Our half day trip was wonderful. Shayne is very kind, hospitable & knowledgeable. He took the time to make sure our family enjoyed ourselves and we learned many things along the way to Hana. The sights were beautiful. We stopped along a beach that happened to have turtles basking in the sun. The black sand beach was a hit from all of the family and the many sites we got to see made this a trip to remember. I would definitely book again in the future and I would request to have Shayne as our guide.

We had a great time with Charlie. His driving was excellent and never made me nervous on the twisty Hana road. He gave us lots of information and appropriate stops for rest and viewing the fantastic landscape. He introduced us to some new and interesting foods. Charlie did a super job all around. Highly recommend!

John was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable of Hawaii, its history and its culture. He was very kind and courteous and took very good care of us throughout the day. I will request him as my guide for future bookings.

Colby customized our experience and showed us things we would have never seen or done if we had went on our own. It was also great that it was private as it allowed 6 of us to stop at places of interest rather than the places scheduled like on a larger tour. Colby showed us a lot of the plants and flowers that are edible, and that in itself was amazing.

Outstanding experience. Shayne is awesome to begin with and we had a challenging day due to heavy rain - landslides, road closures and more. Shayne made great decisions and called appropriate audibles to make the day awesome. He even moved a tree on the road blocking our way! Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I booked a half day tour and it was perfect! Our tour guide Shane was the coolest dude and gave us so much info on the history of Hana along the way. The road to Hana had breathtaking views of lush rainforests, a few cascading waterfalls, a couple of dramatic ocean cliffs. Watching the waves crash up to the shore had its own sense of calmness. Charlie was a great tour guide by allowing us at our own pace.

First of all want to acknowledge the ease in planning, booking and organizing pick-up. Now onto the experience ~ our tour guide/driver John was top notch. Extremely knowledgeable of the HI, Maui and the Road to Hana. Enjoyed his interaction with our family and flexibility with our visit needs based on interests and Mother Nature! A long day however got to see all the best waterfalls, nature surfing, black sand beaches and turtles. By the end of our tour Hohn ensured we were ‘ohana.

Seth, was an amazing tour guide and a guide can make her break your trip. You were able to stop and see all the different 10 famous spots and more.!

Our guide, Koby, is outstanding!!! He made us feel welcomed immediately and my wife and I truly enjoyed the whole experience and day! He told us the history ( the true history only a local can provide) and we were engaged in conversation and learning the entire day!! Great experience and great guide. There are not enough words to express how incredible this trip was. Melissa, our driver/guide was beyond phenomenal- friendly, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. She was a skilled driver and a wonderful conversationalist. Every stop made the trip enjoyable and memorable. Melissa led us on a short hike on a bamboo-filled trail at the beginning- fun and beautiful! The banana bread, fresh coconut, macadamia nut brittle, huki huki chicken & ribs, coconut milk ice cream, & organic chocolate we had were worth every calorie! The views were spectacular. By the end of the day, we felt we had a cousin & our daughter had an auntie in Melissa. ❤️ We highly recommend this trip!

Levi was beyond amazing !!! What a day and what an experience !! Of a lifetime !! And the food !!! Sadly we did get rear ended not our drivers fault however we sat for an hour of our trip dealing with it and I feel like the manager should have checked on us and maybe followed up better .

We had a great time on the Road to Hana with our personal guide Levi. He made it more of an adventure for us we felt young again. He picked us up at our hotel and he was knowledgeable about the island of Maui. He took us to some cool spots where we were able to cliff jump. We ate lunch at a local road side BBQ and tasted some chocolate and had the best jerky and banana bread along the way. We enjoyed swimming at Hamoa Beach and watching some of the best surfing at Ho’okipa Beach. Levi was very accommodating, polite, and fun to be around. I’m glad we decided on having a personal guide that safely drove us to see the sights on The Road to Hana. I’m still smiling thinking about our adventure that day it made our visit to Maui fun!

Absolutely brilliant day discovering the Road to Hana with Melissa. We withered about whether to drive it ourselves but am absolutely delighted we chose this tour. Melissa picked us up from our accommodation and her knowledge and enthusiasm for the area, the plants, the history were instantly apparent. She gave us loads of options for stopping places to make the day our own but having her do the driving not only made it so much more relaxing but we learnt lots more and she helped sift through the different options so we rrally made the best use of our time. Highly recommend this tour for a big day out.

John was amazing! Fun to speak with, very knowledgeable and was all around a great guy. I went with my mom and 2 children and we all had a ball! 9 hours just flew by! The roads are extremely windy, so being Dramamine if you get motion sickness! And definitely an extra pair of shoes

We took our tour with Melissa C. It was amazing. In the course of a day, she became like family. She was so knowledgeable about all of the sites, knew the best places to see, and was so great with our kids. This was a highlight of our trip. Melissa was very professional, went above and beyond at every stop, and taught us so much about Hawaiian culture. We could not recommend the trip and her more!

