I would have given a 5 star rating for the tour alone. The tour guide was political and many of us found him offensive. One tourist asked him to focus on the tour and not politics. Viator tours are fantastic and I will use them again. It was unfortunate that the guide did not understand his audience.

The Arizona Memorial is the most visited attraction in the State of Hawaii. This memorial is built over the wreck of the battleship USS Arizona. It stands as a memorial to everyone who died in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This attack pulled the United States into WWII. The memorial is also a memorial to the 1,177 sailors and marines who died aboard the USS Arizona when a Japanese bomb detonated her ammunition magazine. Representing almost half of the 2,403 US military personnel who died in the attack. The Arizona Memorial spans the wreck of the battleship but does not touch it. The Arizona Memorial is only accessible by US Navy-operated shuttle boat. Tours are non-refundable if the national park service or navy decide to cancel boat ride programs due to mechanical issues, dangerous weather, or other safety concerns.
Iolani Palace ( Pass By ) Commissioned by King David Kalakaua, Iolani palace is the only Royal Palace on American soil. Built in 1879, the palace served as the seat of power for the Kingdom of Hawaii until the overthrow of its last Queen in 1893. The palace then served as the Capitol Building for the Republic of Hawaii, the Territory of Hawaii, and the State of Hawaii until 1969. The palace was opened as a museum in 1978. Restoration work has taken place in the palace to restore it to its glory days as a Royal Palace.
State Capitol Building ( Pass By ) The Hawaii State Capitol Building was purpose-built to be the seat of power for the State of Hawaii. The State Capitol is a Bauhaus-inspired design with a lot of symbolism built into it. For example, the pillars represent the trunks of Royal Palms which are a Hawaiian symbol of governance. Each pillar represents a Hawaiian Island. The reflection pool represents the ocean that encircles Hawaii. The Capitol Building also houses a statue of Hawaii's Saint Damien.
Statue of King Kamehameha In front of Aliiolani Hale, the home of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii is the golden statue of King Kamehameha the Great. Kamehameha the Great was the man who united the Islands of Hawaii under his rule, becoming Hawaii's first King and the founder of the Kingdom of Hawaii.
Washington Place ( Pass By ) Was once the home of Hawaii's last monarch Queen Liliuokalani. The home was built in 1847 in the Greek Revival style, similar to many homes in the antebellum South. Washington Place was built by the Dominis family. John Dominis was the husband of Queen Liliuokalani. Upon his death, ownership of the residence passed to her. After the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy, Liliuolkalani lived the rest of her days in this house. After her death, it became the residence of Hawaii's Governors.
Kawaiahao Church ( Pass By ) Kawaiahao Church is the oldest church in Honolulu. This church, also known as the Westminster of Hawaii, once served as the main church for the Hawaiian Royal Family. The church was designed by Hiram Bingham, who led the first Christian mission to Hawaii in 1821. To help with converting native Hawaiians to Christianity, his mission committed the Hawaiian language to writing and creating the Hawaiian language Bible. Sermons in the Hawaiian language are given to this day.

We enjoyed visiting a part of our country’s history. We also enjoyed the tour through the city. Our guide, Robert, did a good job of pointing out many landmark sights that we would otherwise not have noticed.
Roland provided us with a comfortable drive to the Pearl Harbour exhibit with some insights into Honolulu’s history and traditions along the way plus key landmarks and buildings on our way back. Great work Roland!
From pick up to drop off most enjoyable experience Driver sure made the tour a highlight Pearl Harbour and Arizona Memorial a must visit when in Hawaii Sombre but so meaningful Would highly recommend
The tour was great. The guide was energetic and fun and worked to keep the energy high and the mood pleasant. He also had water which was great in the heat. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained city landmarks well. Pearl Harbor was a very educational tour
This was an amazing tour of Pearl Harbor. The best part was our guide and the knowledge of Hawaii that he shared. I highly recommend this tour.
Nice tour . Do recommend to others .
