Fantastic experience. We learned a ton about local Hawaiian culture while making the bracelets. The girl who led our class was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this class for anyone looking to learn about Hawaiian culture and make a cool keepsake to bring home

Took the family for bracelet making class, everyone except the 6 year old enjoyed the class. My 6 year old is very crafty but this is a bit advanced for her. Wish the instructor had given her something easier to do or personally helped her with her bracelet. Otherwise we all had a great time and learned a great deal.
Was a fun and informative experience! We learned how to weave and made our own Hawaiian souvenirs! Ku’ulei was personable and a wonderful teacher. She shared some Hawaiian history with us, and we wondered through a small museum at the back.
We had an amazing time and left with a beautiful bracelet as a token of our special time with Koo. She was a wonderful teacher and a fountain of historical information! Would highly recommend this activity to other moms and daughters!
Not only fun to learn the basics but the history we learned was fascinating. We are older and highly recommend to all ages.
Fun getaway from the outdoor heat of the day.Teacher was patient and engaging. They even waited for us as we got lost in the mall tryi g to find the location. Nice to hear about the Hawaiian culture. The facility houses interesting history and costumes of the Hawaiian predecessors. Our bracelets came out unique and different from one another but al beautiful. Very relaxing and satisfying to leave with a laulau bracelet.
I've lived here for years and just discovered this amazing cultural opportunity. We learned so much about the culture, and the kumu was very patient and helpful! This is a must do when visiting Maui!!
Great experience for all. Did this with my wife and it was a relaxing experience. The instructor was great at helping along the way.
The women teaching the class were so informative explaining where the material for the bracelet comes from and the history behind it. Very fun and patient with showing how to weave the leaves. My sister and I had a great time.
What an enjoyable time we had and learned so much about the culture, the island of maui and how to weave a bracelet. The teacher was by far memorable with her stories, skills ! Place this on your list of places to visit when traveling on Maui. I would love to have the emailed classes on more bracelet making when they are ready. Thank you for this option.
Awesome time however the knowledge of our instructor about the islands was very educational thank you so much for the info and the patient with my grandpa he was struggling with his bracelet but he got it done
I went to this class in January and had a really great time! I was in a class of about 4 people. The lesson was very informative, our teacher was not only very helpful in showing us how to make the bracelet, but she also discussed the cultural significance of Lauhala on the Polynesian islands as well as how important it was to our teacher personally. I heard that they were looking into doing virtual classes, which I would be very interested in, as I don’t live in Hawaii. I loved this experience so much!!!
Raven taught a wonderful class. I didn’t anticipate that in an hour, I would have a completed bracelet but I did. I enjoyed hearing the history and stories that were shared. The museum is well done and very informative. There are many classes to choose from. I encourage you to take a class and experience the Aloha spirit.
Everyone was so informative and I could see that they were very excited to share their culture with us. I would like to have been able to do more activities that were offered on different days however time did not allow. I would love to be able to make a purse; here’s hoping that they are able to offer a zoom class on it as I would like to join. The cultural displays were extremely interesting and all 3 ladies were great. Highly recommend this class or any other class that is offered as they are great ladies
This was so fun. How they gave the history of the weaving and the material was excellent. Can’t go wrong taking this class. Btw it’s next to Fun Zone.
Hubby and I took this class when visiting Maui this month. Ravan is a wonderful teacher. We learned alot about this craft, and we both wore our bracelets home. We look forward to enjoying another class next time we're in Maui. There were no kids in our class, but it would be a great activity for them, at a great price.
Such a great class. The instructor was so knowledgeable and supported everyone to be successful. Had a great time. I can’t believe the low price for all of the knowledge shared with us. I highly recommend this class!
What a fun experience! I love to learn and was able to walk away with a fun bracelet I made and materials to practice the techniques I learned. Really enjoyed the educational aspects of the plant and the process to prep the leaves
Hana and Ravan were amazing, they first went through the process of making the bracelets and then gave us a tour about their cultural history, would highly recommend
Great experience! The instructor took her time with us and demonstrated exactly how make the lauhala bracelet. I was so happy to be able to take home a bracelet that I created myself. 🌺❤️
This is a very nice lecture to do alone, with your partner, or with your kids. It takes ca. 1h, and my partner and I enjoyed it a lot! Ravan and Ku'ulei are amazing. Ravan gave the lecture and helped us in making a personalized bracelet. She is passionate, patient, and incredibly skilled. I strongly recommend to visit them and give it a trial. That's a bit challenging, but Ravan is there to support you. I had never tried to make a bracelet before. And this was the result!
I had an excellent time at the lauhala bracelet class! Raven and Ku’ulei were wonderful and welcoming hostesses and I was very comfortable at the center. I really enjoyed weaving and learning about the preparation of the hala plant. The museum has historical museum with information about the Polynesian Triangle and its communities as well as more recent migration and influence of cultures on food, dress and music we see commonly in Hawaii today. Really glad the foundation has opened up so we can have a space to learn and experience local culture and craftsmanship. I look forward to my return!
It was very nice. We had a very lovely woman who gave us a lot of information and tips and explained the culture to us. The weaving was super fun and we have great souvenirs.