Shayne was our wonderful guide for our Road to Hāna Adventure. He is a personable young man who truly loves Hawaii. Took us to some great private stops you would not get on a cruise shore excursion or large bus tour. We got a real flavor for the locals in Maui. It was a beautiful way to experience Maui. 2 couples who throughly enjoyed the day.

We had a great time and saw so many beautiful sites on our Road to Hāna trip with our tour guide, John. He taught us so many things (including some fun new techniques with our camera) about the land, the people, the wild life, etc., it was a truly fascinating day. John was also very accommodating and sought our input on the things we were interested in seeing. We stopped at Hāna Farms for lunch and it was delicious! We are so glad we decided to use a guided tour for this trip. The road is very demanding and this way we were both able to enjoy all of the views and felt much safer! Highly recommend John and this tour!

This is a great tour. My wife and I have disabilities and the tour was customized to our needs. Our guide, Koby, was super-knowledgeable and very helpful. This tour can include foraging in the jungle, if you like. The food was very good.

What a fabulous day! Our guide, Charlie, expertly navigated the Road to Hana while sharing his knowledge of the area & stopping to show us all of the beautiful highlights. His recommended lunch spot was spot on-delicious tender chicken & sides with a beachfront view. It was obvious he enjoys giving tours. We had a wonderful time with our guide, Shayne!! We did a VIP private Halfway to Hana tour with Shayne, and he was knowledgeable about the area, took us to the best stops, and was very patient with our group. We were traveling with our 2.5 and 4.5 year old daughters and Shayne has seemingly limitless patience and good humor, both essential when traveling with a toddler and a preschooler! Although we would have loved to do the full Hana tour, with our kids that was just not feasible. This was definitely the next best thing and still amazing. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

We had a great trip to Hana, although it did cause some nausea with all the turns, so make sure you bring motion sickness patches or bands! We saw so many beautiful beaches and landscapes, we had delicious food at the famous bbq stop and our guide, Charlie, was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed talking with him and he was a great guide for the day. One thing to note though is that if you choose to be picked up at your hotel, be aware that you may not get to stop at as many locations if the hotel is a considerable distance from the car pick up. Although we had a full day and were exhausted by the time we got back, I feel there were moments we rushed through some stops and other stops we probably passed by because of time constraints (because of our pick up and drop off location). While we did make a bunch of stops, I also feel like we were in the car for a long time. I recommend discussing pick up location and how it may impact your tour before the day you set off. Other than that, it was a great tour, we had a lot of fun.

Charlie was a great tour guide. We were a little worried about driving the Road to Hana ourselves so we booked a private SVU with Experience Hawaii. The booking was seamless. Charlie picked us up at their central pickup location and we started from there. He was very knowledgeable but didn’t not make the tour a history lesson. He was able to read the vibe of our girl group and matched this energy to what we wanted. He drove the road like a pro and was careful to ask if we were feeling ok. We stopped at great places and were able to stay longer at the places we felt like staying at. The tour guide makes the experience and Charlie definitely did! Would highly recommend not to drive yourself!

JOHN was amazing! Super knowledgeable and very considerate. He accommodated our complicated group so well. Some of us wanted adventure and others of us couldn’t physically do it all and he made sure to give us the best of both worlds.

John was a great tour guide for our full-day Road to Hana trip. He was very effective at catering the tour to our needs. His ability to build rapport with all of the individuals in our group really enhanced the experience. We ran into bad weather after lunch. With all of the hairpin turns, managing oncoming traffic, and continuing the tour I was impressed at his driving skill. Excellent tour; highly recommend!

Our tour guide Ida was amazing. He was very informative about the island and the culture. Showed us all the local areas and made it very enjoyable. The community of Hana is an absolute breathtaking way of living and their family dynamic is amazing. This is so worth the tour. Also, the drive through the multiple waterfalls and scenery is absolutely stunning. You do not want to skip. It was beautiful even during the start of the hurricane and in a flash flood. Adding this for those that have been told it’s super curvy and if you get car sick don’t do. I personally have severe car sickness and I did not get sick. It can be curvy and uphill but most of the curvy you are stopping looking at the waterfalls so it prevents sickness. Hope this helps!!!

My husband and I are in Maui for our honeymoon and this was our favorite thing we did while being here. It was such a great choice to do a more intimate experience with just the 2 of us. Our driver David, was amazing. He was truly a vibe and made the experience more fun.
