Maui Nui Luau At The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

First time to Maui and thought it was basically a requirement to go to a luau. We have now been and do not need to go back. The dancers were good but it was a high school skit at best. The food was good but not great. The "open bar" had watered down premade drinks. It was an experience to cross off the bucket list but not worth $200-250/ticket.

Not overly crowded which was great! Staff was very friendly. Food quality was great. A bit pricey for the experience.

Tracie Deoung Dillon did a superb job meeting our family’s needs. Originally we were scheduled for our Hawaiin vacation in November 2025 however my husband underwent a necessary surgery, thus we had to reschedule. Tracie was kind and understanding throughout! Then, when the trip finally came the accommodations were perfect, flight was seamless, recommendations were noted and adhered to. Overall, a perfect fall vacation, thank you! (Eleven people in the family, 2 in diapers, big job to accommodate all our needs!)

This was a great experience and even with rain they moved us into the ballroom for food and most performance and then did the fire dance outside. Highly recommend.

Was a great time. Definitely bring sunglasses and a sweater. Once the sun went down it got chilly, but the food was delicious, the performers were great, and we had fun getting the temp tatoos me flowers

The food was great! Especially the pork! The performance could be a bit better for how much you pay.

Great energy, atmosphere, and food. I booked last minute so there weren't any front seats left which would have been a better show experience but still ok from the back row of tables.

Be careful if you are on a cruise. It started 30 minutes after listed start time. They wanted you to line up at 4:30 but didn’t start seating until 5:00. We left at 7:15 to make it to the ship by 9:00. Show started around 6:45 so we missed most of the show.

My family has been to several Luau’s in Maui and the other islands. This was the best so far. The food and drinks were very good, the entertainment was excellent and it wasn’t overcrowded.

Very entertaining. The story teller was very good explaining the history of each dance and the arrival of the settlers here in Maui

My experience was terrible, upon arrival they didn’t take a picture or give us a flower lei. They said they didn’t have more . I told them is my cousin first time in Maui and first time attending a luau . I have to keep going and begging for a lei. I noticed they gave flower lei’s to a people, that arrived after us, finally they gave us two leis, in our party they were 3 people. I don’t recommend this Luau you pay so much many to be treating like this! Food was really poor and they didn’t have things to do for the guests.

Great experience! Expertly run to alleviate long wait times for entrance, food or drinks. Food was delicious and plentiful and the show was enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Local made crafts were available, fun temporary tattoos were offered and the luau show was very entertaining. The buffet was really good, all you can eat. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed that being placed in the back, there was no way to hear hardly anything. For 185.00 I would never go back

The show and all the entertainers were great. The food was what you would expect from a Luau. We throughly enjoyed the evening. One note to the Sheraton Hotel, when you pay nearly $500 for the Luau you look petty collecting $20 to park.

It was definitely worth it. A fun evening with plenty of food, drink and festivities. Granted the drinks weren’t the best cocktails I’ve had but it was an open bar and there were enough options (my slight headache told me I had plenty). If you’re on the fence on the premium price it’s really a closer seating to the stage but if you want better pictures you can always get up and stand to the side.

The food was delicious and plentiful, but the cocktails were not great. The show was pretty average for this type of entertainment. Staff was friendly. Overall though, I don’t feel like it was worth $400+ a couple.

Maui Nui Luoa should have been a memory to look back on with fond memories. We walked in under a rainbow which is likely a bad sign. However with a hurricane warning and inbound rain, the staff decided to go ahead an hold the entire Luao outdoors instead of in one of their interior spaces. (We called ahead and were told it would likely be indoors due to incoming weather.) The decision on their part made for a very short window in which we were given an opportunity to grab drinks, then quickly on to food that was getting rained on while also trying to pick up items from the dessert table and then find some way to cover it at our own table while we ate under ponchos. So disappointing as the food was the best we've ever had at a Luau. The what was likely excellent entertainment was run on 78 RPM instead of 33 which really killed the vibe. Everything was very rushed. As a buzz kill, We were only able to get a total of two drinks from walking in till leaving. We were ushered out the door within 80 minutes after entry. The worst 200 plus dollars per head l've spent ever on vacation.

Such a fun game experience! Met new friends, awesome show, good food, open bar, souvenirs and activities. Loved it!

This has been the 3rd Luau that we attended and it was very disappointing. We got soaked, food was cold, glasses were flying and the evening was totally rushed (5:30pm - 7:30pm) and definitely not worth the money we spend. Cannot believe we were also charged USD 20 for parking. The kids hardly had time to eat desert and the show was already over. They knew there was a storm coming and it was raining and they should have cancelled the evening or moved the venue to inside as I was told they will do in case of rain in the and given us the option if we wanted to cancel. It was our anniversary evening with the family and a huge disappointment.

Get the preferred seating totally worth it. The family throughly enjoyed the show. Food was great and sunset was amazing.

Buffet was horrible 500 bucks for two kids one adult. The highlight was the kids chicken nuggets. A bit of a scam honestly

Great food, better than other Luau’s I’ve been to, good cultural and family type celebration. Good Hawaiian entertainment. My only complaint was the dessert wasn’t very good.

The luau was really fun and more interactive than expected. They taught everyone a luau dance. My daughter enjoyed the tattoos and the orchid flower they placed in her hair. The food was really good and the sunset backdrop was everything. The only downside was the non alcoholic pina coladas had strange taste. This luau was perfect ending to a perfect vacation.

Great show and good food! Wish there were more food options for the kids. Food is more geared towards adults. My kids did love the show!

We sat at row 40 and had to stand to see the amazing dancers. I think every seat should have a view of the stage as everyone paid well over $200. Otherwise the food was great and the drinks were nice. The staff were amazing!

The Maui Nui Luau was exceptional! I loved the set up, had a great table, had wonderful food, and the cultural experience was awesome. The show was good! I enjoyed learning some history and watching them do the show exceptionally! There was a lot of food and dessert and the staff was polite.

The whole staff was so nice and they helped us on everything that we have problems with. My kids and I had awesome time. It was epic. I would recommend it to anyone.

We have gone several times the food is always good and they put on a great show. I would recommend coming to this luau you will not be disappointed

The food was AMAZING! The staff and entertainment were even better! So many options for food and drinks. Had multiple little vendors for beautiful jewelry and other things. A great experience all around!
