Certified Diver: 2-tank Shallow Reef Dives Off Oahu

Best diving experience so far. Saw turtles, octopus, sharks and bunch of other stuff ,:) highly recommend:)

The guys were very nice, safe and helpful. We did Turtle Canyons and Kewalo Pipe reef dives. First was a surge dive depth max. 39 ft with lower visibility since the waves were so huge above. Thank goodness I wasn't snorkeling. Will be diving again with them in the West side later this week hopefully.

After 40 years of not diving, the reactivate class/dive with JEFF was outstanding ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had to relearn a few things and Jeff was gracious/professional towards me out/under the water! Mahalo Jeff for your service to our Country from this Marine Veteran, you'll see me again at Dive Oahu a lot 🤙✅️🤿❤️💯

Took my Son, Brother, and Son In Law, diving for Brother and Son in Laws Birthday both on the 17th we all had a great time. Ships captain and crew are excellent. Patrick our dive master was on the ball always checking on the guys who had not dove in years. Would highly recommended

They are very nice and are good ambassadors of the ocean. The boat is solid lots of room and easy to get comfortable on. Both dives were fun. I saw turtles, eels, a huge puffer fish, lots of other fish and the surprise of the dive, a white tip shark chillin under a coral reef over-hang.

From the dive shop where I booked my two dives today to the actual crew on the dive boat, everything was perfect . $250 approx for the 2 dives including all equipment is a great deal. And it was just me and another certified diver with our guide Patrick. Patrick is very professional and super knowledgeable. We spotted dozens of turtles in our 2 dives plus at least 10 eels including two large moray eels. We also got treated to an octopus too. Matthew the captain was friendly and assured me several times too. Nacho was training someone new to diving . And what can I say about Jeff? Wow. Jeff you rock . I hope someday we get to dive together . He made an extra effort to snap photos from on board . I saved the best for last. He got us photos and videos of spinner dolphins that paced our boat for several minutes . A unique experience for all of us customers. Thank you Jeff. We greatly appreciated you texting us the photos and videos ( see a few attached )

Our trip was so amazing! Our guide was also so sweet and professional and amazing at what she does! The boat provided a lot of drinks and snacks for us and the dives were absolutely amazing! We saw so many sea turtles, fish, sharks, and even an octopus! Each dive was almost an hour and there were only 5 of us on the excursion so it was very personalized. They also provided shorty wet suits which were very nice! I would 100% suggest this dive for any divers on Oahu!

This is probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had I was booked in to dive on a Saturday morning. I got to the dive centre to be told they were cancelling it because of the poor weather. This was annoying as they could have contacted me before I left the hotel (no one had bothered to do so) but I accept that sometimes weather conditions can be unpredictable. I rescheduled for Monday morning. Anticipating the same problem, I emailed an hour beforehand asking if they could please let me know if it wasn't going ahead again because of the weather. Nobody got back to me so I got an Uber to the dive centre. When I got there the guy on the counter, who sounded like he couldn't care less, said it was cancelled again. I was really angry that AGAIN nobody had bothered to contact me and had not replied to my email specifically asking if it was still on before I set out. I had now wasted money on a pointless Uber trip there, no chance of a refund of that. The guy on the counter said they had phoned but the call probably hadn't connected because I had an international phone number. If they KNOW this is an issue, which they obviously do because the guy raised it, then why don't they message through the app or email????? I imagine a lot of their customers are international tourists. To add insult to injury, I returned home from my holiday a couple of weeks ago and was looking at my bank statements today - they have not even bothered to refund me. This company has taken £187 of my money, cancelled the trip twice and cost me a pointless Uber fee. I am now having to go through GetYourGuide to try and get the money back. AVOID

This was a great way to get some diving done in Oahu without having to have a car or bring a ton of gear. It was nice to have a few trips a day to choose from and very convenient to get your gear sized and situated before leaving the harbor. Our group was 6 divers and a guide, so it was a small enough size group to see quite a bit and still have an experienced crew member/guide close by. (This would be great for inexperienced divers or divers who haven't been out in awhile.) We saw tons of sea turtles and SO many different fish. Boat had our tanks set up and ready and provided snacks, waters and a bathroom. We wished the reefs had been in better shape, but some of that may have been damage from recent big storms and the waves that crash into shore very nearby. Don't forget some reef safe sunblock! We took a Lyft from Waikiki to get to the harbor, but decided to walk back to town since we didn't have much to carry. Highly recommend walking through nearby Moana Park. :)

Thank you Dive Oahu for giving us a great guided experience at Turtle Canyon and Nautilus!!! So many turtles, eels, and reef fish my mainland family are still talking about the dives. Shout out to Captain Jeff, Lindsey, Colton, Wes, Josh! We’ll be back!

Had a really good experience with Nacho and the crew on Anger Management. Did the shallow reef 2 tank dive as it’d been several years since my last dive. Due to the storm the visibility wasn’t great, but saw enough marine life to make it worth it. The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would like to come back and do the Wreck and Reef dive with them.

