Mahina Hawaii Full Day Adventure

Our family spent a full day exploring Oahu's North Shore with Ryan from Mahina Tours, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Ryan came highly recommended, but somehow still managed to exceed our very high expectations. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he wasn't interested in giving us a standard tour. Instead, he created an incredible day tailored to our family's interests and abilities. We started the day snorkeling and were amazed by the fish and marine life we saw. Ryan then took us to a secluded area where we were able to see sea turtles without the crowds that gather at many of the more popular locations. We stopped for a great lunch at a local food truck, went kayaking, and later spent time boogie boarding in some fantastic North Shore waves. One of the most memorable parts of the day was watching Ryan work with our kids in the water. He patiently coached them on their technique, encouraged them every step of the way, and somehow managed to capture amazing photos throughout the day. His energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care for making sure everyone had a great experience were remarkable. What we appreciated most was that Ryan showed us a side of the North Shore we never could have discovered on our own. His local knowledge, passion for Hawaii, and ability to connect with people made the entire experience feel authentic and special.

I cannot overstate how absolutely amazing our day with Ryan was. He picked us up, and then we were off for a full day of activities in places I would never have been able to find on my own. I gave him a very loose idea of some activities we wanted (waterfalls, beach, boogie boarding, snorkeling). He took us to places I assume mostly locals know about, because none of them were crowded or touristy. He was so flexible with us, with 3 boys it was important to me that we did activities good for everyone, and I was concerned with how that would work out. He was right there with us, not standing off to the side, but in the water helping my kids jump off cliffs, or getting them on boards to surf. The kids absolutely loved him, and we loved that he had no issues changing plans when they wanted to spend more time on one activity than we thought. After our day he sent me a list of places we had either gone to and wanted to return, or places he had mentioned we would enjoy for the rest of our vacation. Both my husband and I were blown away with his services. The pictures do not do justice, except maybe for the fact that we were having such a great time that photos weren’t important. It is all of our favorite day of the entire trip.

We spent a full day of adventure with Ryan exploring Oahu — waterfalls, swimming, snorkeling, and even jumping off safe rocks into the ocean. We swam in the ocean, met sea turtles, and tried body surfing too. Ryan made every stop feel exciting and completely safe. What really made the day special was how Ryan connected with us. He was warm and friendly from the start, like catching up with an old friend rather than meeting a guide for the first time. He was especially wonderful with my seven-year-old, who was so taken with him that he declared Ryan his “best third friend”! This was truly an unforgettable day, and we’re already planning to come back for more adventures with Ryan. Absolutely the BEST Island Tour!! Ryan was on point with everything we wanted to experience and more!! We had the BEST day hanging out with him! Sites visited that would have absolutely never gotten to with other tours … We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and Ryan made sure it was Epic!! He was patient, engaging, and made sure Jackson felt included throughout the entire tour. As parents, that meant so much to us and allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the experience. Jeremy took us around Oahu for the day. We snorkled at Electric Beach, drive to anaamazing coffee place, yummy lunch in North Shote area, drive to a cool waterfall. We learned a lot about the different areas.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible Day — Highlight of Our Oahu Trip! Our family of five (mom, dad, twin 23-year-old daughters, and 16-year-old son) spent the day on a private adventure tour with Caedon, and it ended up being one of the biggest highlights of our entire 7-day trip to the North Shore, Oahu! From the very beginning, Caedon was amazing. He called ahead of time to really get to know our family and tailor the day exactly to what we wanted, which made the experience feel so personal and special. The day was packed with adventure and absolutely unforgettable experiences. We explored Mermaid Cave 🧜‍♀️, snorkeled at Electric Beach where we saw tons of beautiful tropical fish, coral, and multiple sea turtles, and hiked to a hidden waterfall that honestly felt like stepping into another world. The brave ones in our group even did a 30-foot cliff jump! We also stopped for an incredible late lunch at local food trucks, which was such a fun and authentic touch. To top it all off, we went paddle boarding and kayaking down a gorgeous river surrounded by lush vegetation and more sea turtles everywhere we looked. What made this tour so special was how customized, adventurous, and seamless the entire day felt. Caedon was knowledgeable, fun, patient, and genuinely passionate about showing us the best parts of the island. We never felt rushed, and he made sure every member of our family had an amazing experience. We did a lot during our week in Hawaii, but this was the day we all kept talking about afterward. Wow..take this excursion! We had 12 adults in our group, all are 50’s - 60’s. When we visited Hawai’i they were having their bad storms Ryan had to find activities close to what I told him we would like to do, but places where the water was safe and no storms. Well, we had an absolute blast and saw so many sights! Since we had 12 people, they had to bring 2 cars which worked for us. We saw beautiful sights, swimming, ate at a local brewery and saw waterfalls. Thank you Ryan and Jeremy for a Perfect day in Hawai’i!!

