Oahu: Mauka Warriors Luau Honoring Polynesia's Forgotten History

Fabulous time! The food and entertainment were incredible and the pick up/drop off service to Waikiki was perfect! Would highly recommend to everyone!

This was a beautiful and very educational experience. We were greeted, given wonderful drinks to try, we’re able to see how a hog was cooked in the ground, and hear stories of both Hawaii and the Polynesian islands. The dancers were sweet, kind, and easy to chat with as was all the staff. The food was great. The entertainment was fabulous. It’s apparently a new venue and group that has performed for about 2 to 3 years. I would highly recommend this over anything in the hotels or Wiki Honolulu area. This was much more realistic and very well done.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was more than just a show. There were many things to do before the show. The food was AMAZING! The show itself was first class. The performers are incredibly talented. I would do it again. Spend the extra money for the best package to ensure you have seating up front.

Pick up and drop off were easy. Guide was great. Luau on the other hand was not. The food was absolutely horrible. Everything was cold. Not a hot item in sight. The salad dressing congealed. Ended up not eating any of it. The entertainment was cut short due to weather. We left at 7:30 instead of 8:30 because it started to rain. We did not get what we paid for.

We try a different luau everytime we go - normally the show is great and food is bad or show is ok and food is great… but at Mauka, the show and the food were both great! It’s definitely the best we have experienced. The pre show events were good and well organized, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. They courteously accommodated food allergies (which I was not even expecting). We had a great time and enjoyed the food. They take tons of pictures (for free!) for you to download. I definitely recommend this luau above the many others we have done. *we also used their transportation from waikiki and found it very easy to navigate

This was a lot of fun and entertaining. The food waz good and a lot of it. They had various pre-show activities. The show was great.

Amazing! I’ve been to several luaus before. But none like what we experienced. The allotted time before the performance was well spent - interacting with the performers teaching us in small groups how to make leisure, braid palm headdress, play drum instrument, twirl the fire wand, take pictures . The buffet was decent. The performances were amazing! The various cultures were giving time to perform their dances. The fire warriors were awesome!

It was an amazing time. The employees were fun and professional. They succeeded my expectation and we will absolutely be going back! Thank you for the wonderful memories and delicious food.

We were a multi generational group celebrating anniversaries. Hospitality was stellar. Lei’s were beautiful. Gift was nice. Activities were enjoyable. The food was great. Flavorful. Even eating mostly vegetarian there were plenty of choices. The show was impressive and well done. The sound level was very high at times. The family voted this one of our top island experiences.

It was amazing and ALL the staff were so incredibly friendly. Very impressed with how well it was done. I can't rate it high enough.

This was the best luau I have ever been to in Hawaii and I have been to a couple. It was so organized. Many activities and the food was delicious! The show was outstanding featuring many Polynesian islands. The fire dancers were fascinating to watch. You won’t be disappointed.

Pickup spot was very clear based on the communication from the company. The tour guide and bus driver were great. The guide was very informative and was great at setting expectations about our upcoming experience. This luau was well beyond my expectations. The dancers were excellent, the food was great and the overall experience was entertaining and so very enjoyable. I can't wait to go again.

It was a great night. I loved that they provided great transportation to & from the event from our ship port that was extremely efficient & timely. The event itself moved swiftly & efficiently from segment to segment. There was never a boring moment & things did not drag on as they do sometimes at luaus. Dancers and costumes were amazing! Food was standard luau fare. A variety of vendor booths were available for customers. Free shave ice & a beautiful koa necklace was provided.

It was OK. Food was absolutely horrible. Nothing was hot/warm. Our show was cut short or rushed because of rain. It was my daughters first luau. We were told it would be over at 8:30 but actually ended at 7:30.

My husband and I really enjoyed this Luau. I searched for a while through kauai and Honolulu to find just the right Luau. I went as far as you tubing different luau's . We were looking for a Luau that: 1) An authentic show that portrayed Polynesian history, 2) Buffet looked really appetizing and presentation was pleasant 3) Environment looked and felt beautiful 4) Had plenty to do before show With the Mauka Warriors we received all the above and more! They made sure everything was as nicely hosted as possible. The staff was so helpful and pleasant the dancers were out of this world !! They were talented and beautiful and exciting!!! They pulled a pig out of the ground and demonstrated how they prepared it as well as what they do afterwards We can't say enough about this wonderful luau, was not disappointed in the least. Would highly recommend it.