We were scheduled to dive the day the tropical storm was driving high winds. They communicated with us all the impacts and although rescheduled due to weather 3 times they kept us informed. When it came to the dive the crew was amazing with my wife’s first deep dive, they coached her and made it more comfortable for the both of us. The sites were amazing with an abundance of sea life.

I went for a dive with Nacho, Matt, Eric, and Jacob acting as crew. They helped me and my husband all throughout the way. It was definitely worth the money!

Took their Rescue Diver course and it was fantastic. Very professional but also brought fun to what is a very serious class. Scott was a great instructor and him, Jeffery, Colton, and Nacho were all great dive masters and boat captain for our open water portion

Amazing experience! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to go diving while on Oahu. The small group size of only six people made it feel like a very personal and enjoyable experience. Nacho and Ella were absolutely the best—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire dive fun, safe, and unforgettable. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Did a morning dive with Adam, Colton and Ella. We got lucky as it was my wife for snorkel and me solo for dive so a personal experience for both of us! These guys were great - highly recommended!!! on the dive we saw turtles sharks, eel plenty of fish.

Great experience with Dive Oahu. They were very accommodating and flexible when I needed it. Rental equipment was excellent. Mark and Adam were very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe underwater with them running the tour. I will definitely book with Dive Oahu next time I am in Hawaii.

My wife and son and I went with Dive Oahu on our recent trip to Hawaii. My son and I did their two tank, shallow reef dives and my wife snorkeled. We had a great experience. My son and I had Nacho as our guide and he was patient, knowledgeable and fun. My son has been certified for a couple of years, and I've been certified for about 40 years, but we're just vacation divers. Which means every dive for us is kind of a refresher dive. So, Nacho's easy-going approach was much appreciated. The whole crew was a pleasure. We were met at the harbor by a staff member who explained the check in process. Check in was easy, as was getting our gear. The ride out to the reefs was quick and smooth with plenty of snacks and sodas and water available throughout the trip. The dives were fantastic. We saw a shark, many turtles, a couple of octopus and various fish and a crab. We would definitely use Dive Oahu again.

Husband is a diver and I am a novice snorkeler so we booked the dive where I could snorkel as well. I was the only snorkeler. The staff were great for the dive and snorkeling itself. We saw turtles and fish the first dive, which was the point of us booking this experience. They were knowledgeable about they types of fish we were seeing and for spotting them and pointing them out. This was a special experience for us, which hubby wanted captured, so we added the photo package onto our experience. The photo package we paid for was a total waste of money. The pictures were not good at all, and not one good picture of me snorkeling. They did get one decent one of hubby diving, but it’s the only photo I’d be able to use in my scrapbook. Photos were blurry, off color, heads cut off and poor all around. Not even good photos of the marine life. The photographer used an iPhone in a waterproof box. If I had known that was how they were doing it, I would’ve bought my own camera housing and taken my own photos! Paying for a photo package, we expected an actual camera to be used. So, the photo package were a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Brian did send a follow up email to hubby afterward asking about our experience. We did let him know we were not happy with the photos and the extreme solicitation for Trip Advisor reviews. The captain/course director made it a point to ensure everyone on the boat knew to leave them good reviews on trip advisor—no less than 10x. Not a great impression as we were leaving. First couple times funny, but then it was annoying. We also called a couple times after we didn’t get a response to the email and left messages, but have not received a response and it has been two full weeks since we did the dive.

I wanted to make it a point to write and thank the dive oahu team for a great time today. My wife booked a last minute 2 tank dive for my son and I after we thought we were not going to have tome or an opportunity. From the young lady in the shop (sorry didnt catch her name) to Nacho and Jacob on the dives everything was great. Nacho and Jacob did a great job, were very welcoming, and made us feel safe and right at home. Thanks Dive Oahu for getting my son his 20th dive and both us our first Pacific dives.

Great dive instructor and boat captain. Very relaxed dives onboard Stress Relief....strongly recommend clear water very little current. Sea King and pipe were very enjoyable dives.

Was a great trip. Did it 20 years ago was good then that’s why I came back. My two oldest kids finished their PADI cert on this trip with them.

Absolutely outstanding job by Nacho, Ella, and Lindsey. I have dove all over the world and have been able to see the good and bad with dive shops worldwide. I can say this one is near the top. Nacho did an outstanding job as Captain. Ella did a great job guiding our Two Shallows dive. Lindsey provided an excellent introduction to a young man who was doing his discovery dive. What sets this dive shop apart, though, is the attention to detail with the “little” things that matter. One of which is having a bucket of cold water in order to keep our cameras from overheating while transiting to dive sites. The other is having a hot, fresh water shower to use after the dive. I have never seen “little” things such as this that greatly enhance the customer experience. As such, since I live local, I ended up joining their dive club because I was so impressed at their superb and professional operation.

