Oahu Catamaran Snorkel Tour: See Turtles 100% Guaranteed

The crew was wonderful and helpful. The boat was nice and clean. My 5 year old drank a lot of salt water during the snorkel and the crew were kind to take care of her. Overall great experience. It was magical to swim with turtles and we got a bonus with dolphins riding alongside our catamaran.

We went snorkeling with Kahala Kai this morning and had such a great time! Everything was really well organized, from booking to getting off the boat. Captain Karim was very welcoming, and our guide Mia was awesome! She was funny, friendly, and knew so much about the reef and turtles. We spent about 30 minutes in the water and got to see lots of fish and sea turtles, which was definitely the highlight! I’d recommend booking an early morning tour. The boat can take up to 30 people, but there were only 9 of us, so it felt much more relaxed and not crowded at all. Overall, a really fun experience with a great crew. Would definitely recommend!

This was my favorite thing we did in Hawaii! Krash is such a great captain/guide and you can truly go out into the water feeling safe and secure (they provide all the equipment and give you instructions on how to use them, as well as to be safe). You get to swim with a ton of fish right up by you, and even some turtles may come your way! Below you can see a lot of eels as well, but they won't come up near you. By the time I was getting bored of swimming (about 45 minutes), it was time to get back on the boat and go back. So I feel like it was the perfect amount of time to swim. I would definitely do this again if I came back to Oahu! Best experience for a great price!

This business had snacks & drinks for everyone on board and we had a great time. My husband loves turtles and he was really happy with this adventure :)

Captain Kareem and Lucy were fantastic and gave our family a wonderful experience! Our daughter got a little too scared once we got in the water, but they took her back aboard and reassured us she was good while the rest of us went out. We saw lots of turtles and had a great time. Our son was in awe of the experience.

Great boat and crew, not crowded, snacks and soft drinks provided, no alcohol which was a plus for us. Abundant sea turtles to swim with and numerous fish. Good equipment, clean. Guide swam with us and made sure we saw plenty and everyone was comfortable.

Enjoyed the experience. I am not a strong swimmer , am 80 yrs old and was nervous about snorkeling, but felt the “girls” were really good watching over all of us . I loved it!

The whole experience was great. We felt comfortable and safe with the entire crew as it was our first snorkeling adventure. Liza, Lucy, and Captain Krash were Awesome and watched over everyone. We saw multiple sea turtles, various schools of beautiful fish, a ray made an appearance, and even surprised by a group of dolphins jumping and spinning out of the water.

We truly had the most amazing experience! Shannon, Mia and Gary were more than helpful and made it an experience we would never forget. They were very kind and informative and we saw SO many turtles!

Krash (with a K) and Lucy were great. First time snorkeling and felt completely safe. Lucy kept our group together in the water and Krash even took care of my daughter when she got a little seasick. Definitely would do again.

Captain Crash and his crew were very personable. I am a very timid swimmer, what put me at ease was his emphasis on safety. I was able to get in the water with confidence knowing that him and his crew (Lucy and Megan) were there to guide me and the other snorkelers. We saw several sea turtles and other beautiful school of fish. When we come back, I will definitely be using Oahu Catamaran again.

This trip was a great experience for a great price. The crew: Lucy, Shannan and Krash were wonderful and very knowledgeable. The area of turtle cove is filled with beautiful fish and sea turtles. The snorkeling was great, good equipment and resources. A free snack and drink were provided. The area was a bit crowded with other boats and tourists, but the overall experience was delightful.

We had an awesome time, the crew (Shannon, Lucy and Karim) were amazing - easy-going and fun, but also very professional and great with our young children. The snorkeling experience was fantastic - lots of turtles and interesting types of fish. Organisation was sharp and hassle-free.

Super awesome boat and guides to go snorkeling

We enjoyed our time very much. We had two grandchildren 15 and 12 we've never snorkel before. So it was a wonderful experience for them. They can't wait to do it again. We felt very safe and very well organized. I highly recommend it.

This should be a life requirement for everyone. Capt Krash was full of knowledge and experience. We knew and felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. Deck hand Shannon was also amazing. Amazing views!! Crew (Krash, Mia, and Riley) was so friendly and made sure we knew what to do in the water. “Turtle Guaranteed” was so true plus a great look at ocean life and environment.

The weather disagreed a bit, but the crew made sure the experience was still a great one! Margaret and Lucy made sure to call out all the turtles in the water to give everyone a chance to see them. Very fun snorkeling experience. Safety is highest priority so if you want to go out in the water make sure you know how to swim. Recommend to take motion sickness pills beforehand just in case.

This is such a wonderful boat and crew, we HIGHLY recommend them for any excursion. We went on two in one day, a turtle snorkel and a sunset sail on a Friday night to see the fireworks. Both were incredible. Crash, Liza, and Mia were awesome on the snorkel adventure and stayed with us in the water making us safe while showing us the wildlife. Crash and Mia made the sunset sail so fun and comfortable that night. We even had rough seas and Crash took us into the harbor to enjoy some smooth sailing for a bit before the fireworks. It was the most enjoyable thing on our trip so far, our whole family had a great time. I can’t recommend them enough, we will 1,000% be back.

If you’re a non swimmer please DONT BOOK. Don’t waste your time and money by booking with them. I called trip advisor a day before I booked confirming if it is safe for me to do the snorkel tour even though I don’t know how to swim. They said it would be perfectly fine because the crew will be in the water with me ensuring my safety and how I will have floatation devices as well which will allow me to still enjoy snorkeling and seeing turtles in the water even though I don’t know how to swim. When I showed up the captain of the boat said the complete opposite from what TripAdvisor told me, and had told me instead that I had to stay in the boat the whole time to ensure I’m safe. He said I would be able to see turtles and marine life from the boat so I thought it wasn’t going to be as bad, but I genuinely saw 0 turtles. I requested a full refund because of my terrible experience and the false advertisement that was provided and instead I was reimbursed less than 40% of my total paid. I spoke to a trip advisor operator and they apologized for the misunderstanding on their part, but when they tried to contact the Oahu catamaran tour operator (Scott) he still denied to provide the full refund. Scott told the operator he couldn’t reimburse the full refund because the reservation was completed, but genuinely what was I supposed to do just leave? Scott also denied to speak to me while I was on the phone with the trip advisor operator. It just goes to show how unprofessional their customer service is and if I were you and you’re not a great swimmer or don’t know how to swim just take your money elsewhere and book with another snorkel tour.

Great experience! Krash did a great job explaining the safety terms and making sure we all had a good time. Tony and Margaret were great with all the beginners and younger swimmers. We saw a sting ray and of course the turtles, with plenty of turtle jokes along the way. We had a great time.
