This was a fantastic way to introduce our teenage kids to scuba. We are certified and wanted them to experience an ocean dive after an intro in scouting. Chad and Tay were great with them. We got to do a deeper dive while they had a shallow intro then we did a family dive together. It was so awesome to see our kids, sea life and give hand signals to each other in the beautiful waters off Oahu. Thank you for this core memory experience.

It was rushed and chaotic I wouldn’t recommend this dive center for anyone new to diving.
Fantastic trip. We all loved it.
Experienced divers go down with you. They take care of everything from start to finish. Great staff.
This was my first time trying out Scuba Diving. It was such an awesome experience! Thanks to my instructor Jonathan, he was calm and explained everything in detail before getting into the boat, while in the boat and the whole time while in the water he was alert of everything. Felt safe and comfortable. Thank you so much for this incredible experience.
The scuba experience was cancelled by company (due to lack of instructors) but I still haven't gotten my refund.
Been to a number of dive excursion around the world and this amongst the most fun we’ll still maintaining a level of safety. If you are looking for fun and safe experience, this is it!
My husband and I took 2 of these dives for our Advance Open Water certification. Our instructor was Jamie. Day 1 first dive was working on buoyancy control. At the bottom, we saw turtles, eels, and plenty of fish. The second dive was underwater navigation with a compass along the pipeline. Saw turtles, eels, and fish. Day 2 first dive was a deep dive near the end of the pipe. lots of sea creatures to see. second dive fulfilled the boat dive option for advance open water. Jamie is a patient knowledgeable instructor. She is both patient and encouraging. She gave me many tips that helped me to find tune my diving skills.
Great beginner diving trip. Our master diver Matt was amazing. He helped me youngest beginner diver feel comfortable underwater very quickly. The five spot was great for watching turtles.
Did my first certified dive with Anna, had an amazing experience, saw <12 sea turtles and huge variety of tropical fish. Employees are super helpful and take care of the heavy lifting. If in Waikīkī again, I will be booking with this company!!
I'm a certified open water diver and due to work constraints, I signed up for these dives. I wasn't disappointed. Did two 60' dives and enjoyed great visibility while seeing a wide range of sea life including sea turtles, eels, and rays. Even saw a humpback whale on the boat ride between dives.
Nice staff, nice boat, really boring dive for certified diver. Dive site was close to harbor. So close you could see the boats and read the flags. There were non-certified divers who went out with one instructor and I was with another instructor. I mistakenly assumed for a 2 tank dive we would have 2 dive sites, but this was wrong. We pulled out of the harbor and didn’t go far before we anchored. The dive site was a small reef, not colorful and only a few fish. Snack between dives consisted of packaged Rice Krispie treats and water. After not seeing anything the first dive, I was surprised when geared up to go down again in the exact same spot. It wasn’t colorful or very fun. Ask about dive sites before you go. I wish I had.
instructors Micah, Jim, and Chad are GREAT instructors. I came to earn my PADI Open Water dive Certification. The confined dive was done at lagoon which worked great. Since I needed a little extra help, I switched to a private lesson. Instructor Chad was patient with me. He explains everything clearly. Instructor Chad was with me for the first boat dive. he made sure that I accomplished all the skills. I was able too see a turtle in the open water dive. For the second boat dive, Instructor Devon was superb. He made sure O was able to see many fish including a shark. Instructor Jim was great for the group confined dive portion. He recognised that a group setting was not right for me. he suggested a private lesson. I am proud to say that I did pass the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
We had a great dive with Waikiki Dive Center. It was easy to book when I called and the staff were super helpful. We had 7 dive masters on our boat hosting 18 divers. They were highly qualified. Taylor was our DM and she did a great job at watching over and guiding us on Mid Pipe and Horseshoe Reef. I have 30 dives and my daughter is a newly certified diver. It was her first ocean dive and a great experience to see a reef, 5 turtles, an eagle ray, eels and colorful fish. The dive shop has a variety of equipment for sale. We picked up a t-shirt and stickers. I was hoping for a patch and embroidered beach towel but no luck. This is one of the most professional dive shops you will find and you can count on them to take care of you.
