Prepare to learn something and be open to try all that is being served you will be surprised. The tree tomato was my favorite and I will be looking for it back home.

Our tasting guides were both wonderful sharing info about the fruits. It was very nice trying the different fruits that you sometimes see in stores but are hesitant to purchase not knowing if you would like them. Some were very tasty some weren’t but it it was a great experience & in our opinion worth the $
The hostess was fun and we enjoyed tasting new fruits we’d never tried !!!
What an amazing experience. Not only did we enjoy new fruits, but learned how to open and eat them. What a great experience!
Outstanding Performance, these are some of the most friendly people I’ve encountered very knowledgeable on fruits super helpful. Highly recommended
They allowed us on their tour in the pouring rain. My family and I had a blast. 10/10 definitely recommend
Our experience with Aloha Farms and the fruit tour was very interesting! It was informative, interactive and FUN! The fruits were odd, exotic, and some were delicious while others were…interesting. Leah, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about all the fruits she presented for us, and I believe all the participating groups had a great time!
We had such a wonderful time at the exotic fruit tasting! It was the perfect mix of fun, educational, and absolutely delicious. We got to try around 10–12 different fruits while learning where they come from, which parts are edible, and so many interesting facts about each one. We tasted fruits like snake fruit, white pineapple, rambutan, mountain apples, and several others I'd never even heard of before! The guides were incredibly friendly, engaging, and made the experience even more enjoyable. They were especially sweet to our son and made his day by giving him extra fruit to try. I'm already sad knowing I probably won't be able to find most of these fruits back home! At the end, they even gave us a tray so we could take our favorites with us. There were a few little bugs around, but honestly, that's to be expected when you're sitting in the middle of a beautiful tropical forest. A quick wipe of bug spray was all it took to keep them away. If you're looking for a relaxing, unique experience while learning about Hawaii's amazing tropical fruits, I highly recommend this tasting!
A must do if you want to sample fruits you can't get easily. I love trying new things, and this tour fit the bill! We tried about 10 different fruits and learned all about them as well. The location was great and a nice break from the beach.
This was a fun low-key activity for those who want to sit, relax, and be taught about the abundance of tropical fruit gown on the Big Island. The hosts were well-prepared to serve the small group of less than 20 people a wide variety of Hawaii's fruit harvest. They just kept going & going with ample portions of about 20 fruits. At one point mid-way through the experience they even offered to-go boxes so that we could take extra fruit home with us. As the title indicates, you are going to get nearly a full meal here so be prepared.
Had a great time. Experienced some fruits i would have never tried had i not been educated on them.
Great experience on the Exotic fruits. Owner was very knowledgeable about the fruits. We sampled about 12-16 different kinds and it was very interesting. I would recommend this tour. We really enjoyed it.
Got to try a lot of fruit I would never be able to! Very knowledgable! Great seating area. Store is cute.
Absolutely loved it! One of the highlights of our stay on the big island. Educational and tasty at the same time! Fruit changes with each tour, so different experience every time! Will do it again on our next big island vacation
This was one of our favorite tours that we booked! We got to try and learn all the various fruits that grow here in Hawaii.
Great variety of fruits we’d never even heard of! The guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun and interactive. My husband got to crack a coconut! There really weren’t any fruits that I didn’t like, which was surprising.
We just completed the experience and LOVED it. Very informative and a fantastic opportunity to try different fruits. A must try if you’re visiting the Big Island!
Just delightful! Plenty of variety in fruit tasting and the guide was very informative and great at answering any questions! Property scenery was beautiful to gaze at. Overall I was pleased to give this tour a try👍
The tasting was safe, educational and fun. I think we tasted over a dozen fruits. Leia, our hostess, was funny and informative.
Great fruit experience!! Highly recommend doing this tour! You get to taste lots of local fruit types on a beautiful farm!
Excellent excursion. Very informative and you try a lot of exotic fruit. Highly recommend. Very friendly owners.
