Absolutely a must do tour! So many beautiful sightings we would have never seen via any other conveyance. The waterfalls were magnificent and the valleys surreal! Definitely do this tour!!! Jeff was a fabulous pilot and tour guide and very knowledgeable about what we were flying over and the terrain. The others working at the heliport were very friendly, helpful and professional. We will do this again next time we’re here. UNBEATABLE!

The experience was breathtaking.

This is a thrilling experience. It was my first time in a helicopter as well. They did a great job getting us comfortable with everything that was going to happen. Our pilot (Greg) was stellar. He talked a lot about the area on the way up, but once we hit the great views, he let the landscape do the talking. The entire experience is incredibly well curated. By that, I mean they have a soundtrack that is well timed to the experience and the music swells as the views get better. Truly every moment of this was first rate.

This is a “must do” activity if you are visiting the island. The views were just breathtaking and our pilot Mat was great!

Superb. This company rebooked us twice due to weather and also offered a full refund. The second rebooking succeeded. A superb flight that included the volcano that had stopped flowing just 18 hours earlier. Excellent aircraft and pilot who also offered very knowledgeable commentary during the flight.

This was the highlight of our trip! Matt was an amazing, experienced pilot! He knew so much information about the area. This was my first experience in a helicopter and I was nervous! However, from the moment we took off, I was totally as ease and loved every beautiful moment and scenery we saw! Just DO it!

Great tour with Bastian who was really knowledgable and professional. Jordan was great and he even introduced us to the in house black Lava Cat. We booked the volcano tour but it had recently erupted and there was too much smoke so we had to alter plans. Safety first. Thanks for the memory.

Unbelievable and unexpected viewing. My wife was extremely nervous about riding in a chopper, but her fears were completely vanquished within 1 minute. Unforgettable.

Was not able to enjoy due to microphone being used by a 5 year old the entire ride. We could not hear about the sights and could not speak as there was no end to child talking loudly . Consider other passengers who were not in their group and don’t let one person dominate the trip. I enjoy children but it wasn’t questions but constant shouting commentary and random thoughts and songs. Lack of consideration of others enjoyment for an expensive tour. I don’t blame the child but the pilot could have limited interaction. I didn’t want a video also recording not information about sights . I felt my time was wasted for 500 . Either book families separately from others if you want a tour by 5 year old.

First time in a helicopter. Fears subsided as soon as we took off. The Bose noise cancelling headphones worked very well! Magnificent views only available by copter. Even saw whales. Our pilot Shane was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. And his music playlist was spot on!

The view during the tour was spectacular, we flew above the valley, near the waterfalls and the coast, we even saw a whale thanks to the pilot ! The staff was very nice. The helicopter was very big (6 persons + the pilot) and we had enough room for the legs and shoulders, however the 2 back middle seats don’t have the best view but you still have a great view on the front. During the flight the pilot was very friendly, and gave us great info on the valley and you also have nice music in the headset ! Your seat is assigned according to your weight but they sat us both together (the bigger in the middle). Everything was great, we had a very nice time ! We will definitely do it again on a another island to discover more of it from the air.

A lot of tours end up being great but this was so much beyond that. It was an amazing memory that our family got to share together. Facility, staff, aircraft, and pilot were top notch. As we were flying over the cliffs and ocean with the perfectly selected music in the headphones, it was dream like. So well done and choreographed. Definitely recommend!

Very comfortable helicopters that seat 6 people. They take their safety seriously. The views of the beaches, Waimea and Waipi’o Valley were amazing. The cost was a little pricey (relative to other helicopter tours I’ve taken). Still worth it (if you can afford it).

Did the Kohala Coast Adventure tour and it was BEAUTIFUL. Great vistas, amazing seeing all the waterfalls, and the pilot was wonderful.

Pilot Ky was skillful & made us feel at ease at all times. He was personable & passionate about this tour and the area. This tour comes highly recommended.

Another great experience with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters! While this is a spendy experience, the views from the helicopter are incredible. Our pilot, Shane, took us along the coastline and into 2 different valleys to see waterfalls up close. These are areas you cannot get to by car or foot so seeing from the air is amazing. Towards the end.of our tour, another pilot reported seeing a whale. Shane took us to the area and there was a large whale shark we were able to see, even showed up in the video he took. Seeing the islands on a helicopter is an experience you should not miss.

Toshi was our guide and everything from start to finish was spectacular! The experience was once in a lifetime and I could not be happier that my husband decided to push both of us out of our comfort zones! The views of the waterfalls, cliffs and coastline were truly awe inspiring.

Waterfalls were spectacular! The ride was smoothe and our pilot even spotted a humpback whale and circled so we could see it.

Truthfully I was terrified at the beginning, but the pilot was awesome so patient and knowledgeable. Once we were in the air I was in awe of everything I saw! I was in seat 2 up front by the door and all the windows! Awesome experience! I will be doing this again somewhere! Worth every penny to see the Kohala Waterfalls in Hawaii!

Had a great time! Splurged for vacation and did the 50 minute Kohala coast adventure and got to see a beautiful lush part of the island that you can’t see from the car. Lots of beautiful waterfalls and had an informative pilot. Overall great experience! 😃

We had an amazing time! My husband and 10 year old were not thrilled about doing this, but they both ended up loving it. Our pilot, Hans, was super nice, professional and knowledgeable. This is something you must do on the Big Island if you can!!

Super friendly staff, the pilot was very professional, provided many additional info. The view was amazing, it is truly an unforgettable experience, even though it is quite expensive (not the offer from this company, in general the helicopter tours are very expensive). The background music during the tour was an absolute added value. The opportunity to buy the video about the tour is a huge adventage.

From the moment you arrive you can tell Blue Hawaiian knows what they are doing, beautiful little check in/shop, friendly staff, and safety measures. The tour itself was absolutely amazing, our Pilot Shane was very knowledgeable, friendly and took very good care of us up in the sky. The sights are so gorgeous they make you speechless!! 10/10 isn’t even a high enough score for Blue Hawaiian and their staff!
