Oahu North Shore Small Group Tour: Scenic Views & Local Food

It was great to experience Oahu outside of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. After the tour you are very familiar with the entire island.

PERFECT tour with just enough stops and info. I HIGHLY recommend it! MUCH better than the larger bus tour I went on the last time I was here. If I get back here with friends/family, we will definitely take this tour!

I will always book small groups after this tour. We loved the attention we got on this tour from a knowledgeable guide. He didn’t follow an impersonal script . He shared his iwn personal experiences with places on the island and took time to connect with us. He is awesome!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and he took us to some stops that the locals go to. We got to try delicious treats and snacks along the way.

A fantastic experience. Stephanie took us round the island stopping at additional stops and giving us a locals history and perspective. Nothing was too much for her- taking photos for us at each site and letting us have shorter or longer as we wanted. There was only 4 of us on our experience (us and another couple) making it extremely personalised and private. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Our experience today was one of a kind.

Such a great tour, Jonah was an amazing tour guide and gave such interesting artifacts! The food trucks had so many options and were delicious.

Not worth it limited and not interesting

From pick-up to the last stop on the tour was seamless. This was our first time on Oahu, so we wanted to see some of the well-known attractions on the island. This did not disappoint! Allen was our driver for the day, and he was great! He provided knowledge about history and the culture of the island. Don’t think about it, book it! You won’t regret it!

Stephanie was great. She left no stone unturned about Oahu. I liked that she was able to hit the highlights but also customize it so we could see Oahu through her eyes. Overall, it was well worth the trip. The food was so good along the way. We had a great night's sleep after we returned!

We had a wonderful tour with Stephanie. She is incredibly knowledgeable on island history and keeps things fun and light! The pace of the tour was great and we got to see so much of Oahu that we wouldn’t have been able to do on our own. Highly recommended!

I appreciate that our driver was knowledgeable, kind, and intended to show us his idea of the best of the island. However, I was disappointed that we deviated from the itinerary that I signed up for. If you choose this tour, you may wish to confirm prior to departure that you will be taken to all of the stops that are listed.

It was a very small group of 5 of us. The pace was very relaxed. The driver was interesting. I think one stop was not on the list. He said that there were sea turtles. It was great. He was right. There were sea turtles. I could only spot the head but it was wonderful.

This tour was a beautiful drive with a driver that provided information regarding every area we went through. She was accommodating and made the trip enjoyable. We had a great time and would recommend this tour.

Picked up from our hotel on time and had a small group in the van (7 of us total). Alan was a great guide and even though we had a quiet group, he kept right on giving us the information and kept us on schedule. We didn’t want to spend the entire day on a tour so this was the perfect amount of time. It was raining most of our tour (a light drizzle) which ended up being great for us because none of the stops were crowded including the North Shore food trucks!

Great time. Guide was very informative with local knowledge. Small group was beneficial. Great sites to see and plenty of time to view them all because I wasn’t driving.

Our tour was great, the tour guide was local and knew everything there is to know about the island. I highly recommend! It was a small group tour and you could openly ask questions throughout the tour.

Tour was very slow and didn’t cover as much culture as we would have liked. Had a lot of stops very early then few the rest of the way. Great if you don’t want to move around much and enjoy being in a car all day. Would recommend just renting a car and doing it on your own instead. Cheaper and you get to decide where you spend your time.

Great trip around the Island, much better than driving yourself. Our driver even made an unscheduled stop and found us some turtles in Haleiwa.

Our guide was completely unenthusiastic and treated the island’s most impressive features, like the mountain ranges, as if they were nothing. There was almost no explanation or storytelling about the landscape or history – just plain boring introduction of what's in the area. And constantly asking at most of the check points if people “wanted to stop for photos,” which meant the experience was driven by whoever in the group shouted first. Unsurprisingly, most participants weren’t interested, so we ended up skipping Koalou mountain scenery, turtle beach, and Haleiwa because of that. This question should never have been brought up by any tour guide.

This tour had the perfect amount of stops to see! We probably would not have seen as much without it. Our guide Stephanie was kind, knowledgeable and funny. She made the tour that much more enjoyable! A definite must do!

She arrived on time and our driver was very friendly and gave us a lot of information on where we were going and what we were seeing.

Do not recommend. There are no meaningful stops along the way, and the introductions provided by the guide were not insightful. Basically a Uber ride.

Stephanie was an excellent guide. We learned and saw so much. Never rushed us and gave us some choices as to whether we stop or move on. Would definitely do this trip again. Mahalo, Stephanie.

Alan was a terrific guide as we toured most of the island. He is a native Hawaiian and related many stories of the beaches and small villages we drove through. Trip was most enjoyable. It was the perfect length. We visited the blowhole and made several short stops for shopping or eating . It was the amazing waves at the North Shore that were the highlight of the trip..

Our north shore group tour was excellent. I really enjoyed our tour guide (Stephanie?) who provided local details that enhanced our understanding of each location visited. Our group was small (6) which allowed us to see a few additional places not listed on the itinerary. Enjoyed seeing turtles up close too! My only preference would be to begin at the Dole Plantation and work back. By the time we arrived there, we were too tired to take advantage of all the things we could have done there. Very satisfied with this tour overall.

John was our host and he was fantastic. We booked the small group tour but we're the only ones on it! He took his time and tailored everything to our needs. We saw so much and learned so much history about everything we saw. Lots to eat, from malasadas from Leonards to Dole whip from the Dole Plantation. What a wonderful way to spend the day exploring the Oahu island. Alan took us to many popular and off the beaten track sights. We saw several small towns, very different from the hustle of Waikiki. The North Shore provided us with 20 foot waves, mesmerizing! Would love to do it again

Was a small group as advertised. Driver was pleasant tho nothing extra. Monotone with his info, but also forthcoming. The van was a bummer. Older, and we sat in the 4th row of five, and it was the most uncomfortble, bumpy, and loud ride you can imagine. Our biggest complaint is that the tour advertises a lunch stop at the famous North Shore Food Trucks, including the World Renowned Giovanni's. That didn't happen. We were informed that "they're not as good as they used to be", so they chose another "better place". We ended up at a single food truck, with four options and was in an alley a couple miles away, literally next to the garbage cans. We were wanting ALL the options of the other space, i.e. Shrimp and chicken stands Hawaiian Ice stands, Crafts and the colors and fun of the whole space. We were also informed that most of "those" food trucks were closed on Sundays anyway. HOWEVER, we drove by them after our less-than perfect lunch, and they were ALL open with plenty of activity and customers! Overall, the day was hugely dissapointing. Would not recommend.

Well paced tour and appreciated that the van was not at full capacity. The guide Stephanie was very informative and great.

Driver, John, was great, friendly, knowledgeable. Beach stops were beautiful, interesting. Too many retail shops for too long. More natural stops would have been better.
