This was our second time doing a shark tour in the North Shore (last time was with another company). Our experience with One Ocean was fantastic. Faith and crew made us feel right at home. They prioritized safety, while providing an amazing experience with the sharks. We chose to purchase the photo package, which was pricey, but worth it for a once (or second) in a lifetime experience. We do HIGHLY recommend following their motion sickness protocol, as my stepdad got sick and didn’t get to enjoy any time in the water.

The crew was very friendly, they explained everything and made us feel very safe and secure. In the water, Kaitlyn was great and really showed us how and where to swim. Definitely recommend getting the package with video! Kaitlyn and Haley were amazing! I would definitely do this again.
amazing crew! loved it, saw so many sharks and a hammerhead. sea sickness is the worst tho 😭
Amazing experience. The crew was awesome, super dialed‑in on safety, and you can tell they care about the sharks. Being in the water with Galapagos and sandbar sharks was already insane, but when Killowaya the tiger shark showed up, the whole dive went next‑level. Seeing a tiger shark up close with no cage is something I’ll never forget. If you’re in Oahu, do this, it’s worth every second.
This was an absolutely incredible experience. Would 1000% recommend. The guides are awesome (we had Drew and Tyler), and how often do you get to say you swam with Tiger sharks WITHOUT A CAGE?!? If you’re on Oahu this is an absolute “must do”.
Pretty cool experience. Kinda scary at first but you get used to it. No shark bites. We were in the water for about 40 mins and that was enough, maybe just a bit short. There were about 12 other people including captain and crew, so pretty small size. Lots of sharks
This was an absolutely incredible and surreal experience. I would recommend being a comfortable swimmer but the guides were knowledgeable and very encouraging. I felt very safe and lucky to be able to experience wildlife in their own habitat in a respectful way.
It was a really nice experience!!! The two divers were was so kind and sweet and helpful! The driver could have been a little nicer and less attitude! Everyone should take Dramamine before though.
This experience was AMAZING!! We swam so close to the sharks! Our guide was incredible. I am not the strongest swimmer so I was a little afraid of the dive, but she was right there the whole time to make sure I was safe. Make sure to take Dramamine before you go because the boat ride to and from can be rough.
My family and I had a blast today! Such a great experience with the water being so clear and to see so many sharks! We were stunned by seeing the tiger shark! The staff were so nice, so helpful and educated. Our group was the perfect size. We learned so much and I highly recommend this experience. It’s worth the money.
We had a great outing with the team at One Ocean Diving! We saw a few different species of sharks while we were out there. Highly recommend this tour for those looking to learn and swim with the sharks
I felt so safe. It was amazing! The staff was so nice and I learned so much! This is one of the coolest things I’ve done and would definitely do again!
It was an amazing experience, I would absolutely recommend this activity! I felt completely safe the entire time, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also saw many sharks, which made it even more unforgettable. I’d definitely recommend trying the free-diving option!
Absolute professional Staff. Super communication via Text and Email Awesome experiance plenty of sharks and photo opportunities. I bought the Photo package, absolutely stunning 👌and must do. I am a German Cruise Ship Technician and done this adventure in my spare time. Just Awesome and the prices also reasoble
Wow! Shark trip was super fun, informative, and safe! The girls Hailey and Liko did an amazing job. They guided us throughout the whole ride and in water. Super fun experience 100% recommend ask for Hailey and Liko!
We did the early morning tour with,Andrew, Hayley and Liko. The experience was amazing, sharks keep to the boat even before you get into the water. Never felt unsafe with the crew watching out for all of us. The education on sharks alone should be why you book this tour, swimming with sharks are fun but its hard to believe what they have to go through. ( Nothing to do with the crew but you will be on a rope on the boat I suggest you keep space from one another. You are watchingfor sharks you should not have to worry about getting kicked by a boat mate cause it will ruin all the fun.) Just listen to the crew and you will have a amazing time. They have great knowledge.
Very nice and funny guides, also very expierienced. Absolutely stunning diving experience with a lot of fun! I can recommend a 100%!
This was absolutely amazing!!! Our captain and safety divers were so wonderful. I was traveling with my husband and two teenage daughters and we all had the best time. The crew really had our safety as top priority. This was a once in a lifetime experience to swim with and learn about sharks in their natural environment. If you are on the fence- get off and go do this you won’t regret it!
