This was an amazing & unique experience!! Christine is a wonderful host & it was so interesting to learn all about her sweet babies & the gorgeous upcountry. It was definitely a nice side trip & lovely way to spend the evening & watch that breathtaking sunset. A sunset hike with a llama? Yes please! This was so much fun! The llamas were awesome as was our tour guide Christine. We each got our own llama, mine was Sina and my husband’s was Killian. They were very well trained and we learned a lot about llamas during our walk. It was completely foggy, so no sunset views but we had llamas! The llamas were the highlight. Christina was an excellent guide. Very friendly and great to talk to! Highly recommend this tour!

This was hands down the BEST part of our week long trip in Maui. The Llamas are so sweet, and Christine was so nice and very knowledgeable! Your inner little kid will be giggling the whole time. It’s truly a one of kind experience!

We felt a bit silly choosing this experience as we knew llamas were not indigenous to HI, but wanted to do something different & we enjoy animals. We knew it would help us see different countryside than the usual. Christine was very friendly, shared tons of information, & adjusted to our comfort level. The walk was scenic, the llamas were so fun & photogenic, and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. This was a highlight of our trip! I would totally recommend it.

This was our favorite activity on our trip, it way exceeded expectations. Not only were the llamas delightful, but the scenery was drop dead gorgeous. Our guide Christine couldn’t have been nicer and it’s clear the llamas and alpacas are very well cared for. Amazing experience for anyone who loves animals.

Can't recommend enough! This was such a gorgeous hike with the most adorable hiking partners. This is a perfect break from the beach and gave us such an appreciation for upcountry Maui. If you're on the fence, book it!!

We had an amazing time on the llama sunset hike!! The “hike” portion was easy, and the llamas were adorable and well-trained! Christine was very friendly and communicative, and obviously great with the llamas. We got so many amazing memories (and not to mention Instagram photos!!) out of the experience!! If you love animals and are looking for a great, 1-2hr experience in Maui, this is it!

What an AMAZING experience! Christine was a great host, her communication was spot on and the hike was fantastic. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Now for the llamas we had the privilege of hiking with Killian, Sion and Azrael. They each had their own unique personalities that made it so easy to fall in love! Our expectations were exceeded ten fold and the property was fantastic! Next time we visit Maui we will definitely come back to do the Llama sunset hike!

We had a great experience with Christine and the Llamas Azriel, Kilion, and Sion. We learned about the Llamas before the hike. They make cute noises and easy to walk. The Llamas were gentle and we loved petting them. The hike was beautiful.

What a wonderful experience all around. First of all it was a pleasure meeting Christine and Sam, the owners of the Llamas. They are both such kind, genuine and knowledgeable people. They made us feel comfortable and safe right away. Next we were introduced to each beautiful, gentle and well trained llama. We learned a little about each of their personalities and some of their traits as a group. Hiking with the llamas was easygoing and very peaceful. The views from trail were amazing! If you love animals you will love this experience!

WOW— this was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had for a hike. If you’re looking for a hike that embodies calm, serenity, and a very unique experience, do sign up for this one! This rather “private” hike allows you to walk your own llama through some of Mauis gorgeous green lands. I was lucky enough to rent one of Christine’s Airbnbs that is located on her alpaca farm. I thought waking up with Alpacas outside my window was cool enough until I heard about her hikes with the llamas! She gave me a little behind the scenes of loading up the llamas and allowing me to groom them before we left. In all, do yourself a favor and book one of these hikes to learn about the llamas Christine has and invite yourself to get close and cuddly with these llamas!!! Thanks Christine!

An incredible experience with these lovely llamas! We had so much fun learning about the llamas and taking them for a walk along gentle, rolling terrain. The views were spectacular! Christine was so engaging and really put us at ease with the llamas (they don’t spit!). It’s obvious that these sweet creatures are loved and well taken care of. Would definitely do this again when we come back and would recommend to family and friends in a heartbeat!

Let’s start with the people who own and have trained the llamas: Christine and Sam. These are two incredibly astute, caring, Knowledgeable, and kind hearted people you could ever meet, and as a result, the llamas are equally astute, sensitive, and loving animals. Add to that, the amazing views and gorgeous landscape of Maui, and what we really have here is a 10 star experience. If you like animals, this experience is not to be missed. I think the photographs on the website say it all, but just walking along with these elegant and sweet llamas during the pre-sunset hour, is a memory I will carry with me to the end of my days. We had the most incredible experience on this llama hiking tour in Maui. This is truly a hidden gem and one of the most unique, peaceful, and joyful things we’ve done on the island. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel completely welcomed. You can tell how much love and care she pours into her llamas and her beautiful property. The animals are gentle, friendly, and full of personality—each one with their own little quirks that made the experience even more fun. The sunset hike itself was breathtaking. Walking with the llamas as the sky turned pink and gold felt almost surreal. The views were wide open and stunning, and the pace was relaxed and easy for all levels. We got plenty of time to interact with the llamas, take photos, and just enjoy how calming and sweet they are. This is a brand-new business, and she is doing everything right. It’s intimate, thoughtfully run, and an experience that feels truly special—not touristy or rushed. Our whole family left smiling, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. This was an early Christmas present for my boyfriend. It turned out to be the highlight of my trip to Maui. Majestic animals well behaved and loving. I will be telling all my family and friends about it. If you go to Maui, it is a must. From the views to Christine and Sam, everything was the best. A memory I will never forget. I still have a smile on my face.

