Maui E-mountain Bike Adventure – Private Ranch

Donnie was a great guide! Had a great time riding on the private ranch with incredible views. I would definitely book another tour!

This visit exceeded my expectations. It was my wife’s idea as she wanted to get more information on e-bikes. We had to postpone our visit due to rain but Frankie worked with us and kept us fully informed. We were picked up our hotel and driven to the ranch. Frankie and Donnie made sure we were sized correctly and walked us through how to use the controls on the bikes. We headed out on easy identified trails. The ranch is amazing! I have some mounting biking experience but my wife is a novice. They made sure she was comfortable and didn’t take us anywhere she couldn’t handle. When she was ready to stop I went out further with Donnie as my guide. His knowledge of biking and Maui is extensive and kept me engaged the whole time we rode. I highly recommend this tour for whatever level of experience you have. The guys are great and the ranch is spectacular.

Had such a fun time exploring the trails and seeing the views. The e-bikes made it as easy or as hard as you like. Never encountered anyone else on the ride which made it feel very special and private. And the banana bread…yum!! Highly recommended!

I am still smiling ear to ear! This tour was SO much fun. I felt like a kid again! Aside from the fun and exhilaration of riding an e-bike, the landscapes and views along the ride are completely breathtaking. The mountain bikes and equipment are top of the line and well maintained. The guides are friendly and supportive of riders of all different skill levels and ages. I think what sets this tour apart is that it gives you access to an area of Maui that most people never see. I definitely recommend this tour…. I can’t wait until I can go again!

My son and I had a fantastic experience with the E bike excursion. It was a somewhat challenging ride, but totally worthwhile. Both Donnie and Frankie went out their way to make sure you had a great experience. I highly recommend this company for this excursion.

Super fun ride with a great guide, thanks Donnie! Awesome terrain and emountain bikes. We saw some deer, turkey and other wildlife with great views. Felt lucky to get to see the Island as it was long ago. Definitely would go again and recommend it.

What an amazing day...Frankie and Donnie are the best!!! This excursion is something for all skill levels and if you are not familiar with mountain biking, no worries, they customize the experience to meet your comfort levels. I can't stress enough, this is a must do and it's money well spent. The views are amazing and you can't find anyone more welcoming and professional than these guys. This is my second experience with them and it was epic! I don't write reviews ever, but I felt compelled to share. Look them up!!

Loved this! Donnie and Frankie were very accommodating and the views were amazing. We have done a bit of mounting biking so we picked the grand tour option and it was a great time !

My partner and a friend of mine did a private tour with E-Mountain Bike Tour Maui. Wow, what can I say, what a special experience! Frankie and Donnie were such wonderful and knowledgeable guides and hosts! I worked with Frankie on planning logistics and he was so friendly and helpful and made sure to plan for the best day to ride (with an unexpected rain storm taken into consideration). The views were amazing and the ride up to the top of the ranch was fun and exciting. Great trails, which we also learned were hand made without machinery! Frankie and Donnie were great at helping us navigating the trails and so fun to ride with. Bikes were in excellent shape and a really nice fit. I would highly recommend checking out E-Mountain Bike Tour for your next trip to Maui! I know we well be back again for sure and we're already looking forward to it!

We've been coming to Maui for many years as a family and this was one of the most amazing experiences that we have had! We are so glad that we booked this. Our family of four kids all enjoyed the challenge of the terrain. The bikes and instructors were excellent. The trails were perfectly matched with our abilities. A special thank you to our guides for giving us a VIP tour of the private ranch. We loved the special coffee and banana bread once we reach the top of the mountain! The views were incredible! We've been talking all day about how amazing the bike experience was. Highly recommend if you're looking for a family experience.

Coming from a BC kid who spends most mornings riding the trails at SFU, I can confidently say this adventure holds its own against some of the best riding back home. The views are unbelievable, the terrain is perfect, and the experience is accessible to everyone—not just seasoned riders. Donnie absolutely “talks the talk,” and you’ll be fully entertained the entire time with his stories, knowledge, and humour. Wow, what a cool experience, riding a mtn bike on the flanks of Haleakalā, with incredible ocean views and in a totally unique mountain landscape! I’ve been coming to Maui for years but never experienced anything like it. It checked all the boxes for me, some good climbs, fun descents and mind blowing views made for good quality time with the family. My wife’s not a biker but Frankie took good care of her with excellent coaching and encouragement and the full suspension e-bikes did the trick. I cannot wait to come back next year for another tour.

I had the best experience on this e-mountain biking tour! It was my first time ever mountain riding, and our guide Frankie was incredibly patient, encouraging, and fun. He made our small group feel comfortable and confident. The views were incredible and the landscape unlike anything I’d seen in Maui! Highly recommend this tour.

This tour was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it to anybody visiting Maui who wants to see unique parts of the island. There was a wide variety of trails and incredible ocean views. The landscape on this ranch is surreal; we escaped the resort scene and experienced the wild side of Maui. The ride took about 3 hours, and it was just my family of six in a private group. The tour guides provided excellent service, great vibes, and they looked after the beginners in our group to ensure everyone stayed safe.

Great experience riding trails with no other traffic, bicoastal views of Maui and maybe you get to see some Pueo owls! Highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it!

This was such a cool experience! I don’t have much mountain biking experience and I’d never been on an e-bike before. Honestly, I thought the bike would just kind of take off and do most of the work for me, lol. Not quite. The pedal assist helped a ton — there’s no way I could’ve done this on a regular mountain bike — but it was still definitely a workout. I consider myself moderately fit, but most of my movement is walking and a couple weightlifting classes a week. I am not a cardio person, and there were a few stretches where my heart was really going. But wow… it was so worth it. The view from the top is unreal, and because it’s on private property, this tour is literally the only way to see it. Honestly one of the top three things to do on Maui. I did the Grand Tour, which was the more challenging ride. They also offer a beginner tour if you want something easier, but still awesome. I love that they have options so anyone can enjoy this. Franck was an amazing guide — patient, kind, encouraging, and very safety-focused. I would absolutely do this again!

My son and I had an absolute blast e biking on Maui with Donnie! We got to see a side of Maui we would have never otherwise encountered and it was a super fun way to connect with my teenage son. The equipment was top notch and Donnie and his team ensured that we had all the protective gear, water, snacks and even coffee! Can’t wait to do it again!

One of a kind experience! I was born and raised on Maui and have never been able to explore the areas that I got to on this tour. Having never ridden an e mountain bike before I was a little nervous about riding one for the first time. However, the guide was a great teacher and I felt really comfortable after their initial instruction. Highly recommend for both visitors and locals alike!

I joined The Experience Tour as a total beginner – I had never done any mountain biking before – and it was definitely challenging for me, but absolutely worth it. Franck was an excellent guide: calm, encouraging, and very clear in his explanations. He took the time to show us how to use the e-bike properly (changing gears, adjusting the assistance, using the dropper seat) and checked in regularly to make sure everyone felt safe. The climbs were physically demanding at times, especially while I was still learning to control the bike, but I always felt supported and never rushed. The views were stunning, with beautiful panoramas over Kihei, La Perouse and Molokini, and the mix of lava fields, ocean and open landscapes made the effort really rewarding. The bikes were in great condition, very responsive and fun to ride, and the overall group atmosphere was super positive. If you are a beginner, be ready for a real workout and some focus to handle the e-bike on the uphills and downhills – but if you’re willing to be challenged a bit, this is an amazing way to discover Maui.
