Exclusive Landing With Spectacular Big Island Helicopter Tour

Have you ever been awestruck by Beauty? Do you want to be? Yes, yes you do. This tour, if you allow it, will move you in ways you may not have words for - it is a Spiritual experience. Everything, from initial takeoff to the final landing was "Chef's Kiss" brilliance - especially our incredible pilot, Shane, who shared really interesting information but knew when to allow us to simply experience the majesty of what we were seeing. The flying portion of the tour is spectacular and covers the Volcanic, the Garden, and the Coastal on the Big Island. You really get a sense of the vast areas of the island still covered in lava flows going back to the 1800's and how Nature just keeps on keepin' on, growing right on top of it. Incredible! The landing at the waterfall is simply breathtaking (and not to be missed in my opinion). ALL the waterfalls are breathtaking! As in, they took my breath away and all I could do was silently shed tears of Joy through laughter - it was so beautifully overwhelming. And the music played in the headphones during the flight was inspired! The cherry on top of an exquisite sundae. It was a 2 hour tour with the time on the ground at the waterfall and that felt just right. There were four of us but the helicopter could accommodate six. If you have to save up for this tour (with the landing!), do it. Every moment was amazing. It did help that we had incredible weather - some scattered clouds but a beautiful sunny day in October. Do It! You will be so happy! And just buy the USB video stick because you will want to experience it again. I did. :-)

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters 2-1/2 hour excursion was worth every penny. Fantastic pilot was very knowledgeable and actively engaged all passengers by name with questions, information, & humor. Landing next to beautiful waterfall was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!!!

What an absolutely incredible experience! Dale was our pilot, and he was amazing! Great commentary along with being very funny and informative! The landing down by the waterfall was amazing! 🤩 we also especially loved flying by the coast with all the waterfalls streaming down into the ocean! And flying into the canyons!! It was absolute magic! This was an unforgettable experience! ❤️ what a great way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!

This was a great adventure, I had such a great time. The landscapes were so different and beautiful. The waterfalls were amazing and so tall. Were we got to land was a beautiful spot.

Really cool experience. We passed over the Kilauea volcano just as it was starting to churn up some lava. We also did a stop at a waterfall, which was gorgeous. Shane was a fantastic pilot, tour guide, and photographer! He got some great photos of our family at the waterfall. You can tell he really loves his job. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Really great helicopter tour of The Big Island. I would highly recommend doing the option of landing near the waterfall. That piece to me made all the difference and was worth the extra cost. James was our pilot and he explained what were were looking at and also made us feel very safe. I would recommend this helicopter company for anyone who wants to do a tour.

Ours was a fantastic experience that showed us many sights on the island and James told us facts about all we saw. He did well to point out things of interest and any extras like whale sightings. It was very exciting and well worth our time.

The tour experience is awesome. The booking process was terrible. I booked two ticket for me and my husband for 8am tour. Receive two tickets to 10am tour. After I contact Viator customer service, they contacted the pilot and said that we can go with 8am tour. When we arrived at site, Blue Hawaiian Helicopter only had my reservation. They can't find my husband's booking information. We have to pay at the site to have my husband getting on board with me. It happened to other customers too.

This trip was amazing! Our pilot, Matt, was professional and fun. His knowledge of the island was extensive. We lucked out on a beautifully clear day. The waterfall landing was well worth the extra cost. You'll never be able to see the island like this on your own, or experience anything like it. A must do when visiting the island.

Disappointed that we did not flyover the volcanos (due to weather), but the experience was still great and they adjusted the price based on the reduced time & sites on the itinerary. Landing by the waterfall was fantastic.

Everyone at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters acted professionally and seemed to have safety and visitor comfort at top of mind. Matt was an awesome pilot and did a fantastic job telling us about the terrain and the different island features we were seeing. We luckily had gorgeous weather for the day (early August). The headphone soundtrack was an appreciated touch and the the waterfall landing was of course the highlight of the trip. $900 pp may seem expensive, but everything in Hawaii is. You will forget the fancy meals and crowded luau's in a few months. However, you will not regret splurging on this because it is a memory that will last a lifetime.