Great activities to choose from, so try to pick about 4 and commit to those chosen 4. Take loads of photos. Take your own alcohol to the venue - I missed out so that was most unfortunate. Queues for drinks get long so maybe stack yourself up as you are only allowed 2 drinks per person in the free drinks.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The dinner was delicious, the amenities were great, and the show was fantastic!

We had to watch the show from our neighbors cell phone right in front of our face, she never put it down once. She even made two FaceTime calls. Such an inconvenience. It's a shame people can't just be in the moment and enjoy the beautiful show. Completely ruined our experience.

It was absolutely amazing!! Food was great, show was incredible!! Very well organized. Several cool activities!!! Definitely sit in the front section.

Great show, lots of food and wonderful venue

Had a great time! Got to learn about and have a quick immersion into the Polynesian culture. The men and women performers were super talented as well as gorgeous. Food was delicious and plentiful too! Highly recommend!

We had a nice evening. The preparation of the pig roasting was interesting, Hulu lessons, if you wanted to participate. They made palm crowns/headbands. The meal was a buffet with roasted pork. The show was very entertaining.

Amazing experience! Beautiful show. The food was great! It was mine and my husband’s anniversary. They had everyone celebrating an anniversary go on stage; Memorable to say the least.

We had a great time! We came to Hawaii with no concrete plans and after winging it for a few days, decided to book some things. So glad we chose this one! My group all had a great time. The men and women performers were beautiful and talented. The food was delicious. The show was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Excellent show! The performers we're impressive and the whole experience was fun. We enjoyed being celebrated for our anniversary.

Regardless of your food preferences, there was something for you. Vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians, ketogenics — you can eat all you want. I particularly enjoyed the wild rice, Okinawan sweet potatoes, and vegetables, but fish, chicken, and pork were all available. But go for the show.

We attended the Luau as part of an overnight stop at Honolulu. Company provided transportation (cruise port pick up). Activity was colorful, full of entertainment and excellent food (I was particularly surprised on this element). Luau is very cultural and something any Hawaii visitor must attend and experience. The activity and organization was perfect.

It was a great experience booking the Laua with Viator. The entire experience was so rewarding and the Warrior was awesome. The activities, the food, booking was easy. Our bus Big Sexy 3 was amazing, the driver and Cousin T made the ride so much fun. We booked other things to do also. I hope to come back to Honolulu next year so see ya then! Mahaola!!!

Great show great experience!

It is a phenomenal show, the historically native attire was very colorful. And the narratives given of their history was informative and elevated the performances. My wife and I loved it and hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to do it again. Thank you Warriors.

Excellent luau, very engaging and entertaining. My family visited from Detroit and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive activities, food, Aloha atmosphere, attentive staff, and cultural explanations during the exciting show.

I had high hopes for this. Booked the Moi experience. Received a text right before the event that alcohol wouldn’t be included and it was BYOB. Gave us a 10% discount because we couldn’t cancel and chose the cheaper package without drinks. VERY TOURISTY. I very much wanted a more authentic experience.

Loved it! All of the dancers are so talented. We enjoyed the journey through all the islands through the art of dance. We had a great time! We highly recommend this luau!

This much more than just an abundant luau dinner and entertaining show. There are demonstrations, opportunities to make headpieces, get a tattoo, have professional pictures taken, details of roasting a pig and the traditional way, and more. We had a great time and were thoroughly entertained from start to grand finale. Even the short rainfall did not take away from our enjoyment.

Great food, activities and entertainment! Kids loved it. We got tattoos, braided crowns, lei’s, and had a great time.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed this luau! We opted in for the transportation option and it was completely worth it. We were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel which made the experience a breeze. The dinner was amazing and we enjoyed all the different food offerings. Would definitely recommend this luau if you’re visiting Honolulu!

Best experience ever. Part of me feels as though it should of costed more although I am very grateful it didn't. Everyone was so amazing and talented, the food was just amazing, the different activities was so cool. I would go again and recommend anyone and everyone I know.

Perfect for families with kids!.. well organized and delicious foods. Everything about it was amazing. Even a sudden rain fail didn't slow anything down. All of the staff and entertainers were great.

This is by far one of the best luaus we've ever attended. From the beginning where they picked us up until the end when we were dropped off, entertainment at its finest. 👍👍 A great part was how they included the audience not just like all the other luaus, they added special touches which really left an impression on me. It touched our hearts on another level.🫶🏽🌺 The show itself was amazing. Such beautiful performances from all the dancers. Definitely the biggest fire performances we've seen at a luau. It was breathtaking 🔥❤️🔥 The food was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be back. Mahalo 🤙🌺
