So much more than I thought it would be. Everyone had a great time. Wouldn’t miss this while on vacation. Fun for the whole family. Open bar. 3 course meal. Top notch staff. Two and a half hour show. The entertainment was extraordinary. Intimate crowd size. The Andaz is a beautiful site to have this show. Could not have been better. Money well spent on my vacation in paradise.

The show and our server were awesome. Conner rocked it
Great experience. Excellent service and personable!
Amazing experience! Sunset was incredible. Service was amazing. Learned so much about Hawaiian culture
It was our first luau and we had a great experience. The show and staff were amazing we even met 3 other couples from our table and had great conversations. Definitely recommend!
Great experience! Ryan took great care of us!
I wanted our last night in Maui to go out with a bang so I booked a luau at the Andaz resort. Other luau's we've attended were packed with hundreds of people with a sad looking buffet inside some building with the show starting 1-2 hours later. This luau was not that...located outside on the grounds of the Andaz Resort this luau stood head and shoulders above the rest. You are greeted with cold drinks and a lei, then there is a photographer who will take photos of you free of charge (you can upload the photos for free as well). They also had a temporary tattoo station where you could get a tattoo put on with ink and a homemade stamp with hawaiian designs on it. The luau includes unlimited drinks throughout the night. And instead of standing in line at a sad buffet, they bring out the food as a 3 course meal. The food was delicious and plentiful. There is singing and dancing throughout the whole evening that starts at 5:30 and ends around 8:30pm.
The Luau was impressive, offering excellent food with a bit of everything on the plate. The show was quite good, and our server Steven was friendly, enhancing the experience. I highly recommend going.
Amazing, intimate cultural experience . The Nararator was very informative on the history of Maui and the dancers/music were wonderful!
Had a great time, food was good, scenery amazing, entertainment great!😊
Absolutely beautiful show with a stunning backdrop. Food and service were both fantastic
We loved the Feast at Mokapu Luau in Wailea from start to finish! Very friendly staff, amazing food, lovely show! Valet parking is available at the front of the hotel. My husband had some mobility issues and valet staff was quick to offer golf cart transport to the luau. Very much appreciated!!! This luau was located right near the beach on the grass. Seating was great - small tables of 8-10 people. Food included a wide variety of appetizers, main course, and desserts. Loved that the foods were very traditional. Everything was delicious and portions were good size. Waiters brought food to the tables so no need to get up and serve yourself. The hostess of the show was lovely. Dancers and musicians were great! I would definitely recommend the Feast at Mokapu Luau to anyone wanting an authentic experience!
This was a great luau. The hotel was so nice. The food was good and our waiter was so accommodating to an allergy. Great experience and worth the splurge for the premium table alone.
We loved the luau! The music, dance and storytelling were wonderfully done. The servers were friendly. The food was good though the portions could have been bigger for the price of the event. The setting was beautiful on the lawn next to the sea where the son was setting.
Performance, location and staff were great. The food mediocre…the dancers and music and open bar is worth it. Not worth the upgrade bc all seating is fantastic. Gorgeous views and backdrop; very fun! Unbelievable sunsets
We have been to Hawaii 3 times and this was the first time we have been to a Luau. We truly enjoyed it. We did pay for the VIP seating. The food was good, the show was good Conner our server was amazing. He explained everything we were eating in detailed. Overall an amazing experience.
Not good. TripAdvisor did not provide our reservation info to the Maui Andaz. As a result our premium seating was not available. We were assigned to a back table sitting all alone. To their credit, the Andaz were ultimately able to make things right. I would caution, however, anyone making reservations through TripAdvisor to double check with the resort, as we relied on the confirmations received from TripAdvisor that obviously were meaningless.
Beautiful location, beautiful sunset , wonderful staff. Food was amazing , adult cocktails were amazing!! Great memories that will never be forgotten!!
This was a last minute booking for us but it turned out to be one of the best things we did. It’s pricey but the yummy menu, great bar, wonderful program about the islands’ history, and other extras made it totally worth it.
Absolutely beautiful luau with the sunset in the background of the performance. Pics included with professional photographer! Food was very good and plentiful. Amazing performance and fire show. Truly a perfect end to our time in Hawaii. Expensive but worth it in my opinion.
I have been to many luaos on the island and this one is by far the most entertaining and informative about the culture. Very well done and the food was absolutely amazing.
The event was extremely high priced. It was $240 for a adult ticket and $140 for a child’s ticket. The event was boring. All they did was talk and dance. They did not engage with the audience or have any wow factors in their show, it was more of a tutorial lesson and historical message compared to all of the other luaus that I have been to. I felt like I was in a high priced lecture with poor food and good drinks. This one was the most boring luau I’ve attended, and was definitely not worth the price for four tickets. I spent almost $900. I did not enjoy the experience at all. The best thing about this event was the drinks and the photos. I would like a refund.