Our pilot Uncle Kaj was awesome. He was knowledgeable and friendly and put us all at ease. We loved landing near the gorgeous waterfall and having a chance to explore nearby. Highly recommend 👍

Kind, knowledgeable, patient staff. Arrive eaely for weigh in. You can take 1 plaatic water bottle and camera/phone/go pro per person. Complementary lockers provided. Kai was our pilot. He was amazing! Yes, pay the extra for the waterfall landing. Will not disappoint. The pilot will help you with photos at landing site. Soak it all in! Look at everything! The price is well worth it.

Our pilot (Shane) was technically proficient and made us feel safe and comfortable so that we could really enjoy the ride and take in all the unbelievable views! We saw things we had never seen and were amazed by them. Then the exclusive landing by a waterfall in the tropical rain forest by the coastline was breathtaking. My husband & I booked this for our 10 year anniversary trip. It truly was spectacular in every way! Our pilot. Kaj, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. The views were stunning and he made sure to circle around so that passengers on both sides could see the major sites we flew over. The exclusive landing at the 1,200 ft waterfall was absolutely breathtaking and surreal. We took a selfie and when we looked at it, it looks like we’re photoshopped into a screen saver picture haha! Our pilot, Kaj, offered to take our pictures on our phone and they look professional! He certainly knew what he was doing with a camera phone ;-) But seriously, my husband & I do NOT regret splurging on the Big Island Spectacular because it truly was an unforgettable and amazing experience!

Charged $2,000 and then and additional $400 for being 4 pounds over the weight limit. All other companies do a combined weight of 400 pounds for 2 people. Oh, and then we boarded the heli, our pilot told us the flight time would be cut in half. But the office could not give any details of any refund. Especially since I booked through Viator. We did heli flights on every island in Hawaii, but this was the worst communication and organization. Only plus was landing at the waterfall.

Very Good and highly recommended. Take something for nausea . I’m glad they had barf bags . Kai was nice and made sure that all angles were covered for picture taking . We also had a bonus whale and dolphin watching !

I have taken Blue Hawaiian Helicopters on several occasions. I LOVE TH BIG ISLAND tour with Waterfall landing tour. Our pilot was a delight. His love and knowledge of the Volcano, the flows, the history was thorough and so appreciated. This trip I took a friend. Her First trip. She was "blown away".. love you Blue Hawaiian!!! Il be back each year..

This was our first helicopter ride and definitely won’t be our last! Our pilot Matt along with the rest of the crew were outstanding, very friendly and professional!! We loved the landing next to the waterfall, so make sure you go the extra amount of- you won’t regret it!!

Great flight and landing at the waterfall with our pilot, Koji. We did the Big Island Experience. Absolutely the best time we’ve had on a vacation. Everything was beautiful. Koji’s music playlist included Enya… and the Mission Impossible theme at takeoff. We saw volcanos, waterfalls, rainforest, savanna, some sort of Mars training facility ?!? and, of course, the ocean. Take time to thank Koji as he’s a wealth of knowledge for your flights. Thanks again, guys for a great time!

I took the Spectacular Big Island tour with the optional waterfall landing and it was definitely a memorable experience! Seeing the Big Island from the air with its incredible volcanos, lava fields, lush forests and waterfalls was mesmerizing. Hans, our pilot, was friendly and very knowledgable about the entire island. The landing by the incredible waterfall was definitely worth the additional cost. I previously flew with Blue Hawaiian on Kauai and I can certainly say that they are an A+ outfit and give you your money's worth with their flights.

The views where absolutely amazing. The pilot gives some history of the island and the volcanos. This is a great way to view the island like no other!!

Explanations of questions we had from ground travel on the island was really useful. Since you cover alot of the Island, it could be useful toward the end or beginning of your visit. Kaj was an awesome pilot and we were very pleased with the flight. The vents were cool and comfortable. Views are nothing you can get otherwise. Visiting the exclusive waterfall as part of the landing was great and also was a nice little stretch of the legs. Highly recommended. Make sure you bring water.

My family and I had an amazing experience flying with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters! We did the “Blue Hawaiian Spectacular with Landing” at the waterfall and it was incredible! The check-in process was quick and efficient. Kaj was our pilot and he was very personable, informative and interactive with us. The scenery on the island is absolutely incredible! Flying over the island in the helicopter is a great way to many of the remote areas.Each part of the island is so different. It was incredible to land at the waterfall! Quite the experience! It was cool to fly over Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park as well. We have previously done a trip with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters in Kauai and had a great time so we knew we wanted to fly with the same company. I would highly recommend the company and the trip! Thanks to everyone at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for such a memorable and incredible trip!
