Hilton Hawaiian Village Turtle Snorkel With Optional Lunch

Cancelled 2 times due to “weather”. A little frustrating when the morning trips left on all occasions and you’re pretty sure they cancelled due to poor numbers. 2 very disappointed daughters! Company easily could have communicated with us to do the morning cruise.

Once we were able to get in the water we were told you needed to be an intermediate or advanced swimmer because the turtles would be in an area 100 yards away from the boat. This deterred several people in our party so they never got to see any turtles. I feel like that should have been stated in the booking or the boat should have docked closer (there was another boat closer). Overall, it was good and the guides were great and we saw several turtles I just felt bad for the people in our party that didn’t get to see them.

The crew was great! Very knowledgeable , friendly and helpful. We saw several turtles during our snorkel then got to enjoy a catamaran ride and drinks too. We highly recommend them!

Excelllent communication. Our original tour date was cancelled and we were offered a full refund or we could rebook for another day. Glad we rebooked. The experience was perfect. The tour guides were friendly and professional.

Fantastic crew and captain (captain nick, crewmates nick, and mike?). They quite literally sprang into action when a passenger got injured in the water by a jelly fish. I have never felt more safe, secure, and well taken care of during this excursion. I’d would use this company with this crew anytime time I’m back again on the island. Great experience and fun!

We had an AMAZING time! The crew were awesome and accommodating. But, snorkeling with the turtles,and all the different types of fish around us, was unbelievable!! We had an added surprise on our way back in when dolphins started swimming with the catamaran next to us, and then in front of ours! It was the highlight of our week on Oahu! HIGHLY recommend!!

Convenient location, but serious safety concerns. We chose this company because we were staying at the Hilton and the on-site departure was very convenient. Unfortunately, I did not feel safety was a priority once we were in the water. There was roughly one guide for every 10 snorkelers, no guide or rescue board watching from behind, and everyone was basically left to keep up on their own. The biggest concern came when my wife developed severe leg cramps in the water. I had to help swim her back to the boat myself, and when we got there, our guide was already on the boat taking a shower. In my experience with other snorkeling companies, guides stay with the group until everyone is safely back aboard. If you have children, inexperienced swimmers, or novice snorkelers, I would choose another excursion. There are plenty of other turtle snorkeling options in Waikiki that provide much closer supervision.

This was a great experience. We saw many turtles and too many beautiful fish to count. The crew was great. The only criticism I have is that the lunch could have been a little more substantial given the price of the experience.

First-class operation all the way. Corin, our captain, was awesome, as were the other two crew members. It's obvious they were concerned about our safety above all else, which we appreciated. Highly-recommended.

We got tricked into getting a discount compared with other similar snorkle with tourtles trips, life jackets were cheap and uncomfortable, we couldn't get of the safety pad and the instructor was more intrested in retrieving a falling snorkle in the water than helping myself and my kids to feel comfortable and get off of the safety pad, she just left us immediately and did not even care if we are struggling or not, and I saw other trips had the proper hard back and front life jackets but this trip had cheap blow up vest, my teen kids were not able to balance in the waves because the vest kept flipping them side to side. I do not recommend this company pay a bit extra and do it right, we waisted close to 600$ on this trip which we greatly regret. I wish if we paid the extra coupl of hundred and enjoyed or at least seen a tourtle for real.

Loved it! The crew was awesome, and the boat ride and snorkeling were first-class. We had a blast swimming with the Sea Turtles!

This excursion is way over priced! This should be advertised as a beginner snorkel trip The all women crew treated us like we were children . After a very long talk once we got in the water they wanted us to stay on a big mat and hear them talk again and all stay in a group to snorkel . Fyi They do make everyone wear a life jacket as well . The only good part about as seeing some turtles and some fish and easy to enter the catamaran from the pier by the Hilton , but it’s definitely not a good excursion for experienced snorkelers. The crew made this an absolutely terrible experience which was a trip we planned on Father’s Day for the dads with us, they didn’t even try to make it fun for us and we’re so uptight , afterwards I complained to the company and they accused us of having people in our party being under the influence of substances when none of us use drugs and only my husband and I had two drinks each . I highly recommend using another company if you want to have a good excursion! And not waste your money !

The two guys (the Capt and Jaxson) were great. The young lady was rude. I was told to get in the water so I did. I started to swim towards the area. She called me back and treated me as if I was not able to handle myself. She treated me like I was not capable to perform. She assumed because of my age and body type that I would need help. I'm almost 74 and 5 foot 10 inches tall weigh in at 235. She assumed I was to old and to fat to do the event. I cycle around 150 miles a week. I'm PADI cert. and I do some hiking with my 20 year old Granddaughter. I played football for many years and can take care of myself. She was just rude. I usually tip 50.00 per crew member but I only tip 100.00. I'm sorry that the rest of the crew had to split it with her.

