Back in 1971, Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first Hard Rock Cafe in London. Their landlord didn’t think they could pull it off, so he granted them a three-month lease. We visited on 17th September and had a great night. We were served by a new member of the team. She did really well. It was lovely to see her being supported by her manager. The full rack of Ribs were amazing. A big shout out too to the Hostess on the night. She was very consciousness, friendly and looked after all our needs. 10/10. Highly recommend a visit.
Had burgers beef and. Chicken for our meal, service was good food was ok
The service was poor from beginning to the end. The original order of drinks came out somewhat slow but nothing too concerning. Ordered our food and took awhile to come out. At that point we ordered another round of drinks. We finished our meal and second round never came out, we told them to cancel the order if they do not have the drinks ready. 20 minutes later the server came out with our drinks, so that was frustrating because we were ready to leave. We asked the server to box up our food, received our ticket awhile later but never received our boxed up food. Sat around other 15 minutes ready to tab out. Finally had to go to the front to ask someone to tab us out. Almost 2 hours for dinner.
Hard Rock is our go to when we travel, we’ve always had consistently good experiences. Denise made our lunch with her vibrant, friendly service. The food itself was perfect.
Food was great and portions were big , pace is cool , don’t forget to stop at the gift shop 😊thank you!
It was a disappointment from the get go. It was mostly empty in the early afternoon and we stopped in for a few drinks and an app. We asked the hostess for a table by the outside railing to people watch and enjoy the breeze. We were told that they were all dirty. When I told her she could clean one for us it seemed like the idea of doing that was a new concept to her. It did get cleaned and we got the table we asked for. Our waiter was friendly and on top of everything, but the nachos were a disappointment with almost no toppings. Just go for the drinks and not the food as far as I'm concerned, because if something as easy as nachos are bad then the rest of the food must be bad.
This restaurant is open to the elements and was overrun with pigeons. The birds are allowed free rein and staff do nothing to discourage them from roaming under and around the dining tables. When I expressed fear and concern, I was told the birds are harmless and to simply ignore them. We chose to leave.
Drinks were good - food came reasonably quick. Our waiter was so funny. Food is reasonably priced. It wasn't busy around 2 pm when we went. They said a live band plays at night on weekends. It's also on the second floor on the main beach walk strip so easy to get to.
My cousins were hungry after just arriving on the island. They just wanted to snack—and I mentioned the Hard Rock Cafe had great appetizers. We were seated upstairs by the balcony. Our server was very friendly and helpful. AAA discount.
It was great here. The location was fabulous. We sat in the open balcony. Love the ceiling display of guitars!! The food and drinks were yummy and reasonably priced. Great friendly service too! Would recommend.
I was shocked as the price was low. I remember in Disneyworld they wanted $50 a hamburger. My wife & I had a Vegi burger and my son a chicken sandwich. We only drank water as we were dehydrated and the meal with tip came to $65. I almost fell off my chair as I swear it cost more in 1990's NYC when I worked down there. The food was bar/pub fare, nothing fancy.
The most terrible experience ever! 6 people in our eating party despite being a group of 22. 1 person didn't eat and yet they charged us for 9 meals! I initially paid the bill (as horrendous as it was!) and then went back to query it. I was refunded $117.00 for the mistake with no apology! The tip was nearly $50! I should have queried that too! Will never go back there!
it was great, food and drinks reasonable. so much memorabilia to look at. you can eat out on an outside terrace and people watch. would recommend.
Party of four visited HRC on our last night of our Hawaii holiday. Service was fantastic, staff were happy to have a chat whilst maintaining their tasks. The memorabilia is worth taking the time to peruse - yes, similar to every other HRC but isn't that one of the points of visiting HRCs? We were all happy with our meals, food was fresh and the beverages were strong! Happy to recommend this HRC to family & friends
Dropped in just for a drink and was sent straight to the bar which was super easy, bar staff introduced themselves quickly and provided water and menus quite fast. They were sociable without being intrusive or annoying which is a bonus, they didn’t pester us to make up our minds. They were honest about one particular beer tap not working properly which we appreciated. Drinks were quick and it was certainly the biggest gin and tonic I had ordered but it tasted quite nice and was well presented. Even as the bar and restaurant got busy the staff didn’t forget the patrons at the bar. If we had wanted food it could have easily been served at the bar which was good. Good atmosphere and people watching
This place is amazing. Food atmosphere, thank for good night. Would be telling every one i know to check out
Good food, pretty standard HRC menu. They used to have the best fish tacos I have ever eaten, not anymore. Overall good fast service, standard menu and prices. Nice atmosphere and location.
We recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu, and while the atmosphere and location were great, the overall experience fell a bit short compared to other Hard Rock Cafes we've been to. The menu is the usual comfort food you'd expect at Hard Rock—nothing exceptional, but reliable and enjoyable. There’s also a good selection of beverages. However, the service left something to be desired. It took quite a while for our server to greet us and take our orders after we were seated, likely because the place was extremely busy. The food didn’t come out all together, which made it a bit uncomfortable for our group as we had to wait while others were eating. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, and the atmosphere was lively. We particularly enjoyed the guitar display above the staircase, which added a nice touch to the decor. The band playing that evening was okay, but not as memorable as performances we’ve experienced at other Hard Rock locations. Overall, it was a decent visit, but it didn’t quite match the experience we've had at other Hard Rock Cafes.
Very poor menu, only one horrible option of desert, pretty much you’re gonna pay $77 for two cheeseburguers or chicken Caesar salad. Not worthy at all. Just save your money.
The food was great! The service was quick. The waiter was friendly and made sure he check on us in case we needed anything. Highly recommend
we did not take a tour. was there more than once. food was great, staff was awesome, drinks wee reasonable. would visit again for sure.
We sat overlooking the street. Great location. Nice atmosphere inside. So many guitars. Food was great. Prices were a little high, but it is Hawaii.
The food was great but better still was our waitress. Amber was simply amazing. We could not have asked for a better person to serve us. Thank you for making this experience so memorable.
Got to the location the server nor manager had any idea what this experience was. After I asked to speak to a different manager she tried to still use the voucher after not providing the service.
Went for drinks. Drag brunch bingo. Wicked fun. Laughed a lot. Good cocktails. Fair prices. Has outdoor seating. Good time
The ambiance was awesome and so was the service. Food was well priced and was better than what we expected. Would go again.
A great location close to the beach and the main road. With the seating on the second floor there is a nice breeze and a great view. We had burgers and fries and pop. Our server Amber was very nice and stopped to chat with us since it was our first visit to the island.
Great restaurant located very close to Waikiki Beach. The food and the service was excellent. A big shoutout to our waiter Nicholas. He couldn’t of been any kinder and patient with our orders. Lots of music history and displays also. We’ll back back. Highly recommend. Great talking to you Nicholas about being safe at Sandy Beach. Thanks!!!
We went to Hard Rock for dinner last night and the place was crazy busy. There wasn't a table available without a booking and every table had numerous people on them. In saying that, the service was amazing and we were surprised at how fast the food came out, fresh and yummy. Great work guys for what you were dealing with. Highly recommend this place.
Hello! We were there last nigh. Was disappointed with the burgers. Used to be better and we had really small portions of fries with the burgers, why?! Also the unity rewards is not working there, not points added?! Not great when they advertise it everywhere for nothing….
Will often visit a Hard Rock Cafe on our travels. You know what you’re getting and they’re often sensibly priced. Honolulu didn’t disappoint. A couple of decent burgers and cocktails and of course a stack of onion rings and we were more than satisfied. Friendly staff and a great view sitting ‘outside’. Booked a table during the day when passing, so suggest you do the same as it did get quite busy.
Food was delicious, service was prompt and professional. Carlin was a great photographer and very friendly. Overall great experience.
Having had excellent experiences at other Hard Rock Cafe’s around the world including in NY and Lisbon, me and my partner were expecting a pleasant experience in Honolulu. It was not a busy evening (even for a Friday) and we had booked a table in advance. Table service was okay and our food came promptly. What I was not expecting was to be asked to be photographed by a photographer whilst eating. We were told these were free. The photographer then proceeds to try and take as many as possible including making us do different poses when we’re trying to eat. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t look great with food in my mouth and my priority is to relax and enjoy my meal in peace. At the end of our food the photographer then comes out with six photos asking which one we are buying. We were then essentially pressured to buy a terrible cringey photo of me and my girlfriend trying to enjoy our food. Aside from photographer, food was average and beer selection terrible. Photos attached and was particular disappointed in the brownie sundae which is awesome in other hard rocks. Cocktails were good but they are tiny for the price you pay (I paid $16 for a Southern Rock in a tiny glass). Overall, our experience was ruined somewhat by the photographer and being too English I tipped too much.
The service, the food the atmosphere was great! Bought a couple of shirts in the store downstairs. And had an amazing meal.
Our family loves going to Hard Rock at different cities- this one was definitely the nicest and newest of all. Definitely get a reservation and sit outside on the balcony if you can!
My husband and I both had burgers, I had a shake and he had a beer. Our burgers were good like they usually are at Hard Rock locations. We sat in an open area patio with a view of the main street. Our total bill was about what one entree had been other nights on our trip.