We had an amazing day on the south shore with Ryan!!! Our two teenage girls had a great time as we went hiking, snorkeling and jumping off cliffs into waterfalls. Ryan's knowledge of the area was great, and he took us to places that we never would have found on our own. Overall, it was our best day in Hawaii and I cannot recommend this tour enough!!!!

This was so much fun! Our guide Jeremy was amazing! He welcomed us with open arms and I felt like I was just hanging out with a long time friend. It was our first time snorkeling and his knowledge of the area and skill payed off huge! We saw a monk seal, sea turtles, dolphins and so many other things! Highly recommend!

It is hard to describe what a wonderful day we had on our tour. It was our first day on the island, and we got to experience so much- snorkeling, hiking, cliff jumping, sightseeing and history and a delicious lunch spot. Jeremy was an amazing tour guide. We had another incredible experience with Ryan from Mahina Hawaii Adventures! He took our family on two gorgeous waterfall hikes that were absolutely perfect for our crew—my wife and I and our three kids (ages 7, 6, and 3). The trails were beautiful, kid-friendly, and tons of fun. Everyone had a blast, and Ryan is truly the man—knowledgeable, patient, and just an all-around great person. Highly recommend!

We had an unforgettable 8-hour tour of the North Shore with Wyatt! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day feel like a personalized adventure. He took us to Pounders Beach for some body surfing — such an exhilarating experience! Wyatt gave us great tips to make it both fun and safe. Then we did a beautiful hike up to the Sunset Pillbox, where the views over the coastline were absolutely stunning. Wyatt paced it perfectly so we could enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. We finished with snorkeling at Waimea Bay, where we swam alongside colorful fish in crystal-clear water. Wyatt provided gear and made sure we were comfortable and confident in the ocean. The entire day was well planned, and Wyatt’s local knowledge and easygoing personality made it extra special. We came away with beautiful photos, great memories, and a deeper appreciation for the North Shore. Highly recommend!

The BEST day of our family trip to Hawaii was the day we spent with Ryan and Stuart of Mahina Hawaii on their custom Full Day Adventure Tour! Ryan was able to customize our day of activities to accommodate our family of 12 ranging in age from 10 to 62. We had a fabulous time snorkeling with sea turtles, cliff jumping into the ocean (some of us 😉), swimming under a waterfall and having lunch in a food truck park on North Shore. Because Ryan grew up on Oahu he knew where the best spots were for everything and how to time our activities and locations to avoid the busiest times and traffic. They picked us up from our hotel, drove us all around the island, and returned us back one happy and tired group! Best of all they provided the snorkeling gear and took amazing photos and videos both on land and underwater on their Go-Pro cameras and gave us all the footage in digital files at the end of the tour! The next time you go to Oahu you HAVE to book a tour with Mahina Hawaii!!!!

Our 4 year old daughter, my 7 year old son and my wife and I will remember today for a very very long time. Our adventure day with Wyatt was beyond our expectations! Wyatt took the time to plan our trip and delivered an epic adventure for me and my 2 daughters--both under 10 years old; we jumped from rocks, snorkeled with tons of fish and marine life, and swam with turtles--along with rest stops for lunch and some sight-seeing! We are so happy to have been able to take advantage of this personalized adventure!

Our family had such a great day with our guide, Caedon! We asked to pack the day with fun activities and he definitely delivered. We went hiking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and cliff jumping, in addition to stopping by local places for delicious coffee and food. Having Caedon allowed us to fully enjoy the day rather than worry about driving, parking and logistics. He took care of all of that (parking at these beaches is tough because the lots are small and fill up quickly), and knew exactly where to go so that we didn’t waste time. He also was able to share a lot of knowledge about Hawaii and the sights while we drove from place to place. He was so much fun with our kids, helping them with the cliff jumps and rope swings. In addition, he got some great videos and photos of us throughout the day, including under water shots which are so cool. We really felt like this was great value for the money. We could not have done all of these things on our own in one day. Highly recommend this experience!!

We had an epic family day and ticked everything off on our bucket list. We snorkelled with turtles and saw lots of fish, jumped off cliffs, paddle boarded, did the rope swing and had a great garlic shrimp for lunch. Ryan was excellent and so patient with the kids. He made it fun for everyone.

