Johnny did a great job at highlighting the sites, showing us where things were, rerouting us around closed roads, heavy traffic areas and sharing history with us.

Itinerary
Our initial stop takes us to an elevated viewpoint nestled on the eastern slopes of the renowned Diamond Head Volcano in Waikiki. This vantage point provides an excellent opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Oahu's southeastern coastline, offering panoramic views that extend to notable landmarks such as Hanauma Bay and, on clear days, even as far as Maui. Familiarly referred to as the Aviator's Vista, this location carries historical significance as the site where spectators gathered to witness Amelia Earhart embark on her pioneering first solo aviation journey from Hawaii to North America.
Hanauma Bay is a stunning and iconic natural bay located on the southeast coast of the island of Oahu. It is a well-known tourist destination and a popular spot for snorkeling and swimming. The bay is formed within a volcanic crater, which has since been eroded by ocean water, creating a beautiful and sheltered crescent-shaped beach. *We do not stop at Hanauma Bay
Marvel at the natural wonder created by molten lava tubes from Oahu's Koko Head crater at the Halona Blowhole. This unique formation, resulting from volcanic eruptions, sends water shooting through a narrow opening in the lava tube, creating a captivating Hawaiian geyser when the surf is just right.
Embarking on the path to Oahu's windward side, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking drama of Waimanalo's sea cliffs at Makapu’u Point. Let the deep sapphire waters unfold before your eyes, and as you gaze upon the seascape, behold the allure of Oahu's Manana Island, famously named Rabbit Island for its enchanting contours resembling a whimsical rabbit against the backdrop of the ocean's indigo expanse.
After a picturesque drive along Oahu’s eastern coastline, delight in a one-of-a-kind tasting experience at a distinctive macadamia nut shop nestled beneath towering Banyan Trees. Immerse yourself in the distinct flavors of exquisite Kona coffee, relish the richness of macadamia nuts, and succumb to the allure of Hawaiian chocolates, all within the tropical charm of this unique find.
Immerse yourself in the scenic wonders of Chinaman’s Hat, or Mokoli’i, harmoniously framed by the majestic Kualoa Valley Mountain range. Renowned for its cinematic splendor showcased in iconic films like Jurassic Park, this island earned its moniker from the straw hats worn by Chinese immigrants toiling in Oahu’s sugar plantations during the early 1900s. As you absorb the panoramic beauty, envision the historical tapestry woven into this landscape and appreciate the island's unique blend of natural allure and cultural history.
Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, offering the renowned North Shore Garlic Shrimp plate and other local delicacies. Non-shellfish and vegetarian options are available, and don't forget to bring cash for lunch.
Visit a North Shore tropical fruit stand, where you can savor ice-cold coconuts, fresh mangos, and other tropical treats. This delightful stop offers a refreshing array of locally sourced fruits to enhance your journey through the vibrant flavors of Hawaii.
Escape the crowds and experience the serenity of Sunset Beach on the North Shore. This picturesque Hawaiian beach offers tranquility, though during winter months, witnesses impressive swells ranging from 30 to 40 feet from the safety of the shore. *Stop dependent on road conditions & driver discretion due to high surf Oct - Jan.
Immerse yourself in the extraordinary botanical collections at Waimea Valley. Explore diverse gardens featuring flora from various parts of the world, including the Ogasawara Islands, Central and South America, Fiji, Guam, and the Mascarene Islands. Wander through the Hawaiian collection, showcasing rare and endangered plants brought to Hawaii from their places of origin. Don't miss the captivating waterfall in the garden, where swimming is allowed, and lifeguards are present. Life jackets are required. *Admission is included ***WAIMEA VALLEY IS CLOSED MONDAYS SEP - MAY ***
This stop is designed for us to briefly stop for souvenirs and an authentic Dole Whip ( Dole pineapple soft serve ice cream)! You can't get this treat unless you also visit Disney Land or Disney World (don't be fooled by the imitation products throughout Waikiki). *No Train ride or Maze activities, Dole Whip not included*
Perched atop the rugged cliffs of the Ko’olau Range on Oahu, the Pali Lookout offers visitors breathtaking panoramic views of the island’s windward side. Known for its historical significance in the Battle of Nu’uanu, where King Kamehameha I secured his victory in uniting the Hawaiian Islands, the lookout provides a glimpse into both natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. With strong winds often sweeping through the area, it’s a must-visit destination for those seeking awe-inspiring vistas and a sense of Hawaiian history.

