Our experience with Go Tours Hawaii was extremely disappointing and unfortunately put a damper on our Hawaiian vacation. We booked our excursion through Samantha Solemi and Noam. Our scheduled pickup on Saturday, October 31, was at 7:15 AM. We arrived at the designated pickup location at 7:05 AM and waited for over an hour. No bus ever arrived. When we contacted the company, we were told that we had missed the bus, despite being there before the scheduled pickup time. We essentially lost our entire Saturday waiting for transportation that never showed up. Initially, Samantha and Noam attempted to help correct the situation through communication and offered to reschedule the excursion for the following day. Unfortunately, my partner became ill, and we were unable to attend the rescheduled tour. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of transparency regarding a timeshare presentation. We were brought to a hotel for a timeshare sales presentation without being clearly informed beforehand that this was part of the arrangement. Had we known, we could have made an informed decision about whether to participate. Although we initially received communication from Samantha, eventually our calls were no longer answered or returned. We also attempted to reach Noam without success. We subsequently contacted Lois Anne Valenzuela to formally express our concerns. Although she acknowledged our complaint and indicated that the circumstances would be investigated, we were asked for additional booking information and never received a meaningful follow-up. We understand that mistakes can happen, but communication, transparency, and accountability are essential when customers are paying for an experience and sacrificing valuable vacation time. Unfortunately, our experience with Go Tours Hawaii fell far below expectations. I would encourage anyone considering booking with this company to ask very specific questions about pickup arrangements, what the excursion actually includes, and whether any timeshare presentations are involved. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Go Tours Hawaii.

Limited facilities but they do have snacks and a food truck inside the caldera. It’s much warmer inside so come prepared.
Good: shuttle to the hike, including entrance reservation, got us there and back on time. Bad: Driver was not very friendly. Could be so much more if he told us more about himself, the island, etc. Hike itself was fun. We went at 10am which was a bit too late -- do it early in the morning to avoid the heat! Round trip was 1 hr for reasonably fit person. About 500 ft of climbing but path is mostly paved though rough.

The terrain is very challenging and having to really watch where you’re walking. If you have poor knees or ankles you just really need to watch your steps. Tour was great. On time and well informed. Good communication. Had a great experience with Go Tours. Would recommend.

Great tour and friendly guide. Charlie was funny and engaging. He told us stories about everything. We learned all types of history besides the sites we’re going to. We ate a good lunch at Pounders. He had everything planned out and it was easy to get in places. The only suggestion- is vary what stops to go to for a bathroom break. Some didn’t have toilet paper and the women in the bathroom were looking for anything to wipe with. It was gross. Have bathroom supplies on hand if possible. It will make a big difference. It may increase his tips also. People love a prepared guide in respect to that type of situation.

Great tour guide, provided nice info about the island. The hike to the top and back down is at least an hour, with nice views. The ascent is a bit tough, but definitely for beginners. There are resting areas along the way. The descent is easier. It is quite hot, bring at least 1-2 liters of water. A liter bottle fit nicely in my small back pack.
It was easy to get to the meeting place from the ship, it was well organized, it was educational, and it was fun! Two hours was plenty of time to climb diamonds and i am a slow climber. Also, it was hot up there so truly bring water!
Clear communication re pickup etc and the hike is well worth doing. Not a difficult climb and best done early in the day due to the heat. Matthew was a very knowledgeable guide and driver - very prompt in respect of pickups and departure.

Absolutely ABSOLUTELY recommend!!! Mathew was SO knowledgeable, and he talked about all the sites, stores worth going to, and what places are great to stop at, and others that are not worth seeing, and saving your time. He’s funny and you can tell he absolutely loves his job! Wonderful energy and he was so so smart and accommodating! He was able to stop in perfect time for our stops and we had PLENTY of time to take photos! He made sure everyone was on the bus Everytime and I would recommend him and this tour ANY day!!!
