Always are “go to” snorkelling or whale watch company. Crew is awesome (Dakota and Jamie) and attentive. Great food and they usually put up a sail which we really enjoy.

We loved sailing with Sail Maui. We took a trip to Molokini to snorkel. The experience was so fantastic. My hubby says it was the highlight of our trip to Maui. The best parts of the trip: it was a small group of people 15-20 guests, 1 captain and 2 crew. The snorkeling was beautiful and fun but the ride was the best part! The crew were personable and happy to be sailing with us. Definitely worth doing!

The sail to Molokini was a stress reliever after we had braved The Road to Hana the day before. Word to the wise...do the sail, skip that terrifying drive. The snorkeling was wonderful...so many fish! Captain Greg, Ben, and Jay took wonderful care of us. That was the most enjoyable thing we did in Maui.

We had two amazing experiences with Sail Maui. We initially did a morning snorkeling tour to Molokini with Captain Greg, Ben and Noah. The sightings were beautiful and the crew was superb. We loved it so much that we wanted to a second and different tour before the end of our 8 day trip. Second experience was a 2 hour performance sail during lunch hours from Lahaina Harbor with Captain Noah, with Ninoah and Maggie. Absolutely wonderful experience again. In both of our experiences, we had plenty of room for us, unlike other more crowded boats we have seen around, and we had everything we needed including snorkeling equipment, beer and wine. Looking forward to our next time.

Excellent service with a smile. Great experience at sea and snorkeling in the crater. Friendly and capable crew. The sailing is a bonus over a motorboat. Would definitely plan to do this again.

This was such a wonderful experience! There were only 14 of us on this boat and it felt so personal. We all felt so well taken care of. Tim, the captain and Jake and Noah who made up the rest of the crew were so friendly and made us feel so at home on the boat. The snorkelling was great, the sailing a fun adventure and the food was delicious. I want to add that the sailing was actual sailing with the main sail and jib up and no motor on! Just fantastic! We would all come back anytime!!

We recently were invited for a kids birthday party, private charter snorkel sail on Sail Maui- and had the best time! The kids ages were young, and the crew was so helpful and accommodating to the ages and really made sure the kids were safe while out snorkeling. Bright colored noodles were available for us all to use and made it easy to see everyone on the water. We swam with sea turtles and colorful fish. The birthday girl is one lucky lady, and we were so happy to get to celebrate her on such a beautiful day on an amazing boat!

This was one of the highlights to our trip! we loved the crew and their attention to detail was amazing. Went with our 3 adult kids and they all loved. I would 100% do this sail again with Sail Maui, worth the money! Christine

WOW!! Sail Maui was the best part of our trip to Maui. We swam with sea turtles and colorful fish in two different amazing locations! Ben, Jeff, Kirsten, and crew were amazing! This trip is the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Perfect for both families and couples. A 10/10.

Such an amazing company! The food and snorkeling were amazing, and Lacey went above and beyond in her kindness for my partner and I when he felt seasick. I truly could not be more grateful, and I would recommend them to everyone going snorkeling in Maui! Also, don't be afraid to go outside of the go to of Molokini. We snorkeled along West Maui and the captain picked amazing spots, and I didn't feel like I missed out by not getting the "Molokini" experience, in fact I felt like I got let in on some amazing secret spots that were just as full of life and things to look at, with less people! The crews enthusiasm for their job is contagious.

Highly recommend sailing and snorkeling with Sail Maui! Patrick was our captain and he & his crew were amazing! I hope they continue to sail! They kept safety first, especially with COVID, were extremely nice and very educated on the area we were snorkeling in. They were very helpful and I loved that the staff was willing to be in the water for safety. We had a delicious breakfast and lunch! They were right there if we needed anything at all. Overall great snorkeling and best customer service we have ever had snorkeling! Thank you again Patrick and your amazing crew!

We went on a sail/snorkel trip with our 6 year old daughter. We can’t say enough great things about the trip! Capt’s Jason and Justin were friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions and chat. They took all things into consideration before choosing our spots to snorkel, including the weather and how many people were already there. They slowed down to let us enjoy leaping dolphins, and made sure we knew there was no rush while snorkeling. They were attentive to everyone’s needs and made a mean Mai tai! I asked my 6 year old daughter how many stars we should give out of 5 and she answered 100 stars! I have to agree. Would absolutely do it again!

There was no sailing on the catamaran. We were under motor power the entire trip. I signed up to snorkel since the ad talked mainly about snorkeling. The moment the boat left the dock around 10 AM, the bar opened and the drinking began. This is NOT a family trip although the crew said that they encourage kids to come along to "experience" the reef. I was told that it would take about 1 hour to get to the reef, another hour snorkeling and another hour to return. It took 1.5 hours to get to the reef. Sadly, there were not many reef fish and much of the reef was blanched.

