Our guide Conroy was outstanding. He took us all over the island with beautiful stops along the route for photos, food & drink and shopping. He is very knowledgeable & interesting to speak with. Flexible and accommodating, would highly recommend.

Excellent tour to see this beautiful island! Van was very comfortable with plenty of air conditioning. Conroy, our driver and tour guide was very good. We felt like we have known him for years. Made serval stops for Hawaiian treats; Portuguese donuts, coffee, shaved ice and Dole whip! Thank you so much!

We were in contact with Carey before our tour and he was very helpful at giving us ideas on what to do during our custom tour. On the morning of departure, we were contacted by Ehukai and he offered to pick us up early as he had the vehicle ready to go. We were able to see all the stops on our list and he gave us some great ideas of additional stops and lookout points, as well as recommendations for lunch and a perfect stop for dinner and drinks at La Mariana, before getting dropped off at the airport for our flight home. We would highly recommend this tour as a great way to fill a day before a late flight home.

Ehukai from Custom Island Tours was our guide. We had a list of things we wanted to see, and he touched on each one of them…even if it wasn’t able to be seen. He knows the island well and our favorite things were touching and breathtaking…Byodo-in, the blow hole, the arched rock and Tantalus look out over Waikiki where a rainbow graced our presence. True blessings from above. He even sat with us for a beer at Waikiki Brewing… not to mention eating with us for lunch at his suggested Teddy‘s for mild spicy shrimp it was amazing … A job well done by Ehukai who went above and beyond.

This is literally the BEST tour I've ever been on in Hawaii! I searched for days to find the right excursion to see Oahu through a native's eyes. Kai was the most informative and personable guide we've ever had. I love that we got to customize it to our preferences and were also really appreciative of Kai's suggestions and knowledge. I truly recommend this tour as the most memorable once-in-a-lifetime. You will not be disappointed!

Kai was our guide. Native Hawaiin and very knowledgeable about Oahu. Great sightseeing and photo ops. Great food and snacks along the way. Very enjoyable tour. Expensive but reasonable for a quality all day private tour.

Ehukai with Custom Island Tours was an amazing tour guide today. The 9+ hours we were with him went by so quickly because he made the trip super fun and informative! He was very knowledgeable about the whole island. He grew up here and therefore had a wealth of knowledge about the island and knew where to take us to go off the beaten path and to also hit all the major must-sees. Ehukai is a great and safe driver and made sure we were comfortable with temperature and beverages etc. He always made sure to stop for must have photo ops and to let us know if we wanted to do something or go somewhere all we had to do was just let him know. 100% recommend him and the company and would do the tour again in a heartbeat

He’s a local and you can really tell he cares about the island and what he does. From the beginning he made us feel super comfortable, like we weren’t just tourists. It felt more like we were just hanging out with someone who knew all the best spots. He was really easy to talk to, had great energy, and shared a lot of cool info without it ever feeling boring. What stood out most was how real he was the whole time. Nothing felt forced or scripted, and he actually took the time to connect with us, not just run through a tour. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. If you’re in Oahu and want something more personal and not just a typical tour, definitely go with Sean. I’d 100% do it again.

This was the best thing of our whole trip!! Uncle Sean was the best tour guide ever, if you pay for one excursion let it be this one. He takes you around the island to see all the best spots, you get to try different local foods and get such an amazing and interactive lesson about Hawaii’s history. It was 8 hours and he goes above and beyond even after your tour to make sure you get the best experience!!

We loved the 8 hour Custom Tour of Oahu. There wasn't anything our guide Conrad didn't know about the Island. The tour suited us no waiting, no getting on and off a bus we could stop at spots for as long as we liked. We highly recommend Custom Tour Guide.

My wife and I were first time visitors of Hawaii and our custom tour of the island with Shawn was all we could ask for! He brought us to all the must sees of the island and gave us some great history of the islands during the tour. He made sure we had all the photos we needed and also snuck in some local only stops. He always made sure we were having fun and loved to make us laugh with some island flare! I would recommend Shawn and this tour to anyone interested in seeing all of Oahu!

Sean is an outstanding tour guide. He incorporated the list of places we wanted to see and filled out the day with good surprises. We wanted to focus on history, culture and architecture and he delivered. Sean is a knowledgeable story teller who kept us entertained - even when we hit traffic delays due to road construction. He graciously made a return trip the next day to our hotel to return a bag that was left behind. We highly him.

we had an amazing time our tour guide Shawn went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience. I was on crutches, so was limited as to what I could do, but he made sure that we were able to experience everything we wanted to. When things took a little longer because I couldn’t get around as well he took time out of his day to make sure that we were able to hit all of the spots and helped me get around. He also took pictures and sent them to us so that we could remember the experience and gave us great information on the islands. He took us to places that we didn’t even know about. Overall was an awesome experience. if you are looking for a private tour of the island, definitely ask for Shawn

