Great foodie bike tour! Guide Kelly is very informative about Hawaii’s culture, local food places and authentic tastings! Enjoyed by whole family! Perfect route and use of time! Best way to try traditional dishes, supporting local small businesses and burn some. Calories! 🌸
Amazing bike tour! I learned so much and the food was amazing! I was not expecting that much food and it was local places! Definitely recommend!
enjoyed our ride through Honolulu - lots of great food and a beautful ride. Awesome time!
Thank you, Kelly, for a beautiful day of bike riding and Hawaiian food! We lucked out to get a day of sunshine between the rain, and you worked with us to get the best possible experience. 2 seniors (in pretty good shape) -- we felt it was the right amount of riding and eating. Food was delicious and varied. My favorites were fish tacos and shaved ice! You took us places that we would have never visited and followed up with video montage and yelp links to all restaurants. Mahalo!
Kelly was a fantastic guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. He shared great island history throughout the ride, which added so much to the experience. The food at every stop was amazing; each place was a standout. A really special bonus was that Kelly made a lovely video of the entire tour and sent it to me afterward. Such a thoughtful touch! This tour was a highlight of my trip and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
Kelly was a terrific tour guide - full of LOTS of information about LOTS of things! Loved that he shared tons of recommendations by text so we can go back to some of our faves. Maladadas, poke, cooked fish, Hawaiian food, shaved ice all sooooo yummy. My Aloha shirt making big waves now that I’m home and such a great souvenir! Would have liked more biking, longer distances between stops (good to digest food too) otherwise would be 5 star (wished I could give 4.5 star).
A great way to become familiar with high-quality, affordable food options around Waikiki area. At the end of the ride, I was almost full that I skipped dinner. The guide, Kelly, was super friendly and his navigation was clear and always safety-oriented. The road was smooth and did not have many ups and downs. Perfect tour to start a stay in Waikiki.
Great selection of food. Kelly was a fun character and an encyclopedia of knowledge of the islands. He took really good care of us.
Our flight was delayed that made us miss the tour. The host was very kind and generous offering us to get on a different tour at different times. However due to the conflict scheduling we were not able to do so and he is kind enough to give us the refund. Will totally book again next time we come back.
Great day out on the bikes! We stopped not only at some great restaurants but also at some neat historical sites. He knows not only good food but also all about the city. So everywhere we went he has little speakers on the bikes so you can hear exactly what he’s saying! He is very knowledgeable about this whole state - past present and future. Kelly was very good with helping me find foods that I would eat since I do have a few food restrictions. The tacos at South Shore grill were great! I got the chicken since I do not eat fish. I also tried some local Hawaiian dishes that were very good too! Highly recommend tour!
I was surprised when I realized the size our tour group was just me, my wife, and our guide, Kelly. It's good that the tour wasn't canceled becuase of the small size. The tour route was very good; not too far, mostly flat, into the neighborhoods. Kelly was an excellent expert guide with insights into Oahu and the foods we ate. We went from tour talk to small talk to personal stories to good conversations. There was a little danger element to add excitement dealing with the cars and traffic, but Honolulu feels safer than biking in Chicago or New York City. The food was very good, I'm glad to have had the opportunity to sample different flavours.
What a fun tour! You know you hit some great food spots when you can’t wait to get back to some of the places you hit. And we did! I personally don’t love seafood, but we were introduced to some amazing food - fish tacos, out of this world salmon (I know, salmon?? Yeah, it was amazing), ahi steaks, and poke. So much amazing food!
We’ve lived in Oahu for a year and weren’t quite sure what to expect on a foodie bike tour in Waikiki, but boy were we happily surprised! We went to places we had never been despite driving by them many times, and were blown away by a fresh perspective from our guide and visiting the area on bike! We’ve already been back to a couple of the places on our tour! Great experience that gets you outside the Waikiki strip but is still super convenient! Highly recommend!
This tour was a mixed bag for me. The food selections were tasty and the set up was well executed... bikes and helmets in good condition, safe biking awareness and paths, and a clever system in place to hear Kelly talk while we biked. I would have preferred he talk more about the history of Hawaii and its food and less about his business, personal interests, and opinions/jokes, many of which made me deeply uncomfortable and upset. For this reason, I could not recommend this tour to friends who were also visiting the area.
The Hawaiian Foodie Tour with Bike Tour Hawaii was a perfect experience enjoying food that we would never have found on our own. The variety of taste treats and pace of the bike ride was perfect. Kelley, our guide, was professional and hosted a great tour with just the right amount of local flare. We highly recommend Bike Tour Hawaii and look forward to trying their other tours on our next visit. Mahalo!
We have done many food tours but never one on bikes. It was truly enjoyable! Biking allowed us to get away from downtown and enjoy hidden gems in local neighborhoods. The food was very good and plenty to eat! Kelly has tremendous knowledge of Oahu which was shared along the way. Highly recommend!
