Exceeded our expectations the food and drinks were amazing. Brandon and the rest of the crew aboard were excellent and got anything you needed right away. A little spendy but 100% worth the experience!!!

Upon arrival to end of the trip it was all 5 stars. They went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. We even had a photographer onboard . They took time to chat with guests and explained each meal. Best experience will do it again and again.

We shared a wonderful dinner and experience on the Alii Nui, my daughters and I. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was exceptional considering we were outside on a catamaran in a heavy wind. We were in a somewhat sheltered cove for dinner and I really appreciated the way the captain steered the boat in a circle to everyone had a good view of the water and the sunset.

Captain Josh & First Mate Pedro were FABULOUS!! Boat was beautiful. Great drinks. Okay food. (But lets me honest you’re paying for the atmosphere) Good vibes all around. We were very lucky there were only about 15 other ppl on our trip. Dolphins joined us for part of it. Captain Josh was an excellent DJ. It was cloudy so we didn’t get much of a sunset but we didn’t care bc after all, we are in MAUI!!

An absolutely fantastic evening from start to finish. The food was outstanding – genuinely restaurant quality and far exceeded our expectations for a dinner cruise. Every course was beautifully prepared and delicious. The cocktails were excellent too, with a great selection and generous pours. The views at sunset were simply breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for the evening. Watching the sun go down along the Maui coastline was unforgettable. A special mention to the crew, who were friendly, attentive and helped create such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The whole experience had an amazing vibe – great food, great drinks, great company and incredible scenery. We would highly recommend the Royal Sunset Dinner Sail to anyone visiting Maui. One of the highlights of our trip and a perfect honeymoon memory.

We enjoyed a wonderful sunset cruise with dinner. Our ship's captain was Josh, a transplanted Texan who navigated the calm evening waters of the Pacific to perfection. The entire crew was attentive, friendly and accommodating throughout the voyage. Highly recommend this excursion as a nice way to enjoy an evening on the water.

We had a wonderful evening, the crew was very helpful and friendly and food was VERY good. I am a tour helicopter pilot on the Islands; this was my first time on Alii Kai and will not be my last and will recommend this trip to others.

The catamaran was very luxurious and comfortable. The crew and photographer were hospitable, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I am fairly well versed on wines and feel the description of top-shelf wines and photos shown were over advertised as the wines were not top-shelf which was disappointing as that was a key factor in deciding which sunset dinner cruise we selected.

The food quality was outstanding, especially for a dinner cruise, and every course felt thoughtfully prepared. The level of service from the crew was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the entire evening. The ride itself was also unbelievably smooth and relaxing, making it easy to fully enjoy the sunset and scenery. A truly first-class experience from start to finish.

We have gone out on Ali Nui and Ali Kai. Both are very nice sunset sales. The Ali Kai is a nice step up with a 5 course meal that is service to you. A very nice meal. Our kids always love to go out on it when they come to visit. We also got to see several whales. Great meal, drinks, service, sunset and whales!

Left early without warning and left us standing on the dock. Wouldn’t answer calls or texts and still refusing to return any attempts to communicate. Refusing to refund our tickets since they left early without informing us. Biggest waste of $500 I’ve ever spent.

Valentines Sunset Sail: The boat was lovely. The Captain and crew couldn’t have been nicer. Drinks were generous and the evening was lovely. I gave 4 starts because 1. When I paid over the phone I was surprised the total was significantly more than the listed price. I asked what was going on and was told it was for Valentine’s Day but would include many extras like live music and tokens to remember our trip by given out on board. (Spoiler: there weren’t any). 2. There were no “extras” on board that I could find. 3. Music was a young kid downstairs (we were up top) playing modern guitar riffs and collecting Venmo toward buying his first car, so zero added cost to the ship the either. (He was pretty good!) 4. There was a photographer on board who did a nice job but the pics were also not included. So, nice evening but the surprise price increase seems out of place. They also couldn’t fit us into the complimentary van so we paid for an Uber both directions on top. Food was fine. Not notable. Nice evening but temper expectations.

