Very interesting experience. Rich was both knowledgable and friendly. Would highly recommend this tour.

Free admission if booked directly thru government.... Takes about an hour. Military guides are great
We were excited to go on this tour to see Pearl Harbor, the Punch Bowl Cemetery, and the Palace. This was a highly rated tour, which is why we selected it, but it was definitely below our expectations. Once we signed up, there was very little communication. We had submitted all of our travel details, but then never heard back from them. After arriving at the airport we still had no information. I finally had to call to find out where to meet our guide and when. Even after we were given the location and pick up time, the guide was late and we were late getting to the tour. The tour at Pearl Harbor was short. Then when we got to the Punch Bowl Cemetery, we were informed we couldn’t get out of the vehicle to walk around, so we just drove through the cemetery with little information about it. Then we had a long drive to the city where we had a very short time to see the Palace and the courthouse. We didn’t walk over to the palace. and wasn’t given any information about it, I finally had to ask about it. Then we dropped off the small group at the hotel and we returned to the airport. It was a lot of money to spend much of our time in a van driving around. If we knew this was how the tour was going to go, we would have just done the Pearl Harbor portion of the experience. I wouldn’t recommend doing this tour.
driver was friendly and informative small tour is the way to experience this love the touring around
Pearl Harbor is somewhere every American should visit at least once. Very moving experience. The tour made the trip easy, convenient, and comfortable.
Our tour Pearl Harbour guide was fantastic. His gun facts and courteous personality made our trip delightful. Richard, our guide was quick to share historical knowledge.
No issues with the tour guide or transportation. He was on time, van was clean and cold water was provided. I’d recommend visiting the Missouri and not just the Arizona. It’s very small, quick tour and it feels like we would have preferred to see the other sites.
Very limited time to see everything. We could only visit one museum for 15 minutes until we had to board boat to Arizona, then run to watch movie because we were picked up late. Missed the main museum we came to visit. Very disappointing. He was also late picking us up so we stood for 30 minutes outside.
it was an awesome experience to visit Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial. Our tour guide was great; she kept up an informal conversation with us while touring parts of Honolulu noting the history of places and particular buildings of interest that most tourists with limited time likely would not see. She kept the group together at Pearl Harbor to give a quick briefing on what to see and hand out boat tickets for the short trip to the Arizona memorial. At the memorial itself, park rangers maintained excellent crowd control as boats were discharging and picking up passengers with little time in between. Incoming group along one side of the memorial, outgoing along the other side. For me, being from Arizona and being retired military, this was a most awesome and solemn esperience. Small group tours are the best! Hats off to the tour guide, tour company and to Viator for making this experience possible.
Was a very easy meet up point right at the pier and was a very comfortable van. After Pearl Harbor we got to go see a few other spots that were nice to see. Was a real good tour when you don’t have time to take the whole day. I liked that it broke out the Arizona on its own plus some other highlights in town.
Small group tour - well worth the price. Rich took us to Pearl Harbor, where the National Park Service takes over, and then gave us a brief tour of Honolulu including the National Cemetery. We all enjoyed the tour.
Our guide Rich was knowledgeable & Took us all around Honolulu & showed us all the important sights. However, our time on Pearl Harbor was short so unfortunately we were unable view the museum exhibits due to lack of time.
The tour did show us what it indicated but it g felt quite rushed. We didn't have time at Pearl Harbor to see exhibits other than the USS Arizona. The rest was "drive by and look" no other stops. Maybe I should have read the exact description better but I was expecting a bit more.
First of all, the driver was late, and we almost missed our boat shuttle time. Next, The description says that it is a guided tour and that tickets are included. Neither is technically accurate. The guide just picked us up and drove us to the memorial, gave us tickets, and quickly explained the direction we should go to get started. There was no guide at the memorial-though none was really needed. In addition, there is no charge to go to the memorial or watch the video in the first place! Finally, we didn’t get out of the vehicle to see the punch bowl cemetery or memorial. We quickly drove by/through. We should have just taken an Uber and we would have saved a great deal of money. The lady was very nice though; I just think that putting “guided” and “tickets included” are both very misleading statements.
