What a great trip. Though not guaranteed, we saw lots of whales, with one breaching right behind us! Comfortable boat and not too many people onboard.

Dolphin/whale watching was a sight to see! We were so fortunate to be able to see as much as we did: Spinner dolphins bottle nose dolphins A deceased sperm whale with tiger sharks eating the carcus(very rare sighting) pelagic whales short fin pilot whales Not to mention the crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. But I do have the say Falkor(the dog) was by far my favorite of the tour guides 😉

Great family experience! We had to change our date due to delayed travel, and they were great to work with and made it happen very easily. The extra experience with live animals(sea horse, crab etc) on the boat was really fun for the kids.It was obvious they valued the wildife and treated them with respect. The crew was friendly and interacted with everyone-even remembered the kids names. I would highly recommend this experience!!

You will see sea life! We saw spinner dolphins, pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, and numerous seabirds!

A great excursion on the water with our naturalist guides Andrew and Olivia and their dog Falkor! We saw spectacular marine wildlife - dozens of dolphins and whales as promised. Great views of the coastline with unlimited cold beverages. The movement of the waves as we were coasting along the water lulled everyone to sleep so it was a restful time as we admired the local ecosystem under the baking Hawaiian sun! There are restrooms in the harbor parking lot and on the boat so no worries there. Load up on the sunscreen (though the boat has lots of shade) and very comfy to go shoe-less on the boat - a wonderful time.

This was a good experience disappointed that we only saw dolphins when it said it was guaranteed whale and dolphin but overall it was a nice experience

This was an amazing boating experience from beginning to end! Andrew and Olivia were both very knowledgeable and made the experience very informative and inviting. As soon as we left the harbor we saw a pod of spinner dolphins! Not too long after we saw at least 20 pilot Whales! A bonus was jumping tuna. Such a wonderful day with amazing guides.

This company is small and family owner. Olivia and Anthony were fantastic guides. They pointed out birds, dolphins, and even whales! We had the best time!!

The crew of the hawaiian adventures boat was great! We saw a rare species of whale and dolphin! We saw a spotted dolphin, black fin whale, fraser dolphin, and a melon beaded whale

Our experience was cut short due to an issue with the vessel but the crew was exceptionally professional about the whole situation. We had a refund before we were even back on shore. I wish we would have had another day on the Big Island to try again as this is a first class outfit with a great crew and a beautiful vessel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for this type of excursion. I know we will definitely book with them when we return.

It was amazing! They found a pid of whales and dolphins! The boat was very clean and the operators were very nice and accommodating!

My family and I enjoyed this activity. We ere able to spot whales and dolphins by going deep out into the ocean. Alcohol free drinks were provided but no food. And request to not bring personal food on boat. Lasted 3 hrs. Boat was clean and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable!!!

This was such an amazing tour! i'm horrible with names but the 2 people who took us were so knowledgeable about all the whales we saw and the island in general. They really tried to make sure we seen as much as possible. We even got to see 2 humpback whales at the tail end of season due to them trying even tho there wasn't much of a chance. We'd definitely recommend this company if your wanting to do something like this

Absolutely amazing! We saw 4 different species of whales and 2 different sharks! They were very knowledgeable and we defiantly learned a lot. 100% recommend

The whale watch was mostly spent going to and from where the whales were at. Hardly spent any time there. The tour says it's 3-4 hours but we were brought back in 3 hours and didn't get to see many whales. We expected way more for the price we paid!

Wonderful boat & crew. The naturalist knew so much about whales & their behaviors. Boat is comfortable, clean & roomy. Saw 11 whales & spinner dolphins. A fun day!

Fun morning of whale watching . Saw a momma and baby humpback briefly, and spinner dolphins. Very educational.

We scheduled this adventure with the hopes of seeing a whale or two. Nature came through I a big way. Within minutes of leaving the harbor, we came across a pod of spinner dolphins. The captain then took us to an area where he had previously encountered whales. We saw several whale spouts and then some beautiful whale flukes. We then moved on and came across a mother and baby. The baby proceeded to circle the boat to get a good look at us! Onboard, we had wonderful narration explaining the whale behavior. This was a great experience and I would definitely do it again.

Nice two-deck 45 ft boat. Comfortable seating. The three-person crew keeps a steady lookout to locate all sea life. We saw numerous dolphins and probably 8 to 10 different humpback whales. They share lots of info during the 2:30 to 2:45 trip. Nice experience for the four of us.

From the start this was a well organised and slick operation. The Captain and naturist on board were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw spinner dolphins before leaving the harbour and once out to sea we were treated to several humpback whale sightings of mother and calf and other adult whales. It was a very enjoyable trip. I was also impressed by the respect the Captain had for the whales by not getting too close to them once sightings were made.