The boat is absolutely beautiful and extremely well taken care of. The crew obviously takes pride in themselves and taking care of their clients. The food was really good but the portions were a bit skimpy for those who eat a lot. It was fine for me I had the surfing turf which was a white fish and meat which was prepared like a brisket. Both are really good.

Absolutely wonderful. Great service, good food, lots of whale activity and calm seas and sunset. Would highly recommend. We rarely asked for anything the drinks and meal service were perfectly timed all we had to do is enjoy the drinks and delicious food.

What an amazing luxurious catamaran! Crew was amazing and top notch. From beginning to end, the entire experience was superb! Cannot recommend enough! Adult only was perfect. Drinks were rolling. 5 course meal was well timed. Food was to be expected for a boat trip- but worth it! Nothing beats a sunset view from the water. Best sunset we experienced during our entire trip!

Watching the Ali'i Kai slipping into her berth I was excited about my Royal Sunset Sail, but had no way of knowing how much I would enjoy the entire evening. From the welcome champagne, to the starters right afterwards, and the savory entrees, I felt like a king at sea. The attentive staff made me feel comfortable and was at my beck and call for the entire trip. The water was calm allowing us to go further out to sea to catch the sunset, and then rested there until nightfall. The cruise back to Ma'alaea Harbor under the stars was smooth sailing and the island rhythms continued into the night until we got back. It's a fantastic cruise sailing into the sunset.

We are from Illinois and recently traveled to Hawaii, seeking once-in-a-lifetime experiences. This excursion was perfect, featuring a one-and-a-half-year old catamaran ride, a fantastic crew, an excellent meal, and a stunning sunset. It was an incredible experience!

Very swanky experience. Great food, great crew, excellent food and drinks. Onboard photographer (extra fee) took some nice photos of us. The boat was pristine. I would do it again if I return to Maui!

The view was beautiful- note that you stay in a bay for the entire duration, but there is a lot to see and the view changes drastically as the sun goes down. The boat was clean and well maintained. The food was nice - not amazing, but nice. The best part was that they just brought everything to us. We sat comfortably and enjoyed the ride while the staff ran drinks and brought us our food, course by course. The captain (Bree) was funny and welcoming and the crew were friendly and constantly looking to help.

It was just okay and for over $1000 I would have expected a slam dunk on food and service. Food was mediocre at best……………..

I booked this dinner cruise for my wife's 50th Birthday Celebration. It was spectacular‼️The five course meal was elegant and delicious; the crew were fabulous; the Catamaran was luxurious, and of course, we had fun and bonded with the other patrons. I highly recommend this sunset dinner cruise.

This was a highlight of our trip for sure, we would definitely recommend! The food was great and we loved the drinks. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The boat wasn’t packed so it felt private but we could chat with others if we wanted. We would love to try the other tours they offer for our next trip!

I am happy to write a review for Alii Nui. Three of us went on their Royal Sunset Dinner Sail and all of us enjoyed the beauty of the cruise and the hospitality from all the staff. Sunset was amazing. Their boat was in pristine condition. Don't hesitate to use this company. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful experience and delicious food! We went on June 10, 2025, and it was the first day for their new menu. I really didn't expect to have good food - I was going more for the view. However, I loved all the dishes. My husband joked with me that he'd never seen me eat so fast! The boat was new and very nice. Lots of seating options. The sunset was incredible, and we got some really good pictures. The whole crew was friendly. I would absolutely do this again.

The cruise was awesome and the crew was very attentive to us and all the passengers. I strongly recommend this cruise over others. This cruise is a little more priced but 100% worth every penny!!

The boat was clean, comfortable and good music. The music was not too loud and fun. The staff were all great! and food was good. The only real thing to be aware of is the intense wind. It kind of ruins everything and the way back we had to go inside.