Guides were great and well informed. Had a great dive. Would go again. Loved the dive shop and the encouragement to ge my certification
This was our 2nd time diving as certified divers. Our instructor Chad did a great job in holding back a little and having us do the steps ourselves. It helped us to remember what to do. You can’t learn anything if someone always does it for you. Of course he still double checked our work before heading out so we always felt safe and in good hands. He and captain Jim kept us safe the entire dive. Would recommend this company for diving anytime.
My wife, grandson and I went on this dive today. My wife and I have not dove in over 10 years and my grandson who just turned 18 has never dove. Chris and the team did an outstanding job making this a fun, exciting and safe adventure. I highly recommend this scuba excursion!
Perfect adventure for our honeymoon. We saw all kinds of tropical fish, sea urchins, and a sea star. We felt very comfortable and had a blast the entire time. The staff are incredibly kind and patient. Would recommend!
Great experience for me and my husband! He’s never dove before so Jim was super helpful with helping him learn the basics on the first dive and then joining the rest of the group for the second dive. Saw my first sea turtle while diving so I’d say a huge success! Josh was amazing in pointing out all the things he saw and being a super awesome guide!
Careful with this place if you are a new diver. If you make even a single mistake with the form you fill out they will not tell you about it till you are already through orientation, the car ride to the dock, or the briefing. I put a nasal allergy on the form and that requires a doctors note. Which is all fine well and good, but they didn't check that till I was basically about to ship out. Unable to dive, no time to reschedule, and they refused refund for a simple mistake. Also, beginners can't go if conditions are not ideal, so be prepared to be rescheduled. I tried for Friday morning, got rescheduled to Friday afternoon because they were too full. Showed up and went through everything including the orientation video and got rescheduled to Monday morning. Another group on Friday got rescheduled from the previous Monday to the Friday that I was also on and they had to cancel because they flew the next day and had no chances to reschedule. Final remark. The manager is not a nice lady.
If you are certified do not pick the combo beginner/certified excursion. You will end up wasting much of your day waiting for them to teach their class to the beginners. What was supposed to be a couple hour trip ended up being 5 hours for two short dives. Our group of 3 all came up with over 1500 psi left in our tanks on both dives. Very short bottom time. Wouldn’t recommend this for certified divers.
All staff and captain were very kind and helpful. They were very knowledgeable in this industry and the Polynesian culture. during the trip we encountered numerous whales, and about 50 dolphins swimming alongside our boat, I need to pray to the island God for this! 100% satisfied
Wonderful people, experienced, helpful and very patient. What a great time and location. Perfect dive. No issues what so ever
It's not for everyone. My left ear popped with a sharp pain due to pressure. But still, I've experienced the feeling to be actually underwater 👍👍
Were very helpful and patient especially our dive master Alex. Was a nice basic tour, not to deep not to shallow and saw lots of marine life, the water was so clear and beautiful.
Nick and Josh were amazing instructors as well as Captain Jim who took us in his boat. This was our first time scuba diving and it was an surreal experience.
Great dive shop with an amazing and knowledgeable dive team. Went on a 2-tank beginner dive (1 certified diver, one not), and was truly impressed on the team’s focus on safety for all divers and especially for the beginners. The gear was also in great condition. And the whole team are great stewards for the ocean, all sea creatures, and the environment. Highly recommend the dive shop for experienced and beginner divers.
My experience at Waikiki Dive center was everything I could ask for and more!!! It was my first time diving and dive masters Abby and Alex and captain Yoshi made the experience amazing! They were so knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel safe and comfortable, I can’t thank them enough!😁🤿🐠🌞
I unfortunately sustained a small foot injury that kept me from diving but I still snorkeled around the boat and the crew was wonderful!! Water was gorgeous and I had fun watching the others descend. Next time I will be more careful 🥰🙏
This was a great adventure. The staff was friendly, the boat was clean, and the equipment was in working order. However, for some reason after 40 minutes of diving, I was very sick. I don’t get sea sick ever, but 5 people including myself were puking our guts out. We were thinking that it was unfiltered “bad air” in our tanks but there’s no way to prove that. Overall, it was a neat experience to see the sea life, but I was sick for 4 hours afterwords.
Dive Masters were great. Saw lots of turtles and good visibility and small groups. Got 2 45 minute dives. Good location whiles staying less close to the harbor.