My daughter and I went on a bike tour to celebrate her 14th birthday, and it was a FANTASTIC experience. Despite it being a slower season, Kelly took exceptional care of us. As someone with a disability, I appreciated his patience and accommodating pace. There was more than enough food, and Kelly even went the extra mile by treating my daughter to a few drinks not included in the plan. Not to mention the incredible many photos he took on his phone of us. Without us having to ask (extra bonus points). When the tour was over he informed my daughter he will be creating a video for her of her bday and label it her 14th birthday bike food tour. He offers military discounts, and maintains his bikes impeccably. The routes were perfectly planned. There wasn’t a question my daughter had he didn’t answer. Not to mention the impeccable list of awesome AFFORDABLE restaurants to visit while we are on vacation. We departed full and happy. I highly recommend this tour and Kelly's company.
Do you like bike riding (not strenuous, just strolling), Hawaiian history/fun facts, and DELICIOUS local food? This is the perfect tour to start a vacation. We learned so much from our tour guide, Kelly. He made sure we were always safe on the road and our bellies were full. This tour is a great bang for your buck - the best tour we had during our trip and well worth the money! Thanks again, Kelly! Warning - Do not eat before this tour starts!
Kelly has created a fabulous food tour of Honolulu, he took us to many different and fun places. All the food choices were delicious although huge portions so we opted to share. The bikes were really good, comfortable and lightweight. Bring novice bikers Kelly took good care to make sure we were safe and happy cycling. Kelly also chatted to us on the way with snippets of history and local interest. All in all, we highly recommend.
Such an amazing trip a lot of fun and Kelly was humorous and knowledgable! 10 out of 10 recommendation to explore genuine local food
Kelly was great, sharing his local knowledge. Great way to taste different foods. Local businesses were great.
Good way to experience Honolulu and Waikiki. Plenty of food at a relaxed pace. An excursion for everyone. Love the local food at local places.
This tour rates "top notch" in my view. Every minute was exceptional! Fun, informative, safe, and friendly. I was impressed by the food tasting venues - unique, local, and delicious. I felt good supporting the local people, and watching the welcome and smiles we generated. The organization, leadership and overall opportunity opened my eyes and taste buds to the beautiful culture and scenery in Waikiki. I would do it again!
Kelly was a wealth of knowledge and totally appreciated his support of the local restaurants. Food was fabulous.
PHENOMENAL TOUR, FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE from start to finish! Kelly (the tour guide) pulled back the curtains and gave us exclusive insider access to Oahu! It was great to experience the local flavor/culture & to see the beauty of Waikiki on wheels. Kelly is very passionate about what he does, he is engaging and personable.. His enthusiasm & narration made the seven mile ride an ABSOLUTE breeze. The fish tacos, blueberry scones, poke, shaved ice, and malasadas were absolutely delicious! This was our FIRST time to Oahu & we highly recommend this tour! 5 STARS -entertaining & informative! Thanks from Houston!
Great food tour, safe riding Kelly knows his stuff and delights in sharing his knowledge of the Hawaiian food scene
Kelly was a fantastic guide! He was knowledgeable, caring, and polite to everyone he came in contact with. I would highly recommend this tour to visitors. We love going on food walking tours in new towns and enjoy riding bikes. This was a perfect combination of both. We certainly enjoyed tasting many new foods and have already gone back to some of the restaurants.
The bike tour leader led us on a very interesting food tour, stopping at all the Hawaiian hotspots —fish tacos, blueberry scone, poke, shaved ice & malasadas at Lennerd’s. The traffic was a bit busy but that is out of the leader’s control. We learned a lot about Oahu.
If you are looking for a fun informative tasty tour this is the one to take. The distance between the various places is a bit too far to walk to so the nice 7 speed bikes make the tour perfect. Kelly gives you lots of information via speakers on the bicycles as you ride along. The riding distances are not very far so this isn't a difficult bike ride. about 5-6 miles total in 4 hours. The food was delicious variations from tradition Hawiian food, local food (there is a difference) and quite a few sweets. I liked the Fish tacos and the ice shavings the best. Kelly deeps an eye on you as you ride along the bike lane on the streets but at other times you are riding thru parks. Lots of water supplied (and needed). Yes it is a bit expensive but you get a good bicycle, helmets, a GREAT tour guide, delicious food and a wonderful afternoon. FYI if you think we look silly we wore our BIG floppy hats under our helmets. They worked but looked bizarre. My husband and I are in our early 60's in decent conditon (BUT NOT GREAT) and we had a wonderful time. I would do it again.
Fantastic narration by tour guide via speakers on bicycles, Great 7 speed bikes, Beautiful scenery, Delicious, tasty, scrumptious food. Lots of water. Kelly our tour guide was the best.
Kelly is just a good, down-to-earth person. He made the tour fun and relaxing. The food was tasty and the overall experience is one I’d recommend to friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kelly! I would definitely recommend this tour to others.. you rode for about 7 miles and hop on & off throughout the afternoon. The trip is 5 hours, so you definitely want to be comfortable on a bike for this tour. The tour was from 1-5 pm, so a considerable amount of time. We learned a lot throughout the tour thanks to Kelly wearing a headset and attaching Bluetooth speakers to each bike. We visited 5 food shops and got plenty of food at each stop. Kelly took 140 photos of our tour and air dropped them to us at the end of the tour. He also sent them via Dropbox as a back up. 1 day after the tour he sent is a YouTube video of our day. This was above and beyond! I've been on dozens of tours across the globe and no tour guide has ever made a video or taken more than 1 or 2 pictures of our group. We were a group of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. All of us enjoyed the tour and it's variety of food, mural stops, and paths through parks and on roads. Highly recommend!