Informative, friendly, accommodating The guide answered our questions and gave us historic info.We enjoyed the tour.
Riley our driver was very good had a lot of information to share and a lot I never knew about until she told us. Very polite and professional, excellent time with her.
Wonderful tour, very informative and humbling. A tour every one needs to do . The deaths of these meb and women is such an important part of history.
Prompt with some insight into Hawaii. Good scenery on bus but not a lot of dialogue. Was well organized.
Wonderful tour and tour guide. Can not wait to di it again. She was full of history and knowledge of the island.
Corey was a great tour guide. He genuinely cared about us and making sure that we knew the history of our tour plan s the history of Hawaii.
Very well run… picked up on time, guide friendly and very knowledgeable about the trip! Trip was as good as anticipated!
Corey was probably the nicest person we met on the island and that is saying something as everyone was so nice. He gave great insight and the tour was good and thorough.
Don’t use this company we had to Uber to the pick up point , when you get to Pearl Harbor the guide just tells you where the pick up place is and then you are on your own, Iwe county have had the Uber driver drop up there and saved a lot of money!!!
This tour should be given to all kids in the United States to understand the history and the responsibility of the US military
Tour guide was informative and friendly. She explained clearly the layout and conduct of the tour. Most helpful.
Very knowledgeable and timely. A seamless experience!
Very interesting and thoughtful trip to see Pearl Harbor. Our guide was quite knowledgeable about the history of the Islands and Pearl Harbor. It was nice to have only one other couple in our group.
Our tour guide, Noelani, did a wonderful job. Her knowledge of the area made for an experience to remember.
Personal guided tour is - pick you up drive you around to pick up more people. When you are first to be picked up that means a long ride. Then drive around some more, point at stuff, then drive you to the memorial and kick you out to do it then pick you up when it is over and drive you back to a pick up point. I always judge stuff when it is over with, “ if I knew then what I know now would I do it again?” The answer is no. I would just buy AZ Memorial tickets and drive there myself or uber when it is time. The memorial was memorable.
Wonderful! Rich was great. Very knowledgeable. I am sure if you wanted to stop, get out to take pics, he would accommodate.
Our driver and tour guide, Riley, was super friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and accommodating! This tour was perfect for our family (2 kids ages 14 & 11) - enough time to appreciate the site & monuments, but not too long to make them bored.
The ticket stated 9am. But the tour guide without informing us, made it at 8 am. Apparently a bigger group had to be back early. We are told to be ready at 7:40;am. It's supposed to be 4 hours. It was 3.
Corey did an excellent job of educating us on the back story before we arrived at the Pearl Harbour Memorial Centre. If you are booking ask for Corey!
This tour did not deliver what it promised. Our family booked the Oahu: Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial small group tour. Our itinerary was for a tour that started at 9am with 30 minutes at the Iolani Palace and 15 minutes at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. We were picked up at 9:30am and driven past the Iolani Palace on the way to Pearl Harbor without stopping. The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific was skipped entirely. Our tour guide was sick, coughing frequently while giving only a little bit of information. When we got to Pearl Harbor, we were limited on time. We got to see the USS Arizona Memorial but were rushed with having only a total of 20 remaining minutes to visit the 2 museums. The tour company did not take us back to our hotel. Instead, we had an Uber driver, who gave us more information about Honolulu and Pearl Harbor than our tour guide had. We were offered a 30% discount and were told that we should be grateful that they had not cancelled our tour. We paid $100 per person for this tour. In the end, we could have saved money by hiring an Uber to transport us to and from Pearl Harbor. The tickets for the USS Arizona are only $1 and are not difficult to obtain when booking the trip over 2 months in advance, as we did. In the end, we felt disappointed and like they had taken advantage of us. Our family has booked over a dozen Viator tours (including 4 on this trip alone). We have always rated them with 5 stars, except for this one. The tour company, Personalized Hawaii Vacations and Tours simply did not live up to the high quality Viator tours we have experienced in the past.