Our driver was JP - and we give him 5 stars and the highest recommendation. He was born on Oahu so he knows the island well and provided interesting commentary when indicated. We had a few places that we wanted to visit which he seamlessly incorporated into the trip, he also modified our route so that we were only minimally impacted by the recent landslide and road block. He was willing to extend the time for a fee if needed to fit everything in that we wanted to accomplish but as it happens this proved unnecessary. Above all, his driving did not cause my husband to get car sick which often happens if he is a passenger. JP, thank you for a great day as we learned more about your island. We went to plantations, turtle viewing and botanical gardens. Our tour guide was terrific. He was very knowledgeable and told us a great many interesting facts. The guide was so personable we even took him to lunch. He knew wonderful sushi restaurant.

started off as and island tour, went to dole plantation, then to north shore. After leaving the north shore passing a restaurant driver said they had the best margaritas on the island, told him to turn around to test his claim, was a pretty good margarita. Then our island tour turned fun and proceeded to stop at the drivers favorite dive bars on the way back to Waikiki which i found to be a better time with my friends then stopping at all the tourist spot

We had a great time and experience! Huge shout out to Conroy for a perfect day. He arrived on schedule in a nice and clean van. He hit all of the places we wanted and more. He let us move at our own pace at each place. As we traveled he shared about the communities and history as we passed through each one. It was truly relaxing, fun, and educational. We took amazing pictures (thanks for your help there as well Conroy.). He also took us to a great place to eat for lunch as well.

JP gave us a wonderful customised experience. He was super accommodating leaving out the things we were not interested in and adding others that he knew we would enjoy. This was an awesome tour. We booked their custom circle Island tour. It was a great value. Our guide, Conroy, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was more than happy to accommodate custom requests where he could and even showed us a few other spots he thought we'd like. The vehicle was roomy, super clean, and comfortable. Conroy was a good driver and very courteous to others on the road. My fiance and I had a great time and looking forward to booking other expeditions through them in the future! Having a private tour is usually much better than travelling with a large coach journey . In fact , we have just completed three other private trips around Kauai, Maui and Hilo.All have been great with enthusiastic guides who have drinks available in a cool bag and snacks. This was different. Our guide JP was a little late turning up and while he said hello to my husband , he didn’t introduce himself to us. Through the whole trip he kept sighing and shifting in his seat . Several times he had to brake suddenly because we were too close to the car in front. Although he was knowledgeable about the island, he seemed really bored and just reeled off information. Only warm water was available and stored in the boot of the car. Hated the stop at the food trucks. It was grubby and unhygienic with primitive, dirty toilets. The plus point was that the car was comfortable and clean .

We did not really enjoy this trip. Our guide seemed disinterested and as if this was a bit of a chore for him. He kept fidgeting in his seat and sighing and coughing. We didn't really see any wildlife or turtles. Our lunch stop was at food trucks, which were not appealing. We did not feel as if we saw that much and were glad when the trip was over. We saw beach viewing points and not much else.

Our first trip to Honolulu was great thanks to JP who was a wonderful tour guide and host. We visited several amazing sites suggested by our host as well as a few other places on our list. JP was knowledgeable about history of the island, and we had a wonderful relaxing day. The shrimp place on the side of the road we stopped for lunch was an unexpected delight. The food was delicious. The van was nice, but a little difficult to get in and out of for two elderly ladies. Overall, we had a great day and would highly recommend JP as your tour guide.

Best thing to do as a first timer in the island! Our tour guide, JP, was very informative and knowledgeable of the different sights. We were able to hit a lot of the spots, and even those we weren’t expecting to see in Hawaii. He was also very warm and accommodating with the places we wanted to visit. The van was very clean, too!

Our trip was very good. Our driver was nice, and he took us to the places we wanted to visit. The only downer on this experience is that we booked it through an online website, and somehow the reservation didn't get transferred to Custom Island Tours. After they were 20 minutes late to pick us up, we called and they scrambled to find a driver. So we waited, and we got started about an hour and a half late. They need to fix this communication problem. If you use them, I would call an hour before pickup to verify that they are sending someone.

Our custom tour was well worth it. Carey made sure we saw all we wanted to see in the one day. He had great knowledge of the things that interested me: the plants, nature and local history.

This is a great tour. It’s completely customizable and flexible. The driver, Carey, was very knowledgeable and personable. Ask for Carey to be your tour guide when you book this trip because he is extremely patient and has great stories. You will really enjoy the tour.

We took a very relaxed tour with JP. He picked us up at our hotel and showed us all the places we have been wanting to visit. The car is extremely comfortable and we made lots of stops for photos etc We are in our 80’s and I highly recommend this company as they do indeed customise their services to suit the customer.

Our driver was JP. He was very punctual, flexible and accommodating. He picked us up from our cruise ship in Honolulu on time and took us on an excellent tour starting with the Pali Lookout, continuing up the east side of the island and going to the North Shore to see the waves and surfers. We stopped in Halewia on the North Shore to do some shopping and then continued down the west side of the island to attend a luau. Along the way JP shared his knowledge about local history, customs and language. JP was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. And he got us back to our ship on time!
