I would bring water or something to drink and maybe a few snacks for the ride. The host is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Very informative and a good time.

Overall a great excursion and Sy our guide kept everyone informed and entertained throughout. Some fantastic views and most of the scenic stops were of the right amount of time. Healthy portion of lunch as well at the shrimp shack. Feel that the tour should be longer though by about an hour. Two of the stops (the macadamia nut and dole pineapple plantation) only give a short amount of tine and are purely there for you to spend the time in their respective shops. I get it that it is an overview and you can go back to make separate visits and whilst there is not much to see at the nut farm, but at the pineapple plantation there was not enough time to really go and see the plantation itself and do the train ride express tour (20 min ride) to learn more about the plantation itself, so not many are likely to make a separate visit just for that so for the sake of adding that little bit extra time would then make this a 5 star experience.
This was a great tour. Our driver and tour guide, Si, was excellent. We learned so much about the history of Hawaii and he shared many personal insights about life in this beautiful state. But the bus was awful and should be replaced. Duct tape on the ceiling, bad shocks, and a dirty interior. PLEASE give visitors a nice vehicle to travel in for 8 hours!
Wonderful tour. We saw so many beautiful sights around the whole island. Shelley, our tour guide and bus driver was exceptional. She was so warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Great way to see island and enjoy island treats. Sy was knowledgeable and friendly. Poi donuts and shrimp lunch were the best. Dole whip treat at end was the best. Also learned why pineapples are better in Hawaii
We were excited about seeing many of the top island attractions on this tour during our short stay on Oahu. While we did drive by a lot of beautiful beaches and stopped at several, the overall experience was mediocre and very rushed. The guide seemed helpful and pleasant at first, but she got frustrated at the people in the back of the bus that were carrying on very loud conversations. She told them over the loud speaker that she was not going to talk over them, then threw her headset onto the dashboard. She did this several times over the course of the morning. Eventually they quieted down a bit. Lunch was very disorganized at a crowded roadside stand. The guide told us a few directions, but then she disappeared for at least 15 minutes without giving anyone a heads up that our food wasn't ready. The group was left wondering where she was and where we could find her. We were also very dissappointed that the stop at the Dole Pineapple plantation was very short, only allowing time to purchase a Dole Whip and shop in the store. My husband and I had skipped other options to take a pineapple plantation tour and were under the impression this stop was a full tour. I have to wonder if the guide shortened the itinerary or if it was set up to be this way. If we could do the day over again, we would not go on this tour.
We enjoyed the Sights and Bites Circle Island Tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We learnt a lot about the history of Oahu and had several stops with beautiful coastal views as well as one stop to see the turtles. Lunch was included in the tour at a shrimp shack. I chose the tempura option which came with 5 large and delicious shrimps. Overall, good value for money and we obtained a 20% discount on this tour before tax as we bought two tours from the company.
It was a good introduction to the island - the tour followed the coast line for some lovely ocean views. We managed to see turtles as well. Food-wise, there was a free doughnut and free shrimp lunch (which was nice). There was sampling of pineapple covered with plum sauce and macadamia nuts and you had to pay for the Dole whip ice cream. But the driver was very good and cheerily informative. Overall would recommend.
It was good but at every stop it was to purchase something. But on the itinerary I thought we’d be getting more samples of food
We had a great time. Lots of things to see. Our tour guide was awesome and he was kind enough to drop us off right around the ship port so that we didn’t miss our boat.. San was very friendly and knowledgeable. He is from Hawaii and shared very good information
Fantastic guide/driver! Very kid/infant friendly. We had a great time, and the AC bus with stroller storage made it really easy with an infant.
Scenic drive mostly along coast, full comentry, many stops, informed driver. No water provided, not good for a drink tour
This company stole my money. I waited for over 30 minutes at the pickup area, and then when I finally went back to my room, they called and said they were running late. By the time I walked back to the front pickup area, and waited another 10 mins, the driver said that he had already left and to take a Lyft to Diamondhead. When I finally got to Diamondhead, the driver had already left and wouldn’t pick up the line. I called several times before finally just giving up. They kept my money, wouldn’t even offer me a partial refund, and they were the ones that were originally late. Business is business, but if the driver or company hadn’t been late to initial pickup location, or at least sent a text or email, none of this wouldn’t have occurred. I still want my money.
This was a very fun tour. We really enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave some good history on the tour. Our guide was funny and energetic. The level of patience this guy had was incredible. We had some very rude people on our tour that did not keep to the allotted time and he navigated this very well. Each stop had some fantastic picture opportunities. The lunch was good and they gave huge food portions. The other snacks were small samples -which was fine considering you get a full lunch. I was really looking forward to the Dole Plantation and it was on my list of things to do while visiting the island. I'm really glad that I did it as part of this tour as it ended up being a flop for me. Mostly a gift shop unless you want to pay extra to do the maze and we thought the dole whip was included with the tour but it was extra. Otherwise I highly recommend this tour to see many areas of the island. We got to see where the film "From Here To Eternity" was filmed and other gorgeous sites. The bus was a little rough to travel in with the bumps in the road, but other than that we got to see a lot that we wouldn't have otherwise seen as we did not get a car rental.