The weather was cloudy and a little rainy but we saw whales with a brand new baby whale, turtles and fish when snorkeling. No dolphins today but captain Zac was great and all his crew, Brandon, Ben, Xy and can’t remember the other guys name something with a H, I think, and Anon who was taking pictures and in Japanese. They made the day great a lot of fun so glad we did this trip tour.
This experience was amazing! The crew was so insightful and made you feel safe the whole time! I would 100% come back to captain Matt and his crew!
It was the most amazing experience and the guides are fantastic! Highly recommend getting the picture package.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. My open-water dive with One Ocean Diving off Oahu’s North Shore was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, the professionalism, passion, and deep respect this team has for the ocean and its inhabitants were clear. Our guides, Gina and Katelin, were exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely inspiring. They didn’t just lead a dive; they led an education. Before we even got in the water, they shared so much about shark behavior, ocean conservation, and the critical role these misunderstood creatures play in maintaining balance in marine ecosystems. Once in the water, their calm confidence immediately put everyone at ease. You could tell they love what they do and believe deeply in their mission. Swimming among Galapagos and blacktip sharks—completely free in their own environment—was awe-inspiring. Any fear I expected melted away, replaced by a profound sense of respect and connection. What sets One Ocean apart is that this isn’t a thrill-seeking “shark dive.” It’s a powerful, perspective-changing experience that leaves you with a deeper appreciation for the ocean and the urgent need to protect it. If you have the chance to go, go. And if you’re lucky enough to have Gina and Katelin as your guides, you’ll walk away not just with incredible memories, but with a new understanding of how vital and magnificent sharks truly are.
I was scared to death to do this, but this crew helped me feel so much better about getting in the water. Never once did I feel like I was in danger. It wasn’t like the movies portray, it was peaceful and beautiful. We plan on doing this again. I want to do better next time and I definitely won’t be so scared. Great education on the sharks too. We all need to do better to make sure sharks stay in our oceans.
Our experience was nothing short of extraordinary!!! From start to finish the morning was epic. Hailey, Nate, Drew, & Brett were great. Very informative and made you feel safe the entire experience. We had some crazy swells our day out but Nate handled with confidence. In the water as well Hailey and Drew made you feel safe and ensured you had the best shark encounter. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to check something off your bucket list!!!
Outstanding. Loved the educational aspect of this tour. Crew was professional but fun. 10/10 Will come back (especially for tiger shark season!)
I thought I would be nervous/ terrified, but the crew put everyone at ease as we made our way to the site. The guides gave us a lot of information about shark behaviour and marine biology, which helped to ease our nerves. The water was a bit rough due to the season, but that didn't stop anyone from getting the most out of the experience! We saw 1 Galapagos shark, 2 Tiger sharks and about 15 Sandbar sharks, so we had a great time! Don't be afraid, you only live once!
The crew was absolutely amazing!! I have always wanted to dive with sharks but my wife was rather nervous and they made it enjoyable for her! Once in a lifetime experience for most but we’ll definitely be back to dive again in the future! Can’t say enough good things about how they approached everything. You can tell they really love the sharks and the ocean and the passion is real. So much fun!!
It was an amazing experience! The crew was super friendly and helpful throughout the trip. We had about an hour in the water with several opportunities for free snorkeling, and we always felt completely safe. We also learned so much about these incredible creatures. Totally recommend this experience!
Fantastic excursion! Captain and crew were excellent. Saw dozens of sharks. Felt safe the entire time. Would highly recommend.
Wow was this an amazing experience. We honestly though the experience must me overhyped but it was incredible. We really were snorkeling with a ton of sharks. A++ amazing.
Definitely highly recommend. Just make sure you read the instructions for taken Dramamine😆. Epic experience indeed!
