All around fantastic experience! Extra shout out to the entertainers, they really worked hard to put on a great show!
I booked this cruise at the last minute (day before) for my partner's 68th birthday. Everyone was very nice, the food was surprisingly delicious, the entertainment was good and the views from the boat were spectacular! There were birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons that were all acknowledged and celebrated. Singles, couples, families a good time was had by all. I recommend this cruise the experience made my guy's 68th birthday memorable.
Sunset dinner and cruise was fun, we had visitors from out of town who wanted to do something 'touristy'. We opted for the buffet dinner, which was good by buffet standards, the complimentary mai tai was ok, and the show was a bit loud, making conversation difficult. After we ate, we spent the majority of our time out on deck taking in the beautiful views of Waikiki and Leahi under a full moon. The view itself was worth the admission fee. The staff was accommodating and the cruise was punctual with the time scheduled. It's fun if you haven't done it in a while.
We were on our honeymoon and we had a very lovely time. all the staff members were helpful and nice. also the scenery was incredible especially the sunset. Captain Stephen was super nice and gave us an extra special experience. he prepared a rose for us and gave us a chance to take pictures at the right time and right place.
I was extremely disappointed with this experience from the moment we arrived at the boat. For approximately $320, I expected a beautiful, professionally organized Hawaiian cultural experience with quality entertainment, music, and hospitality. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The dancing was particularly disappointing. Instead of the graceful, beautiful Hawaiian performances I remembered from visiting Hawaii 30 years ago, we experienced extremely loud chanting, shouting, aggressive movements, and performers striking their own bodies. Some performances reminded me more of frightening rituals than the peaceful, elegant cultural entertainment I had anticipated. I understand that different Polynesian traditions have different performance styles, but this was not the experience I expected or enjoyed. The musical entertainment was equally disappointing. The two guitarists and accompanying musicians did not deliver the professional quality I would expect at this price. The organization was absolutely terrible. There appeared to be hundreds of people, perhaps 600, crowded onto the boat with virtually no clear instructions. Nobody explained where to stand, where to go, what activities were available, or what would happen next. People were bumping into one another, particularly around the doors, and everything felt chaotic and unnecessarily stressful. There was no proper introduction, no welcoming atmosphere, and very little communication from the staff. Instead of feeling like valued guests enjoying a special Hawaiian evening, we felt like we were being pushed from one place to another without explanation. The food was acceptable, but certainly not enough to compensate for the disappointing entertainment, poor organization, and uncomfortable atmosphere. I have visited Hawaii before and remember the beauty, elegance, warmth, and hospitality of its cultural performances. This experience was a tremendous disappointment compared with those memories. For approximately $320, the overall quality was completely unacceptable. The company needs to improve its organization, guest communication, crowd management, and entertainment standards. I left feeling that I had wasted both my money and my evening.
It’s a really neat experience, great food and we had a wonderful time! The show was very neat as well.
I had the greatest experience with my vacation at Waiki Hawaii. Honolulu Pacific Star Cruise was really great the meal was excellent on the cruise and the entertainment was very good. I would definitely recommend this. We also visited the Arizona from Pearl Harbor that was good you can still see the oil in the water and some of ship in the ocean. I would recommend seeing this also to honor the men who died here. I would also recommend the Circle Island bus trip we stopped at the Macadamia nut plantation and the Pineapple planation both nice to see. with this bus trip the bus driver pointed all the island points to see like big movie scenes from Jurastic Park
Quite pricey for the quality of food and overall service. Entertainment is good. Surprisingly, no safety briefing. Did not point out where the Lifevest or lifeboat are located.
This was a very nice evening. I was a little worried that it would be too touristy but it wasn't. The staff were friendly. The whole evening went smoothly, the food was plentiful, good, although a bit plain tasting, as they are catering to many tastes. My wish for the food was that it had been a little more Hawaiian based. We were given a complimentary Mai-Tai (Real or non-alcoholic as wanted) and plain water. All other drinks were purchase only. I do think, for the price paid that soda/ice tea should have been free. The company was good, crowd size manageable and the entertainment fun to watch. The conga line dance at the end was a throwback to the past, I enjoyed it, my husband thought it was too much. Overall it was better than I had expected
The stage lights hit you right in the eyes. The entertainment included a Lounge singer until after dinner. The Native e Hawaiian e Entertainment after dinner was good. The food was very good and a lot of it. We did not have a cruise for most of the trip. A lot of sitting in the harbor.
This dinner cruise is worth every penny spent the views were incredible. Dinner was done to perfection, prime rib was wonderful and less we forget best coconut cake ever.
This was a fun experience for me husband and I. The food was good, the entertainment was near, and the views gorgeous .