It was a great way to briefly see all the sites of the island. Our tour guide, Shelly was very pleasant, enthusiastic and entertaining. She kept us laughing. She gave us info of local sites and “where to” and “how to” places throughout the trip. It was a very filled day of sites. All were beautiful, many were breathtaking!! It gave us an intro to know where to go back to spend more time. Both my husband and I truly enjoyed our day.
This was a very fun tour. My kids really enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave some good history on the tour. Each stop had some good picture opportunities. My kids enjoyed getting to go to different areas. The lunch was amazing and they gave huge food portions. The other snacks were small samples. The only part I could have done without was the pineapple dole plantation. Mostly a gift shop unless you want to pay extra to do the maze and we thought the dole whip was included with the tour but it was extra. Otherwise I highly recommend this tour to see many areas of the island.
So fun. Shelly was our guide she was fun and very informative!! Great way to get your souvenirs while supporting the locals!
Just finished this 7-hour circle tour of Oahu and it was very poor. The food was very poor and minimal, and the driver mostly just talked about their kids and other inane subjects. It felt like being stuck on a 7 hour flight next to a chatterbox. And they only stop at tourist traps. We regretted taking this trip.
Shelly was amazing and funny.
Tour driver extremely knowledgeable and on his game, very personable. Lots to see & experience. Highly recommend! Food experience was great. Took us to see a nice mix of island views and sights
Avoid this company at all costs! Booked the circle island tour and then was offered a two for one coupon for a luau if we sat through a presentation. A travel website is presented, with falsified information and which is basically straight out fraud. High pressure sale tactics are used, you are not given time to verify any of the information presented, and then you sign up for something that is worse than what is available for free. The "membership" is just access to a website that shows fake comparison prices for travel (hotels, flights, etc) that you have to pay $2500 for "access" to these "wholesale" prices, plus an annual fee. When we realized we had been scammed we requested our membership be cancelled within the time frame usually allowed under buyer remorse policies. We were then ignored, ghosted, told to "prove" the inconsistencies (which we did) and gaslight that we didn't know how to "use" their website. We have posted a complaint against the company with the BBB. We also had had to cancel our credit card to prevent them from further charging their fees to us. Please, please, please do not get involved with this company! We never went on the tour, decided to spend our money with a more honourable company when we were in Hawaii.
Our tour guide was very informative. He discussed the history of the island and the other islands. Along the way, he showed us the beach access for the locals and let us know that it would be a real "Hawaiian" experience to leave Waikiki for the day and drive along the coastline to check out the beaches and the pipeline. He was very patient with a few of the tour people who always showed up after the given timing to leave. Always a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Great at providing historical facts and seems very passionate about Hawaii. This is a must see and a wonderful experience with the local food through many food samples.
This was a full day of fun. We did a nice loop of the island, hitting a lot of beautiful look out points. The driver was fun and talked about island history and fun facts.
No food. But good tour. We saw all kinds of places and the driver was really funny. Beautiful area of Honolulu, we saw the north side and west.
Our tour guide was Chelsea who took us around the Island. She was very sweet and knew a lot about the Island. The Mcadamia farm and Dole Plantation were visits to gift shops rather than seeing anything in particular. The rest of the tour was great and we got lucky with seeing the Turtles at the beach which was amazing. The tour is a great opportunity for tourists to explore the island outside of Waikiki.
Before booking, make sure you get a tour with the smaller bus. On several occasions, our tour guide said the large bus is too big to pull into many of the spots. My personal opinion, our tour guide was absolutely awful, seven hours of her talking about herself and laughing at her own words that were not funny at all. She spent more time talking about herself than educating a bus full of passengers on the Oahu Island. She spent the last half hour talking about all the food she likes and her favorite restaurants and missed a great opportunity to educate us on Aloha Tower and many of the historic relics of this beautiful island. She even scared the passengers away from Chinatown and possibly offending the Asian passengers.
50 guests had purchased the Island tour 09/30/2025 - and 50 guests were cheated out of the first 2 stops because the bus could not park at Diamond Head Lookout and Halona Blowhole Lookout. 50 guests will not receive a refund for the missing stops and Aloha Hawaii Tours will not bother to respond to complaints! They laugh all the way to the bank! IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS COMPANY CHEATS THE GUESTS!
Really nice trip and well organised, Sy our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about all our stops. Would highly recommend!
Although the driver/guide shelly was wonderful and funny. I found the tour to be a waste of money, we did go to a couple of beautiful sites, the majority of the tour was spent going from gift shop to gift shop. We saw nothing of the macadamia nut farm or the Dole plantation except for the gift shops. Overall it ended up being a waste of a day.
