out lots of interesting things. We did notice that the bus was a little toasty inside, though, even though the A/C was on. The Dole Plantation has a lovely garden (must pay an entrance fee to enter). There were lots of nice shops at the plantation and we had the opportunity to have a Dole whip while there! Yum. We also really enjoyed Haleiwa, it is a cute little surf town. Our stop there gave us enough time to walk around and grab lunch and some drinks before we departed to head back to Honolulu. I think this is a good option if you want to relax and see the sights without bothering with a car.
Uncle D is a treasure! This was supposed to be a boring shuttle trip until we got to each destination, however, Uncle D made it memorable by giving us cultural, historical, geographical, and economical information. He’s a welcoming and kind guide. The trip up and down to the North Shore is absolutely stunning and worth taking the tour for that alone The Dole plantation was interesting. The little town of Haleiwa was a nice stop and the macadamia nut folks are a treat in every sense of the word. If you’re lucky, their CEO will be on the counter, sprawled out at checkout and the chickens will lift their heads from the basket. Part of the appeal was it being a shorter tour. But taking the circle island tour with Incle D will be on our next trip to the island.
The tour guy gave us an amazing experience, sharing knowledge throughout the van ride to giving us options on different experiences we can go through. I would definitely recommend traveling with family. It was one of the most femoral tour I’ve been through.
Very good tour. Train ride is $15 and maze $10. Not included.
The prices at the Dole Plantation gift shop are really high, but the Plantation itself is really nice. The Dole Whip is incredible. The train ride is pleasant and informative and I would suggest making time for it. The food trucks offer incredibly good food and the portions were huge! Definitely worth every penny and easily one of the best meals we had while on vacation. We would have liked more time at the shops as lines were long there and we didn't have enough time to explore everything. It also would have been nice if the bus could have accommodated my wheelchair as I would have enjoyed the outing more. The bus driver was very nice and the trip overall was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this excursion.
We had a great time on this tour. I learned so much and met some nice people on our bus. I heard this was for kids, but I will have to disagree. I learned what other things Dole make and ate some good food on the plantation. The second stop we ate and did a little shopping. This was worth the money and a tour for any age.
Driver narrative was informative. Time at locations was good amt of time. Didn't know what to do at Haiwa.
Our seats had stain. A/C was not so effective. During drop off, streets were closed due to pre scheduled event that driver realized when we were stuck in the traffic. We got off and had to walk an hour. This could have been prevented by selecting alternate route.
Not worth it. Stopped for over 2 hours in a small community to shop. 2 hours at the plantation is too long.
The train is not worth the money. Did not detail the process of planting, harvest, delivery to different markets. Just a general pre recorded audio. No video. The pineapple treats were all excellent.
It's a long day that starts with an hour of pickups around Waikiki. The air on the bus didn't work and the driver played a Christian mix at the same time as the local radio station. At the plantation, nothing is included. You literally are paying for the transport only. The lunch spot is okay, but could be eliminated and either more time spent at the plantation or the town just past the lunch spot, which had way better food choices. The macadamia nut stand is the most worthless stop and could be skipped all together.
This was an awful and traumatic experience. There was nowhere to use the bathroom and when I reached the point of an emergency and asked multiple people at the Dole plantation to use the bathroom they all told me I had to wait until the building opened. Dehumanizing and unacceptable.
Víctor was a great guide. He was funny and pointed out things along the way. Bus was comfort able and the trip was well worth the money.
I really enjoyed my visit to the Dole Plantation! Our driver, Marvee, short for “Marvelous,” as he proudly calls himself 😂, was fantastic, friendly, and entertaining! He made the experience even more enjoyable. My only complaint was that the bus was extremely hot afterward, which made the ride uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience!
Time is limited at the Dole plantation. If you want to ride the train, do that first, because the line is long and slow. Our driver was super nice, and overall, it was a nice little trip.
I love the service. The bus was very comfortable and the driver, super nice. I would book with them again.
Great experience. Driver, Marvie, is friendly knowledgeable and made the trip a great experience. Kept everyone informed throughout the tour. Highly recommend.
Learned about the word, family, the Pineapple macadamia nut company, so much more. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us. We took our father. She was totally as well as a train plantation. Absolutely.
Marvie was a great driver and very full of interesting facts. I’m glad I got to visit the North Shore. My only complaint is 2 hours at the Dole Plantation is too long, but the Dole Whip is a do not miss.
Dole plantation was great. Dole whip was wonderful. Train was good, lots of info. Lunch was also good at Jenny’s food truck. The last stop at macadamia nut place was poor. Nothing much there. The worst part was the pickup and drop off. Our ticket said pick up at 8:35 from the pier, but they called at 7:15 and asked us to come then. After the tour, they drove right by the ships stop but we had to remain. Another hour before we got back to the ship; so transportation was poor.
Bus was hot and ac was n I t working well. My seat belt was missing. The bus had additional mechanical issues as the check engine light was on. Drive was nice and polite. We were unaware it was a drop off do it yourself tour.
The Dole plant tour is a Very nice tour. Great gift shop. The train ride was great. The dole whip and roasted corn were fantastic!!!
The bus was comfortable, driver knowledgeable and friendly, stops were iengaging, and worth the day!