wonderful experience and great tour guide!! Shout out to Kenny!! I would definitely recommend this to my family back in CA
I booked the Waimea Falls/North Shore tour through Bright at Atrium, and Robert was our driver and guide. Robert was incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly cares about giving people a good experience. He really goes the extra mile and shared a lot of helpful information throughout the day. He definitely loves to talk, which makes him perfect for this kind of job because you learn a lot along the way. Unfortunately, because of the storm alerts and strong current, we were not able to go into the waterfall, which was disappointing but completely understandable for safety reasons. The botanical garden was still beautiful. We also stopped at the North Shore market area, a beach, Dole Plantation, and had lunch. The lunch was actually one of the best surprises of the tour — very affordable and delicious. I do think it would be nice if lunch were included in the tour price, since it would make the overall experience feel more complete. Overall, I really enjoyed Robert and would absolutely recommend him as a guide. He is warm, knowledgeable, caring, and you can tell he genuinely wants his guests to have a great day. For a future visit, I personally might explore some of these places on my own, but I’m glad I did the tour this time and had Robert as my guide.
Great tour. John was a great guide. Takes you to a lot of cool spots. The shrimp truck was great. Waimea falls was awesome but recommended hauling ass up the mountain so you have more time to swim! Would recommend this tour to anyone and think the price is extremely reasonable for the experience and transportation around Oahu.
Great tour . Cover what the advertise . Our guide was very good . Charlie. He made the trip enjoyable
Rob was our tour guide. He kept us laughing and attentive to his stories for a full day tour. Love these tours given by natives of the area. They have the best stories and details you'd never learn from a book.
So fun! Definitely pack water, towels, a change of clothes, and some snacks…it’s a long day! The waterfall was beautiful and the stops were great 😊
The guide was VERY knowledgeable about everything on Oahu (not just the stops on the tour)…the guide knew all of the ins and outs / secrets to make this tour ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! This tour was worth every penny…I will never forget this tour..
This was a great trip and the guide Bill was very knowledgeable. We had spectacular views. The shrimp was amazing for lunch as well. It was a fun day and it was not stressful at all due to just being able to enjoy the experience with out the driving.
This tour was very informative and a comprehensive introduction to the island. There are a lot of stops and great information provided by Tim (who's the best) throughout the day, which gave us a great way to see the island and note what we could come back and see later in our vacation. Tim was very personable and pointed out interesting aspects along the island like Obama's house, the history of the Dole plantation and countless other trivia. Recommend to anyone visiting Oahu!
Paul was the best! So funny and all the information was awesome. I asked for his advice where would be the best place to ask my girlfriend to marry me. He said I got you don’t worry. He took video and photos of the whole thing in front of the waterfall! I can not explain in words the memory he made possible. Bless you brother! Your amazing at your job!
I had a great time with Paul as my tour guide. We arrived at every destination in a timely manner and safely. Paul was very informative on Hawaiian culture and every destination we stopped at. Mahalo and definitely book!
Had an amazing time touring the island. Our tour guide/driver Paul was the absolute best. Very knowledgeable about the island with great sense of humor... will definitely recommend
We enjoyed the tour especially the tour guide Paul was awesome ! Recommend ! Really great time. Loved it. Wonderful locations.