Our tour was amazing ! It really was a great day to utilize the day. We got a chance to see beautiful sights & if you’re looking to get away from the busy Honolulu traffic; I strongly suggest this tour. The donuts were delicious
Excellent tour. I accidentally booked this tour as I was looking for a more boutique experience. We loved it. Shelley our driver was excellent knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved the places she took us to and the food was delicious. At no time did we feel part of a cattle call. Well done.
I would highly recommend this island tour. Shelly, our tour driver, was excellent! She shared information of all the sights in an extraordinarily friendly fashion. Thank you Shelly!
stop don't use this company driver talked for 9 hours the whole time she said she was going to teach us about the island for 9 hours if I showed it we wouldn't go on this trip and then the driver couldn't stop at several places because the bus was too big don't use this company
This was a great tour. Our tour guide was happy, considerate and so informative. I learnt lots about Hawaiian history and culture, and the scenery was to die for.
I had fun seeing and tasting different things our guild was great and very informative such a beautiful drive around the island
We loved the tour and Auntie Annie , our driver ! She is so sweet and Knowledgeable! Highly recommend this tour . You will enjoy and not regret going.
The best driver, Si, he was awesome. Great lunch, the salt and pepper shrimps were amazing. He even helped us find chocolate pineapple at the Dole stop. A definite 5****( due to the driver and his great personality .
Our guide was really friendly and informed. He did a great job of entertaining and informing us for the length of the tour. The small tour bus was packed full of people. The AC was able to keep us cool, but struggled at times. Great sights and the Dole Plantation and its history was unbelievable. I’d do it again and recommend it to others.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The destinations on the tour were excellent, and the tour guide’s information added extra depth to the tour which was invaluable. I’d highly recommend this tour.
Even though the tour was nice, it took us to many spots that are really free that don't cost anything to begin with. We did get a lunch included $15 value, couple round donuts, the guy selling it to us by this Hyatt century named Nathan, said that it was an $80 food value that simply is not true. Lunch at food trucks did not even include a drink. He said that we would get something at the Dole Plantation, which we did not. Total food value $20. Also told would get a list of cheap local restaurants? He never gave us that..
Si was a great tour guide! Being a local Hawaiian, he was very knowledgeable of all of the places we toured. He gave us enough time to take pictures and explore at each location. Would highly recommend!
This was a great trip, with a charismatic and knowledgeable driver/host and just the right number of passengers (22). The scenery was great, stops welcoming and food great! The only problem is that the roadway could use a new surfacing!
We had a really great experience. Auntie Mary was the driver and she is the nicest as well as very knowledgeable about the Island she made the experience so much better. We appreciated everything we learned and enjoyed our time! Food was also very enjoyable.
We had a great time yesterday on tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. The places he took us was beautiful. Lunch was great. Would definitely recommend 100%.
We felt the tour was rushed, we would have preferred longer for lunch as we only just finished eating and it was time to go, which was sad because there were local specialty stalls at the prawn farm which may have been of interest, not even enough time to buy an ice cream. Longer at the Macadamia factory and Pineapple farm to learn about the processing of these products, not just the gift shops. The bus is really old and run down, the A/C was terrible, holes in the walls patched with contact . We also would have liked less personal history from bus driver Sigh and more Hawaiian history.
Our driver / hostess Chelsea was wonderful! A great speaker and doled out her knowledge of Hawaii, Oahu, Honolulu, language, culture and local events in a robust and clearly audible way (I wear hearing aids and heard every word she said!). We didn't just drive around the island. We knew where we were in relationship to our departure area (Waikiki Beach) and were informed on what to look out for at each turn and stop and even what to come back and do for the rest of our trip. Additionally, our "Bites" portion of the trip included stops to sample foods, fruit, nut, pineapple at the Dole Plantation and a stop for lunch. I strongly recommend Aloha Hawaii Tours - Sights & Bites Island Tour and especially Chelsea!
It was such an amazing experience the driver Shelly is amazing! So sweet nice funny and shared the best stories/info. She really went out of her way to make this experience above and beyond for us all. The shrimp truck was so tasty I recommend the salt and pepper shrimp with the spicy garlic butter on the side!
The tour was ok but nothing much. There was nothing exciting to see. Visited a few gift shops, a Macadamia and a pineapple farm, but could not see the farms but had time to visit their produce shops only
Chris Pickel - one of the sales representatives for this company was harassing my family and I with numerous text messages claiming we attended separate sales calls to get a free tour. He violated the BBB customer client confidentiality by offering personally identifiable information for someone else who attended the call the previous day. I will be reporting him to the BBB. If I could give negative stars, I would.
Our driver was a great talker and his love for his country and people was palpable. He was descriptive and informative, constantly giving us tips for future experiences and suggestions on where to go. He interspersed this with occasional talk of his beloved family. We were given history in an open, honest, thoughtful and respectful way. Throughout the tour he referred to us all on the bus as ‘Family’ which felt a honour. The views were magnificent and we now wish to return again, which was not our original plan.