Booked tour for 7:30 am, received message night before saying it was changed to 10:30 pm. Not happy. We had another excursion schedule later in the day annd wanted time to refresh before it, but since they changed the time, we had to rush to get to ready for our next excursion. The other people on the tour had different times for this same tour. It made us think they didn’t fill a van for any particular time slot so they put us all together; the 7:30 am time, 9:30 am time, and 10:30 am time. Then since we had to be back by 3:00 pm for our next excursion, we missed one stop on the tour along with the other passengers. The tour guide was awesome though!
Very interesting and touching! A lot to see, audio and visual tours. Good to see sailors and rangers!
You want to be at your pickup point a little early. Our driver was looking for us before our scheduled time. It was good though. The driver was knowledgeable and organized.
We had a great trip with Clementine, he was very informative & knowledgeable. Pearl harbour & memorial tour was wonderful.
This was a great tour for the money. We had plenty of time at Pearl Harbor and had a wonderful mini tour of Honolulu. Our driver was friendly and answered all our questions. I liked that it was on a big van and not a big bus.
We did not get good instructions on what to do after we were dropped off at the gate. We did finally figure it out.
The history and story about what happened on that fateful day was fascinating and also was learning about what led up to the attack.
Moving experience. Very kind, knowledgeable, and friend with his guests. I enjoyed his company.
This tour was advertised as a 5 hour tour and we were dropped off at the port shortly after 3 hours. Waikiki Beach was listed and we didn't make it there at all. The Arizona Memorial was listed as 3 hours alone. We left after 2.25 hours and felt rushed because we didn't have enough time to see hardly any of the museums. Also didn't take us to Washington Place or if we did pass it, he never told us what we were seeing. The driver/guide was very nice and informative, but just rushed the tour rather than giving us what we paid for.
Great way to get to Pearl Harbour and back off a cruise ship with a tour included. Best value for money. We nearly didn't make this tour because of the hold up with customs on the ship. We arrived just as everyone was getting on the bus. The look of pleasure on the drivers face that we made it and the big hug he gave me was unforgettable. Would totally recommend this everyone.
Pearl Harbor was great but feel like we should have been there a lot sooner than we were. Our guide was very nice but a bit unorganized and talked way to much before he let us go and didn’t have time to see museums as we should have.
Pearl Harbour is a beautiful and peaceful place. A place of reflection and respect for the victims that didn’t survive, and for those who did survive, choosing to be laid to rest alongside their fellow soldiers. The documentary at the end of the tour is a must see to fully understand how and why this attack happened. Highly recommend this tour.
Wonderful visit to Pearl Harbor! Our guide, Vanessa, picked us up and returned us to the pier. After she led us inside we were given our tickets along with specific instructions on meeting her after our independent visit. Such a worthwhile experience! During the return to the pier Vanessa provided interesting commentary as we toured Honolulu.
Very informative and interesting. Make sure you follow the guidelines given, it will help you get a better experience. We had Vanessa as our guide and she was excellent. She gave us so much history that most of us were unaware even existed.
We started our tour from the cruise dock, where our guide picked us up in a nice van and arrived early. We traveled a short distance to Pearl Harbor where our guide walked us into the venue. Unfortunately the weather was too windy, and the ferry stopped running so we never got out to the Arizona Memorial. We walked around and visited the museum and gift shop, and purchased tickets to go into the WWll submarine museum and got to go into the submarine as well. We took photos of the memorial, but it was disappointing, through no fault of Viator.
I have severe motion illness. It is noted on the Viator web. The provider promised that the front seat would be designated for 2 people. I sent email, spoke with provider directly twice. But when the pick up time came, the driver said she never got the message. This provider did not accommodate my health issue. Also, this is nothing more than a taxi service of drop off and pick up service.
Driver very dithering, forgot to pick up 4 passengers.Could not hear most of the commentary. He basically just spoke to one person,Should do a check list of people.
I found it Pearl Harbour and especially being out over the USS Arizona a very humbling experience. Our guide,Roland, was as very informative tour guide, full of no on and a great sense of humour.
Father and daughter took the Pearl Harbor tour it was good but if you want to do extra it is at extra cost. The tour Guide (sorry cannot remember name) picked up and dropped off at hotel. He was amazing, full of information and the drive around town was great with his insights of the area. Only trouble was phone number in our booking to contact them is no longer in use, so we called company direct and was fine.