Caedon went above and beyond to make our day super special. He contacted us the day before to make sure our day was tailored to us and gave us an epic day of the all the things we wanted to do. He was nice, respectful and fun and gave us a true feel for the island. We had a great day!

If you are looking for the MOST EPIC day in Oahu, you must book with these private guides. Our group was 4 boys (17 to 19) and 1 mom. We just created LIFETIME memories yesterday. This was the most adventurous jam packed day, which was customized to what my group wanted to do. - Cliff jumping (8ft to 30 ft) - Snorkling Shark Cove, saw Turtle captured on GoPro - Waimea Rock jump - Saw turtles eating algae off the beach on the way to North Shore - Shaved Ice - Paddleboarding/kayaking to a secret rope swing - Ate dinner from a food truck All of this captured on the guides GoPro. TripAdvisor won't let me upload more photos, but they are priceless!!!

We had a fantastic day of adventure and exploration in hidden gems across ocean, rivers, waterfalls and visiting film locations for Jurassic Park and Lost. . Ryan was the best tour guide. We felt so comfortable and safe that all three of us ended up cliff jumping at multiple locations which we never thought we ever would have done! I appreciated that Ryan never rushed us or cut the day short. He participated alongside every adventure with us whether it was snorkeling in the water or jumping off the cliff filming us on his GoPro. At the end of our day Ryan airdropped all the photos and videos so we can have them instantly. Can’t wait to book again next year!

If you want an all day adventure that includes hitting up local snorkel spots, off the beaten path hikes, cliff jumps into waterfall pools, whale spotting or the freshest local poke spot or food truck, Mahina Adventures is it. Your local tour guide will tailor the perfect day for your group's desires and abilities (mine included a multi-generational family from ages 13 - 72)! Able to go with the flow when we decided last minute we wanted to body surf or needed an afternoon coffee break. Our guide shared his knowledge of the island as he safely caravanned from spot to epic spot, and all with a gracious side of Aloha. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

For our first time visiting Hawaii, we (my 60+ parents and I) booked an all day private tour to really experience the island first hand. Mahina Hawaii Adventure Tours exceeded our expectations and was such a worthwhile experience! I was a little hesitant when I saw the word “adventure” because we were seeking a more relaxing, sight seeing tour… which we exactly got and more! We had an amazing day doing a little bit of everything on the North Shore. We spent two days with Ryan during our trip to Oahu and loved every minute of it! We have 4 kids ages 3 to 9 and he was able to accommodate all of them and was so patient with them. We booked a private tour with Mahina Hawaii Adventures for our second day in Oahu. Wyatt was our guide for the day, he contacted us a few days prior to our tour to get a feel for what we wanted to do. We got an early start to the day, which was suggested by Wyatt to beat the traffic, great call. Our entire day at each stop we had the area to ourselves for the most part. Wyatt was super knowledgeable about the island. We started off at a waterfall, followed by an amazing view from the cliffs where they spotted some whales, I didn’t make the entire walk down but my crew said it was one of the best views of the day, they also said that Wyatt kept asking if he could come back to help me down and back, much appreciated Wyatts willingness to help in anyway to get the best experience we could. He took us to the best Poke bowl spot and Malasada truck on the island. We made our way around the east side heading north for more spectacular views and a little snorkeling. Wyatt is the best, we reached out to him several times after our tour asking about other recommendations and he didn’t hesitate to respond back. Wyatt and Mahina Hawaii Adventures is a class act, I highly..highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed.

Wyatt was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was what we asked for from waterfalls, to ocean views. And the best traditional Hawaiian Lunch and yummy ice cream. We started our vacation with a great adventure!

Ryan went above and beyond to accommodate my husband and me as we chose a hike together on Oahu. He spoke with us several times during his vacation and then again when he returned to Oahu. The hike we chose, the Palehua Ridge Trail, required a permit which he acquired, research re: getting to the trailhead and directions while we were on the hike. Although my husband and I are both active 70-year-olds, there were definitely some challenging spots that Ryan deftly helped us navigate. He shared his knowledge of Hawaii and created an exciting and memorable experience.

Our family of 8 (ranging in age from 58 to 19 with 5 very athletic boys)had an amazing day with Ryan and Christian! We went snorkeling, jumped cliffs at a waterfall, had a great lunch at a seafood restaurant and finished off paddaleboadting. They were both very knowledgeable about the island and the activities. Would highly recommend this adventure day!

