Certified Scuba Diving Along Two Shallow Reef Sites

Larry was horrible. DO NOT GO IF LARRY IS GOING TO BE ON THE BOAT. He made a female team member cry on the ride back in. He was inappropriate and vulgar. He cussed at people on the boat. He was oppressing and rude. And after he would be rude, he would still look at you to help him get into his own Dive gear.

I’ve completed 14 dives with Aaron’s Dive Shop during my time on Oahu, and every single one has been outstanding. The entire team is professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating memorable dive experiences. I dove with Ken, Brian, Santi, and Britt, and each guide brought something special to the day—expert knowledge, calm leadership, and a fun, welcoming attitude. Captain Garrett kept everything running smoothly on the boat, and the atmosphere onboard was relaxed, safe, and enjoyable. We visited multiple dive sites, explored several wrecks, and saw an incredible amount of marine life—turtles, schools of fish, and vibrant reef activity. Every dive felt well‑planned and unrushed, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the underwater scenery. A special shout‑out to Brittany, who was exceptionally friendly and shared great recommendations for local places to eat. That personal touch made the experience even better. Aaron’s Dive Shop is a top‑tier operation with amazing people, excellent service, unforgettable dives, and amazing staff. I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Oahu.

An early morning dive is met with the vivacious Francesca our dive instructor diva greeting us and ensuring our Nitrox levels are right on. Captain Garret met us at the dock and let us know it was perfect conditions to visit Corsair. The deep dive was awe inspiring, Francesca calmed me when the excitement of the descent turned to panic. A few deep breaths and excitement came back in time for me to see garden eels and the decaying fuselage of the corsair. As always each day of diving with Aaron’s staff brings a great time where safety is number one.

Well looked after, friendly and knowledgeable. Did my reactivation dive with them, having not dived in a year or two. Well looked after. Saw turtles, moray, tang and an array of reef wildlife. Great local knowledge and you can see that the staff thoroughly enjoy what they do. Totally recommend them.

Highly recommend Aarons dive shop and their staff. If you want a more personalized, locals vibe where you don't feel like just any customer that walked in the door, this is your shop. We started our experience with Aarons by enrolling our kids online in PADI open water certification along with a refresher for Mom and Dad. Rachel and Charlotte got us all the info we needed and helped us set all that up and then got us scheduled for pool training and dives when we arrived on Oahu. Britt was our instructor and did a great job with us and our kids (13 and 10 ) finishing up our instruction and pool time. Our kids loved her as an instructor- very patient and thorough. She helped them gain confidence through the whole process- all the way through their open water dives and completion of their certification. On the boat we had great dives with Britt, Franchesca and Paul. Captain Garret deserves a shout out as well. His assistance on the boat elevated the experience. Lots of great expertise with these guys all around. Knowledgeable, safety focused and fun. It was a great experience with a great team that was exactly what we were looking for to get our family certified/refreshed and into the water!

Francesca was a wonderful dive master! This was my first time since my certification diving in saltwater. Francesca helped me get my weights right and achieve neutral buoyancy. She also listened to our requests about which sea creatures we were hoping to see and ensured she pointed them out. She was very aware of the group's participants and worked to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I appreciated that our group was only 5 people and that Francesca provided clear instructions on how she would communicate during the dive. They also provided snacks and ginger on the boat to help with sea sickness. I would highly recommend Francesa and Aaron's Dive Shop. If you book through TripAdvisor, be sure to contact Aaron's Dive Shop to complete the waiver prior to the dive and arrange transportation. We were unaware that they provided transportation from Waikiki to the dive site, which cost an additional 40+ USD via Uber, so be sure to be in contact beforehand.

Had a nice day of two shallow dives offshore from Manaloa Boat ramp. The divemaster Ken was professional, safe, and knowledgeable for our group. He gave us clear overview of the dive sites, and safety expectations. He also pointed out turtles and a hidden octopus. I'd recommend going with this dive shop!

Had a blast with Kenn and crew! Professional, nice dive locations, and done 'right.' We had such a good time a will definitely be. ack!

Amazing! Captain Garrett, Instructor Brian and Instructor Ken were super kind and helpful. I love that the tour cost includes full gear rental, so I didn’t need to pack any gear in my luggage for the trip. The rental gear fit and performed well. I didn’t know how many weights to use because it’s been a while since the last time I dived and I gained 20lbs since then, but I told Ken my weight and what he put in my vest was just right! Other features on the boat: freshwater shower water cups snacks shelf to keep dry items tips accepted via cash or venmo Overall, it was a great day of diving and I would 10/10 dive with Aaron’s dive shop again.

Communication is noteworthy. I reached out to them from the mainland before I arrived in Hawaii and got prompt responses. I couldn't ask for a more helpful team! Brian, the dive master, was so accommodating to me - an older woman who hasn't been diving in a while. Garrett, the boat captain was eager to lend a supportive hand. Both were kind, caring and pleasant. I've never been treated better on any other dive!