I am a self proclaimed llama lover. This was the highlight of our vacation to Maua. The llamas were adorable, very friendly, well trained and soft. You lead the llamas on a gentle hike up the mountain. The hike was easy and the views were specular. Prefect setting, me and my llama overviewing the blue ocean (oh, my girl friend too). Llamas rule.

My husband and I visited Cottontail Farms and Christine and her Llamas took us on a hike. I walked with Sion, my husband walked with Killion, and Christine and Azriel took the lead. We loved the walk, with gorgeous sunset views. I wholeheartedly recommend this unique hike with the Llamas.

I went with my wife, b-in-l and his girlfriend. The evening was a little cloudy, but not rainy though gave the hike a cool mystical feel. The Llamas were better than could be expected, they are well trained, good natured and very friendly. Christine and Sam were gracious hosts/ guides and provided plenty of instruction and information about Llamas in general and their llamas in particular. We walked with Callum and Micha, and Killian led the group. We had many great photos taken that will provide many memories of an unforgettable event. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is considering doing this, the hike was very mild with very easy terrain, and the stars of the show did not disappoint from start to finish.

Absolutely amazing experience!! All four of us truly enjoyed meeting the friendly, sweet llamas! Our owner guides, Christine and Sam, went out of their way to make sure my llama loving brother was smiling the whole time! Would highly recommend!!!

The most adorable, fun, and beautiful way to get your steps in! It felt like a dreamy stroll through mystical Ireland — but with the sweetest, fluffiest new friends and a stunning bird’s-eye view of Maui. I loved learning the little nuances of llama communication and getting to pet them (even touching nose to nose!). I’d always heard llamas could be a bit rude or difficult, but it’s so clear these llamas have been raised with incredible love, care, and expert training — any uneasiness melted away thanks to their calm, gentle energy and the warm, intuitive guidance of their owners. It is a very unique experience and I am so glad I went! Thank you!

This is a hidden gem of Maui. This Upcountry hike was gentle enough for my 66 year old body, who kept "oohing and ahhing" about the green Upcountry slopes and the backdrop of a stunning Maui sunset. You will want to experience this magical time with beautiful Llamas, who are gentle and sweet and so soft! Christine does a good job of pacing the hike where you lead the Llamas while also taking the time to soak in the beauty around you.

This was such a wonderful experience in Maui, unlike any other! The llamas are so gentle and we had an absolute blast learning about them and walking with them. Loved having Micah and Callum as hiking buddies and the view of Maui's breathtaking sunset was amazing. Just being around these majestic animals is serene then factor in Kula's magical atmosphere, highly recommend.

We had such an amazing time on our llama hike! The llamas were so gentle and well-trained (and funny!) it is like leading big fluffy golden retrievers. Christine and Sam are excellent guides to the whole experience as well. We hiked with our small baby who got to pet the llamas and loved seeing them up close. The hiking area is upcountry Maui, a bit out of the way from the normal tourist areas and cooler too, so dress appropriately. It is very much worth the drive! The whole hike takes place during sunset which is absolutely stunning and magical. There is nothing else like it on Maui or anywhere else!

Christine and the animals gave me a one of a kind hike!!! The beautiful Maui weather and the sweet animals will forever be a favorite part of my visit!

I recently went on a sunset llama hike with Maluhia Llamas and it was nothing short of magical! The llamas were wonderful ! Gentle, friendly, and easy to handle. You can tell they’re well-trained, very loved, and comfortable around people. Each one had its own little personality, my favorite was Callum! The views are stunning! The hike itself was easy. I would recommend wearing layers, comfortable shoes, and a rain jacket just incase. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for something fun, peaceful, and truly memorable. I’m still talking about the hike weeks later.!

This was my favorite thing we did on Maui! The sunset view from the walk down the side of the volcano is breathtaking. You see the whole island and the ocean. The alpaca & llamas were so sweet and gentle, and it’s just such an amazing experience to interact with them and learn about them. My daughter won’t stop talking about it, and she’s not usually one that’s keen on walks, but the animals made all the difference for her. It’s hard to describe, but it really is an unbeatable experience and worth every penny. We’ll definitely do it again!