What was not to love about this tour! I took four teenagers who almost had more fun than I did. We would do this again without question. The captain and mates were top notch friendly, funny, kind, and super helpful. The boat was clean and easy to walk around on, and the snorkeling at Lanai and Lahaina harbor was gorgeous, with varied marine vertebrates and corals. The final sail down the coast was relaxing and the open bar made the trip even better towards the later part of the afternoon.

The tour, the snorkeling, the crew, the boat were all great! For the price of the tour I feel we should have had better food. The breakfast was a box of mixed fruit and banana bread or a roll/croissant. The lunch was a sandwich that you had to assemble. The crew was great serving us and bringing us drinks. We would still take the tour again because of the crew.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Hawaii! Captain Bailey was awesome and super friendly to the guests and Jake was very attentive to the guests. We were able to snorkel in two spots and I got to see and swim with a sea turtle! It was pretty amazing that food and drinks were provided along with all the gear and sunscreen. All we needed to bring was a towel and our happy selves.

This was just the best! You never know what you will see but our trip lucked out. The boat, ‘ALIHILANI, was a treat. With the large width and seating in front, the ride was wonderful. The water was so clear. On the way to the first snorkeling location, a large group of dolphins joined the boat just itching to race us. Ahhhh-mazing!!! The snorkel locations we experienced were great with a large variety of fish, coral and even had bonus sitings of sea turtles and a couple string rays. The crew, Captain Patrick, Johnie, Jeff and Brit were excellent. Super helpful, kind, and attentive. Way over the top. I would do this again. Even just the boating experience would have made my day. I love this water! Best experience and YOU NEED TO GO ON THIS ONE!!! Bonus if you get any or all of this crew.

We were a party of 10 and thoroughly enjoyed our sail! The crew was extremely friendly and attentive, fetching drinks, taking trash, etc. It was so relaxing. We got luck and got to put sails up and see MANY whales, false killer whales, spinners, and I got to see a turtle while snorkeling. Snorkel spot wasn't amazing, but it was still pretty good and I did get to see a turtle face to face, so that was really neat. Weather cooperated and it was a very nice day to be on the water. Waves got a bit more as we were coming back in and several people were getting sick. Be sure to take something if you are prone to motion sickness so you can enjoy the day.

The interaction with the whales, dolphins, and snorkeling were all GREAT. Having the larger boat offered by Captain Patrick really made the trip wonderful as it was comfortable and a perfect setting. The picnic at the beach was relaxing and romantic. The sailing on the return home was a fun end to the day. The crew was great. Couldn't have asked for a more amzing excursion.

We loved our snorkeling trip with Sail Maui, which was made even more special by plenty of whale watching opportunities as well! The reef where we snorkeled was vast and beautiful with plenty of fish. The crew was wonderful - hospitable, attentive, friendly (even remembered each guest's name). Service never stopped - from ensuring we all had equipment and were comfortable with snorkeling, to preparing a great meal and non-stop beverages - it was a special day that was second to none during our vacation.

We had a great time aboard. We really enjoyed the sailing, the snorkelling sites and the attentive crew! My husband finally managed to snorkel alongside turtles! The total number of passengers aboard was surprisingly small and it made the experience that much better ! They had tons of delicious food and snacks available throughout the day. The crew was also able to tell us about all sorts of interesting local facts and information. We even got to see a whale just next to the board. Even though this wasn't technically a whale tour, they stopped the boat to allow us to view the beautiful whales! We will definitely be back with Sail Maui during our next trip to Maui ! Thank you !

When we are in Maui, we like to spend as much time on the water as possible. Sail Maui is always one of our favorite trips and this one was no exception. The boat is large enough to be comfortable, but not crowded. It is one of the few boats that actually sail which is a big plus for us. The crew is attentive and fun. They are also very knowledgeable and took us to an area where we saw turtles and many colorful fish. On the sail back to Lahaina, we saw whales. All in all it was a wonderful trip and we look forward to the next one.

We sailed on the Alihilani catamaran out to Lana'i. On the way we encountered a pod of bottlenose dolphins - so close! Planned snorkelling venue was clouded out so spent an hour or so on the beach on the island - very nice. The crew found us another place to snorkel which was brilliant. Then a leisurely trip back to Lahaina, some of it with motors off, just on sail power - vey relaxing. Oh, and we caught a whale breaching too! Along the way, the captain and crew were fantastic - friendly and great service - lunch and drinks were brilliant. This was a major highlight of our trip!