Aaron’s dive shop provides local Hawaiian care and friendliness with the best dive boat crew in the industry. As a Padi Instructor and a current coast guard licensed dive boat captain, I could not have assembled a better, courteous, caring, attention to detail, fun, compétant and safety first crew. I brought 4 First time scuba divers to try Discover Scuba on their Dive Boat. They were my Son, my Grandchildren of 10 and 12 years, and my sons friend. How well did they do? They said it was the best part of the entire trip and all were wanting to do it again the next day. If you didn’t have a great experience on your last dive boat, just tell them to go take a dive with Aaron’s Dive Shop to see how an exceptional dive boat experience is supposed to be like.

Just went out on a dive with Aaron's Dive Shop yesterday. It is the first dive of my AOW certification. Francesca led the dive. She's awesome. She was very helpful and patient with me while I went through each of the exercises. Captain Garret is awesome on the boat. He takes care of everything before, after, and between dives. The team there is just awesome. I have been out with Ken, Chandler, and Francesca. They're all awesome. It really makes a difference to be out with people who love taking other people diving. I'm sure they've all seen every turtle and blowfish and octopus in their normal dive sites. But they still get excited to show the divers.

I had 2 fun dives (one deep, one shallow) with Aaron's on 8/06/2025. Our Dive Master guide, Francesca, provided a good run down of what to expect with each dive site. At one point during our ascent, my GoPro camera somehow slipped away from me. Our guide sprang into action (before I could even myself react) and literally 'rescued' my camera before it sank back into the deep. Thank you, Francesca!

My 11-year-old son and I went on a 2 tank open water boat dive with Aaron's Dive Shop. This was our first actual boat dive and the staff did a great job of answering all of our questions and setting the expectations for the trip. Safety of all the divers were the staff's greatest concern. They were friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and very helpful leading up to and during the dives. I would dive with Aaron's Dive Shop again.

I've been part of Aaron's Dive Club for 2 years. It's a good value and they have very good dive guides. The boat captain (Garret?) is super on task always and helps with gear changeovers, gear maintenance tips, and he just really cares about his job. We have had lots of dive guides with Aarons- most recently Bryan who did a great job managing our group.

Attentive service on a small group tour. Very clear water and a nice variety of fish and reef landscapes. In Manalua Bay.

The staff (Justin, Francesca, and Captain Garrett) were very friendly and professional, as well as very efficient which was nice. The two dives we did had very beautiful water and although we sadly didn't see too many animals, there were some really good fish and coral.

Had an opportunity to dive for a day with Aaron's; found them through an on-line search and think we really lucked out. We are both experienced divers but this was our first dive off O'hau and the first time doing anything is always a learning experience. Ken was our DM and Garrett was our captain; both were informative, patient, and helpful as we negotiated the unfamiliar: the swells and the pitching boat. The dive company had no control over this whatsoever but the weather and currents cooperated and we got to dive a spot that divers apparently don't get to very often. Very cool. Recommend weekdays rather than weekends if possible--much smaller groups of divers. All in all very satisfied. Highly recommended and would/will absolutely choose Aaron's again.

We'd just moved to Hawaii and live down the road from the shop. We called in to chat with the staff and find out about the diving club, what dives were offered, etc and we received the best, friendliest and highly knowledgeable advice from the terrific team at Aaron's Dive Shop. We booked a dive pretty much straight away and got excellent comms and info about our dive. The boat was clean, well laid out and the briefing was clear and well instructed. We had a great time diving under Dive Master Kai, he was really knowledgable about the area, understood the conditions and instructed the dive accordingly. Overall the whole day was a lot of fun and it was clear all staff got along with each other and really loved what they do. Highly recommend Aaron's Dive Shop and will certainly be diving with them again and again.

I can’t say enough good about the staff at Aaron’s. During my open water dive certification, I felt so supported by my instructors and the dive masters. My days on the boat were extremely radical thanks to Brian, Kai, Grady, Justin, Aby, and Captain Garrett. I want to give a special shoutout to Justin and Aby- my dive instructors. Not only did these two provide top notch instruction and demonstration on dive skills, but they made the entire process super fun and rewarding. On the boat we jammed out to reggae and snacked on fresh cut fruit (excellent touch btw). Thank you to everyone at Aaron’s Dive Shop who made my open water certification an unforgettable experience. If you’re planning a dive on Oahu and debating which company to go with, I’ll make up your mind for you. Aaron’s for the win!

Brian, Josh, and Francesca are true professionals. And extremely nice. The dive was very organized, no hitches. Equipment was top notch. And Captain Garret ran a smooth trip. I would dive with them again anytime!

