Honolulu Xr Bus Tour: Immersive Hawaii Experience "Xploreride"

Amazing experience. So much fun for both kids and adults! We all loved it and will definitely do it again when we are back to Hawaii. The pick up location is easy to find and was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. It was an exciting ride! Highly recommend!

It was a unique experience. However, there are some glitches. I took several photos but only 8 showed up in my queue.

It was an amazing experience and love to do it again. If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family or do something when it is raining, this is the one thing the whole family can do and enjoy. If you get a chance while visiting the island, I highly recommend this and it’s something you’ll never forget.

Absolute must do in Waikiki. Informative yet fun. It was the best 30 minutes of doing anything in Waikiki that I have done.

Lots to enjoy here. Mostly for kids and those who are still kids at heart. The 3D animation effects were fun. It was well worth the discounted price ($10 per person) that we paid by ordering online a day or two before. The bus and headsets were very clean. One or two people in our group had a little bit of dizziness or nausea by the very end of the half hour ride, but that didn't diminish their enjoyment of the ride.

Took my 88 year old mother for her birthday. It was her first experience with VR and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved hearing her ooh and aah over the images she was seeing during the ride especially her laughter when she had to grab the mana stones flying towards us.

The overall experience was fun. I can say I wasn't expecting the excursion to be virtual, however, we had a great experience. All I can add is to try it for yourself. If you have little ones they will definitely enjoy themselves.

Extremely lovely and enjoyable experience! The 3D creatures are very cute and the entite ride goes by fast as you take a circle around the town. Very polite staff and hope to come back for another version!

It is only 22 minutes long instead of 45 minutes as indicated in the description. And the price is a bit high for the 22 minute experience that you have.

Really fun immersive experience. Especially the giant virtual whales. Kids old enough to appreciate virtual reality would love it. Very nice tour guides who explained everything at the beginning. Bus and headset were new and spotless. Not easy to see the real world views clearly through the headset. It was definitely worth the price (I paid $10).

It was an interesting ride! I was fine but 2 people I knew got a little sick. I was okay myself. Very good for kids and for adults too!

We spent 10 days in Waikiki this month and were looking for a few activities away from the beach (waves were too rough for us.) Xplore Ride sounded intriguing, so my daughters (16 and 11) and I tried it and loved it! Such a unique VR experience and a fun new activity on the island beyond the beach. It's so well done and the staff took time to make sure everyone was able to use the VR masks properly. We loved the mix of graphics with the scenery outside as well the graphics that are totally immersive. Really a fun ride!

Awesome experience! Especially when the headset made everyone else on the bus disappeared. I really enjoyed the 360° view of the volcanoes and the sky.

Ive lived here 11 years and have NEVER gone on a bus tour. This was my first experience with virtual reality sets. The employees were so helpful and got everyone ready to go before starting. Legnth was 30 minutes. Cool Ac, nice leather seats. The bus was half empty, today they were giving away free rides as announced on KHON, so we didnt have to purchase a ticket. This was SUCH an amazing experience! Id definitely go again! Its great if you want to learn about Hawaiis history. This is a MUST if youre going to visit Hawaii! Mahalo for the ride! We enjoyed ourselves very much! Alot of "ooohhs" and laughter ☺️

It was an amazing experience!!! It was such a smooth ride and the graphics were so cool! I loved the interactive part with the mana stones, gave you the choice to choose what you wanted to see. I also love how they stressed ways to keep our natural resources healthy!

This was so much fun! The VR is smooth and easy on my eyes, I am prone to getting motion sickness with VR but I did not at all with these goggles. The manta ray host is cool and takes you through the natural wonders of Hawaii..it's so cool to look down at the floor and see fish swimming between your legs, look up and they're above you, with dolphins, whales, and all kinds of sealife following the bus when you look outside..kids will LOOOOOOOVE this, adults too. The end of the tour is beautiful too...worth a ride!

The Xplore ride was really fun and brought out the kid in me! If you know a little about VR and Mixed Reality, this experience starts off with Mixed Reality with nice fish and marine life around you and some light educational sections on Waikiki and the beaches. The ride does transition into full VR at times with underwater volcanic vents, above ground volcanic eruption, a 360 visual aerial view above the islands (nice!), and an underwater route with all sorts of aquatic creatures around you, known to be local to the islands and some nice coral (this was my favorite part). There is more light educational pieces dispersed in these full on VR parts as well. The movement of the bus really gives you the sense of “traveling” through the VR worlds and even the fish “swimming” through the bus in Mixed Reality was enhanced by the movement. Our host was wonderful and really explained everything well! The driver was very friendly too. The experience can be heard in Japanese or English. Too me, the only negative, though the headsets are of very high quality, was the pass through video of the outside was a bit unfocused when it was too far in the distance (like the ocean views near Diamond Head). Final thoughts are that it is definitely worth it and please consider supporting this business and others that bring the beauty of nature and the immersion of technology and imagination together!

This was my first time on a VR experience Bus Tour. I read through the information on the website because I couldn’t find any reviews and it stated specifically that the bus tour does not stop anywhere. This is a huge mistake because the VR keeps you from actually enjoying the view of Hawaii which is already limited from the bus, but limited even further from the graphics and distorted view from the VR goggles. I graphics and interactive features were just average (cheesy at times with a mix of child like cartoon features and real photos) and at times it was blocked the whole view of the outside. As many people with VR experience may know, the goggles can cause you to be dizzy. Having stops would actually allow people to prevent the dizziness and enjoy the view of Hawaii. Riding the bus with a VR goggles is just unnecessary, it would have been better to go on a VR ride than to make it a bus if they weren’t going to stop anywhere.

Really like concept of the virtual tour. Dope it was synced up with the location of the bus. Would recommend for fun and quick entertainment.

Wearing the head-mounted display, I was immersed in a world of digital content, with lifelike fish and marine animals all around me. The volcanic eruption was absolutely spectacular, adding a thrilling touch to the whole adventure.

I thought I would try it when I had time, but I still thought it was expensive, but it was cheap until June, and upon further investigation I discovered it was cheaper! We've got to do this. and sign up during the gap and join immediately He also showed me how to set up my phone, which I was unfamiliar with, just three family members on a big bus. Everything I see is like a dream, and I'm touched. And they sent me pictures of themselves that I could enjoy later on, and I think it was very good to see them.

I think this is a tour that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, whether you are new to VR. Although the official website said there would be no guide on board, I was relieved to know that a female Japanese staff member was on board all the time and could explain gently and carefully how to put the VR on.　 The VR experience was so real and exciting that even adults could speak. I was particularly surprised by the eruption of Diamond Head and the giant whales. The size of the giant whale in the 360° ocean was truly overwhelming and inspiring. This experience, where you can meet giant whales and sea turtles because you can't physically dive anymore, can only be experienced in VR, so adults should definitely try it.

I was able to see and enjoy the amazing Hawaii. The content was good. The tour time was just right. I also look forward to the new footage. The description of the person in charge is easy to understand, and it is OK for the elderly.

It was my first experience with XR and I really enjoyed it. It is a participatory option unique to Hawaii, and I feel like I learned a bit about Hawaii's history, culture and nature when I finished. It is recommended that those who are susceptible to motion sickness take medication in advance. It's a dreamy tour, so if you come to Hawaii, you should definitely try it.