My Wife and I did a whole day adventure with our guide Wyatt for our Honeymoon. We were able to do everything that we wanted that day, even tho Wyatt did warn us about some inclement weather that may not allow us to go snorkeling. Luckily the weather was perfect! So we were able to fit a waterfall hike with a cliff jump, snorkeling, and paddle boring all within the window of 10 AM to 5 PM. We also stopped by a killer taco truck for a lunch break. Snorkeling was an easily the one of the highlights of the trip, only second to our guide Wyatt. He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and fun to go on these adventures with. If you’re planning on booking my advice is to trust your guide, pack well and go with the flow.

Wyatt was an exceptional guide! As locals from the Big Island, we wanted to avoid the typical tourist spots and experience Oahu like locals. The company understood our desire for an authentic adventure. We were thrilled by the cliff jumping, refreshing waterfalls, a unique vertical hike with breathtaking views, and one more adventurous forest hike to our last waterfall swim. Wyatt was adept at gauging our energy and continuously sought our input, allowing us to “choose our own adventure.” His knowledge and helpfulness made the experience truly remarkable. He also knew some great stops for food! Since we only scratched the surface of the island in our action-packed day, we can’t wait to book again with Wyatt and Mahina the next time we are in Oahu.

We had a fantastic tour with Wyatt. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! We really enjoyed seeing the local, lesser known spots on the south east side of the island, and we know that if we had more time on the island, we’d be able and excited to do another tour to head up to the northern side of the island. Wyatt was a wonderful guide! He had a vast knowledge of the island and even made the drive between activity spots enjoyable as he pointed out other things to do, plant life, and historical areas of the island. His knowledge of the plant life and Hawaiian history was an added bonus that we didn't expect and greatly appreciated. We were able to do multiple things in one day that would have taken us multiple hours to find and plan. We never felt like we were in a tourist trap location thanks to Wyatt's knowledge of all the best spots. Wyatt immediately made my husband and I both feel comfortable and was incredibly friendly during the entire day. It felt more like hanging out with a friend than a tour guide. We were hesitant in booking at first due to the price, but after our day out I feel like we got a steal of a deal. I can't recommend this experience or Wyatt enough

My daughter and I spend the day with Wyatt and had a BLAST! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He took us on a wonderful hike to a waterfall, cliff diving in a local swimming hole and finished the day paddle boarding down a river with the Honu. Wyatt was a great guide to spend the day with and took many pictures that he shared at the end of our journey. From the moment Christian picked my husband and I up from our hotel, I knew we were going to have a great day. He took us to many beautiful places across the island. We overlooked the beaches and cliffs, saw a blow hole and waterfalls. We visited a coffee farm and ate local food at Fresh Catch that was amazing!!! We kayaked a river and saw turtles swimming below us. For the final moment of our trip, we were taken to a beach to see sea turtles swimming around. As we started walking back to the car, a sea turtle came out of the water on to the beach!! It was an amazing moment and made the whole trip for me!!! Christian had so much knowledge about the culture and the island!! I learned so much that day!!! We have told countless people about this tour since we have been home. Wow what an amazing experience!! Our tour guide Wyatt was the most knowledgeable dude about Everything you could possibly think of. He was so accommodating to whatever we wanted to do and joined in all of our activities- cliff jumping, hiking , touring beaches and taking us to super cool spots we would never have been able to find on our own! What an amazing day!!!! We were able to customize our tour and our guide Christian brought it. From the Aloha Bowl flea market to, the Bishop Museum, local poke place, hidden beach to see turtles, waterfall with diving pool, breath taking views of the island and the pure knowledge of a local. Something for the entire family to enjoy whether your outdoor adventurists or like us just take in the local vibe. Highly recommend!!!!

We had an awesome experience from beginning to end. Our guide, Wyatt, checked in with a phone call a couple days ahead to confirm our interests. Wyatt put together an AH-MAZING day for us- caves, snorkeling, waterfall/rock jumping, lunch, and paddle boarding. Wyatt was super friendly, made us feel comfortable, professional, knowledgeable, and made sure we stayed safe. All of the activities were at places we would have never known about and were not tourist traps. It was a great and adventurous day with Wyatt! Christian did amazing job showing us the island of Oahu. He started off showing us some secret waterfalls and cliff jumps that no one else knows about, then we went to paddle boarding and kayaking, and finally we ended up with an amazing experience of snorkeling where we saw a stingray, huge turtles, and amazing fish. He did an amazing job, entertaining our family With stories of Hawaii and its history. He was able to give us details on how to finish up our time on Oahu with restaurant recommendations, and places we need to go hiking and have other adventures. I would highly recommend the Service and especially Christian. My son said this was one of the very best days of his entire life. This was just a great great day.