It is a worthwhile good ex everyone was friendly and accommodating the food was good the entertainment was greatperience
Fun show, great views and good food.
The food was absolutely delicious. The entertainment was very entertaining and the acoustic guitars and singing was a lot of fun with the sing-along songs that they did.
Very relaxing. The dinner buffet was exceptional. The after dinner entertainment was very educational and culturally enlightening.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable evening. The crew members were very warm and welcoming. The dinner was well prepared and tasty. The after dinner entertainment was very educational and culturally enlightening.
This was an amazing experience and it was special occasions for me and my wife 9th wedding anniversary.
Entertainment geared for tour bus clients not general tourist.x̌xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Every one of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the entertainment is absolutely the best!!! The Polynesian show is fabulous and informative all in one. The view from the 4th deck is stunning! I would recommend the cruise to anyone. You will not be disappointed
Food was delicious. It is a buffet. Boarding was organized, and the staff was nice. The weight was not long to board. Temperature was good. But other floors did have air-conditioning. Created they offer non-alcohol beverages as well as alcohol beverages.
The guy waiting on our table didn't ask if we wanted special drinks. He asked the tables on both sides of us but totally skipped us
This experience was amazing, my fiancé and I really enjoyed it. I booked it for his birthday and he had a great time.
Come hungry, it was a great experience, the views and ship were great. Great for large parties and multiple people.
Beautiful sunset and good food and Mai tai and the dancers were fun to watch
Great environment, delicious drinks, fantastic buffet. Would highly recommend to anyone for a special night in Oahu. The show from the dancers after was super fun and the singing throughout was amazing.
Nice Hula show before we even got on the boat, which they continued after dinner and the views of Waikiki after dark are stunning.
Food was great. Entertainment was fantastic. Got a little motion sickness. All in all was a good experience. Do friday night with fireworks
The staff is very friendly and the variety of food is great. The show was amazing. The desserts were delicious. We take this cruise again in the future.
We had a nice time on the cruise. Food was good, service was good, and the show was good. We had a nice time overall.
Good vibes! Friendly staff and great performers. Food was better than I expected. Friday night fireworks with a nice view to end the cruise was amazing. I enjoyed my experience.
The weather was not good. My daughter looked at the boat and saw it swinging so bad that it was giving her seasickness on the shore so we did not board the ship and lost our money
Very crowded. Food average. No commentary.
Very entertaining. Great food, great views The luau dancers were fantastic and the view from the top deck was unbelievable The sunset from the boat was great
Awesome highly recommend and just go up and watch the sunset then go eat. Also great service. Dancers were great.
Good time. Food was good. The water was a little choppy, but the view was awesome. The Polynesian show was good as well. I would recommend this activity.
We paid for steak and lobster that is what we were told then they switched it to buffet and bother same experience. We made do because we are family and I won’t do it again. The two experiences were as different as night and day.
It was a Rocky boat ride. The show that was put on was very good. Servers were very good and attentive and were very helpful.
My wife had to work in Waikiki for the week, but we took an extra day before going back to Los Angeles to take this tour. It was well worth it!!! The buffet was outstanding, the Mai Tais were delicious and the entertainment was quite fun. It was just the two of us, so we got seated with another couple from San Francisco. This is definitely a higher end cruise experience and well worth it!!! We went on a Friday so we got to see the fireworks as well!!!
It was overall pretty good - the food great and entertainment was good. The entire event seemed disorganized and confusing as to what we were to do and when things would happen.
So much fun! I brought my parents who were visiting from California for my dad's 93rd birthday and they had a wonderful evening. The entertainment was stellar and the service was impeccable. My only complaint was that choices were limited with the food at the buffet for my partner, who is vegan, but other than that, we all had an amazing time. Truly unforgettable!
The dinner was great and the show was a great experience. We had a beautiful sunset and took lots of pictures.
The experience in Star Honolulu was amazing!! Especially the captain’s hospitality was awesome! Thank you so much!!
It was a good evening filled with music and good food. Nice ambience and a show by Hawaiian dancers made our day.
It was not a good experience! Staffs are friendly, good view and such. If you like something different, then go for the view and live music on board. Other than that, good luck!
The trip was nice, the staffs were nice and friendly. I highly will recommended to everyone. A+++++++++++++.
Our server, Nolen, was fantastic! He really turned what started as a negative experience into a positive one by the end. His attentiveness, professionalism, and great attitude made a big difference. We truly appreciate his effort in making sure we left on a much better note!
Very good experience. Food was good, show was excellent. There were plenty of good opportunities to take good photos of Diamond Head and the sunset.
Arrive early. Be ready for a good time. Friday is the best day to book to see the fireworks from the ship.
