Honolulu Night Marchers Ghost Tour

It’s entertaining and based on Hawaiian folklore and legends. It was not scary and it felt a lot shorter then two hours.

Bring bug repellent. Lots of mosquitoes at night We had a nice small group so we got to hear about some crazy experiences!

Best ghost tour experience we've been on, if I could give other tours 4 stars to show how much this one deserves the fifth one, I would. Lopaka is an amazing storyteller and guide, excellent communication, very accommodating when we let him know we were running late. If we could do a full day tour with him, we would.

Very interesting. I would recommend not only travelers but to the locals & experience this. Like I thought I knew a lot about the marchers but within a short amount of time I have gain so much more facts about the night marchers &then some.

Excellent ghost tour. We had one day in Honolulu and this was a perfect way to learn about the culture and history. Our host was very knowledgeable and engaging. Great night. Off to Amazon to buy his book.

My family and I came to Waikiki for spring break immediately following the Kona low storm. As a result we were the only family who attended yesterday’s tour and Lopaka was gracious enough to host us on a private tour of the Waikiki night marchers. It was an amazing and intimate experience with stories filled with rich historical context that educated us on the history of the city and the night marchers. We look forward to attending another of his ghost tours our next visit.

Historic yet horrifying how little regarded for human life the religious zealots and royalty had. Walking through the banyan trees at night was creepy. Listen to the narrator closely because of a lot of detail. Visits the Korean and Vietnam war memorial. Walk is concentrated around the royal palace area.

Lopaka is a marvelous tour guide, historian, teacher, spiritual guide and an authentic Hawaiian gentleman. Spine-tingling stories you will never forget. This is one of the most meaningful tours I've ever had the pleasure to experience. I will always think of Lopaka as a treasured friend. And, you, my friend, talk good story.

Mr. Lopaka gave a great tour. The combination of true history with paranormal encounters is definitely captivating, and makes for an excellent outing. Those who like the paranormal thrills as well as those seeking to understand more about history and hawaiian legend won't be displeased. All and all, a thrilling and informative experience. The Honolulu Night Marchers Ghost Tour was an unforgettable experience. I truly felt privileged to be part of it. Lopaka was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and easy to talk to, and it was especially meaningful to hear stories passed down from his mother and family. Learning directly from locals added so much depth and respect to the experience. The images and stories shared during the tour were absolutely chilling. I even took a few photos during the walk that I know were clear when I took them — but when I looked at them later, they were mysteriously blurry. I’ll try to attach them because it honestly gave me chills. This tour is more than just a ghost tour — it’s history, culture, and storytelling woven together with wisdom and respect. Lopaka shares his knowledge in a way that feels genuine and thoughtful, and you walk away with a deeper appreciation for Hawaiian history and traditions. This is definitely a must-do if you’re visiting Oʻahu. Highly recommended. I also loved the little orange cat :)

The guide was very knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and the Night Marchers. It was the right amount of walking and resting and the information presented was approprite for all ages.

We walked around honolulu and were told stories of history and spirits... Lopaka is a great orator. Wear comfy shoes.

He shared the legends of the Night Marchers and other chilling tales, weaving in history and culture in a way that left us with a deeper respect for Hawaii’s past. By the end of the night, it felt less like a tour and more like a personal journey into the spirit of the islands. Having the chance to meet Lopaka personally was an honor, and I look forward to hearing more of his stories—and maybe even reimagining some of these legends in new ways. Highly recommended for couples, history buffs, and anyone fascinated by the occult.

This tour was a beautiful marriage of culture and community, exposing both the rich culture of Hawaii and the warring traditions that carry through time and into today. My family of three teenagers , my husband and myself found ourselves transported through time with our expert guide who with every word took us deeper into the darker side of paradise. This is not a tour to miss, a true “must do” on your list of Waikiki activities.

Lopaka, the guide, was very knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and lore. He Actually showed us some paranormal evidence that made you reconsider your preconceptions of ghosts and spirits. Good tour for all ages and all physical abilities; I used a sit down walker. Very enjoyable and spooky evening.

Alot of information and learned alot. Lopaka is very knowledgeable. Wish we went across the street to the cemetry. Great stories.

This is the ultimate experience, with the most knowledgeable guide! My sisters and I are already trying to plan our next trip! If you’re a big fan of history, local lore and paranormal, definitely take in this tour!

Went with the family and had a great time! Lopaka was awesome and an excellent story teller. There was a lot of history mixed with legends of Hawaii. Might be a little scary for younger kids but still worth taking them. It’s all centered around the government buildings so minimal walking. Highly recommend!

The stories accompanied by photos/videos were so interesting. The whole family enjoyed it. The host made it interactive and had the whole group talking with each other.

Lopaka is a great storyteller, and we learned some interesting history along with the ghost stories. It was a super easy walk around the square, and you get to hear some really cool ghost stories!

I don’t recommend this tour. The guide did not engage us and frankly, stories were so broken and without background, we felt confused the whole time. He seemed very knowledgeable but storytelling and group engagement was non-existent.

Fantastic! Excellent mix of history, ghost stories and culture. Our tour guide was brilliant - a true bard, weaving stories and experiences into exciting narratives. He was also conscious that there were two 10-year-old children in the group, and he let us know that the adults could walk with him between stops for the more gruesome details if they liked, but he was leaving them out of the main narratives. If you're into paranormal things, this is for you (but take your meds before you go - it's a bit interactive). If you're a bit of a cynic, enjoy the creepy ride! It's a great way to spend an evening in Honolulu.

This tour is enthralling! It’s so interesting to learn ghost stories from other cultures and to be able to walk the paths of some of the royalty that lived in our most beautiful state. Highly recommend.

It’s not just scary stories but had a lot of cultural history woven in along with activities we don’t want to spoil. Recommended
