Kona: 2.5-hour Whale Watching On A 41' Super-raft

The Body Glove team gave us the best experience of our trip. Number one their boat is very comfortable and fun. It was fast enough to give us an exciting ride, but comfortable enough that we didn't feel like we were going to fall off or had trouble holding on. The team was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area as well as the dolphins and whales that we saw. Not only did we get to see a lot of both of them, we actually found a spot where we heard a whale singing through the hull of the boat. So many good memories. They have about 15 people on board, but there is plenty of room for everyone. The fee was not cheap, but I feel it was very appropriate for what we got. Even if the service hadn't been great, the fee would have been appropriate for what we received. I paid more for other tours and had way less fun. After we got back to the bay, the captain did some fun stunts with the boat which was a nice added perk. The whole team was awesome and they know their stuff. I wish I had booked all of my other tours with Body Glove and next time around, I will! Definitely recommend this company 1000%!

Body Glove Hawaii assured our company that there would be smooth sailing even though we had asked prior due to high winds. It was so choppy that many of our colleagues vomited from the back of the boat. When we asked Body Glove Hawaii to make it right, they responded that the conditions were smooth and safe... as if we hadn't just experienced it. We had to cut the trip short and return due to the waves; no refund of any kind was offered.

I’m honestly still buzzing from our trip with Body Glove. It was easily the highlight of our time on the water. We didn't just see a whale or two; we saw so many different humpbacks, and one actually breached right near the boat—it was incredible to see that kind of power so close up. To top it off, we even spotted a whale shark, which I know is a rare treat, and had spinner dolphins jumping and playing around us all morning. The whole vibe on the boat was spot on. The music was fantastic and kept the energy up the whole time. Captain Erica was awesome and really knew how to find the action, while the naturalist and the rest of the crew were so accommodating and actually knew their stuff, answering all our questions without missing a beat. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a tour that genuinely delivers, this is it. We had so many opportunities to see the wildlife and felt taken care of the whole way. Thanks for an unforgettable day!

We really enjoyed our experience. The fact that it was a smaller sized boat made it feel more personalized. McKenna, the naturalist on board, knew a lot of information and answered all of our questions. The snacks were perfect. We enjoyed drinks like ginger beer, iced coffee, water or coconut water or root beer. Most importantly, e saw several whales. One or two gave us a great show with many beaches and tail slapping.

Olivia was a great guide! She is a wealth of information! There was someone on our boat that seemed unrealistically upset that we did not spot a whale within the first 20 minutes of our excursion. Olivia treated him with patience & kindness. While he was complaining to her, we saw a humpback whale! No more complaining after that. That made me think that maybe these tours should remind people when they are boarding that these "Whale Watching" tours can not possibly guarantee that they will see a whale, since these excursions are based on animal behavior out in the wild! If you want a guarantee whale performance....go to Sea World! With that said - I would definitely go on this excursion again with this company! I 1000% recommend!

Highly recommend Body Glove. Staff was informative, fun, and professional. Makenna, Tyler, Craig (I think I have the names correct) and any other crew I missed were as excited about our experience as we were. Fortunately, we saw many whales, almost continuously throughout our 2.5 hour boat ride. Makenna provided so many facts about the whales whenever there was a pause in the action. She explained what we were seeing and why whales were doing what they were doing that day. When in Kona, don't miss this experience.

We had such an amazing time it was our first time seeing any whales and it was very special! We had a very charismatic Captin and the two other crew were amazing too we learned so much and would love to come again!

Great boat, with comfortable seating! Wonderful, knowledgeable capitán and first mate Kosmos. We received clear instructions where to meet and were asked several times to be 30 minutes early. My family of six and two others followed these and were greeted by Britney. She told us not to get in line until others came and then walked off to find then. When she came back with the other 30 guest, she lined the up and the told us to join the line. We boarded last and were unable to sit together. Upon returning, we were seated at the exit point ( from boarding last), she stood here and blocked our exit so the others could get off first! Maybe it was old friends visiting her, but the experience would have been better if we could have enjoyed it as a family instead of being seated next to random people.

We had a great time. Saw 6 or 7 different whales multiple times in several groups as well as spinner dolphins. Crew was great, especially Brittany who was the naturalist. Highly recommended

The crew of the boat and the naturalist Brittany were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were pleasantly surprised at the great choices of beverages and snacks.

The government requires a 100 yard distance between the boat and the whales. I totally get that. But due to that distancling it becomes very far from the animal to see much of anything. I found it boring and not terribly exciting being that far away because you couldn't see much. NOT worth the money in my opinion. The tour guides and the boat experience were all excellent.

We booked this for a 41 foot super raft and when we checked in they never mentioned this had been cancelled. We walked down to the pier and all we saw was the large double deck boat. I went to the sales office at the pier and all he could tell me was it had been cancelled. I would not recommend Body Glove. They should have contacted us with options to either rebook for a different day, go on the larger boat or a refund. Also we did not see that many whales but that is always the chance you take.

Our whale watching trip was incredible! We had an amazing experience witnessing three whales traveling together, and one of them even breached right in front of us. Plus, the complementary drinks and snacks were just perfect, adding to the overall enjoyment of the moment.

This whale watching trip was excellent! The crew was very professional and knowledgeable about the sealife. We have been on whale watching tours on other vacations, but this was one of the best. Highly recommend it!