An absolutely AWESOME 2 tank dive. I have been a certified diver since my time in the Navy in the late 70's. My 17 yo son, who is not certified, was TOTALLY taken care of. 2nd tank, was just he and I and his new "Hawaiian Uncle", the dive master. A fantastic Christmas day!
Great time and would do again. But I would do the early dive instead of the afternoon. Dive Masters and Captain were also great
Had a afternoon dive scheduled. Was told to be there 30min ealry. Upon our arrival, the person acted surprised, then someone in the back yelled out that the morning trip was running late, at which the lady then told us to come back in about an hour (30 min delayed from our scheduled time). As we were leaving, another employee walked in, and we overheard the guy in the back say they were understaffed that day. When we returned, the lady began by telling us that the water was turbulent and we risked getting sea sick. She then moved the conversation to how we may not have good visibility. About that time, she took a call, and we overheard her say she “was working on it.” As I conversed, and knowing they were understaffed, the story evolved, and she eventually began trying to talk us out of the dive. Just be honest. Sadly, this resulted in an almost complete waste of our day, and a very disappointed son wanting to complete his first dives. I’m still awaiting a refund of my money- shes blaming Trip Advisor…. If I ever return, I will absolutely avoid this shop. Poor business pratices.
We had two discovery dives booked for today. We were told to arrive 15 minutes prior to our start time at 1:45. We arrived at 1:30 and were told to come back 30 minutes later. When we made it out on the boat we were told that the current was too strong to attempt discovery dives. The crew was super nice and could not have been any better. When we made it back to the dive shop the owner pretended like she didn’t know that we were unable to dive. Then she asked the dive instructor and he explained it to her again. Then she told us that she could not reschedule the dives for any other day, but instead would give us 20% off if we paid in full to reschedule for when weather was permitting. So $400 out the door. They should have offered to reschedule. Not cool.
As a first time diver I was very excited and a little nervous. Jared, Scott and Nick gave clear, calm instructions so that once I was in/under the water I was comfortable and would not panic. The experience itself was great as we got to see the biggest sea turtle ever along with lots of fish and coral. It would have been really cool to see some different sites on the second dive which is the only reason I did not give this 5 stars. However, be advised, this activity is not for everyone as several people in our party could not complete the dives for respiratory reasons and/or got seasick. Even I have a pretty strong tolerance for movement and I found myself getting very queasy on the surface of the water and this feeling took a bit to resolve. But overall this experience was awesome!
This was my first time, Anna, Phil, Chad and Yoshi went above and beyond to ensure I was successful. Chad and Yoshi were kind and patient teaching me how to breathe properly. I highly recommend you give this a try!
The instructors were absolutely brilliant, they were immersed in environmentally friendly practices and they were extremely careful with beginner divers. Initially with the constraints of the wetsuit and the weight of the scuba equipment I didn’t think I was able to do it after some careful instruction I jumped into the water into a different world and my life changed can’t think the instructors enough on they have opened my eyes.
Many years since my last scuba and in fact I needed every inch of Scott's very patient, clear and in a word perfect teaching effort before and in the water. At first i was very 'what am i doing here?' That vanished. Your staff was super helpful with equipment fitting, boat travel and support. Highest possible rating.
Very satisfied and very helpful funny instructors we love ours trip and the weather is nice and people are great
Very professional, safe for begginers, dive master was very professional, will definitely be back! We couldn't go on our 2nd dive due to a strong current. Eventhough the trip ended early than expected, we were 100% satisfied. Thank you for the great experience.
Chad, our dive instructor was awesome. His patience with 4 beginners like us, with no SCUBA experience whatsoever, was unparalleled. He took care of us and always ensured that we received the utmost attention we needed despite some of the challenges we encountered - choppy water, goggles not fitting well, and having trouble equalizing. The rest of the staff are very welcoming and accommodating - from the time we walked in to the store, drove to the bay, did the dive, and came back to the store - which made this experience a memorable one. Thank you Waikiki Dive Center!!!
My daughters and son did amazingly! We saw a sea turtle and so many colorful fish!! My son is 11 and I was worried he would have difficulty but he did better than I did!!
Super cool way to experience turtles in their habitat. Super dive with April and really a lot to see
Two incredible dives with knowledgeable staff and a great boat. Saw lots of turtles, colorful fish and even dolphins.
