Oahu: Ko Olina Deluxe Whale Watching Sail

This was a great experience! The boat is quite big and easily fit the 16 passengers on our tour. Captain Quin, Keoni, and Jesse were a great crew! Very friendly and quite knowledgeable about whales. We were able to see several whales and some were quite close to our boat! The free drinks were a nice plus. The overall experience was top notch!

The boats are large, they offer drinks and snacks. Can move around the boat, sit or stand. Can go inside if needed.

We were so lucky in the trip that we took this February the 24th. In just over the 2 hours we were on the water with Captain QUIN, and cremates JESSY, and G. we had the pleasure of sailing with a large pod of hump back whale many of which were breaching out to the water and some came up relatively close to the boat. Thanks to Hawaii Nautical and the amazing crew and captain we were able to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat without disturbing them. This was our second tour. We also did the Waikiki whale watch which had beautiful coastal views of Honolulu but we did not see whales. Our second one was the free rescheduled ride. The west coast of Oahu is immensity beautiful and I would highly recommend that over Waikiki. The ocean was less busy with boat traffic. As a bonus on the way back to shore we got to witness the crew land a yellow fin tuna which was an amazing unplanned bonus!! The coastline was also cascaded in a beautiful rainbow welcoming us safely back to shore. Special thanks to the cap & crew of the Ko Nau Lani this was our last activity we did before heading back to the airport to embark home. It was a magical send off. Thank you for the great drinks and amazing experience.

We (10 adults) had a great time on this tour. Captain Quinn and his crew (so sorry, I’ve forgotten their names, although I think one was simply “G”) were terrific. The boat was large and comfortable. We knew they couldn’t guarantee whales but they did find them! We even saw 2 breaching. I would recommend this to friends and family members.

Our Whale watch was the best trip of the season!! Whales were coming to us! We were literally surrounded by whales! Such a great experience! Captain Jesse along with the crew Jessy, Keoni, and Lily gave us so much facts that I never knew about whales and the ocean in general!! Overall great experience! Thank you so much!!

Great crew with a lot of information, plus got to see a whale breach and a lot of whales surfacing. The boat was clean and the drinks were good.

Booked with Viator which was about $40 cheaper than booking at the hotel! Honestly, savings aside...it's totally worth the cost. The crew on Sunday, 1/25/26 was very accommodating and nice. The view was amazing and we had a great time! We saw whales and dolphins and the captain caught a huge tuna. You get 2 drinks and snacks included in the price which is a bargain in itself. Love the boat! Plenty of spacing and tables to enjoy the adventure. 🥰

We had a great time on this whale watching excursion. The staff are awesome and you’ll definitely see some whales. They do a great job sticking around and anticipating the best locations.

Super fun and so many whales!! There’s crew was amazing and it was an overall blast. The trip was about 2 hours long and it was the perfect amount of time to get the full experience.

Right out of the harbor, we saw whales in Wai’anae boat Harbor. Crew was great and the drinks were too per person free what else? What else? What else? What else? What else for 100 characters

The staff made this experience. We enjoyed the boat and the views. We saw a back and a fin, but who cares! We are on a boat in HI?! Plus the drinks were delicious. My husband and I will book this again. Also, I was worried about getting g se sick and, no issues.

The overall experience is amazing! We only saw 2 whales, but that was enough! The crew was great! Don't want to sound like a broken record, but I'll do it again!

We had a very nice time. The weather was beautiful the boat great the guys were friendly and informative. We saw three whales at a distance, one was a baby, but the dolphins on the way back were amazing. We saw a whole pod of spinner dolphins that came right up to the boat. They stuck around long enough to get multiple pics even interacted with us by sticking their heads out of the water and waving.

We saw so many whales and dolphins, crew was great and helpful, not too crowded, nice music, we had the best time!

Mahalo to the captain and crew! We live on the island and wanted to take a trip to see whales to the west side! And we were blessed seeing so many. The caltain and crew were amazing, always walking around asking if someone needed anything, super kind, very knowledgeable about the land and ocean and all around a 10/10 experience. The crew is fantastic! They provide excellent service and are incredibly knowledgeable about whales. They always search for the best viewing spots, and if you're lucky, you might even see them up close near the boat. It's truly an unforgettable experience!

The crew was terrific! Knowledgeable , friendly and fun. Besides humpbacks, we saw a hammerhead. Had a great conversation with Anthony about among other things his tohono o’ohodom ancestry in Tucson.

