We launch our adventure from Kailua Beach under the palms, and the sea-turtle search is on! Passing a small island on the left, you will start to see the final destination on the horizon.

Landing at the Mokulua Islands is a special experience limited to permit holders (that's you!). This wildlife sanctuary offers refuge to Hawaiian seabirds and endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals. Our guide/naturalists assist in protecting these creatures and you will be a part of those efforts. Hike through the volcanic sculptures to find Queen's Bath, a hidden tide pool that begs for a relaxing dip. Enjoy a picnic lunch of deli-fresh sandwiches while guides reveal the wild secrets of the island's formation.
Paddling along Lanikai Beach you weave through the coral gardens in the more turquoise waters in Hawaii. Snorkeling with turtles is a common treat with the sun warming the shallow waters.
It was a fantastic experience. My guide was Wesley who was just wonderful… very knowledgeable about waters, geography and wildlife. This company did a great job with communication from beginning pick up, to drop off. The value for money…. 100%. Highly recommend this business!
My better half - a travel agent - and I have done so many of these types of activities throughout the states, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. We’ve been so blessed to have met so many hard working, dedicated people. The tour itself and our guide, Wesley, were exceptional. The operator was as good as any we’ve encountered. And they raise the bar on the ‘exit through the gift shop’ with a beautiful retail shop. A worthy stop, even if it’s not on your way.

We did the Twin Island Kayak tour, and the trip was great! We had a lot of fun. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. I thought the tour left plenty of time for seeing the Moke island on which we stopped as well as snorkeling, and we were really happy!

Such a good experience, we got to see the baby monk seal and its mom and learned a lot about the island. Getting to swim in the queens bath topped off the whole experience. Definitely recommend!

One of the highlights of our trip! Beautiful clear water with sweeping views of the mountains and small islands. We saw a monk seal mom and her pup on the island as well as a sea turtle while snorkeling. Mike made sure we felt safe and well taken care of during a sometimes strenuous paddle - 4 miles round trip —but was well worth the secluded beach on the island, wildlife sightings, and tour of the island led by Mike where we saw volcanic rock pools, baby birds, and native plants. Very informational and beautiful!

Absolutely amazing! Our guide Avery was so personable, knowledgeable, and helpful during our to tour. The group size was small and at our pace. We saw a variety of sea birds, monk seals, eagle rays, and sea turtles. We will definitely be back and recommend to others!

I’ve rented kayaks at a handful of spots across Hawaii and this place stands out — largely because of Morgan. From the second we walked in, Morgan had this effortless, welcoming energy that immediately made us feel like we were in good hands. What really set Morgan apart was the level of detail. Instead of just handing over the kayaks and sending us on our way, Morgan took the time to walk us through the current wind conditions, the best window to paddle out, and exactly where to land on Moku Nui to avoid the rougher surf on the far side. That kind of local knowledge is genuinely invaluable when you’re heading out to open water.
Even in less than ideal conditions, Wesley (our guide) was great and the experience was amazing!

Had a blast! This is the second time we've done this tour. We have had several family members do this tour over the last 2 yeears. This time we brought our family who were visiting from east coast. It never fails to impress! We had Tommy as our tour guide twice - HE IS AWESOME; passionalte, patient, informative, funny, engaging, and first most importatnly respectful and knowlegable of Hawaiian land and culture. We did this tour with Tommy 2 years ago - and he has NOT changed. Still energenic and engaging. He made sure all in our party of 6 was having a great time. Everyone at Kailua Beach Adventures was helpful from check-in to drop-off. All the tours are well organized and great equipment. Hightly recommend this adventure!
This was a great trip, the highlight of our Hawaii visit so far. I went with my son and was nice to have a guide, also great we were in a tandem kayak, he could help the old man keep up. Beautiful paddle over to Mokulua, where we saw a monk seal and her offspring, which was really cool. Had lunch, then saw a couple of turtles while snorkeling. The return paddle was easier and faster because it was with the current. Waters were calm even with 15 mph winds; my son and I have both done some kayaking but aren't experts, and we found it an easy paddle. It is a good workout though. Was great to go with our guide Mike, who was fun and knowledgeable.
We did a guided kayak with Mike and the entire experience was excellent. We hadn't really kayaked before this but we were able to do it and the experience of being on the island is definitely worth it. 10/10 unforgettable experience being there. Anyone looking at this and on the fence about it should go for it.

Did the guided twin island kayak tour, our guide Justin was great - he got everyone comfortable on water fast and took us on a fantastic tour of the island. He even pointed out a family of sea turtles off shore we went snorkeling alongside, all around lived up to Island Adventure! Look forward to coming back.

Tupre our guide was awesome! 10 stars if we could give them! He was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable about the ocean, islands and wildlife we came across. We got to see turtles, all sorts of beautiful fish, shore birds, sea urchins, and a monk seal! We had to catch a flight later on and were debating if we should slip in this tour and so so glad we did. We had an amazing time with an amazing guide that made our time out to the Mokes one we will never forget.
