Odds are you will be having a tour with one of the owners of the farm. You will be welcomed with a vanilla infused beverage upon your arrival. There will be a short introduction to our farm and Hali'imaile history. I light walk through the farm to our vanilla shade structures and we will take you through the difficult and timely process from the vanilla vine flowering to extract. In addition to the vanilla you will also learn about some of the other products we grow on our farm including Lilikoi or Passion fruit. Finally end the tour back at our covered patio for a vanilla inspired dessert.
This was fabulous! Clay and Candace are lovely and so knowledgeable. We learned lot and it was so interesting to hear and see everything they do there. This was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it!
Great experience, beautiful farm, very interesting to see all of the works in progress - not just vanilla production but fruit trees and growing agrotourism enterprise. Everything you ever wanted to know about growing and producing vanilla.
This was a fantastic tour. Owner Clay spent a lot of time walking us through the fascinating process and history of vanilla growing and harvesting. Very friendly, informative, and tasty(!) offerings. Highly recommended.
Great place, wonderful tour guide. The entire experience was outstanding!! The farm was at their home, very clean and efficient operation. They treated us like members of their family. Served us home made cheese cake and ice cream made with their Vanilla! We are grateful for their kindness! We recommend this tour!!!
Wonderful unexpected tour! We missed the tour and we were shopping in the store and the owner dropped everything and shared how the vanilla is grown and harvested! We were able to go into the grow house and see the vanilla bean too. We had no idea what went into growing a vanilla bean! She was friendly and passionate as well! Highly recommend this amazing experience!
This was our first time visiting the Maui Vanilla Farm and we’ll definitely be back! The owners are great - personable, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The farm is clean and new and easily accessible in a lovely location. The tour itself was informative and the gift shop had wonderful souvenirs to take a part of the island home with you. Excellent samples were provided to taste as well. Highly recommend!

Candace and Clay are extremely knowledgeable and they explain everything throughout the growing process. We learned a lot and thought it was very interesting. You get a welcome drink and then some desserts at the end. Very delicious! Definitely worth the time and money to come. Plus the drive back down is beautiful! You have panoramic views of the island. Just fyi, no bathrooms, only a porta-potty. It wasn't a bad one I just wished I had gone before I went.

Such a wonderful experience! We learned so much about growing vanilla beans and the vanilla industry. This tour included a delicious vanilla beverage, two vanilla desserts, and some hands on activities! We could not have felt more welcome, and everyone in our group found the tour interesting and enjoyable— even the teenager!
This was a great tour & I’m so glad we decided to take it. Candace & Clay were wonderful. We had no idea how much labor is involved in growing vanilla! The cheesecake & ice cream at the end were amazing. Can’t wait to try some of the vanilla powder in my baking.
This is a small but amazing operation and the owners/operators (Clay & Candace) share a terrific amount of history & knowledge about vanilla. Great time for the whole family of adult children (& grandson)! Would completely recommend!
This was a wonderful and such an informative tour. The owners were friendly and it was a relaxed feel. The samples were absolutely delicious! They have a nicely stocked gift shop too. My family was impressed and I strongly recommend this to anyone who loves vanilla!
The Maui Vanilla Farm Tour was amazing! I had no idea what went into growing a product that I use regularly. I have been to Maui many times and am so glad I found something so unique, beautiful and full of aloha. Not only was the tour amazing, the people behind the tour and the grounds are super amazing as well. I love this part of the island and it is well worth the trip - although it is so centrally located that it’s not far from anywhere. Let me talk about the staff for a second - the research, passion and energy that they have put into their farm is unmatched. It was inspiring to hear of their passion project from taking this idea in their minds to “fruition”. They have literally built everything for this production from hand. And, there are bookend surprises that will tantalize your sense of taste. I’m going to leave it at that. You will have to go on the tour to understand what I am talking about - you won’t be disappointed!
Maui vanilla farm is a wonderful Excursion for friends arriving from out of town, or just an afternoon to go support your local farmers. Candice and Clay are a Hospitable couple, very knowledgeable and truly ebullient in their Joy of vanilla farming. We loved our day there
Absolutely the best tour ever! Great hosts and awesome explanations. So much I never knew! We were there for 2 1/2 hours for a 90 minute tour. Loved the food and I learned so much. Easy walk.
It was very interesting experience in learning about how vanilla is grown. Amazing hospitality and personal touch from Candace and Clay. The cheesecake and ice cream was delicious! It is a must experience if in Maui.

The highlight of our trip! So glad I found this. They are the only vanilla farm on the island. Family is super informative and engaging. Feel so lucky to have gone and what a find! Gluten free, dairy free cheese cake was the perfect lunch. Passion fruit jam was amazing. Everything was low sugar too.
It was incredible! The hosts gave great presentations and took the time to answer all our questions. Learning the pollination process was fascinating. The treats incorporating vanilla they have grown were delicious. Loved every minute of it.
The owners made everyone feel welcomed and honestly enjoy sharing their home and business with the public.
My wife and I are SO glad we toured the Maui Vanilla farm with owners Candace and Clay. They were such friendly and informative hosts - telling us about how they decided to open this Vanilla farm on Maui and describing the process of planting, growing, hand-pollinating every flower, picking, drying and conditioning the vanilla pods. I learned a LOT in what felt like the company of friends. The passion fruit (Lillikoi) samples of game and butter were wonderful and we were excited to take home some vanilla beans, powder, extract, an our own extract kit. These two clearly care for their land and for providing Maui with some amazing vanilla. 100% would visit again :). Thanks so much!
We had a wonderful visit to the Maui Vanilla Farm. The couple who hosted us were incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was a relaxed, enjoyable experience and we learned a lot along the way. Such a lovely stop, highly recommend if you’re on Maui. 🌿✨
This is a must tour! So informative and owners were so hospitable! Never knew the story behind my bottle of vanilla. What an appreciation I have now for the vanilla bean! And the vanilla ice cream was to die for!
We were greeted with an iced limeade (from limes grown on the farm) to which tiny vanilla beans had been added. Though not overwhelming, the vanilla smoothed out the tart citrus and was a perfect compliment to the drink. Our tour was led by Clay, the owner. Along with his wife, Candace, they provide extremely interesting and informative tours of the farm. All the vanilla plants are grown in greenhouses and tended by hand daily. It's quite a process to go from planting to harvesting to packaging the end product, and we were taught every step. After the tour we were treated to a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream and a sample of cheesecake, both made with vanilla grown on the farm. There's a shop for purchasing merch including hats, t-shirts, vanilla powder, vanilla beans, extract and even a self-infusion kit which I can't wait to try when we return to Texas! Candace also uses the lilikoi fruit grown on the farm to make lilikoi jelly and lilikoi butter. We're taking several jars home for gifts (and for ourselves, of course). All in all, it was a great experience!

What an incredible experience. I took my friend’s 2 little girls up to the farm for a tour. We had such a great afternoon. The tour is very well curated. I had no clue the details and time that goes into growing a vanilla bean. It was fascinating. The owners, Candace and Clay have poured so much love into their farm. Did you know every flower has to be hand pollinated? We learned a lot and I was able to buy some great Christmas presents. The farm store is stocked with vanilla extract, powders, beans and more. Best part for the girls was the homemade vanilla icecream at the end. I have been telling everyone about the Maui Vanilla Farm. Highly recommend the tour!
