The coffee workshop is great! It was a hands on experience to brew and taste the coffee. Normally I have cream or sugar in my coffee but with the tasting we did black coffee and the coffee was rich and did not need anything to it to enjoy. I got some great tips to brew coffee which I will use moving forward and even bought coffee

This is a fun and interactive class. You get to learn about the growing, harvesting, and roasting process and how each step effects the coffee you drink.
Really nice experience. Educational, learned quit a bit about the different ways to brew coffee and the types of coffee to use. A+ customer service. It felt like ohana. I Recommend Hala Tree coffee and their tours.
It was a great experience to brew the same coffee 3 different ways and taste the differences. Very knowledgeable and kind staff.
Beautiful area. Great coffee, friendly staff. Marissa was super knowledgeable. Helped us better understand all things coffee. Growth, roast, and preparation methods.
Great. Well worth it. Underrated. Strongly recommend. Especially good coffee as well. Try the cherry tea they make too.
Marissa knows coffee! Well worth going to Hala Tree for this workshop! Had a private lesson. Book now.
It was a lot of fun to learn about coffee. Highly recommend you do the workshop. The people there were very nice and knowledgeable.
It was a very enjoyable and informative one hour seminar on different methods of brewing coffee. We actually learned quite a bit.
We were educated about different brewing styles - pour over. French press and espresso methods. The coffee to water ratios, ground style and be able appreciate the different outcomes.
Marissa was awesome and very knowledgeable! We enjoyed learning about Hala Tree's coffee growing and roasting process and their recommended brewing methods during our (roughly) hour-long workshop. Marissa gave us excellent recommendations for local poke shops. Highly recommend!
Great place to learn how to brew coffee but also being educated on how kona coffee is produced. Coffee was great!
So much amazing information and the coffee tasting was fantastic! Not anything too advanced but perfect for coffee lovers!
The brewing workshop was a great way to highlight how much of an effect on taste different brewing methods have. I would consider it a beginner level class for those that are moving away from K-Cups or Folgers and are interested in buying whole beans at different roast and processing methods. Our guide, Marissa, was a lot of fun and accommodated my group's needs (my wife translating english to Spanish and my 4-year old wanting to participate). The coffee was sampled was freshly roasted and had great flavors to it, which was brought out differently by the french press, pour over, and espresso preparation. It was a great laid back experience set on a coffee farm overlooking the Kona coast. I would recommend this to anyone looking to sample some great coffee and you may just expand your knowledge at the same time.
I had been here before a couple years ago although I learned a few new things this time. My friends had not been to a coffee farm before. Great guide with a wealth of information. Excellent coffee too! Very pretty grounds. Lots of fruit trees and beautiful flowers. I recommend this place.
We did the free coffee tour and then paid for the additional tasting flight to try some of the different types! We loved Hala everyone was very nice and the farm was really scenic! Would recommend!
Would definitely recommend visiting this place. We waited till the last minute to decide if we had time in our busy schedule to fit in and so glad we did! We even returned the next day for fresh coffee! The brewing workshop was excellent, the staff was wonderful, and the coffee was amazing. Make sure to take the time and stop here on your stay you won't be disappointed!
The farm tour and the Coffee Brewing workshop were very informative. I am so thankful that we signed up. The coffee farm is beautiful and the staff is knowledgable and friendly.
We did a short tour of the grounds (ha!) that included an explanation of the processes used to take their coffee from the plant to your cup. Very interesting and informative. After that was a tasting in their wonderful "visitors center" with a fabulous view and many coffee varieties to choose from. They are friendly and very knowledgeable and I guarantee the experience will expand your knowledge of this magical little bean. Great experience!
We had a wonderful, enthusiastic guide so showing us the plantation, who gave great explanations on the growing, collecting and roasting of the beens and let us have a tasting of different flavours and types of this excellent coffee. We really enjoyed it, thanks!
Great free coffee tour with lots of interesting information. Highly recommend it. Personally I’m not a coffee drinker but the honey dark roast may change that.
We appreciated the brewmaster's expertise and willingness to answer questions almost as much as the excellent coffee. We're still hoarding the end of our last bag of the incredible beans we purchased at Hala Tree after our workshop. Those folks really know what they're doing.
Hala Tree was definitely a highlight of our vacation! Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly beyond belief!! We completed all of the tours and experienced some of the best coffee ever. Perfect notes and blends. We were even able to purchase a bag of the coffee we roasted! Hala Tree is a must do!!
We attended the coffee brewing workshop. It was informative and very well planned. It was just my wife and I in attendance, so we had ample time to ask questions. Afterwards, we took a tour of the plantation which was also quite informative. If you like coffee, I would highly recommend.
Short, but free and nice. Pleasant staff that seemed very knowledgeable about the processes. Enjoyed it a lot despite not being a coffee drinker. (Wife is.)
Kat was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to answer odd questions. We learned sooo much about the process of brewing coffee. It’s incredibly complex! The experience fed my mind and my caffeine habit. Highly recommend.
A very informative and hands on brew class! We will be able to brew a perfect cup of coffee going forward. Learned a lot and Cat was super fun! They also have a great selection of products to chose from!
Nice and small tour. Our guide C was super knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. We did the tasting and loved the honey dark.