My fiancé and I did this amazing experience 2 days ago, the sharks were amazing, it’s so beautiful to see them and you will definitely see a lot of them in this experience! The crew wasn’t the best, they were kinda rude (except the woman and the photographer in there), the guy who was in the water with us said some rude things to people that were scared to diving in, like “you also have to kick, I won’t be carrying you down there, next time you say you don’t want to do it” and also when we were in the line holding the rope he said like “what are you guys doing in there? Move move move, people are smash in the stairs, you need to pay attention on it, move”.. considering that we were all scared, some people like us were doing this for the first time, and have a man yelling at you didn’t help too much. Also, he didn’t let us swim around, we just stayed in a line holding the rope all the time (and the woman said we could swim on the side of the boat, she didn’t say anything about holding the rope all the time). I was very happy about the sharks but the crew could be better and nicer :)
Absolutely amazing. Educational, informational, awe-inspiring, and holy cow …a ton of sharks!!!!! At one point I counted 11 all around us. I could not have predicted how awesome that would be. And the crew. Fantastic crew! Tyler, Faith, and Captain Liko were friendly, fun, encouraging, gentle, and unbelievably great. Tyler and Faith explained everything beforehand, and then gently led us each individually to get the best interaction with a shark. Multiple times. Instructions were clear and they gave us the best opportunity to see as much as we could. Captain Liko was full of knowledge and so welcoming. She got us out and back safely, and definitely imparted some wisdom for those who were a little sea-sick. You guys - these people are the best. No cages. Lots of good work and research and they truly are trying to save the shark population. Sharks aren’t scary! They are so cool and chill - if you know what you are doing. And One Ocean Diving and their crew know what they are doing. Thank you again!!!
My husband and I booked a private charter boat. Everyone on board was great. They made sure to tell us everything we needed to know and what to expect before we got in the water. Everyone made us feel very safe while we were in the water. We had a great experience. They made sure that we were able to see the sharks real well. This trip was probably one of the coolest things we have ever done. We are so glad that we were able to dive with one ocean. They made sure we had the best experience and we got to see a lot of sharks. We would definitely dive with them again. It was so much fun , we learned a lot, we got to see the sharks up close , and I really can't put it into words. Absolutely breathtaking experience.
I’ve done the shark dive with One Ocean Diving twice now, and both times were unforgettable. The crew is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable — they don’t just drop you in the water and call it a day. You actually learn about shark behavior, conservation, and how misunderstood these animals really are. It’s part thrill, part education, and all heart. The dive itself is pure adrenaline. Floating in open water with sharks cruising by is intense, but never reckless. The team makes sure you feel safe while still getting that rush. What stood out both times was how personal the experience felt — whether I was with clients or family, the staff made everyone feel welcome and engaged. If you’re even slightly curious about sharks or want to challenge your own assumptions, this is the place to do it. It’s not just a bucket-list item — it’s a mindset shift.
It was amazing! I have never felt so safe in the ocean. The crew is fantastic and educate you well before getting you into the water. The sharks were majestic, it was magical to share their space with them.
I honestly cannot fault this activity – from the pre-trip communication to the receipt of our go-pro footage and professional photo pack (both well worth the additional costs) every aspect was extremely well managed, and we didn’t experience any issues. During our dive the crew were all friendly, competent and professional, and we felt in very safe hands from start to finish. We had 2 safety divers, a pro photographer and the boat captain for a dive group of 6 people (3 separate groups). The safety briefing on the way to the dive site was easy to follow and very informative, with opportunities to ask any questions. Once at the dive site the safety divers and photographer were first in the water and we could enter once they indicated they were ready for us. Everyone had plenty of opportunity to swim away from the safety rope attached to the boat, but the crew didn’t force anyone to do this if they weren’t comfortable (personally, I found that due to the size of the swells it was actually easier to snorkel away from the boat). I probably wouldn’t recommend this activity for any completely novice snorkellers because the activity takes place in open waters, however, it would be possible to become a reasonably competent snorkeller in a few days prior to undertaking this dive. This activity is perfect for anyone who is a reasonable swimmer or snorkeller and the professionalism of the crew ensured everyone on our dive had an amazing experience with the multitude of sharks we swam with. We didn’t see any tiger sharks on our dive, but we did see Galapagos, sandbar and oceanic black tip sharks. I definitely gained a whole new perspective and appreciation of these amazing animals, and commend One Ocean Diving for their commitment to shark conservation and raising public awareness of their importance to the ocean ecosystem. Overall I would highly recommend this activity.