We spent most of our time looking for but not finding whales but we hit several close sightings at the end and that was only possible because the crew was willing to go 15 minutes beyond the scheduled 2 hour schedule

Was billed twice for the tour and was not given a refund by Viator. Never trust this company. Customer support was rude and spoke broken english. A good tour but terrible service by Viator.

It does not get any better: great boat, great crew, great drinks and lots of whales due to the crew’s diligence. The west coast and Waianae Mountains are beautiful!!

A lovely cruise with a small group of people. Everyone had a beautiful view, and could spot the whales. Staff was excellent, two drinks complimentary.

Great experience for our family of 6 adults, ages 25 to 80. Highlight was seeing a momma whale with her baby. Crew was professional and very safe. Well worth the price of tickets. Would definitely use this company again. Be prepared to remove your shoes before getting on board the boat. Also there is not a sign for the tour company at the marina, just look for the large catamaran.

Crew was nice and safe. It was a beautiful day. I expected to see a lot of whales. We saw a few mostly from 1000 yds away. Kinda underwhelming. They served drinks even though drinks were not supposed to be a part of the journey. They also stayed out longer in order to fish which cut into our evening.

An excellent experience. The crew was great; friendly, helpful and informative. Saw several whales. The catamaran was large, with space inside and on the front decking. Don’t the put off by the appearance of the marina parking lot. It’s a bit rough around the edges. The cruise was professional and well done.

I’m local so kinda snobby when it comes to choosing a touristy excursion. But as a local, this was the perfect choice for us! I had friends visiting from the mainland so we made the trek from Kailua to the west side… and we had so much fun! We had some awesome wildlife sightings, including a brand new baby humpback with his mom, and a rare sighting of rough tooth dolphins - plus a couple of juvenile sea turtles. Captain Nick along with his crew of Caden and Quin took great care of us and were full of knowledge! Highly recommend this catamaran on the west side!!

Captain Nick, Quinn and Caden were great. We didn’t see whales yesterday and we received vouchers to book it again. Today we saw couple of whales, considering early season it was worth it. Drinks are good and boat is clean.

Followed one whale coming up for air, surfacing the top of its body and tail and sailing with dolphins beside us. Enjoyed drinks served and effort made to find other whales.

Great crew, fun experience. Saw a lot of whales backs, tails, sprays. Didn't get lucky to see a bridge. Free cocktails for adults made the trip even better :)

We saw whales quickly, it was pretty impressive. The crew was super fun and entertaining. We had some rain and the captain drove us out of it. The "down" time was still nice, they threw out a couple fishing rods just for something else to do. Definitely book this crew and tip em well.

We went out of Wainae/Ko'olina harbor. The tour was canceled due to not enough people so we went a few days later. The water was rough, expected during January, it was an peaceful ride which I enjoyed along with my 5 and 9 year old kids. We did get to see two whales a momma and a baby and some great scenery. The whales were really cool to see. I wish we could have gotten closer but Hawaii laws doesn't allow that, you have to stay I believe 500 yards away. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Oahu.

Crew was nice. Children allowed by parents to scream and run all over the boat. Wasted time retrieving their hats when the crew made it CLEAR to hold onto them or put them away. Wish they offered an adult only tour - that would be fabulous.

Such a fun time and good drinks! The boat was really nice. We saw a momma humpback and it’s baby. There are other parts of the island that I think might be better for whale watching though. The description said the boat could fit 40 but they’d only have 26 on board, but there were definitely more than 40 of us on that boat.

This is a wonderful experience from every angle. The crew was friendly and helpful, you get two free drink tickets per person and the drinks were great, and they really work at getting a good view of the whales while also respecting their space (I believe it’s the law, but still important). We had the luck to be visited by a few dolphins that wanted to ride our wake as well. It was incredible.

We were set to watch whales and there there were dolphins as well, an unexpected surprise. Jesse an his crew, were very friendly and they knew where to find the whales.

We had a great experience on our whale watching trip. The boat was a little smaller than I was anticipating for how many people there were, but it was fine and I feel like everyone was able to see. We saw some dolphins and then they took us out for a while and tried to get us to see a whale. We finally were able to see one. I feel like they really tried to make an effort to make sure we saw one which I appreciated.

So much fun!! It’s late in the season for whales, which I knew already, but I’m so glad I took the chance and booked it. Jesse, Quin, and Sienna were awesome. Great crew, amazing experience. Thank you guys!!