The tour itself was great but driver was 15 minutes late picking us up to start tour and a half hour late picking us up from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. We had already left so we couldn’t re- enter and sat in the hot sun waiting
It was a great experience from start to finish. Dave was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his conversation and great sense of humor. Phenomenal. We went on the deluxe Pearl Harbor excursion and Dave definitely prepared us for what to expect and how to navigate within the memorial. Awesome trip and memory.
Excellent tour! Highly recommend booking this tour as we were able to view the historic Arizona Memorial and most of the displays and historical exhibits. I would recommend viewing the Pearl Harbor film after ferry return trip from viewing the Arizona. The Honolulu City Tour afterwards was a real bonus. Roland, our bus tour guide, did a fantastic job pointing out several historic landmarks and provided very insight comments. Don't miss this trip!
Nice tour. Pros: transportation, a small snack, water, and fruit juice included. Ticket for the memorial is included as well. Cons: Our arrival timing wasn't planned well, so we couldn't see the entire movie before our Ferry Departure. Likewise, it would be nice if the submarine ticket was included.
Our true provider, David did an awesome job of getting us all picked up at our places. Then took us down to the actual museum. Gave us the quick walk-through. And then let us run ramp it for about 3 hours. He then came back and picked us up and gave us a full City Tour which we weren't expecting. Grade the service and our operator, David , and A+++++
Great guide.Vanessa was great.
Amazing experience. Our tour guide, Roland was awesome. Fully recommend!
Vanessa was so friendly and knowledgeable as our driver. The Arizona Memorial will change you. Experience this!
Great tour! Prompt pick up and drop off. Friendly guide that was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Very meaningful heartfelt day especially for those of us who have had family members in the military.
Very informative tour! The tour bus driver was very informative too and very nice! Wish we had more time to go to everything they had there!
Pearl Harbor and especially the Arizona Mermorial are breathtaking and emotional to see. I did not manage my time well and missed the return trip on the tour bus. When Vanessa said get there by 10 to 11 she meant it. We arrived at 10:58 and the bus was gone. I will still recommend this tour but I will caution others to pay attention to time.
This tour was very touching and meaningful, especially knowing the history of what happened at Pearl Harbor. Our tour guide, Vanessa, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun, which made the experience even more memorable. We truly enjoyed the tour and learned so much. Highly recommended! 👌👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great first time experience, very knowledgeable and enjoyed family involvement throughout the tour!
It was too windy to go out to uss Arizona memorial. Disappointed since this was the highlight of this tour
If you have time, add the Missouri and an Air Craft Carrier tour. The Arizona Tour is fantastic. Very solemn experience.
Roland was a fantastic guide! He picked us up at our hotel, and when we got to Pearl Harbor, he walked us up to the entrance and was very specific about how to budget our time at the Memorial. He gave us water, a snack, and our boat ride ticket to the USS Arizona Memorial. The overall experience was beautiful and solemn...a visit I'll never forget. Roland had drinks for us when we returned to the van. He also took us on a tour of historical Honolulu, including the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. As a History and English teacher, the entire day was heavenly.
The Pearl Harbor is the best to visit and the down Hawai’i is also educational to see all places , it is historical.
Vanessa was awesome very funny and knowledgeable on the history of Pearl Harbor and Hawaii. My family really enjoyed it thank you very much
Our guide Vanessa was wonderful. Not enough time to see everything at Pearl Harbor. If you want to see everything, you might want to go on your own. But again, our driver was great. Funny and informative
Venessa was a great tour guid also very funny and sweet. Seeing the Arizona was emotional as well as educational a must see!
The driver was on time and very courteous and knowledgeable. We had to make a change to leave the tour before finished and she was able to make that work. We really appreciated it.
We did the pearl harbor and city tour with Vanessa she was amazing super friendly and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time I recommend to everyone.
Guide takes you to the entrance once you arrive to Pearl Harbor you are on your own. Vanessa was awesome!
