Fun & Affordable! West Maui Open-air Sightseeing Tour!

Don't waste your time on this tour...more time on the road, very little time at the stops...really not much to see not even the sunset...rent a car and go sightseeing for yourself

Guys, this was so fun! The bus makes it so easy to look at views and not worry about driving. It’s like driving a Jeep with the doors off!! You get to see so many spots and learn amazing things about the islands. I can’t recommend this enough as an easy experience to see the island and great views! You pull over a few times and get to snap some great pictures! Our driver was the best. He was so chill and nice!! (P.S make sure you add time in your schedule for the parking situation) I’m dropping photos below!

What a lovely experience! Highly, highly recommended. Jimmy was a great guide, and it was so nice to just sit back and enjoy the scenery along with commentary on the various sights. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Maui.

The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. He told us some interesting facts and stories. We highly recommend this tour especially if you are not able to do a lot of walking.

Jimmy was FANTASTIC!!!! Went above and beyond as our tour was scheduled for 1:15 minutes. He made sure everyone had enough time to spare to allow us to expand beyond the set time frame.

Highly recommend this tour. Amazing scenic experience and very knowledgeable driver. Comfortable transport and the natural air conditioning was great on a warm day. Lyft or Uber will cost you around $US140 round trip from cruise port and about 50 minutes each way.

We were excited to find this tour online and booked with my husband and 2 kids. We spent about 2 hours visiting sites in West Maui including a coffee farm, the Banyan Tree Forest, Kapalua, Nakalele Blowhole, and ending back at Whalers Village in Lahaina. The journey was exclusively in the open air shuttle but we did stop for photos, history from our guide/driver, and a short 3-5 minute hike for fabulous pictures.

Tour guide was great, great personality. Very knowledgeable about the island. We went last Tuesday the 29. The wind was really strong. Little did we know about the tsunami alert. Might want to suggest closing in parts of the shuttle. Overall we enjoyed the tour. We highly recommend it.

We loved the care and attention that our tour guide Joe showed. He provided rich details about the history of the island and took pictures of our family. I definitely recommend this experience. If you can do it at the beginning of your trip it’s even better because you will discover hidden gems that you can explore further on your own.

The guide was very knowledgeable and polite, he showed us many different areas as well as shared the history and some interesting facts and information that he knew of. He was very kind and offered sunglasses to every guest on the tour that did not have any due to the winds. Even made sure he slowed down so we could get great family photos. All in all very professional and a great experience.

This sightseeing tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide was fun and knowledgeable and we were able to see a lot of West Maui in a relaxing setting. We were taken on an almost 2 hour tour to see coffee plantations, the blow hole, Honolua Bay, and much more. It was interesting learning about the history of the island, I would highly recommend this tour when you’re visiting Maui.

I truly would say this was the highlight to our trip. If I would have known, I would have booked in the earlier part of our vacation, so that we could have visited a couple of more places. Joe was an awesome tour guide, very thorough and full of so much knowledge of the island. A great photographer too was a plus. I would recommend this tour to anyone who come across this tour. The price was very reasonable and well worth it.

The trip was family friendly and very affordable. The vehicle was super clean and a fun way to move about the island. The driver was great sharing some beautiful locations and teaching is a bit about Hawaii! I had two teenage girls and a 5 year old with me. The driver communicated with us pre trip to make sure all was good!

Complimentary drinks and a great staff. They do everything. Friendly and fun. Food was fancy and okay .

Really enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful areas of Maui. Normally we just stay at the resort and beaches because most tours are so expensive! Im glad I tried the Shaka Shuttle and am hoping they can keep the prices this reasonable next time I come with my entire family.

This is a newer tour that leaves from Kaanapali. It takes you to all the highlights of the surrounding area in a fun and exciting way.

Shaka Shuttle Tours is more like a ride than a tour. If you like being in the open air, this is for you! It’s a lot different than being in a van or a bus because you can feel nature more with the wind in your hair and you get to smell all of the fragrances that Maui has to offer. Would highly recommend for those wanting the full experience of Maui. 

With everything so expensive nowadays, especially when I travel, it was awesome to find such a great tour that was affordable!

Jimmy was our tour guide and he was awesome! I would say this is more like an epic adventure ride than a tour. We cruised through the west side of the island with the wind in our hair, listening to awesome island jams. It does get windy and I did get a little bit chilly, but luckily they gave me a heads up and I brought a sweater. I would highly recommend this to anybody coming to Maui, especially for the first time.