Bring a water bottle. Snacks are available. Visit the USS Arizona and then see movie. If possible try to visit the USS Missouri too. Awesome experience.
Take the more private tour, it’s so nice. Your had our tickets for Pearl Harbor. Expressway was closed due to two accidents, our driver routed around the problem and had us there in plenty of time, we wouldn’t have been able to do that. Guide had a lot of helpful tips. Took us on 4 more quick stops a very nice 4 hour tour for a great price.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was informative and engaging. The time at Pearl Harbor was emotional, and the tour around Honolulu was great.
Need another option if u have already went to the capital Have a scenic route so people can go through the tunnels to the other side of the island My guide was the best truly went above and beyond
The small group tour was the way to go for sure! We had a wonderful guide (I'm sorry for forgetting his name!) who had all sorts of fun and interesting facts to tell us about both before and after Pearl Harbor. Lots of Hawaiian history and of course information about the time leading up to the bombing and what to expect at Pearl Harbor the day of. Truly a great way to tour the memorial.
Safe and comfortable. Driver was friendly and informative. Vehicle was clean and we were The only customers.
Two hours went by really quickly at the USS Arizona Memorial and Pearl Harbor site. Would’ve enjoyed a bit more time here to really see everything well. This tour was not ADA-friendly. Driver/Guide did not ask any guests if they had any physical limitations that might require assistance. My friend has lower back issues and could have used a steady hand up into the van and out of it, but driver offered neither. We grabbed a wheelchair at the memorial entrance to use during our time there, but was told we could not go all the way to the tour van with it. (!) Ridiculous. It was raining lightly and the pavement was wet and slick. I offered to run the wheelchair back to the entrance after leaving my friend at the van to wait for the others. Finally, the tour guide said she’d have another guide do that. As a group, we were never asked by the guide if we had any questions along the drive. What????! We have taken other Viator tours in Portland and elsewhere whereby the guests were given ample opportunity to ask questions and encouraged to do so. Very disappointing…
Rich was so knowledgeable and gave his so many facts during the tour. He made it fun and memorable!!
Rich was extremely knowledgable and we had a fantastic day. He went out of his way to explain any questions that our group may have had.
Viator tricked me and stole 700$ from my veteran father. We wanted to see the Pearl Harbor memorial and I called Viator for some help. The representative told me that we could get a guide to get in the park. I told them several times we did not need a ride or a guide but just were looking for options to get in the park. He sold me what I thought was entry into the park and we had to meet the guide 1.6 miles away from the park. Then the guide drove us to the park said you are "on your own". Come to find out the park is FREE to get in and there was parking for us for FREE. I called Viator and told them they sold me something I did not order and the operator manipulated me into buying something that was unnecessary and something I did not order. They will not give a refund. This is the worst experience I have ever had on a vacation.
Noelani is an excellent driver/guide. Her knowledge of the island is intimate, personal, entertaining, and thoughtful. She is safe and aware of the traffic picture. After touring the city and Punch Bowl, we arrived at Pearl Harbor. Tour guides aren’t allowed to wander people around onsite, so Noelani spent time at the entrance to make sure we knew where to go and suggest the best order to insure we had enough time to experience Pearl Harbor well. She is highly organized and forward-thinking, anticipating the questions and needs of those she tours. Highly recommend.
Well worth the time. Our driver/guide, Dave was full of knowledge and a genuine nice guy. He even handled a "mouthy" passenger with finesse and quiet strength.
Prepare for a somber and possibly emotional moment. Realize that kids 18 to 20 years old lie beneath your feet and missed the opportunity to grow up.
Recommend the small group tour. It was very informative. Our driver Rich was knowledgeable and the tour around the city was great
The tour was great. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at the port. No taxi or uber. I highly recommend asking for Noelani as your driver and guide.
Receiving behind the scenes history prior to arriving at. Pearl Harbor enhanced the time spent at Pearl Harbor.