We have been to over 20 hard rocks on our travels around the world, but this is one of our favourites. The ambiance, the service and the food and drinks are all top notch. It’s situated almost in the heart of Waikiki, it’s such a cool place to be and the view from the balcony is amazing. One of the managers took the time out to come and speak to us at our table and all the staff were brilliant. As in most hard rocks, there’s always a good selection of beers, wines and cocktails, although for me personally there wasn’t much in the way of craft beers. I had the Messi burger, it was very nice and not particularly messy 😊
We decided to go to the Hard Rock was a 'why not?!' - it's simple, the menu is not overly complicated. We opted for the Mahi Mahi special which was delicious and cooked to perfection. They have a great children's menu and its nice to make them feel a bit special. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Having been to many Hard Rock cafe's around the world this lives up to it's brand. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to find somewhere to eat with small children in a foreign place but the Hard Rock is just a no fuss, easy place to eat where you are pretty much guaranteed to get a decent meal. The Honolulu venue has a beautiful upstairs balcony with fresh sea breezes overlooking the main drag for some people watching.
Here with our Elvis group (nearly 100) all of us have been for food/drinks and taken pictures of the Elvis pictures :) Good atmosphere - my Son actually bumped in to someone he works with in the UK! You couldn't make it up!
Visited on a recommendation but wouldn’t pass that forward. Service slow. Food was nothing special; certainly not unique to the venue. Quite an underwhelming experience. Lulu’s is far better
It was our second time at this place. It was just okay. For the meals. Steak was over cooked, tough and chewy. But I found the drinks very delicious.
Great however booking tour restricted the menu options to half the available menu. We also arrived as your app said we could not book but then they said we should have called them directly to make a reservation so had to wait over an hour for a table
The food and service was lovely, we stopped by for a light bit of food and drink when the rain hit. I would have given 5 stars but slightly put out by the fact that tipping is explained by a card and obviously indicated to because we are British . We understand the system! We always tip and this is the first time in Hawaii that it was clearly given to us when presenting our bill on the basis of our accent !
I made a reservation to be seated on the balcony right over the Hard Rock Cafe sign on the second floor. Upon arriving I was told that reservations on OpenTable were not guaranteed. I told them I had made the request several hours ahead of time. They didn't sit us near the sign but instead proceeded to sit three different white families in that area. The area near the Hard Rock Cafe sign was a "white-only" area. It was clear the white manager didn't want the place to look filled with minorities or people of color. The food was horrible and disappointing as well. I ordered the pulled pork burger- it was underseasoned, the bbq sauce was ketchup, and it was cold. I don't recommend this place if you are a person of color.
We always have to go to a Hard Rock Cafe !! And it’s been thirty years since we came to one in Hawaii !! It’s changed location and whilst it was still cool it lacked a lot of the rock n roll Vibe and memorabilia We loved our wings as always !!
Dropped by after seeing fireworks in Waikiki. Not somewhere I would usually eat but remembered my childhood where every new place I went I wanted my parents to take me to the Hard Rock Cafe! There was no wait for a table when I arrived. Service was swift. I had chicken fajitas which were delicious. The portion was large so I took the other half home. For me the bonus was the live band that started around 20.00/20.30 and were great and really created a true Hard Rock Cafe atmosphere.
We thought we would treat ourselves to dinner at the Hard Rock cafe on our last night in Honolulu. I wish I had read the latest reviews beforehand! Firstly - despite the restaurant being only 30% occupied we were made to wait in the downstairs shop for our table to be ready. A blatant attempt to get you to spend even more money on their product. We were finally seated, them ignored for 15 minutes. I made several attempts to attract the attention of the waiters, but was completely ignored. My partner eventually got up & went to the bar to find our what was happening. It was then explained to us that the seating plan had changed but the waiters had not been told. OK, fair enough, mistakes happen. But IGNORING a customer who is clearly trying to get your attention is unacceptable even if they're not in "your section". Our food finally arrived - it was bland & underwhelming. In a final F you, I awoke at 2am with severe stomach pains. Would not return or recommend to a friend.
Last hard Rock visit was Santiago in Chile. Bit underwhelmed there too. Jeremy tried his best but the delivery was underwhelming-Caesar Salad - anchovy? “Yeh we can drop that for Ranch” came out from the kitchen and had received the squirt of anchovy. Burgers - raw tomato allergy but can sort that. Dressing OK? 🤙 Three burgers came out with no sauce. Told Jeremy - brought out three containers of vinaigrette FFS. Never asked how our meals were, suspect he knew what the answer was. Hard Rock - never again sorry
Terrible. I feel like that is the only word I can come up with. Our waitress tried...I know she did. The food was wrong, then when it was fixed, it was terrible. Expensive, bad...just do not recommend.