Paul gave us an absolutely amazing tour in Hawaii! 🌺 He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the island. He made the whole journey comfortable, fun, and memorable, sharing great local insights and taking us to beautiful spots. Highly recommend Paul to anyone visiting Hawaii—he truly made our trip special. 🌴🚗✨
this tour was not only amazing but will forever be memorable. all the sights, all the information was so great!! but the best part, was when my boyfriend proposed at the beautiful waterfall! and PAUL, being the amazing guide he is, he helped my boyfriend plan it!! Paul was nothing more than awesome!! I will recommend this tour to everyone because of Paul!! thanks Paul, we are forever grateful!
Paul is the best tour guide ever!!! And the locations were beautiful and so well organized. Had a blast! Paul is also hilarious
If you don’t want to drive to the Waimea valley and still want to see the botanical garden and/or swim at the Waimea fall (water conditions permitting), this tour might be a good option for you. In addition, you will have a chance to stop by a few local spots for a short ocean view break or for some local food. And the tour guide Ian was great. I also liked the short clips they showed on the bus regarding the Polynesian culture.
A really enjoyable trip with tour guide Ian who provided history of the island mixed in with local matters and a lot of humour which went down well with all on the tour. A must for all visitors is to experience this journey and would certainly book again.
Driver talked about ancient history for 7 hours non stop. Could of told us more about the sights we were passing. When playing music and weird videos, it was extremely loud.
This was one of our best tours and would highly recommend. Our driver was John and guide Kanamu, both very kind and professional. Kanamu was the best guide we ever had (and we have been on hundreds of tours). Kanamu was very knowledgeable and funny, she held my attention the whole tour (8 hours). Just a wonderful and beautiful person.
Tim is an amazing tour guide who provides wonderful antidotes during a full day tour of Oahu! Tim pointed out all the celebrity homes, Hollywood movie highlights, took us to epic sightseeing vista points, gave us plenty of time to explore Waimea Falls and Botanical Gardens, and took us to multiple eateries. We ate and enjoyed a lot!
My husband and I came to Hawaii for our honeymoon for the 1st time. We immediately met Stanley by the Hyatt Place and we booked our tours with him. Stanley gave us the best deals. I highly recommend Stanley he is the best, very knowledgeable and is very honest. The places we visited was the Lu'au, Island tour and the Haleiwa Shark Tours. It was so worth it.
Great! Good way to see the whole island in a day. Not long at each stop but if you want to get a general feel of the whole island this is a great tour.
Great guide and a wonderful way to see the island. I know there’s so much to do but would have liked to stop to shop locally. Overall very enjoyable day.
Lots of places visited, although due to time, didn’t stop at all of them. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny
This tour promises on all levels. Paul was a great and passionate tour guide, showed us the beautiful places and gave clear explanations on the Hawaiian history and culture. I enjoyed every bit of it. The hike to the Waimea waterfall was a very nice discovery. I would recommend this tour with eyes closed.
Great tour to learn more about Oahu. We stayed in Waikiki which is big city. The other side of the island is really beautiful and more tropical. We enjoyed that side of the island. Caps was our tour guide and was amazing. Very knowledgeable and informative. We greatly appreciated the history lesson
Pleasant but unexciting overview of coast. Waimea Garden is very touristy and underwhelming as a “waterfall swim experience”. Think would have been better to go into Kualoa Ranch or Halewa instead. Driver was 25 min late in morning and in return had to double back for people who did not get off on their stop making us stay on bus longer.
Wow out trip was AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! Our tour guide Bill was GREAT, OUTSTANDING, KNOWLEDGEABLE!! Definitely a must do tour!! I'll definitely be using them on my trip back to Hawaii!! Thanks
It was mind blowing. It was very informative and interesting. My favorite part was all the movie clips.
John our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. He knew the ins and outs to make the trip very efficient. It was super fun.
It was a wonderful tour of the other side of Waikiki. Our tour guides John and Eric were great, we learned many things about the Island and they took good care of us. Highly recommended!
This trip is an awesome way to see the whole island. We scheduled it for our first today and glad we did. It was a whole day trip with a delicious lunch, well planned stops and terrific tour guide who shared his knowledge of the island and culture as well as personal preferences for great places to visit and how to get around.
