If you’re in Maui, actually if you’re in Hawaii at all, you MUST book a plane tour with Maui Plane Rides. This was DEFINITELY the highlight of our trip. Our pilot was the best. He is so calm and comforting making you feel safe throughout the whole tour. And he REALLY knew his stuff. He can name you individual buildings literally! Anyways, I’ll let your next trip do the talking.

I booked this tour as a last minute, change of plans, gift for my parents. I booked it the evening before and in the morning I received a call from Eric saying viator double booked the time slot for 9:00am and the next tour would not be available until 12:00pm. This was well after I had already taxied my parents on their way to the site. Eric went above and beyond and offered to take my parents site seeing around the area until the next available tour. That was 3 hours later. This was my mom’s first trip to Hawaii and now that is the only thing she talks about when people ask her about the trip. The view going over the crater is nothing short of spectacular. Takes a bit to get up to 10K feet but so worth the time. Our pilot, Steve, is excellent. Will book him for our next trip to see the cliffs of molakai!!

Our pilot, Steve, was great!! Was a bit nervous having never been in such a small aircraft but his expertise was great. Explained how to achieve the proper altitude and the landing, smoothest ever. Honestly didn’t realize we were on ground until he throttled down. Do this tour then drive up , gives two very different perspectives. Think I’ll book with him when we return to see the cliffs of molakai!!

We had booked the Molokai sea cliffs tour but the wrath did not look good that way so the pilot proposed to go to the volcano crater . He was able to fly around the clouds to fly us over the crater twice. Amazing view from there. He was also very attentive to our comfort. Great experience with great pilot.