5 out of 5 Wonderful show and very tasty food. Ryan is the BEST host/ server EVER
Truly enjoyed the Luau. Highly recommend. The food was very tasty. And the staff was awesome!!!!!!!!
We booked premium seating with a private table for 2 and had the most memorable evening of our 30 day vacation! I will say, any table, whether private or shared will provide a wonderful view of the ocean and the show, so don't worry. The food was delicious. The service was good. The drinks were perfect. The show was absolutely incredible!!! We did a luau somewhere else the next night and wasted our money. We should have returned here instead. This is a Must Do!
Everything about the experience was top notch. The organiation of it all, the food, the people, the layout ... they had a free photographer that posted the pictures on a website, can download for free or buy larger ones. They had henna tattoos for fun (and free), upscale bar. But the best was the music, singing, dancing, and story telling. So amazing. All of it!
Excellent show. Food was great.
It was a beautiful evening, great performance, loved to hear a little Hawaiian history paired with lovely dancing and music. Drinks were great and the food was nice to have a variety of many different dishes. It was kind of pricey given that there were tons of other tourists standing on the beach near us watching the show for free too.
Well !! From the valet to the grand final makes a very special occasion a night to remember the host the music great an amazing shows our servers and last but not least delicious dinner !! Scenery was a night to remember and everyone and everything that made our night special
We attended the Feast at Mokapu Luau during our stay at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, and overall had a good experience, though with a few notable drawbacks given the price point. One convenience worth noting is that reservations were not required far in advance—we were able to purchase standard admission tickets just three hours before the event, and there were still empty seats available. The beachfront setting is beautiful and the event is open to those staying in nearby hotels. The total cost for two adults, including tax, came to approximately $620, making this one of the more expensive luaus in the area. Seating is arranged at shared tables, which may or may not appeal depending on your preference. Prior to the show, guests can enjoy an open bar (with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), complimentary photos, and traditional Hawaiian-style temporary tattoos. These extras were a nice touch and helped set the tone for the evening. The event is advertised as running from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM; however, the actual dinner and show ran from about 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and the event—including the open bar—concluded at 8:00 PM. This shorter duration was disappointing, especially at this price point. Service was a highlight—our server, Sabrina, was attentive, friendly, and contributed positively to the experience. The show itself was engaging, featuring a mix of male and female performers. The fire dancers, who closed the evening, were by far the standout performance and a memorable highlight. As for the food, each guest is served a pre-plated sampler of various dishes. While it was decent, it was not particularly memorable or exceptional, especially considering the cost. One additional consideration is that the event is visible from the surrounding beach and resort areas. Onlookers were not restricted or addressed by staff, meaning portions of the show could be viewed for free, which slightly detracts from the exclusivity of the experience. All that said, I would give the experience 4/5 stars due to the shortened duration and average food which made it feel overpriced for what’s offered.
One of the highlights of our trip! Very authentic. Food, entertainment, service, and ambiance was amazing. Highly recommend.
First and foremost, thank you for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Attending the Luau at Andaz was nothing short of extraordinary. It was meant to be the perfect finale to a wonderful vacation on Maui and it exceeded every expectation. Given the abundance of Luaus across the island, the competition is undeniably strong. Yet, in my view, the Mokapu Luau at Andaz Wailea is worth every dollar. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking. Being welcomed personally with a lei and escorted to a table set against the backdrop of the ocean, under the vast Hawaiian sky, sets the tone beautifully. A brief introduction follows, offering guidance on the evening’s flow, from the bar to the photo opportunities and beyond. Shortly after, my host, Zoe, introduced herself and guided me through the culinary journey, thoughtfully inquiring about any allergies or dietary preferences. From a gastronomic perspective, the experience was exceptional: a diverse and complete menu rather than a limited selection, all presented with remarkable attention to detail. The absolute highlight—without question was the dessert. The evening unfolded alongside captivating local music, traditional dances, and storytelling. It was immersive, authentic, and wonderfully presented. The entire team contributed to an unforgettable experience. I still get goosebumps watching the videos I took. I would like to extend special thanks to the team. Service can vary greatly across countries and cultures, but I was genuinely impressed by the precision, elegance, and attention to detail demonstrated by Zoe. Her complete mastery of the menu, her thoughtful drink pairings, her eloquence, and her genuine care elevated the entire evening. She consistently went above and beyond, setting a remarkable example of excellence. It was an absolute pleasure to experience such a high standard of service. Andaz should be incredibly proud to have such a talented, experienced and gracious team member. Zoe is certainly not the only standout. I would also like to recognize Eric, David and Cosmin for their outstanding contributions. Cosmin, in particular, went the extra mile by taking time after the event to engage with guests and thoughtfully gather feedback. Each of you did an exceptional job. Thank you once again for a truly unforgettable evening. It will remain a cherished memory for years to come. All the very best.
We did the premium seating. Amazing service and food. The pork during the second course was the highlight. The MC was amazing and the show was thoughtful and entertaining.