Booked the exotic fruit tasting tour. Was able to try about 20 different types of fruit. Informative and tasty. If we were not able to eat all of our samples, Togo boxes were provided which was also great. Would recommend!
I am a foodie. Lots of fruits to taste some I am excited to try when I get home. Informative and fun to try new things. My friend who is not a foodie really enjoyed it and recommended it too.
My boyfriend & I were so happy we booked this exotic fruits tour! We ate so many delicious fruits & the employees were KNOWLEDGABLE and fun! It was interactive, interesting, and delicious.
Great array of fruits offered to taste at a well organized picnic table style setting. I did not realize that bug spray was a necessity and that detracted from the experience. Also, for me, a more complete explanation on the derivation, either culturally or botanically, for each fruit, along with some info about the presenter and the overall business model, would have taken this from a nice day to educationally excellent.
I called them to reschedule my tour because of an emergency and they were extremely inflexible, lost the entire Money and they didn’t other trying to make it up in any way, completely inflexible.
This was by far one of my Favorite things to do in Hawaii. We had a great time and learned so much about each fruit. Some fruits were juicy and sweet and others I will pass on. But overall a wonderful experience. It’s a must try in Kona.
The fruit tasting was something very different to do than your traditional tourist outing and that is what drew us to it to begin with. It was worth it. Very informative and fun to try fresh fruit from the island. All of my family enjoyed this excursion very much and would do it again.
Exotic fruit tasting tour far exceeded expectations. I was worried they wouldn't have enough exotic fruits, but they really did. Jaboticaba, Suriname cherry, Lulo, Salak, Mangosteen, Durian, abiu, caimoto, etc. Really enjoyed the tour and would recommend.
Loved this experience. The owner and helper were knowledgeable, funny, kind. Even though I lived in Hawaii for three years I tasted fruit I had never seen! Would definitely do this fruit tasting again. Highly recommend and also good for kids.
We tried at least 12-15 different kinds of fruits and it was really fun. The group size was nice and the atmosphere was really cool too. There were some mosquitos, but there were bug spray wipes available for purchase. Highly recommend for kids and adults! Cute gift stores on the drive there.
Excellent tropical fruits and discussion! Highly recommend
Has a wonderful experience tasting exotic fruits. The host was very knowledgeable and had so many fruits to try. The fun part was watching my husband crack a coconut.
My husband Denis and I thoroughly enjoyed the fruit tasting experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. Although not every fruit suited our tastebuds , the opportunity to taste so many things we'd never even heard of before was amazing. And we both came away with some new things to pick up at the grocery store! Our host was lovely and very knowledgeable. Thanks so much!
The exotic fruit tasting tour on the Island of Hawaii offers a truly unique and memorable experience for anyone interested in the island’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage. This tour allows guests to sample a variety of fruits that are widely used across the island, many of which may be unfamiliar to visitors. The host stands out as both knowledgeable and engaging, offering detailed explanations about the fruits and weaving in interesting facts about the island’s history and Polynesian traditions. This makes the tour not just a tasting event but an informative journey into the local culture. The tour lasts approximately one hour, making it an ideal activity for those looking to experience something different without a major time commitment. In summary, this is a well-organized and highly informative tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Hawaii. It is perfect for food lovers, families, and anyone interested in learning more about the island’s culinary traditions.
Amazing experience. The host was so friendly and knowledgeable! We would definitely recommend stopping by if you have some time to spare.
This was an amazing experience, one that all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed!! First, we sampled the exotic fruit tasting tour. We had no idea that most of those fruits even existed!!! Lea is not only very knowledgeable but was very entertaining in her presentation. The tastes of many fruits were unlike any we'd had before. It opened up a delightful new chapter in our book of "Things to do again!!" The ATV tour of a mini-Polynesian culture introduction was exceptional! Our guide Wyatt was a hoot! He told us about and demonstrated many traditions of various countries in the South Pacific. He involved us in the activities - that really helped us learn and enjoy his entertaining presentation. Some of the ladies in our group (age 50+) were nervous about driving a 4 wheeler. Those concerns were quickly eliminated by the offer of a 4 passenger UTV that was furnished with an experienced (and really cute) driver. Scenery was wonderful and weather was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better Island adventure!!