Just completed a snorkel sail with Sail Maui. Crew were Chad, Patrick and Nonnie for our trip to Lanai. The day was awesome, great snorkel location and sail to and from Lanai. The crew were extremely helpful, great customer service from each of the crew members. I would recommend this company and crew for all of your sail options in this area. We enjoyed the long boat ride with very little snorkel time however the crew recklessly disregarded the safety and security of the passengers on board in an attempt to check their personal bucket list of unicorn sightings. As unique as it may be to experience a seldom seen fish sighting I would expect the crew to take the customers experience and safety into account and not have multiple teenagers in the water without proper floatation and fins. The first mate was so concerned about herself she ignored the fact that 10 people were in the water without the proper equipment. Of course she did not care she had a mask fins and snorkel. Fortunately everyone made it on to the boat without a tragic accident. If you care about the safety of your loved ones I would highly recommend sailing with a different operation. Try Trilogy the crew to passenger ratio is higher and they put safety first.

We took the Paragon to Slaughterhouse beach for a wonderful snorkel. There were 2 big turtles we followed around and plenty of varieties of fish and sea life. Bailey, our captain, took us out into the open water for a wild ride on the waves afterward...the teens and kids on board had a great time laughing and getting wet!

We chose this trip because the winds can sometimes sour your trip. The Captain chooses the destination based on the conditions. We snorkeled off the northwest end of the island and saw amazing schools of fish. Others saw turtles. The food was a selection of pastries and sandwiches for lunch. No gluten free items except fruit and deli meat. My daughter brought a gluten free sandwich from the hotel. They served cocktails and beer. The crew was amazing. They were engaging and courteous. We boated out and sail back. I wish we could have snorkeled in a second spot but my guess is that with the winds going out, that ate up some time. Highly recommend this guide for your vacation.

We cannot thank Cap'n Ryan and the crew enough for the amazing experience on Sail Maui. They are truly the epitome of aloha. While being extremely professional and knowledgeable about everything "Maui", their easy-going, genuine personalities put everyone on board at ease and allowed for an incredible day on the water that we won't soon forget. On top of all that, the wonderful food throughout the day seemed to never end and exceeded our expectations. The snorkeling in Manele was amazing even getting the opportunity to swim with a few sea turtles along the way. We highly recommend the hike to the cliffs at sweetheart rock during your picnic lunch. It can be a bit hot.. but well worth it. We even got the chance to catch a glimpse of a 13-15ft whale shark on the way home during our sail. Cap'n and crew even did everything they could to give us more of a look by jumping into action and turning the boat around...we couldn't find it again, but the glimpse of the largest fish in the world was a fantastic surprise and still a very rare treat to go home with. If you are looking for a day of snorkeling, sailing and adventure in Maui don't think twice about booking with Sail Maui. Many Many Mahalos!

The crew was incredible. Boat was clean and well maintained and you didnt feel like you were on a big boat with tons of people. 5/5. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. ALOHA~!!!

The west Maui performance sail was a blast. Magical being out on the catamaran with the sails up. We saw whales and dolphins on the way to the cove where we saw 1,000,000 fish and a turtle. The crew was awesome. Super friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. Thanks Bailey and Bennet.

Very enjoyable trip! Captain Baily and Bennet could not have been more gracious and accommodating. When one of our kids decided to join us by the coral reef snorkeling, Bennet actually swam with her all the way to bring her to us! He is bright and caring. We would choose them again next time we are in Maui.

This was the absolute favorite part of our Maui vacation! Our captain and Ben were awesome hosts. They got the sails up right away and took us to see spinner dolphins, snorkel with sea turtles and kept us well fed and “hydrated!” We can’t say enough about this memorable day! We also loved the smaller size of this catamaran.

Sailmaui was AWESOME!!! We got on and after a bit we saw a huge baby humpback whale come right under us and if you bent over, I bet you could touch it. The food was very good, we had fruit, muffins, banana bread, and more for breakfast. For lunch we had excellent sandwich. (Mine had turkey, cheese, and mayonnaise) They also provided very good beverages. Also, if you don't have special water shoes you don't have to bring them or buy them because you take your shoes off anyway. The crew, Steven and Bennet were helpful and did a great job. Steven kept the ride very smooth and Bennet told us a lot of info. Sadly, it was too windy to snorkel. We sailed for a long time to find a less windy spot but couldn't find one. Instead, we did a 'Blue Ocean swim' and that was very, very, very, very fun, too. They also gave us a chance to rebook or get a refund, so technically we got a free trip. Overall, Sailmaui was very fun and the experience was unforgettable!! (Review by Madeline, age 8)

As my wife is a sailor, we signed up for the performance sail. With no wind and plenty of rain, the day was saved with fantastic whale watching. Captain Steven and crewman Ben were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were very attentive with the food and beverages. The snorkeling was fine. We will come back another day to sail.