The boarding experience was seamless. Food is perfectly cooked. The staff are very personable, informative and attentive.

We did the dinner cruise in June 2025 on our last night in Maui and it was a great capper to the trip. Marina is easy to find, boat is clean and well setup and the crew was very fun and attentive. We did the upgrade to the upper deck experience and never once questioned if the extra $ was worth it. The food quality was great, much grilled right on board. We didn't end up going under sail as the captain working with some peers spotted a couple of whales and given the rarity this time of year, went on a whale hunt, and we got some great views that really made the cruise special. We got the on-board photo package and got some amazing high-res pix of the family and the dolphins, whales and sunset in the mix. Highly recommended.

Wonderful sunset dinner cruise - the food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. The jackfruit cakes were so good and the surf and turf was top notch. The crew was so nice and Ryan the captain genuinely wanted people to have a good time. He was so sweet- even in the middle of the sail - he would help guests out with drinks, pictures, or whatever you needed. They had a lovely on boat photographer Angel who did a great job capturing both posed and candid shots. A couple other reviews complained of the wind. Honestly, we did a couple sails out of Makeena Harbor and it’s always windy so this is just a given condition of that area. We still had a great time - I just put my hair up and my husband took his hat off and it was all fine. Every single ship will face the same issue so you might as well pick the one with the best food and crew, which is Ali’I Nui!

The crew was amazing. Captain Luke was awesome. We saw Whales and dolphins. The music was awesome. The food was awesome. It was an awesome sunset cruise. We will be doing it again for sure.

We've been on Alii Nui before, on other boats... and this new(est?) boat, Alii Kai, is a step above! However, what made this such a pleasant cruise was the staff! Super friendly, helpful, and just a joy to be around! The food was wonderful, and the drinks were always full! Many thanks to Ryan, Travis and the rest of the crew (Sunny, the photographer, was equally wonderful!)! A Hui Hou!

The sunset dinner cruise is a must do! The boat is beautiful and the team running it are top notch. Very attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful. There is parking right by their slip so keep driving around to look for it!

The Crew and boat (Alii Kai) were amazing as always! I’ve been on a few excursions with Alii Nui and have loved every one of them.

This was a stand out experience on our Maui vacation! Beautiful boat, friendly crew, excellent experience. Full bar with nice selection of high-end wine. Full meal is also served. We saw dolphins and Wales along the boat that the crew slowed down and let us watch.. The service on the boat was excellent and they were incredibly friendly and attentive. Staff to clientele ratio was great! We had about 20 people on board with about 8 staff. It felt really spacious and each guest had their own space to relax in. Sitting on the boat is on a first come first serve basis so try to arrive right at 4:45 if you care where you sit. The seat you get when you get there are your seats for the night where are you eat and drink, etc. We got some really nice loungers . We even had a professional photographer on board to take pictures. Overall, it was romantic, relaxing, and a very memorable experience!

Always a great night out and was exceptional this year for Valentines Day. Incredibly romantic... a special time with my honey... lots of whales... killer sunset... what more could you want. We look forward to this EVERY TRIP TO MAUI!!!

What a wonderful time we had on the beautiful, brand new elegant Alii Nui catamaran! The food, wine, the excellent service was stellar! The best sunset/dinner cruise we have ever taken. The stunning and relaxing views were amazing, it was a plus that we had calm water too. We even saw a few whales. I'd give you all 6 stars if that was an option! We'll do it again!

This company and crew were so fabulous and incredibly accommodating for us! We got stuck in terrible traffic due to the road closures and they helped us get on another cruise and were so helpful in ensuring we had an incredible experience! Captain Ryan personally reached out to make sure we had what we needed, and the whole crew did everything they could to ensure all the patrons were having a great time! As a huge plus, we also got to see a baby whale slap the water with their tail fin and see the mom breach the water. Would highly recommend this trip and this crew and this company! 10/10