We were staying at the Hilton and did this trip on our last day. A great way to wrap up the week. The crew of three was fantastic. One went in the water with us as we snorkeled and she made sure everyone was comfortable and getting the most out of the trip. After snorkeling, we had a nice lunch as the boat sailed along Waikiki.

Excellent experience. Boat Captain Corrine and the crew were fantastic. A lot of sealife available and the crew member in the water with the snorkelers was very adept at spotting additional sealife so that we had the fullest experience. This is a must do again experience.

Experience was OK. Can’t say I fully recommend. We were in a smaller group and thought we’d get a more personalized experience and hands on assistance with trouble shooting through snorkeling gear etc. however, one of the members in our party had a leaky mask and was struggling quite a bit. Upon telling the members about it, they did not help or ask if a new mask would help. It was more of a “suck it up” response. They were nice and served drinks but really felt stand-offish when it came to actually assisting in ensuring snorkeling equipment was functioning properly. This really ruined our experience and id pick a tour where they provide more a more personalized approach to the snorkeling experience.

Water wqas so cloudy did not see one turtle. They did take our $$$ and wanted a tip. Crew had to know this and should have cancelled tour

Amazing experience and saw so many turtles! The crew were incredible and we had an incredible time!!

So much fun!! we swam with the see turtles, had a lite lunch and open bar. Captain and crew worked hard and were friendly and fun!!

Best part of our Hawai’i vacation!!! Austin was an excellent captain, super chill and laid back but was very professional when it came to passenger safety. Andrea, Whitney, and Sofia were very friendly and made the experience that much more memorable. If you don’t book this trip you will regret it. It was the most relaxing boat trip and snorkeling adventure. We saw turtles, dolphins and tons of fish. Best crew I’ve dealt with on a boat adventure! 6 outta 5 stars

Captain Corinna and her crew were absolutely amazing!!!!

Should be 5 out of five! My phone wouldn’t get me to 5. Crew was Nick, Nick and Brad. They were fantastic. Cold beverages (adult ones too) and great wrap for lunch. Oh- plus we saw turtles and hundreds of fish!

So much fun! Nick(s) and the other captain were awesome. Saw bunch of turtles. Really a wonderful time.

We booked this snorkel and cruise experience once we saw that it launched right from our hotel making it super convenient. Personally, I am not a huge fan of swimming in the ocean. I went along more for my family but ended up enjoying the entire experience mainly due to an amazing staff. We were given concise instructions delivered in a light-hearted and chill vibe that put me at ease. The guide in the water was extremely knowledgeable and clearly enjoys sharing the experience with customers. The water was crystal clear and refreshingly warm. Saw lots of fish and turtles too. One surfaced right next to us that was estimated to be 60 years old. So cool! The snorkel hour was followed by a lunch on board and an enjoyable cruise along the coastline. The crew was very attentive to everyone's needs whether it was answering questions or refilling your drink. The boat was spotless, including the head. There was plenty of space to move about the boat regardless of the number people on board.

Had an awesome time with captain Nick and his crew. Easy adventure with our 9 and 11 year old children! They loved riding up in the front of the catamaran and seeing a few turtles on the snorkel!

Snorkeling was an amazing experience, and Nick, Corinne and Tiffany were great hosts. They made sure that safety came first, and packed in tons of fun and educational information in the few hours we spent snorkeling and sailing.

It was a wonderful experience even though the weather was suboptimal. The crew was very attentive and nice. We even got to see a turtle in spite of the rain.

We had an awesome trip. Wasn’t crowded - we basically had the boat to ourselves. All the staff were great - Corinne, Nick and Gino were our crew. Beautiful catamaran- updated. It was next level to be able to walk right down the beach from our resort and get on the boat. We got to swim with turtles- great snorkeling. 10/10

We saw several turtles when we were snorkeling, as well as lots of fish on the reef. Better snorkeling than Hanauma Bay, because it was not as crowded. We also saw more turtles surfacing while we were sailing, and an entire pod of dolphins was circling our ship and performing for us. The weather was mild, and the crew was very helpful. Minimal swimming is involved, so this is ideal for any fitness level, unless you are nervous in deep water. Everyone wears life jackets, and the crew does emphasize safety first.

The turtle snorkel was fun! Even from the boat we were able to see a turtle. Lunch was nice. The crew was great! I'd recommend this excursion!