Great time with Matt, Drew, Gina and Bree! Drew brought life to our dead group with his humour and got us close up with tiger sharks! Great experience would highly recommend!
Amazing!!!! All female crew, very experienced and knowledgeable… safety was top priority… they put everyone at ease whose nerves were beginning to show when boarding the boat. Lots of sharks … definitely do it if unsure - you won’t regret it!!!
This was incredible! Efficient, informative, educational, fun, unique & so safe! You are holding a secure rope connected to the boat & snorkeling simultaneously looking down at a pool of sharks that are minding their own business. You get to swim freely with the assistance of a dive pro while they film you with the go pro. Each person got 3-5 dives. I definitely felt like I got adequate value for this price point. We got lucky enough to have two tiger sharks visit & as nervous as I was when I saw him, I never felt in danger or regret that I was down there. Honestly this was one of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had; my guide Gina was an absolute rock star. She made me feel confident, safe & secure in the water during my free dives which allowed to really feel like I got the most out of trip. Highly recommended to anyone who has ever wanted to shark cage dive or swim with sharks!! Thank you! 🤙🏻👌🏻
The most Incredible experience of my life! Face to face with sharks in the ocean was the most peaceful moment I’ll never forget!! Thank you to Ocean Ramsey and her company! The crew Matt, Gina Hayley and Drew were fantastic!
The staff was friendly ,knowledgeable, and helpful. This is a once in a lifetime experience and everyone involved made sure you were able to fully enjoy every moment safely.
If you are an adventure junkie i don’t know what comes close, not for the faint hearted though. Took my mom and gf and both of them felt like throwing up (gf grew up on a lake so a water girl)
its great! do it. sharks are nice. they are curious and have good hearts... see for yourself. misunderstood creatures. ❤️
The crew was very experienced, safe, informative and patient. They made the experience feel safe and exciting. They had the right about of lax mixed with seriousness. Enjoyed all of it. I never felt in danger the whole time and we came up to the sharks like 2 ft. Away at one point.
This was an absolutely fantastic experience! We saw so many kinds of sharks — even big tiger sharks! I really like how this place focuses on conservation and informing people about the truth of the puppies of the ocean. We got super but safely close to the sharks. We also learned about shark behavior and how to read what they are going to do in the water. I had my first staring contest with a tiger shark — it was really cool. It is a must though to practice with snorkel equipment before hand and be a very strong swimmer depending on how bumpy the ocean is. If you have any chance of getting sea sick follow the guidelines on the website before swimming with the sharks. They kept me from feeling sick on the water. It only gives us five stars but 100/10 would definitely recommend this experience. 😁 I also recommend the photo package because a professional photographer goes in the water with you and the marine biologists also have cameras too. This allows you to fully enjoy the experience and let them do all the photography.
I love going with One Ocean Diving. They educate us on conservation and on the role sharks serve in our ocean. I live in Oahu and take all my visitors to dive with me. We saw a lot of species of sharks and we saw tiger sharks. The crew loves what they do, it is a dream job after all! It would be my dream! Beautiful big boat and views of North Shore. I love the hot peppermint towel after our dive. Was refreshing. Highly recommend this activity. Cannot wait to go again.
We were a family of 20 ( adults, teens and kids) passionate about sharks, coming from abroad to learn from the best and they did not disappoint. Tyler and Faith were exceptional and courteous in every way. We felt safe being led by them and we enjoyed the dive so much that we didn’t want it to end. The work that One Ocean Diving is doing with sharks is not only remarkable but also inspiring. We even came face to face with beautiful tiger sharks. I highly recommend this company and we will definitely book them again next time that we are in Oahu. They are awesome!
Exceptional Experience & Shark Education. Thee Most Graceful Sharks and Peace that will wash over you once you Dive! This Company specifically is the only reason I flew to Hawaii to Ohau! Sharks need us to help them thrive, This is an experience will forever be in your heart . God Bless . 🦈
Kaitlin made us feel so comfortable in the water! This is an awesome experience! It’s a little intimidating when the boat stops and you see the sharks swimming around. But once you’re in the water it’s like being in another world. Kaitlin points out where to dive and makes sure you are safe!! AND she takes a go pro video! Can’t miss this one!!’