I decided to get certified with Dive Oahu. The whole team was amazing and great to work with. The instructors for the class were super knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions and their expertise with diving was apparent. During the first open water dives the entire boat crew made the whole trip fantastic. I couldn’t recommend this team enough. If you are looking for a wonderful dive experience while you’re in Hawaii I highly suggest you pick Dive Oahu!

Fantastic diving with 80+ feet of visibility and an abundance of marine life. Highlights included colorful nudibranchs, large sea turtles, pufferfish, and huge schools of yellow tangs. A special thank you to Ella, Jeffry, and Nacho for making the experience so enjoyable and for providing patient, supportive guidance to both me and my daughter, who is a new scuba diver. The only thing that could have made the experience even better would have been having an underwater photographer available to capture the dives. Aside from that, everything was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this operation to anyone visiting Oahu.

Great Dives today! Nacho, Riley & Lindsey were world class. I did 2 tank dives and my niece snorkeled. It was the best dive trip I have been on! Lots of sealife and Lindsey was great with pointing out things I would not have noticed. .

We had a great time at the dive! Nacho was a superb captain. Ella and Rachel were our dive leads, and they took us to all the best stops to find turtles. We saw at least 20 turtles, including some that were just napping! We also saw a shark! Such beautiful scenery for both of our dives. Overall, great experience, and we definitely will dive again with this team when we are back on Oahu.

Excellent dives with extremely knowledgeable staff. Pat was my dive lead and he did an amazing job pointing out all the wildlife along the dive. Nacho was an amazing captain, he talked me through a PTSD moment at the beginning of my dive which would have ended my day early. Colton and Ella were equally amazing caring for the other groups on the boat and keeping things organized and moving efficiently! It should be mentioned Nacho, Pat, Colton and Ella were amazing on this dive tour. I would also like to give a shout out to Nacho, Pat, Colton and Ella who were consummate professionals! Of note Nacho, Pat, Colton, and Ella did an amazing job keeping the tour interesting and engaging throughout the day!

The crew was great. Nacho, Lindsey, Chris and Jeff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This was our first dive after certification. The crew created a fantastic atmosphere, answered any and all questions and were driven to provide us all with the best experience possible. Chris was our dive guide. He was patient and did a great job finding and pointing out what we all came to see. We saw schools of puffer fish, sea turtles and eels among other loads of beautiful, colorful fish. The boat was clean, comfortable and spacious. Overall we had an experience we will never forget and Dive Oahu was a big part of that.

I did my PADI open water certification with Jeff, he was an amazing instructor, teaching at a pace I was very comfortable with, his professionalism and knowledge showed. The second open water dive the crew Nacho, Jeff, Ami, Justin, Patrick and Fabio were all very friendly, helpful, and most importantly fun.

Completed our open water certification with dive Oahu (didn’t let me select this option above). Only had a few days to complete before leaving Hawaii and our instructor Jeff was incredibly flexible fitting everything in 3 days. He warned us at the start that because the course was so quick he might not be able to be as personable as usual. Our experience was the complete opposite of his warning—he was one of the most personable, enthusiastic, and all around knowledgeable teachers me and my brother have ever had. Would absolutely recommend jeff and the rest of the team to anyone who wants to scuba in Hawaii! The best time!

Justin, nacho were great, took care of us, didn't see to much unfortunately the first shallow dive did go see the turtles where all the snorkelers are and a colorful reef afterwards. Was good to get a few good dives in to.

Awesome dive overall! The crew was great, and Patrick was an incredible guide. Super chill, very knowledgeable, and always looking out for everyone. He pointed out tons of marine life I would’ve missed and made the whole dive feel easy and fun. One of my favorite dives—would absolutely dive with this team (and Patrick!) again.

I previously did the Discovery Dive and decided this year to get certified. Charlie and Ami were great instructors. Charlie was the divemaster for all 4 of our open water dives over Sat/Sun and we got to see some really great stuff. He also took pictures and video underwater and made it available to the divers in our group. Adam was a great captain and the entire team was very fun. I will absolutely book dives with Dive Oahu again!

There's a reason I joined the Dive Oahu club while stationed on island. The store staff are always friendly and helpful and the boat crews are always awesome. I've done 8 dives with DO and each one has been great. They really try to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone. As a certified diver, I've seen them doing a thorough and safe session with Discover Scuba and Open Water students, not appearing to rush through instruction which unfortunately I've seen at other dive shops around the world. Even on island I've seen some eyebrow raising practices at other shops and for all those reasons I'm loyal to DO.

Everything about this experience was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, the crew was professional, welcoming, and genuinely made the day feel special. Great experience for the two tank shallow reef dives. Really enjoyed the whole crew. Everything was set up by the crew so it was literally just walk on the boat and then throw your gear on a minute before you jump in. They changed tanks and did all the clean up- no need to lug anything anywhere. Would love to dive with them again next time I’m in Oahu. Thanks Nacho!