Leah did an amazing job introducing us to new fruits. She explained where the fruits originated and which parts we were to eat. The tour moved quickly but at the same time we had plenty of time ask questions and enjoy the different fruits. It was a fun way to learn about and experience so many different fruits that I would never would have tried any other way. Thanks Leah for letting me experience the island’s treats!
What a fun experience, and educational, Lea was fantastic with a witty cute sense of humor, and very knowledgeable. Tasting all the different kind of exotic fruits from Hawaii, worth your time. You will be full when you are done. Experience the ATV tour when you are there as well, enjoy the different cultures and interactive experiences. Ask for Wyatt super fun, and don’t forget to get your dirty sodas from the gift shop.
Being from the Midwest we rarely get any of the fruit we tasted so it was a little bit of an adventure. Glad we did it.
Lea was a great guide. Tour was very fun and educational. Assortment of fruit was good. Papaya was the best. Star fruit was good, especially with the packet of spice she provided.
We had an amazing time and the excursion exceeded our expectations… When I booked the fruit tasting I expected we would get small pieces of each fruit to try, but we actually received full versions of each fruit, so there was plenty to go around. The tour starts off with a short walk around the main property to see the various fruits that are growing and then you settle down to start going over each one. There were some absolutely unexpectedly delicious ones and some hilariously bad ones. LOL This trip would be great for any ages
We didn’t know what to expect from a fruit tour but we were so pleasantly surprised! Wonderful collection of unique fruits, short tour around the property was the perfect relaxing way to spend time with the family. We (3, 7 and parents) had a great time and highly recommend it.
Thanks to Aloha Farms for such an interesting farm tour and tasting experience! We have been to the Big Island many times (in fact, we come each year to escape the winter on the east coast) and this is the first time we have done this tour. It was a great experience- we earned so much about different fruits found on the island (none native to Hawaii) and got to sample about 10 different tropical fruits! We learned a bit about the culture of Polynesia along with eating the fruits. They provide a container for you to take home what you don't eat so you can enjoy the fruits later. This was a wonderful tour - easy to maneuver with lots of time for interaction with the host (the owner of the farm). She answered questions and encouraged participation!! I highly recommend this tour for your time on the Big Island. It's a real treat!!!
Amazing tour! So glad we did this right at the beginning of our stay as we knew exactly what delicious fruit to buy at the markets! The family and our Momma Bear/Boss/Farmer was top notch! Would highly recommend this tour, definitely 5 stars👍🏻🌟
So delightful. Leah was so informative and tolerant of adult questions and kids. Great variety of fruit. It felt like a special Hawaian experience!
My two friends and I had the most fabulous time on this exotic fruit tour! Not only was it incredibly fun, but it was also so interesting and educational. We learned about so many different fruits and tasted varieties we never would have thought to try on our own. Everything was delicious, and the experience was truly unique. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone—and I would 100% come back and do it again!
All three of us enjoyed this fruit tasting experience a great deal and would never have bought all these fruits on our own to try. We got to taste so much: two kinds of papayas with calamansi (lime), two kinds of coconut (cotton candy and dwarf Samoa), apple bananas, ice cream bananas, star fruit, cacao, rambutan, longan, snake fruit, lychee, lilikoi, mangosteen, white guava, two kinds of dragonfruit, abiu, jabocitaba, tamarillo, durian, and four kinds of mango. We finished off with an air dried macadamia nut, freshly cracked. We would definitely do this tour again in a different season. Our tour leader Leah was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the fruit being presented. She lets you know how to cut it and which parts to eat. The tour of the farm is fairly brief, but the main focus of this activity is the fruit tasting. None of the problems that we read about in some previous reviews were an issue for us. We were provided with bottles of water and there were citronella candles burning to keep the mosquitos away.