This experience was for me and my kids. Before booking, whoever I had spoke with told me the experience would be kid friendly and the instructor’s would be helpful. I had told him we weren’t the best experienced swimmers, he said not a problem because we would have life jackets and again the instructors with us to. The instructors we had definitely weren’t as helpful and didn’t make the experience for my kids as memorable as I had hoped. My younger daughter wanted to get back on the boat, one of the guys (whoever’s birthday was that day) had asked if we wanted to get back, we said yes. As we were holding the floating mat and he was pulling us towards the boat, he the stopped and walked away. My daughter asked, “I thought he was pulling us back to the boat”. We swam back to the boat (wasn’t too far). I had discussed my experience with a local there and she said, some will give you a great experience and some are there just for the money, definitely didn’t get the great experience. I would hope for future they would be more considerate with children and try to make their experience better than we had. Actually be more present, rather than just hanging out on the board after giving instructions. Not all of us are experienced with snorkeling, some of us just wanted a fun, memorable experience.

We had a great time and will do it again . The guys were great and very patient . They have a great personality, our crew members were Chris , Nick , and Mikey . They were the best and will look for them next time we snorkel with the turtles . Joe and Diana

Was a nice small group Austin the Captain was really informative and friendly also Whitney 1 & 2 were really friendly and helpful and made sure we had a really good experience. We saw lots of turtles & pods of Dolphins. The only negative was that due to other tours having so many more peoples on board the area was crowed but thanks to the team the experience was still really enjoyable.

Saw lots of sea turtles and tropical fish. Crew was personable and pointed out turtles and starfish and more. Beautiful views.

Excessively overpriced for the experience! It felt rushed, and very short. We probably saw one turtle at best. We were taken to a spot where everyone else and all the boats were docked for snorkeling so I think the turtles never got even close to us. The food was terrible ( it was a lettuce wrap with barely any turkey) like everything else in the island there are hidden fees, what you think you’re paying for , at the end is something else. Oh well it’s done 😩

We had an incredible time! The guides were really informative and made us feel at ease in the water. Helped our 6 yr old with understanding how to breathe and even let him "drive the boat". The staff was very friendly and would highly recommend them!

Excellent experience. Sail was on 8/23, afternoon... Captain was extremely professional , competant, and funny...she was the best! Whole crew fantastic. Tip: Company should Install grips on sides in passageway from resrooms.

Our family, including two kids age 5 and 11, had an amazing experience on the snorkel trip. The crew was great - kind, careful, and succinct. They made sure everyone was safe and comfortable in the water. They kept a watchful eye on everyone. My 4 year old was even able to swim the 100+ yards from the boat to turtle cove. We saw a lot of fish AND a turtle up close! We did not do the lunch option, but there were snacks and drinks available on the boat (which was very clean btw!).

This was one of the best snorkel trips I have taken so far. The boat was clean and the staff was so friendly. Captain Nick, Nick and Jessie were professional while maintaining a relaxing vibe. They were very attentive as we got on and off the boat and into the water. We were guided to so many turtles and our guide, Jessie continued to share her knowledge of the sea. We saw turtles, and other sea life so close and intimate. The visibility was spectacular. One of the best parts after leaving the turtle cove, we went back to the boat and held on to a large blue floater and were towed a bit before rebounding. Then we had a yummy complementary lunch with two refreshments AND a beautiful tour around while we took in the view and dried off. Worth every penny. Once in a life time experience.

Had a fantastic time snorkeling! Tons of fish, turtles. Sabrina educated us on reef life and helped us with our diving. Captain Nick and the other Nick were fun and accommodating hosts. The cruise around the bay was an unexpected highlight.

We had the BEST time on the snorkel/sailing trip. Austin, Whitney, Jessy and Eliza were so nice, informative and attentive. I highly recommend you take this trip.

Great snorkel! Capt Nick and his crew were awesome and took great care of us. Great spot for seeing turtles and lucked out by seeing a school of porpoise swim by! Will go see them again next time!

We had so much fun on the snorkel tour of Turtle Canyon! Nick, Corinne, and Paiven did an amazing job. We plan to repeat the experience next time we are in Honolulu!

Beautiful boat, clean facilities, friendly and patient crew, amazing views, cool experience! My son and I weren’t comfortable swimming in the ocean to the turtle viewing area so we stayed on a mat the crew provided. Overall, the cruise was fun and a nice experience.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, day, or crew. Nick, Corinne and Tiffany are amazing. Every moving piece, from going to turtle canyon, accommodations, and sailing after was absolutely incredible. I can see why there was a couple who did the morning cruise, just to return for the afternoon adventure to be on the water. GoPro footage and experience will make up for getting wet on the net!!