Such a great experience with Hawaiian Adventures. They work so hard to deliver an exceptional experience. On our trip out we saw spinner dolphins, bottle nose dolphins, whales, and even manta rays. While the whales were what drew me to the tour, the massive group of spinner dolphins was the star of the day. Simply incredible to see the bow riding dolphins. What really made this tour great was Dennis. All the employees were knowledgeable, but having a naturalist share so much knowledge really enhances the experience and was a big reason I chose this tour. I appreciate the expertise and passion they all provided in on the tour.

I'm not going to lie, we got lucky. I've been on whale tours in the past at other destinations and haven't seen anything. But on this day, two humpbacks gave us the show of a lifetime. Breeches! Chin slaps! Spying! Swimming right beneath us! It was awesome! And by the way, how did I learn all of those terms? Olivia and Andrew! They provided such incredible insight into whale behavior. Our safety and the whales' safety was priority. They are insanely passionate about what they do and it shines through. I recommend this tour, especially during humpback season. This is something I will never forget.

Loved it!!! Saw so many whales, many types of dolphins, and manta rays. I had such a great time— staff was amazing. The boat ride was relaxing and overall everyone was just excited and feeling lucky to see all these animals so close up!! We saw baby dolphins which I’ll never forget

The information given to us about the water animals we saw on the tour as well as information about the area items such as fish farms, sea horse farm, and other items were very informative. The marine biologist was excited about what he was sharing and the tour guide was amazing. We had a great time and would go again. It didn't matter whether we saw whales, dolphins, or tiger sharks (which we did). I cannot express how wonderful this experience was.

This cruise was awesome. We had an amazing time. We got to see 3 different types of dolphins and two types of whales; and not just once. We had many sightings of dolphins and whales during our tour. A couple of times, the dolphins were following along with us - so magical to see them in their natural habitat and interacting with us ( and no we weren't feeding them). Although the crew told us we were very lucky to see 2 different types of whales; typically, you just see the sperm whales in that area. The boat was well kept, and the crew was wonderful. They gave us information about the species and spotted many different pods for us. The crew also made sure that the people rotated from the front of the ship to allow everyone time to see the dolphins and whales, although the ship had many good places to watch from. Definitely recommend this experience!

Captain Andrew, Olivia, and the naturalist were a great host. The naturalist shared his in-depth knowledge about the history of the whales. Their migration, food, and purpose of visiting Hawaii. I was surprised to know the depth of water, 50 - 200 ft, and the proximity to the coast the whales were swimming. We learned a lot from the naturalist. We were blessed to witness 3 different whales on our excursion. There were other tours when we did not see a single whale. A lifetime of experience.

This was an amazing whale watching tour! The biologist and the captain were very professional and courteous. They knew exactly how to find the whales that we saw and gave us the best show possible! I would definitely book with these folks again! Great job!!

The hosts of this trip were extremely professional, timely, and knowledgeable. We saw a few glimpses of a humpback whale and saw several dolphins. I would definitely do a trip with them again!

We had an amazing time. The crew were very knowledgeable and made our time worth every minute. We saw 5 different species of wildlife. We saw 3 different species of dolphins and sperm whales and humpback whales. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

What a great experience! The boat/was comfy and the staff very knowledgeable and informative. In 4 hrs, we saw spinner, spotted and bottlenose dolphins. Along with sperm and humpback whales. The humpbacks were the stars of the show with tail slapping, fin slapping and breaches. Simply breathtaking! Trying to catch photos is tough so just experience it. You’ll never forget it.

Phenomenal trip. The boat is the cleanest, most immaculate boat I've ever been on - everything is neat as a pin and comfortable. The operators were a wealth of information, greatly enjoyed their insights and commentary and in no way did it feel like a canned speech - just info as sightings occurred. I think it was nearly a full house but it did not feel crowded. We had a beautiful day for cruising, saw several dolphins and even a few early humpback whales. The operators seemed respectful and idled and maintained distance from the animals. Really enjoyed it--and even if you don't see any whales, you are getting a very upscale boat cruise for a few hours in a beautiful place.

The trip was very nice . We did get to see dolphins and sharks.There were some rude birdwatchers who hogged the view in the front of the boat and stood in front of everyone while moving through the water.

Just be aware that sometimes the whales and sharks are not going to show. Don't be disappointed because your Captain and crew make the entire trip fun and informative.

A simply awesome experience from beginning to end! Well organized and very informative. Seeing the pilot whales and 3 species of dolphins was amazing! I found my time out on the Artemis to be relaxing and a highlight of my trip.

We saw tons of activity! The boat and crew were fantastic, and very knowledgeable of the marine life and explained what we were seeing well. I would recommend it!