Cousin RJ was the best. Friendly, knowledgeable, and kind person. His love for Hawaii is contagious. He made everyone feel special.
Excellent tour of the Island! Tim has a lot of great knowledge to share about the history of the Island and Hawaiian culture.
Well worth the money. Ian our driver was awesome. All the cool stops at the macadamia plantation and the door place was excellent. Can't believe how much fun I had at The falls
Really the only thing that , I would consider a downside was the traffic. Other than that, it was very enjoyable. Our guide RJ was very professional, friendly with a healthy dose of humor!
I wish I could give more than 3 stars-almost a 4 but a couple things others should note. I booked this tour because the stops and itinerary as stated in the description. When confirming, I was given a different tour name-Hidden Gems and Waimea Falls. When I questioned, Go Tours Hawaii said it was the same-they run both. We had a bus meet about 0.6 miles away, so no hotel pick up, and we didn’t not do the Pali overlook stop-which I looked forward to. Instead we did a donut stop, good, but not why I booked the tour. Paul, our tour guide, was friendly and informative and we tipped him well despite the missed stops. Overall a good day, but not exactly what we had booked.
We had a great time on our tour. We were able to see many spots around Oahu, all in one day. Our driver, Ian was amazing. So knowledgeable and very funny. He made the drive around Oahu very enjoyable and memorable. Thanks!
This was our favorite tour during our 9 days here. We got to see so many sites! Loved the blowhole and the falls and valley were beautiful. Eon our guide was the best! His knowledge and humor made the tour even better! We never felt rushed and had lots of bathroom breaks. Also a nice stop for lunch. Would definitely recommend this tour!
There were some beautiful scenes. The Dole Plantation is really just a shopping area. You don’t get to see the plantation. Our driver Cap was knowledgeable. But the anti Americans really was frustrating. Especially when he wants our money and that’s the only good thing he would say about Americans
We had a great time on this tour. It was easy to book and pickup at our hotel was a breeze. We learned a lot about the island and saw many beautiful sites. It’s a great way for first time visitors to explore and see what they might want to do later. Rocky was an excellent tour guide.
Excellent trip with very knowledgeable local tour guide and driver Charlie, who knew everything about the island. Got to know us all on our small group of 11, very friendly and funny.
It’s an all day tour, but it is worth it. Get to see a lot of the island that you don’t usually see. Rocky was a great narrator and kept things interesting. To the Waterfall at Waimea Valley was a nice stroll about 25 minutes each way, paved.
This bus ride takes you to historical landmarks. The waterfall in Waimea is breathtaking, and the trail is like walking through paradise. We visited the Dole Plantation and ate some whipped pineapple ice cream. We visited the Macadamia Nut Farm, where they actually grow their own macadamia nuts. The whole trip was scenic on both sides of the bus. Oh make sure you ask for Charlie he has a big screen television that narrates every stop with fun pictures and historical facts.
I traveled solo, but I had a great time! The tour guide, Elika, and driver, Eric, were fantastic! I learned so many fun facts I had to start taking notes lol!! Very worth it! I definitely learned so much about Oahu and Hawaii and saw some wonderful views. 🌺
We ended up not being able to go on this tour because Viator let us book the tour with our hotel as the pick up and drop off point, except the tour operator would not actually pick us up there. Viator also refused to give us a refund or find another tour for us to do that would pick us up at our hotel.
Kanamu was an excellent tour guide & kept us entertained for the whole day. She was patient & her knowledge of Hawaiian culture was inspiring. Eric was a wonderful driver. I would definitely take another tour with them!
Excellent day trip with well thought out route and stops. Elika was our guide, who shared plenty of information on Hawaiian culture. She kept the conversations interesting & had all of us engaged. We learned plenty of Hawaiian words and the alphabet! We enjoyed sampling macadamia nuts at the farm along with coffee and enjoyed a refreshing coconut (available to purchase). Lunch was at Tanaka Shrimp, and the meal was pre ordered so we optimized our time. The waterfall & the Dole pineapple farm was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour.
