Day Trip From Oahu To Maui: Road To Hana Adventure

We did a day tour where we flew in from Oahu, did the road to Hana and flew back in the evening. Our tour guide was Sale, and he was phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!! One thing I always love in Hawaii are the random chickens, he buys bread at the Safeway before the tour to feed them and they literally follow the bus. It’s awesome! The road is so scary, we debated renting a car originally, but I’m so glad we let Sale handle that. My nerves couldn’t have handled it and you’d miss most of the views if you’re driving. He gave us information throughout the tour and we stopped at some fantastic places. I can’t recommend it enough.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on our Road to Hana tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing driver and guide, Salesi. From start to finish, he made the entire day unforgettable. He was an excellent driver, navigating the winding roads with incredible skill and care, making us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the journey. What really made the experience special was his personality! Salessi was funny, friendly, energetic, and full of great jokes that kept everyone entertained. He also shared interesting stories and fascinating facts about Maui, its culture, and its beautiful landscapes. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the lunch delicious. Mahalo

Sale gave us a great ride on the road to Hana. He told us many stories about the heritage of the island. He showed us lots of sites and the best part was I didn't have to drive.

My husband and I absolutely loved our tour guide, Salesi and the amazing adventure we took on the Road to Hana!!! We were filled with fun information 😀 and excellent stops along the way. We especially loved the black beach and the gorgeous waterfalls that were pointed out along the way. Our trip ended with an awesome experience viewing sea turtles basking on the beach. What a fantastic day we both had and highly recommend this tour to everyone coming to Maui!!!

Our guide was very knowledgeable, funny, and grateful to have us be a part of his Ohana for the day. I would recommend him to family, and would even ask for him personally for another tour of the island. He is a gem!

Cousin Sale was the best. He gave us a history lesson while he drove. Saw amazing waterfalls. Lots of sight seeing lookouts. Plenty of stops to take pics. Lunch included was so tasty. We had plenty of time at each stop. Plenty of time for bathroom breaks. Start time was perfect and exactly enough time to get everything done. Swim at Black Sand Beach. Pics at Red Sand Beach. Turtle Colony viewing at the end of the tour was awesome. So glad I did this rather than drive myself. Definitely with the money to save yourself from stress.

It was a beautiful trip, our bus driver Solly was a a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. If you are in Hawaii you have to book this tour. Don’t wait till the last minute to book because they sell out fast

Awesome experience!! Everything was truly breathtaking! Definitely bring a towel lol even if you don’t go swimming. The shower rain can get you very wet. Definitely recommend doing this experience!

Sale, is an incredible guide! He made the trip so seem less! The pick up was great and the trip was amazing. He was so funny and knowledgeable! He really did make the 23 of us feel like Obama (family)! The views were incredible and lunch was included from a local spot. Bring cash for the stops because there is a credit card fee. Highly recommend!

Sale was one of the best tour guides I have ever experienced on a tour, and I have been on a lot of Tours he was knowledgeable, friendly, hilariously funny, and made sure everyone was safe and having a great time! He even gave us a surprise at the end of the tour but I won't give it away here.

Sale was amazing he talked great stories and made the adventure really interesting. Food was great as well. Thankful he drove cause I considered doing the drive but I was glad I didn’t!

Salesis did a fantastic job! I very much appreciated him and his services. I can't say the same for our "guests." A couple of women were late for the pickup (arrival) and seemed like they thought they were "privileged." Salesis handled them much better than I would have.