This is the best luau I’ve ever been to. The sun is setting behind you as you enjoy cocktails and delicious food. The MC does an amazing job of telling a story while an incredible band players. Great Hawaiian music. The dancers perform an amazing show. The vibes are immaculate 10 out of 10 would recommend. It’s rare I smile that much!!
Educational, but not entertaining. Food service was very slow, taking 45 min between courses. Food quality was poor. Lots of people left their tables before the Luau was completed.
Great how and fantastic staff but the food is terrible. Definitely not worth the price you pay. Go somewhere else if you can.
We were looking for a more intimate luau and we found it!! Each detail of the experience was amazing. From the arrival cocktails, photos with a photographer at sunset and the food, delicious. The show was truly wonderful. Narrated by a woman and told the stories of the migration of the people from Tahiti. Dancers were perfect and we were done by 7:30. Worth the drive from Kapalua.
Three acts told powerful stories—from ancient navigation to Maui’s chiefs to the lively Paniolo. The fire knife finale? Electrifying. The food was just as memorable: fresh, local, and beautifully plated. Standouts were the ‘Ahi Poke, Kālua pork, and Chocolate Haupia Cake. It wasn’t just a show—it was a heartfelt celebration of Hawaiian culture.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Luau. The location overlooking the ocean is magical. We were surprised to learn there was a professional photographer there offering complimentary photos. The food is plated rather than a buffet and very good. Probably the best kalua pork I ever had though we would have enjoyed seeing the pig prepped and removed from the pit. More than enough to eat…come hungry! High quality drinks from the bar including authentic Trader Vic style mai tai’s. The show was lovely and slightly less commercial than other luaus we’ve attended. Is it good value? No. It was a very expensive evening and the service was not as good as we experienced at other Andaz venues. However, you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I had an amazing time but we did feel the Lu’au entertainment was average and overpriced for the quality of the show. We have been to other Lu’au’s in Waikiki, paid less than this Lu’au and enjoyed the entertainment more. The things we did love about this experience, the food and beverage selections was great and the sunset and scenery was breathtaking. A photographer was on site and took a great complimentary picture with the beautiful scenery in the background. My husband consumes meat and I am Vegan/Vegetarian. I was able to request a food selection that accommodated us both. The actual show and entertainment felt a bit average. For the cost we were hoping for an experience that would be memorable, something we could talk about for many years to come. The show felts a little flat and underwhelming. Recommendations to improve the experience might include making the show more interactive. We attended another Luau in Waikiki years ago and it included an interactive segment where guest could stand and were taught a few moves. Our group truly enjoyed the inclusive experience. Overall we had an amazing experience as the resort is amazing with beautiful views and the food was amazing as well as the service staff at the show. The show just felt a little flat for the price of the experience.
The performers and service staff all did amazing. The food was exallent and the sun setting in the background at the beginning of the show just set up the experience for a knock out show!!!
The luau at the Andaz was great! Right away when you enter you are greeted with a lei to get into the ~alohq~ spirit. There were welcome drinks and a photographer to take complimentary photos. There was also an open bar with great cocktails. The feast part of the luau was insanely delicious. We loved that it was a tasting menu so you could really try all the Hawaiian cuisine. The show was awesome - all the performers are super talented. Worth the steep price tag!
First time doing a luau in the south side . i never been to a luau with such small intimate crowds. it was very nice going to the bar and it took a few seconds to get a drink and not have to wait in long lines . the entertainment was on point and worth the money . I would definitely come back
Beautiful show, my dog eats better food. For $ 630.00 for 2 people, the quality of food and how it was prepared should have matched the price we paid. Just too expensive for what they served.
Beautiful dancers, great story telling, Staff are amazing .food was super disappointing . The price is out of control. ln my opinion if you’re paying $660 for 2 people you feel taken advantage of if you can’t eat the food. Chicken was so dry it was inedible , meat was fatty, pork was ok, mahi mahi was not fresh caught. I’m told Salmon lomi lomi is a Hawaiian dish but there are not salmon here in the Islands so how? If I had known better I would have gotten dinner at one of the other restaurants and watched the show from afar. I really wanted to give a good review just can’t!
It was a great experience to know witness their wonderful culture, food and drinks were amazing. Thanks
Amazing! Everything from food to performances and even nature having a hand in making it magical with the sunset! Would absolutely recommend for honeymooners! Super special and Hawaii specific. Every bite of food was absolutely amazing!
Atmosphere was excellent. Setting was excellent. Dancers were good. Food was average at best. Open bar was decent. Service was good. It was about $50-$80 over priced unless you drink a bunch then it is priced about right. Food was disappointing, but the time and day fit our schedule.
Overall was a nice luau. Food was good and drinks as well. Entertainment was great too. The only thing is in no way should this have cost @$300 each person. I bet they don't pay the Entertainment anywhere close than one fee and they're the ones who deserve it most.
Beautiful setting! Loved trying some traditional Hawaiian foods. Show was perfect against the sunset and ocean. Service was great. Preshow activities were enjoyable for my youngest.