We had a great experience with Aaron's dive shop. My daughter and I were both certified and we wanted to experience a couple dives in Hawaii. Gary, the instructor, and Garret, the boat captain, were great. I would recommend Aaron's for anyone looking for some diving off O'ahu.

Divers were in the water drifting for 2 hours before a random sailboat found them. After 1 hour the captain was not looking for the divers, and even that would have been too long to not know where your passengers are. No call put into the Coast Guard or any emergency assistance was asked by the captain. There's no excuse for not even looking for your divers knowing they are at least an hour overdue.

Great crew, boat and Captain! It made something always enjoyable, memorable! Dive Masters Alexandria and Josh, along with boat Captain Steve, were helpful, professional, and personable! GREAT EXPERIENCE! Highly recommend Aaron's as always have a good experience with them.

Excellent dive charter with Chandler, our dive master!!! With less than a dozen open water dives under our belts, Chandler provided a dive experience that was fun, and safe for us. The dive party was small, which allowed for a very personalized experience. I always rank feeling safe the top priority when diving, and Chandler was by far the best dive master that my wife and I have experienced. I recommend Aaron's Dive Shop to everyone!!! You will be impressed.

The service from everyone at the shop is phenomenal. I really appreciate the way these professionals bring extra comfort and fun into diving. Kai was an amazing buddy/dive master. He showed me some things I have never seen before and I am so beyond grateful. He also gave me great suggestions for where to go snorkeling. Stephen or Steven was a great captain and made my mom feel safe enough to go snorkeling when I wasn’t there and gave her great conversation while I was in my dives :) Thank you to Tony as well! He doesn’t work there but maybe one of you at the shop can pass along my thank you. He is truly a special diver and he made my dive 100x better. You guys know what you’re doing and I appreciate that. Thank you for a great experience! I honestly thought I would walk away from these dives not wanting to come back. It’s the complete opposite. I HAVE TO COME BACK. Great day out with the crew. Abby, Chris and Garrett took great care of us. Chris took my first time divers out and they had a great time. Always felt safe and had fun. Lovely fresh pineapple treat at the end. Highly recommend!

Went on a dive of fantasy reef yesterday with Aaron's. Had a blast. Madi, our dive master pointed out some amazing sea life including several sea turtles and some small white tipped reef sharks. Everyone inside the shop is so helpful and enthusiastic. If you're on Kailua said then this is the shop for you. If you're not on Kailua side, go there anywhere.

This was our teenagers 3rd and 4th open water dive as certified divers-The crew was great. They were very accommodating and attentive. We like them better than some other shop crews. They also gave a military discount which was awesome. We actually booked this through the Marine Corps base in Kaneohe . The current was crazy and the swells were really high, but they were very calm in managing things. Location away from the busyness of Waikiki is awesome! Also, we had two friends who did discover scuba diving, and they did a great job with them.

Had a great time with Aaron's dive shop in Oahu. Did two shallow reef dives in the late morning. Conditions were excellent, Christian, Molly, Ken, and Felipe were fantastic dive masters who led the group well. Easy parking at the beach. Got to see a few green sea turtles also!

Had a great time diving with Aaron's Dive Shop going to the Corsair Plane Crash site at about 110 feet. I joined the club and would give these highlights about Aaron's and the dive: 1. Corsair is a small wreck from 1945 but the sea life and amazing colors make the dive so relaxing and interesting. 2. The dive guides Maddi and Brian were super helpful and are truly guides and not dive "baby sitters". They allow a diver to explore while also keeping a watchful eye for safety. 3. The captain, Garrett, is amazingly helpful on the ship helping in all kinds of ways from helping repairs, ensuring dive gear is ready and transfer of equipment to the next tank even if it's your own equipment...very helpful! 4. On Sunday, there were about 10-12 divers which made it fairly crowded on the boat and difficult to find seating with all the gear. I hope sometime they get a bigger boat :-) 5. After diving, they gave everyone a heated towel which was really nice... 6. Lastly, Aaron's really promotes a pleasurable and safe diving environment. They are guides while they also respect each individual capability and experience. Even for my birthday dive with the club, they allow diving within the birthday month versus just on your day of your birthday. Thanks Aaron's for the great dive, professionalism and support!

Awesome dive shop great crew Chandler and Gary were very helpful and accommodating. 1 deep dive at the Corsair plane wreck and 3 shallow reef dives in a day with these guys was easily achiveable if you have limited time.

I finished my PADI open-water checkout dives 1-4 with Instructor Chris and Boat Captain Matt. They were both super welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. They made sure I was comfortable in the water and answered all of my questions promptly. I was recommended Aaron's by several friends and they did not disappoint. On the boat I was accompanied by many very experienced divers. They were all regulars at Aaron's and were also super welcoming. It seemed that they had a blast as well! I will definitely be diving with them again!

All of the crew was super nice and made a great day out of low visibility! I had so much fun and plan to go again