Had a great time on this food tour. We did this early in our visit to Hawaii, so we got to try some new foods that we then ate throughout the rest of our visit. It was well-paced, we had plenty of food, and it was super informative. Also of note: this was our favorite shave ice in all of Hawaii. We kept trying it, but nothing was as good as the one we had on this tour.
Kelly was so much fun and simply amazing!!!! He made us feel totally safe and right at home!! He was so friendly and familiar with all of the locals. He was informative and educational. Most importantly, this was my favorite excursion.
What a great experience. Kelly is knowledgeable and planned the perfect trip. He included all of the local restaurants that we would not have found on our own. He is a pleasure to hang out with. The bikes were in great condition. A 7-Mile tour of the area and we are not cyclists. We stopped often and didn’t notice it was time to conclude the tour. I highly recommend the experience. Book it- you won’t regret it.
Kelly showed us some amazing food sites. He had a great energy and made us feel like friends. The food was all “ono”.
Amazing trip. This was may favourite activity of my holiday. Kelly was really fantastic, lots of history, humour and amazing food finds. Highly recommend
My favourite afternoon of my trip. Kelly lead a beautiful bike tour, with lots of information about the area and history and the food was just fabulous. Highly recommend.
First, the technology - superb. We were given maps and images showing exactly where to meet. We sent a text asking for assistance with finding parking, and we received prompt and accurate guidance. The boom boxes on the handlebars were great. Second, the bikes - beautiful. Most importantly, Kelly was a fabulous guide, very passionate about the efforts made by the local food community to stay in business. The food itself was great. There is no better way to sightsee than on a bicycle! Carl and Cindy
Kelly did a great job taking us through parts of Honolulu that we would not have known to venture into. All of the places we went were family owned, which we LOVED, and the food was exceptional. Kelly took pictures of us everywhere and sent them to us afterwards so we really didn’t need to worry about anything. He’s a super interesting dude, too, and was a pleasure to hang out with. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely go on the tour again.
Excellent tour. Highly recommend doing this early in your trip if you're going to be staying around Honolulu. Kelly is gregarious and you will end up chatting with all the locals he knows which gives a nice perspective on what local life is like. It is city biking, but it felt safe even for the people in our group who aren't used to that. Nice bikes, comfortable helmets. Provided lots of water, it's not too strenuous so it's a pretty relaxed tour.
Great food, knowledgeable host. Felt tour could have been a bit shorter. Enjoyed the variety of stops.
Kelly was the perfect host and made the whole foodie experience all the more better. Every stop had something special to offer and we got to taste food that was mostly all new to us both. the "Poke" was a complete surprise and this seems to vanish within seconds. The bikes were top quality and it was very obvious that Kelly took great pride in his business. His knowledge of all the locations and food was perfect as was all the information he passed onto us for future places to eat around town at bargain prices. Great to meet to Kelly and you made the day a truly delight all round. Would I recommend this to visitors, yes most certainly and you do not have to be a cycle expert to get off the beaten track and go for it, you will have lots of fun and food along the way.
FANTASTIC tour! Biking was relatively easy (and very safe). The speakers on the bikes allowed everyone to easily hear our guide's descriptions as we peddled. Kelly tole very interesting stories and provided good historical notes. The food choices were outstanding, and the afternoon was quite fun. We stopped at spots off the beaten path, which was a plus. I very highly recommend this tour, whether you are a "foodie" or not.
Excellent tour. The bike ride is not strenuous at all. The bikes are very nice with a good seat. Everything is provided that you would need. Guide talks to you throughout ride via Bluetooth speaker on the bike. The food stops were really good. No bad food. Guide appears to know everyone. The Hawaiian restaurant we were supposed to eat lunch at was closed unexpectedly. The guide quickly accommodated and changed plans, plus invited us to join him on his next tour for lunch on him. Be prepared to eat, as it is a pretty large amount of food. Definitely recommend this tour and the food places he took us!
Fun way to learn about and taste Hawaiian food off the beat and path of the usual tourist spots. Kelly was a terrific guide, very personable and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Kelly was a great tour guide! Showed us all around Waikiki area and pointed out spots with some history! All the food stops we LOVED but the poke place was our favorite of the whole trip- we went back multiple times! Amazing food and things we would not have thought to try walking around ourselves. TAKE THIS TOUR!
Kelly was a really fun guy. He knew all the neighborhood food joints so we could eat like a local. The bikes were in good condition too. We really enjoyed our bike/food tour. This was not your usual vacation excursion which made it all the more fun.
This tour was an amazing way to see the city and its local food spots. Kelly was an excellent guide and went above and beyond my expectations. Not only was the food excellent, but he also took pictures of me throughout the tour and made a video compilation of my tour afterwards. Would recommend this to everyone.
